For the regeneration of osseous defect on the furcation area, autogeneous bone graft has been primarily used. But it has the limitation of donor site, additive surgical operation etc. Recently anorganic xenogenic bone graft materials of removing all organic components are commonly used for the regeneration of periodontal defects. This study was the comparison of the effect on the regeneration with two types xenografts($Bio-oss^{(R)}$ and Ca-P thin coated Bovine bone powder) on the furcation involvement in Beagle dogs. After surgically induced chronic periodontitis in bifurcation area of premolar, $Bio-oss^{(R)}$ and Ca-P BBP were grafted on the osseous defects. Tissue blocks including defects with soft tissues were harvested following a four-& eight-week healing interval and prepared for histologic analysis. The results of this study were as follows: 1. $Bio-oss^{(R)}$ group: there were significant differences among the $Bio-oss^{?}$ group at 4weeks and 8weeks, but the control group had various appearances : new bone formation, resorption of graft materials by multinuclear giant cells, connective tissue cells intervention in the bone graft sites etc. 2. Ca-P BBP group: lots of new bone formation were observed but the arrangement of periodontal ligament was not completed at 4weeks. New bone were replaced mature bone and the periodontal ligaments showed the functional arrangement at 8weeks. 3. By reason of undergrowing the epithelium within the osseous defects, new bone formation was not happened in the upper area of bifurcation in $Bio-oss^{(R)}$ group. 4. In Ca-P BBP group, epithelial undergrowth was not seen and generally showed much more new bone formation. 5. Ca-P BBP group showed the osteocyte-like cells at the inner portion of the graft materials 6. Both groups were similar to resorptive appearances of graft materials, but Ca-P BBP group had the better effects of osteoconduction.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) holds significant scientific and technological relevance as a key photocatalyst and resistive random-access memory, demonstrating unique physicochemical properties and serving as an n-type semiconductor. Understanding the density and arrangement of oxygen vacancies (VOs) is crucial for tailoring TiO2's properties to diverse technological needs, driving increased interest in exploring oxygen vacancy complexes and superstructures. In this mini review, we summarize the recent understandings of the fundamental properties of oxygen vacancies in bulk rutile (R-TiO2) and anatase (A-TiO2) based on DFT and beyond method. We specifically focus on the excess electrons and their spatial arrangement of disordered single VO in bulk R and A-TiO2, aligned with the experimental findings. We also highlight the theoretical works on investigating the geometries and stabilities of ordered VOs complexes in bulk TiO2. This comprehensive review provides insights into the fundamental properties of excess electrons in reduced TiO2, offering valuable perspectives for future research and technological advancements in TiO2-based devices.

The purpose of designing Haebaragi park, legally designated as children park, is to make a place for children including residents performing outdoor recreation, various social interactions, and cultural activities. Design concept for space plan have twofold; the one is a positive and creative playing space and facilities for children, escaped from a monotonous playground, and the other is a cultural and social space for neighboring communities. The site having the area of 1,316.7 square meters, located in Nowon-Dong, Buk-Gu, Daegu metropolitan City, is just like a vest pocket park. The adjacent area had been developed a slum area with mixed ad visually conflicting land use patterns and low income groups. The children and residents living in the area do not have any public space suitable for playing and/or rest. After analyzing such locational characteristic as accessibility, land use of the communities, and potentials for park development, and such design concept as arrangement of facilities, efficient use of site, and functional allocation of park space, We have mad a plan for composition of spaces for various activities, provision of facilities based on estimation of user-demand and activities, and planting. In the design process, we have tried to harmonize functional spaces with facilities, and to organize all the functions as a whole. To improve urbanity and aesthetic shape of park design, we have introduced a central plaza, design of a pave floor, a torrent, large trees for shade, colonnades and so on. From this design project, we can develop the site as a children park for increasing creativities and various playing opportunities, and as a resident space for rest, cultural activities. In the future, it is required that many attempt to design and develop urban small space as a park for children and residents.

