풀밴드 임팩트이온화모델을 이용한 GaAs 전자전송특성 분석 - 전계방향에 따른 분석 - (Anaysis of electron transport characteristics using full band impact ionization model on GaAs - field direction dependent analysis -)

  • 본 논문에서는 GaAs 풀밴드 E-k관계를 이용하여 전계방향에 따라 임팩트이온화가 전자전송에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. E-k관계를 구하기 위하여 페르미황금법칙과 local form factor를 이용하는 의사포텐셜방법을 사용하였으며 임팩트이온화율을 구하기 위하여 브릴로우인영역을 사면체로 분할하여 각 사면체마다 적분하는 사면체방법을 이용하였다. 임팩트이온화의 이방성분석을 위하여 Monte Carlo시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 특히 임팩트이온화의 과도상태분석을 수행한 결과, 이방성은 과도상태에서만 발생하는 것으로 나타났으며 정상상태에서는 등방성 특성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제시한 GaAs 임팩트이온화의 이방성특성은 GaAs 소자의 과도응답특성분석에 사용될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

A New Three-Phase Current Modulation Method to Suppress the Commutation Torque Ripple of Brushless DC Motor

  • The brushless DC motor's commutation torque ripple is caused by inconsistency in the rate of phase current change. Thus, a method that considers armature resistance is proposed to modulate phase current. The three-phase control strategy, which involves the "open-phase conduction, off-phase pulse width modulation, and maintained non-commutation phase" technique, is applied during commutation at full-speed segments of the motor. Changes in each phase current are analyzed theoretically by establishing mathematical model based on phase current to determine the relative difference among shutdown phase, duty, and motor operating parameters. The turn-on and turn-off phase current change rates are made to be consistent to ensure less non-commutation phase current ripple, then the torque ripple is inhibited. The simulation results show that the phase commutation current and torque ripple coefficient of the proposed method are reduced from 56.9% and 55.5% to 6.8% and 6.1%, respectively. In the experiment system, the pulsation coefficient of the motor phase current is reduced from 40.0% to 16.7% at low speed and 50.0% to 18.8% at high speed. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed control method significantly inhibits commutation current and torque in the full section.

실제 규모의 구획화재에서 총괄당량비와 화재특성의 상관관계에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Relationship Between Global Equivalence Ratio and Fire Characteristics in Full-Scale Compartment Fires)

  • An experimental study was conducted to investigate the relationship between global equivalence ratio(GER) and fire characteristics in an ISO 9705 room. Heptane fuel was burned with different fuel flow rates and doorway widths in order to force the room to be placed in different GER conditions. It was observed that after the onset of under-ventilated fire conditions, temperature and unburned fuel components such as CO and soot increased with increasing heat release rate (HRR), regardless of the doorway width. From the analysis of local mixture fraction, it was reconfirmed that the inclusion of soot production in the product composition was very important to predict accurately the chemical conditions inside the compartment, particularly for the under-ventilated fire conditions. In addition, the local equivalence ratio (LER) was directly proportional to the GER with a unit gradient regardless of doorway width when the soot production was included in the chemical products. This finding provided an important potential that the GER could be used to correlate the local thermal and chemical environment measured at the upper layer of a full-scale enclosure when soot was included.

Clinical Application of Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) on Delayed Wound Healing of a Dog with Burns

  • A 9-year-old intact female Poodle (weighing 3.6 kg) was presented for the treatment of a partial and full thickness burn that covering 45% of body including bilateral thigh and sacrolumbar region. Autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) stimulates angiogenesis, promoting vascular in-growth and fibroblast proliferation. On the unrecovered right thigh of the dog, autologous PRP was injected into the lesion after application of micro-needles. For macroscopic evaluation digital, photographs were taken from wounds at days 0, 3, 5, 13, 21, and 28. On the $3^{rd}$ day after PRP application, epithelialization was accelerated. Application of autologous PRP accelerated wound-healing rate and healing time in full thickness burns as well as secondary complications originating from unrecovered wounds. The delayed lesion was completely healed on the $28^{th}$ day by autologous PRP treatment. In human, PRP was increasingly used in the treatment of a variety of soft tissue in the management of chronic non-healing wounds. This study has shown that PRP treatment can be a valuable and effective aid on intractable wound healing in the dog with burns.

생물학적 영양소 제거공정의 적정 설계 및 운전인자 도출을 위한 간단한 수학적 접근법 (Simplified Mathematical Approach for Optimum Design and Operation Parameters of the Full-Scale BNR Processes)

  • The conventional activated sludge processes were operated as a combined organic substrate removal and nitrification. So, it was necessary to provide with oxygen for both carbon and ammonia removal. But, in the BNR processes, nitrification is separated from carbon removal that causes fast ammonia oxidation and reduced oxygen demands. And most of the substrate is utilized by denitrification organisms and phosphorus accumulating organisms. with these appearances, mathematical model for BNR processes different from IWA ASM can be simplified and applied. In this study, it was performed that the existing equations as McKinney model, nitrification model published by U.S. EPA and oxygen demands from stoichiometry and the relationship between NUR and OUR were applied to full-scale BNR processes and the results were compared with the measured. and it is possible to make out the optimum design parameter from those equations.

