GENERAL SOLUTION AND ULAM STABILITY OF GENERALIZED CQ FUNCTIONAL EQUATION

  • In this paper, we introduce the following cubic-quartic functional equation of the form $$f(x+4y)+f(x-4y)=16[f(x+y)+f(x-y)]{\pm}30f(-x)+\frac{5}{2}[f(4y)-64f(y)]$$. Further, we investigate the general solution and the Ulam stability for the above functional equation in non-Archimedean spaces by using the direct method.

오령산가미방(五苓散加味方)으로 호전시킨 기능성 설사(泄瀉)환자에 대한 임상적 고찰 (A Clinical case study about the Effects of Oryeong-san Gamibang on Case of Functional diarrhea)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Leejung-tang plus Oryung-san Gamibang on functional diarrhea.Method : We treated a 72-year-old male who had severe watery diarrhea and bowel sounds. The patient was treated with Korean medicine including Oryung-san Gamibang from March 31, 2016 to May 23, 2016. Defecation frequency, Bristol stool scale, Bowel sound, Patient's condition were measured.Result : After oriental medical treatment, clinical symptoms of functional diarrhea (defecation frequency, stool form, bowel sounds) were recoverd normally.Conclusions : Leejung-tang plus Oryeong-san Gamibang effects on the functional diarrhea of a patient diagnosed as Deficiency Cold (虛寒). This case study shows that Oryeong-san Gamibang is clinically effective for functional diarrhea. So that, it is helpful in decreasing the symptoms of a patient and in improving quality of life.

  • This paper is a multipurpose functional synthetic resin formwork which can replace existing euro form. We tried to improve the disadvantages such as work noise, stenosis, recyclability, and workability of Euroform system. As a result of the test, Euroform showed an average of 106.7dB and synthetic resin formwork showed an average of 100.4dB. Therefore, it is considered that the synthetic resin formwork has a great effect of noise reduction compared to the euro form.

  • Various methods have been proposed for the time series prediction. Most of the conventional methods only optimize parameters of mathematical models, but to construct an appropriate functional form of the model is more difficult in the first place. We employ the Genetic Programming (GP) to construct the functional form of prediction models. Our method is distinguished because the model parameters are optimized by using Back-Propagation (BP)-like method and the prediction model includes discontinuous functions, such as if and max, as node functions for describing complicated phenomena.   • In this paper, we introduce the MC-CDMA (Multi-Carrier CDMA) system with MD (multi-detector). Due to unknown functional form of noise in wireless channel environments, it is not easy to design the detector through estimating the functional form of noise. Instead, we design the MD, which is constructed based on DGT (Data Grouping Technique) and quantiles estimated through RMSA (Robbins-Monro Stochastic Approximation) algorithm.

한국의 남해안과 서해안에 생육하는 지충이(Sargassum thunbergii)의 착생 해조류의 종조성 (Epiphytic Algae Growing on Sargassum thunbergii in Southern and Western Coasts of Korea)

  • 갈조류 지충이의 표면에 부착하는 착생해조류의 종수, 풍부도, 부착위치 및 기능형을 조사하기 위하여 남해안 9개 무인도와 서해안의 격포 해안에서 2001년 여름에 지충이를 채취하였다. 지충이에 착생하는 해조류는 총 25종이 동정되었는데, 분류군 별로는 녹조류 6종(24%), 갈조류 2종(8%), 홍조류 17종(68%) 이었고 남해군의 장고섬, 노루섬, 소목과도에서 생육하는 지충이에 가장 많은 9종이 착생하였다. 착생 해조류 중에서 애기가시덤불, 구멍갈파래, 가위갯쇠털의 순으로 출현 빈도가 높았으며 애기가시덤불은 모든 해안에서 발견되었다. 또한 애기가시덤불, 두갈래사슬풀, 애기서실은 지충이 엽체의 하부에, 붉은실류는 상부에 부착하여 생육하였다. 기능형으로는 막상형 8%, 사상형 52%, 성긴분지형 32%, 유절석회조형 8%가 존재하였으며 각상형과 혁질형 해조류는 없었다. 위다년생인 지충이의 착생해조류는 봄과 여름에 관찰되는 바위두룩과 같은 종이나 사상형의 일년생 해조류가 주로 나타났으며, 유성생식을 하는 이들은 포자생성 및 방출을 숙주 해조류인 지충이의 엽체가 탈락되는 늦가을 이전에 일어난다.