Background: This study aimed to analyze the prehospital process and reperfusion therapy process of acute ischemic stroke in Busan metropolitan area and examine the impact of living arrangement on the early management and functional outcomes of acute ischemic stroke (AIS). Methods: The patients who diagnosed with AIS and received reperfusion therapy at the Busan Regional Cardiovascular Center between September 2020 and May 2023 were selected. We investigated the patients' hospital arrival time (onset to door time) and utilization of 119 emergency ambulance services. Additionally, various time matrices related to reperfusion therapy after hospital were examined, along with the functional outcome at the 90-day after treatment. Results: Among the 753 AIS patients who underwent reperfusion therapy, 166 individuals (22.1%) were living alone. AIS patients living alone experienced significant delays in symptom detection (p<0.05) and hospital arrival compared to AIS patients with cohabitants (370.1 minutes vs. 210.2 minutes, p<0.001). There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of 119 ambulance utilization and time metrics related with the reperfusion therapy. Independent predictors of prognosis in AIS patients were found to be age above 70, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score at admission, tissue plasminogen activator, living alone (odds ratio [OR], 1.785; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.155-2.760) and interhospital transfer (OR, 1.898; 95% CI, 1.152-3.127). Delay in identification of AIS was shown significant correlation (OR, 2.440; 95% CI, 1.070-5.561) at living alone patients. Conclusion: This study revealed that AIS patients living alone in the Busan metropolitan region, requiring endovascular treatment, face challenges in the pre-hospital phase, which significantly impact their prognosis.
The purpose of the study was to identify the level of housing choice behavior by using the factors of residential satisfaction level, mobility motivation, and housing needs of potential purchasers in Bukgu New Housing Area, Ulsan. The research results showed low degree of residential satisfaction in storage space and neighborhood. The mobility motivations were improvement of physical environment improvement, education environment, walking road, view and lighting. The housing needs for indoor spaces showed to want more functional arrangement than the room size. The housing needs for outdoor spaces showed to want neighborhood environment in connection with the education or hospital facilities, the welfare facilities for pre-kindergarten children and elders and the leisure facilities. And the housing needs for facilities were floor furnishing for health, crime prevention system for safety needs, housekeeping appliance against environmental pollution, additional function for energy saving. The housing needs for common spaces showed that the residents preferred playing facilities by age group, exercise facilities, the community hall and the rest room which can do games or meetings.
Dendrimers represent a new class of synthetic macromolecules characterized by a regularly branched treelike structure. Peculiar features of the dendritic geometry are the large number of end groups as well as the shape persistence in higher generations, approaching spherical geometry. And one of the most peculiar characteristics of dendritic macromolecules is their controlled molecular structure and orientation, which means that they have a practical application in achieving a highly organized molecular arrangement. We attempted to fabricate a G4-48PyA dendrimer LB films containing 48 pyridinealdoxime functional end group that could form a complex structure with metal ions. Also, we investigated the surface activity of dendrimer films at air-water interface. And we have studied the electrical properties of the ultra-thin dendrimer LB films. The electrical properties of the ultra-thin dendrimer LB films were investigated by studying the current-voltage characteristics of metal/dendrimer LB films/metal (MIM) structure. And rectifying behavior of the devices was occurred in applied field.

Buddhist Architecture should be set for worship and an ascetic life, which is its main function as it is a religious facility and its space and form can be considered as means to achieve efficiently a religious function. Every religion concludes its religious function through its ideas and form of faith based on scriptures and religious precepts. The thing should be paid attention to from this point of view is how Buddhist doctrines are reflected on the architecture and the background recognition about the fundamental doctrines and religious system should be preceded to clarify it. Existing researches have studied the characteristics of Buddhist temples on the point of functional view and architectural spacial view through phenomenal ways. Though fruitful results bore about the Korean space through that way, more internal viewpoint is required to clarify the fundamental regularities and spatial concepts indwelling in temple architecture. Considering what structural elements were required to compose one space in traditional Korean architecture is the fundamental subject and important. This thesis searches architectural characteristics through inquiring about the main building and annexes and understanding symbolic characteristics about the arrangement of the Buddhist statue and solemn things in the Buddhist temples of tangible cultural assets or above located in Seoul area.
The purpose of this study was to understand the present condition about the space planning of the nursing rooms at the child care center in U.S.A. The researchers investigated the physical conditions of the centers through sketching, measurement, taking pictures and observation. On the other hand, to understand the user's needs, the interview to the directors of the centers was performed. As a result, the followings were proposed. The grouping of children depending upon the age has to be more classified according to the development period. And the guideline for the space areas has to be improved to a larger standard than present regulation. And the most impressive characteristic of the center in U.S.A. is the functional space design. The space such as toilet, washing room, kitchenet are well organized into the nursing rooms for children. Various ideas for arranging above functions in the small nursing rooms have to be developed in Korea. And the dynamic space arrangement of nursing room is also impressive. The material of the floor has to be considered variously for the comfort of the children.