빠른 레일리 페이딩채널에서 MTCM 부호와 STBC를 결합한 시스템의 성능평가 (Performance of the Concatenated System of MTCM Codes with STBC on Fast Rayleigh Fading Channels)

  • STBC는 부호이득을 얻을 수 없지만, 비교적 적은 부호기와 복호기의 복잡도를 가지고 완전한 다이버시티 이득을 얻을 수 있다. 따라서 STBC는 부호이득이 없기 때문에 부호이득을 얻을 수 있는 외부 부호와 결합되어 사용하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 완전한 다이버시티 이득과 함께 상당한 부호이득을 얻기 위하여, MTCM부호와 STBC를 결합한 시스템을 고려하였다. 공정한 성능 비교를 위하여 동일한 전송 전력, 동일한 대역폭 효율 그리고 동일한 상태 수를 전제하고, 고려한 시스템과 기존에 알려진 STTC부호와 FER 성능 비교를 실시하였다. 모의실험 결과, MTCM부호와 STBC를 결합한 시스템의 성능은 빠른 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 2개의 송신기 안테나와 1개의 수신기 안테나를 사용하는 STTC부호 보다 우수한 성능을 보여주었다.

MAGNETIC HELICITY INJECTION DURING THE FORMATION OF AN INTERMEDIATE FILAMENT

  • A necessary condition for the formation of a filament is magnetic helicity. In the present paper we seek the origin of magnetic helicity of intermediate filaments. We observed the formation of a sinistral filament at the boundary of a decaying active region using full-disk $H_{\alpha}$ images obtained from Bi Bear Solar Observatory. We have measured the rate of helicity injection during the formation of the filament using full-disk 96 minute-cadence magnetograms taken by SOHO MDI. As a result we found that 1) no significant helicity was injected around the region (polarity inversion line; PIL) of filament formation and 2) negative helicity was injected in the decaying active region. The negative sign of the injected helicity was opposite to that of the filament helicity. On the other hand, at earlier times when the associated active region emerged and grew, positive helicity was intensively injected. Our results suggest that the magnetic helicity of the intermediate filament may have originated from the helicity accumulated during the period of the growth of its associated active region.

적응된 전력 할당 기법을 이용한 준직교코드의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Quasi-orthogonal STC Using Adaptive Power Allocation Scheme)

  • 송신 안테나의 개수가 2개보다 많아질 경우, 복소 직교 코드를 이용해 최대 다이버시티와 최대 전송률을 동시에 제공할 수 없다. 이들을 동시에 제공하기 위해 간단한 간섭 제거 기법과 송신 전력 할당 기법이 제안되었다. 하지만 전자의 경우 잡음을 증가시키는 단점을 가지고 있고, 후자의 경우 잡음 없이 최대 다이버시티와 최대 전송률을 제공하지만, 채널 간 페이딩 레벨의 차이가 심한 환경에서 인접 채널에 의한 간섭이 증가하는 단점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 각 채널 간 페이딩 레벨의 차이가 심한 채널 환경에서 채널의 상태정보를 이용하여, 높은 전력으로 전송해 준 신호들의 신뢰도를 높이고, 이들을 이용하여 낮은 전력으로 전송된 신호들을 복호해 냄으로써 신호 복호과정에서 발생하는 추정오차를 줄이는 기법을 제안하고, 송신 다이버시티 시스템의 성능 향상을 꾀한다.

중고령 종합병원 식당종사자의 근골격계 부담 작업에 대한 위험성 평가 (Risk Assessment in the Loaded Works of Muscular Skeletal Disorder for Mid-old Aged General Hospital Dining Workers)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors of the musculoskeletal workload of mid-old-age food preparation workers by identifying the differences in the complaints of subjective symptoms between mid-old-age housewives and mid-old-age food preparation workers. This study was carried out on a total of 83 subjects from April 2009 through July 2009: 43 food preparation workers at the catering department of general hospital A, with a high rate of mid-old-age food preparation staff, and 40 full-time housewives (40~59 years old). The analysis of the relationship between the rates of the subjective symptoms of the two groups showed that the mid-old-age food preparation workers had a 7.8-fold higher risk of developing musculoskeletal diseases than the full-time housewives. The musculoskeletal workload of the mid-old-age food preparation workers included repetitive motions, uncomfortable postures, and heavy lifting. It is hoped that this study will help provide mid-old-age people with opportunities for appropriate economic activity and labor and will help improve their work postures and methods as well as their environmental-risk factors.

영상 통신을 위한 웨이블릿 변환 부호화 (Wavelet Transform Coding for Image Communication)

  • 본 논문은 동영상을 효과적으로 부호화하기 위한 새로운 방법에 관하여 연구한 것이다. 움직임 정보를 이용하여 기준 프레임 영상과 상관관계가 적은 프레임 영상에서는 화질을 보장하고, 기준 프레임 영상과 상관관계가 많은 프레임 영상에서는 전체 동영상의 비트율을 보장하는 픽쳐 셋 필터를 제안하였다. 실험 결과, 제안한 동영상 부호화 방법은 기존의 전영역 탐색 블럭 정합 알고리즘에 비하여, 화질은 8.99dB이 향상되고, 압축률은 14.85배가 증가되었으며, 부호화시간은 74.9%가 단축되었다. 그리고, 차영상 알고리즘에 비하여, 화질은 24.87dB이 떨어졌으나, 압축률은 41.94배가 증가하였으며, 부호화시간은 0.9%가 단축됨으로써 좋은 성능을 나타냄을 확인하였다.