독도의 하계 해조 군집 (Summer Marine Algal Communities at Dokdo, Korea)

  • We extensively observed macroalgal assemblages of species composition and biomass of summer benthic marine algae at Dokdo in the East sea of Korea. A total of 102 species (12 Chlorophyta, 36 Phaeophyta, and 54 Rhodophyta) were identified in quadrats and were analysed qualitatively to define the variation patterns. Biomass in dry weight according to various depths ranged between 146.0 to 764.2 g m-2 at study sites. Mean biomass at the investigated sites was greater in the 10m depth range than in the 5 and 15m depths at Dongdo. The flora could be classified into six functional groups: coarsely branched form (51.0%), filamentous form (17.7%), thick leather form (15.7%), sheet form (5.9%), jointed calcareous form (4.9%) and crustose form (4.9%). The R/P, C/P and (R+C)/P value were 1.67, 0.50 and 2.17, respectively. The number of marine algae species and the biomass in Dokdo area were markedly reduced as compared with those in the previous studies. This result suggests possible future changes in the algal vegetation, considering coastal marine environment of this area.

부산시 오륙도 주변 해역의 해조 군집 (Marine Algal Communities around Oryukdo, Busan, Korea)

  • Marine algal flora and community structure were seasonally investigated at Oryukdo, on the southeast coast of Korea, from March 2011 to February 2014. A Total of 66 seaweed species including 6 green, 7 brown and 53 red algae were identified and 23 species were found throughout the survey period. Seaweed biomass was maximal during summer in 2012 (2276.2 g wet weight $m^{-2}$) and minimal in winter in 2012 (9.1 g wet weight $m^{-2}$). The dominant species in term of biomass were Undaria pinnatifida, Dictyopteris prolifera, Dictyota dichotoma, Sargassum horneri, Rhodymenia intricata, Acrosorium polyneurum, and Polyneura japonica during the suvery period. The flora could be classified into six functional groups: coarsely branched form (30.3%), filamentous form (24.2%), thick leather form (19.7%), sheet form (15.2%), jointed calcareous form (7.6%), and crustose form (3.0%). The numbers of marine algal species in the Oryukdo area were markedly reduced when compared with previous studies at Dongbaekseom in 1971. These results suggest possible future changes in the algal vegetation, considering the physical and chemical pollution loadings in the coastal marine environment of this area.

  • This study the workability of synthetic resin form was examined through field application. results there was no warping or bulging of the mold during concrete placement in the field application. Also, the concrete surface finish of synthetic resin form was better than that of euro-form.

  • This study started from the interest about a theme repeated in a similar way among a group of architects in Japan. They argue that a building composed of random elements can lead to discoverable functions rather than fixed functions. Their work supports this to a certain extent, but at the same time raises the following two research questions. Can 'formal randomness' and 'functional discoverability' be completely identical? Does such a form sufficiently fulfill other functions of the building? In order to answer these two research questions, this study analyzes the relationship between form and function in the 'Children's Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation' of Sou Fujimoto. The analysis proceeded in three steps. In the first step, I found that alcoves were the most important factor in functional discoverability by comparing scenarios with different conditions. At the same time, however, I could see that these alcoves were weakened in the process of functional adjustment. In the second step, I analyzed the final design and found Sou Fujimoto's response to the preceding problem. He thought that in-between alcoves created from formal randomness, were not enough and thus introduced a new method, cutting alcoves. This means that formal randomness alone does not fully guarantee both the functional discoverability and the fulfillment of the basic functions. In the third step, I searched for the significance of this problem through a brief comparison with other similar projects.
