쌍끌이 기선저인망의 유수저항 특성 및 모형 실험시의 축척비 영향 (Flow resistance of bottom pair trawl nets and scale effect in their model experiments)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the flow resistance of the bottom pair trawl nets. The bottom pair trawl nets being used in fishing vessel (100G/T, 550ps) was selected as a full-scale net, and 1/10, 1/25 and 1/50 of the model nets were made. Converted into the full-scale net by Tauti's modeling rule and Kim's modeling rule, when resistance coefficient k of each net was calculated by substituting into above equation for flow resistance R and wall area of nets S values of each net ${\upsilon}$. Because resistant coefficient k decreases exponentially according as flow velocity ${\upsilon}$ increases to make $k=c{\upsilon}^{-m}$, c and m values of each net were compared. As a result, as the model was smaller, c and m values was smaller in the two rule into standard of 1/10 model value, decrease degree of 1/25 model was almost same in the two rule, decrease degree of 1/50 model was very big in Tauti's modeling rule. Therefore, in the result of experiment, because average of c and m values for similarly 1/10 and 1/25 model were given $c=4.9(kgf{\cdot}s^2/m^4)$ and m=0.45, R (kgf) of bottom pair trawl net could show $R=4.9S{\upsilon}^{1.55}$ using these values. As in the order of cod-end, wing and bag part for 1/25 and 1/50 model net were removed in turn, measured flow resistance of each, converted into the full-scale, total resistance of the net and the resistance of each part net were calculated. The resistance ratio of each part for total net was not same in 1/25 and 1/50 model each other, but average of two nets was perfectly same area ratio of each part as the wing, bag and cod-end part was 43%, 45% and 12%. However, the resistance of each part divided area of the part, calculated the resistance of per unit area, wing and bag part were not big difference each other, while the resistance of cod-end part was very large.

  • PSALI is referred to the supplementary lighting for the interior lighting under the daily lighting situation, and pursuant to the pertinent regulations in energy savings design standard and others in recent architecture works, the importance thereof has been increasing gradually coupled with the energy performance index (EPI), energy savings plan and the like as well as expansion of submittal and implementation policies. However, this type of PSALI studies indeed have a number of limitations since it has surrounding environmental conditions in direction, season, region, climate, time, opening rate, window area ratio, actual index, reflection rate of finishing materials and others in the architecture work as well as frequent changes in interior lighting environment for variables in daily light volume flowing into the interior, and others. Therefore, this study has analyzed existing advance research cases to produce the actual-sized model and scaled-down model, and installed the artificial lighting of LED light source possible to reproduce with same capability on both models. As a result of comparison and analysis of the artificial lighting with the key light, it has certain level of error rate from the scaled down lighting device in certain rate and actual model butit was noticeably significant within specific scope.

  • It is necessary to evaluate HMI inaspects of human factors in the design stage of MMIS(man machine interface system) and feedback the result of evaluation because operators performance is mainly influenced by the HMI. Therefore, the MMIS design should be reflected the operators psychological, behavioral and physiological characteristics in the interaction with human machine interface(HMI) in order to improve the safety and availability of the MMIS of a nuclear power plant(NPP) by reduction of human error. The development of human factors experimental evaluation techniques and integrated test facility(ITF) for the human factors evaluation become an important research field to resolve hi,am factors issues on the design of an advanced control room(ACR). We developed am ITF, which is aimed to experiment with the design of the ACR and the human machine interaction as it relates to the control of NPP. This paper presents the development of an ITF that consists of three rooms such as main test room(MTR), supporting test room(STR) and experiment control room(ECR). And, the ITF has a various facilities such as a human machine simulator(HMS), experimental measurement systems and data analysis and experiment evaluation supporting system(DAEXESS). The HMS consists of full-scope simulation model of Korean standard NPP and advanced HMI based on visual display nits (VDUS) such as touch color CRT, large scale display panel(LSDP), flat panel display unit and so on.

저층 트롤어구의 유수저항 특성 및 모형 실험시의 축척비 영향 (Flow resistance of bottom trawl nets and scale effect in their model experiments)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the flow resistance of the bottom trawl net. The bottom trawl net being used in the training ship of Chonnam National University was selected as a full-scale net, and model nets such as 1/10, 1/25 and 1/50 of the actual net were made. Total resistance of the net part, the height of the net mouth and the flow resistance of components of the net such as wing, bag and cod-end part was measured, converted into full-scale and compared. Additionally, the model rule of Tauti (1934), which has been most frequently used in fishing net modeling experiments, was applied to interpret flow resistance and scale effect of model experiment was investigated. Presumed that the flow resistance R is $R=kS{\upsilon}^2$ against the flow velocity of each net ${\upsilon}$, resistance coefficient k was calculated by substituting R, ${\upsilon}$ and S of the net. From the result, it was found that k decreases exponentially when u increases which makes $k=c{\upsilon}^{-m}$. Whereas m of each net is ranged between 0.13-0.16 and there was not significant difference between nets. c does not show big difference in 1/10 and 1/25 model and the value itself was relatively bigger than in 1/50 model. The height of the net mouth of 1/25 and 1/50 model net h decreases exponentially according as ${\upsilon}$ increases to make $h=d{\upsilon}^{-n}$. Whereas d and n values were almost same in two nets. Additionally, when resistance of cod-end, wing and bag part in 1/25 and 1/50 model nets, both nets showed big resistance in bag part when flow is 1m/s as more than 60%. Wing and cod-end part showed almost same value or wing part had little bit larger value. On the other hand, when reviewing the reasons why both models showed difference in 1/50 model while c value against the resistance coefficient k did not show big difference in 1/10 and 1/25 model, it is inferred that the difference occurred not from material difference but from the difference in net size according to scale. It was judged that they are the scale effects concomitant to the model experiments.

  • Hanwoo (Korean cattle) is the native, taurine type of cattle breed of Korea and its history as a draft animal dates back to 5000 Years. In earlier times Hanwoo was used extensively for farming, transportation. Over the period of time, Hanwoo has changed to be meat type cattle. Full-scale production of Hanwoo as meat-type cattle has occurred since 1960s with the rapid growth of the Korean economy. Hanwoo is one of the most economically important species in Korea as it is a significant source of nutrition to the Korean people. Hanwoo beef is the most cherished food of Korea. One of the main goals of researchers is to increase the meat quality, quantity and taste of the beef. In this review we describe the origin, domestication of Hanwoo cattle and breeding program initiated from 1980's. Moreover the advent of technological advancement had provided us a platform to perform genome wide selection on economic traits and its implementation into traditional breeding programs.

블록식 보강토 옹벽에서의 시공단계별 보강재 타입에 따른 거동비교 (The Comparative Experiment of Geogrid Reinforcement Types with Construction Stage on Segmental Retaining Walls)

  • 본 논문에서는 실대형 실험을 통해 블록식 보강토옹벽에서 보강재의 타입에 따른 수평토압, 변위, 보강재의 변형률의 특성을 비교하였다. 본 연구를 통해 보강재의 타입에 따라 토압과 변위관계에서 서로 다른 거동특성을 보이고 있으며, 보강토체 내에 배치된 보강재가 연직토압 감소 및 변체변위 억제 효과 등 보강 성능이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 수평토압은 보강재의 특성과 변형에 따라 상단부와 하단부에서 주동토압이나 정지토압보다 크게 발생할 수 있으며, 수평토압과 벽체변위는 서로 상관성이 매우 높은 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 블록식 보강토 옹벽에서 보강재의 등고변형률선 분포는 중앙부분에서 가장 큰 변형이 발생하는 것을 확인하였다.

Experimental study on seismic behavior of two-storey modular structure

  • Due to the unique construction method of modular steel buildings (MSBs) with units prefabricated fully off the site and assembled quickly on the site, the inter-module connection for easy operation and overall performance of the system were key issues. However, it was a lack of relevant research on the system-level performance of MSBs. This study investigated the seismic performance of two-storey modular steel structure with a proposed vertical rotary inter-module connection. Three full-scale quasi-static tests, with and without corrugated steel plate and its combination, were carried out to evaluate and compare their seismic behaviour. The hysteretic performance, skeleton curves, ductile performance, stiffness degradation, energy dissipation capacity, and deformation pattern were clarified. The results showed that good ductility and plastic deformation ability of such modular steel structures. Two lateral-force resistance mechanisms with different layout combinations were also discussed in detail. The corrugated steel plate could significantly improve the lateral stiffness and bearing capacity of the modular steel structure. The cooperative working mechanism of modules and inter-module connections was further analyzed. When the lateral stiffness of upper and lower modular structures was close, limited bending moment transfer may be considered for the inter-module connection. While a large lateral stiffness difference existed initially between the upper and lower structures, an obvious gap occurred at the inter-module connection, and this gap may significantly influence the bending moments transferred by the inter-module connections. Meanwhile, several design recommendations of inter-module connections were also given for the application of MSBs.

계통 연계형 풍력 발전 시스템의 LVRT 제어 전략 (LVRT Control Strategy of Grid-connected Wind Power System)

  • 본 논문은 계통 전압 사고 상황에서 계통 연계형 풍력 발전 시스템이 만족시켜줘야 할 LVRT(Low Voltage Ride Through) 제어 전략을 제안한다. LVRT 규정은 계통 전압 사고 시 풍력 발전 시스템이 지켜야 할 부분들을 전압 감소율과 사고 시간에 대해 나타내고 있다. 특히 전압 감소율이 10% 이상일 경우에는 풍력 발전 시스템은 규정된 무효 전류를 전력 계통에 제공하여 계통 전압 확보에 이바지해야 한다. 본 논문에서의 LVRT 규정은 세계적으로 가장 엄격한 규정인, 독일 계통 연계 규정(German Grid Code)을 기준으로 하고 풀 스케일(Full-scale) 가변 속도 전력 변환 시스템을 고려하여 제어 전략을 수립한다. 본 LVRT 제어 전략은 계통 사고 시 LVRT 규정을 모두 만족시킴과 동시에 직류단 전압 제어의 추가적인 알고리즘으로 직류단 전압의 제어를 통하여 전체 풍력 발전 시스템의 전력 균형을 기할 수 있다. 3상 전압 지락 사고의 경우 계통으로의 전력 제어가 불가능하여 계통 측 컨버터가직류단 전압을 제어할 수 없으므로, 전력 제어의 기능을 발전기 측 인버터로 이행 시켜 상황에 따라 유연한 직류단 전압 제어가 가능함을 보였다. 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 LVRT 제어 전략의 타당성을 검증하였다.

호안조성용 거치식 강판셀공법의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Placed Steel-Plate Cell Method for Construction of Seawall)

  • 본 연구에서는 호안의 안벽 및 방파제의 조성에 있어 기존의 타공법에 비해 경제성, 공사기간 및 시공장비 측면에서 유리한 거치식 강판셀 공법의 설계 기법 및 구조적 건전성 확보를 위해 실시한 실험 연구 결과를 제시하였다. 강판셀 구조는 다수의 보강재와 셀-아크 연결부 등이 존재하는 얇은 쉘 구조로서 그 거동이 복잡할 뿐만 아니라 설계 기준에서 셀 및 아크 내부의 속채움 토압의 크기가 다소 모호하게 규정되어 있다. 이러한 문제의 해결을 위해 실규모의 원통형 단면벽 강판셀 구조$(D11.0^m{\times}H14.0^m{\times}12t)$를 설계 제작하여 해상에 거치하고 속채움을 한 후 현장 응력계측을 수행하였으며, 그 결과를 상세 구조해석 결과와 비교 분석함으로써 당 공법의 설계 기술을 구축하고자 하였다.

Racking shear resistance of steel frames with corner connected precast concrete infill panels

  • When precast concrete infill panels are connected to steel frames at discrete locations, interaction at the structural interface is neither complete nor absent. The contribution of precast concrete infill panels to the lateral stiffness and strength of steel frames can be significant depending on the quality, quantity and location of the discrete interface connections. This paper presents preliminary experimental and finite element results of an investigation into the composite behaviour of a square steel frame with a precast concrete infill panel subject to lateral loading. The panel is connected at the corners to the ends of the top and bottom beams. The Frame-to-Panel-Connection, FPC4 between steel beam and concrete panel consists of two parts. A T-section with five achor bars welded to the top of the flange is cast in at the panel corner at a forty five degree angle. The triangularly shaped web of the T-section is reinforced against local buckling with a stiffener plate. The second part consists of a triangular gusset plate which is welded to the beam flange. Two bolts acting in shear connect the gusset plate to the web of the T-section. This way the connection can act in tension or compression. Experimental pull-out tests on individual connections allowed their load deflection characteristics to be established. A full scale experiment was performed on a one-storey one-bay 3 by 3 m infilled frame structure which was horizontally loaded at the top. With the characteristics of the frame-to-panel connections obtained from the experiments on individual connections, finite element analyses were performed on the infilled frame structures taking geometric and material non-linear behaviour of the structural components into account. The finite element model yields reasonably accurate results. This allows the model to be used for further parametric studies.
