  • This paper is proposed an 8$\times$8 bit parallel multiplier for low power consumption. The 8$\times$8 bit parallel multiplier is used for the comparison between the proposed Low-Swing CVSL full adder with conventional CVSL full adder. Comparing tile previous works, this circuit is reduced the power consumption rate of 8.2% and the power-delay-product of 11.1%. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed circuits are verified through the HSPICE under Hynix 0.35$\{\mu}m$ standard CMOS process.

  • Impact ionization model in GaAs has been presented by modified keldysh formula with two sets of power exponent of 7.8 and 5.6 in study. Impact ionization rate is derived from fermil's golden rule and ful lenergy band stucture based on empirical pseudopotential method. Impact ionization rates show anisotropic property in low energy region (<3eV), but isotropic in high energy region (3>eV). Full band monte calo simulator is coded for investigating the validity of the GaAs impact ionization model, and validity is checked by comparing impact ionization coefficients with experimental values and ones in anisotropic model. Valley transitions to energy alteration are explained by investigating electron motion in brillouin zone for full band model to electric field variation.

  • This study was conducted to estimate the full bloom stage of the Fugi apple at e in different elevations at Chungju area. The lapse rate of air temperature related to the elevation in Chungiu area was calculated and applicated to estimate the full bloom stage of the Fugi apple cultivar at different elevations. The data far nine levels of elevations at 150, 250, 359, 555, 710 m with the direction of S-W in the Mt. Gyemyong and at 165, 255, 415, 545 m with the direction of N-W in the Mt. Nam were analyzed. The lapse rate range were 0.89$^{\circ}C$ per 100 m elevation in the Mt. Gyemyong and 0.74$^{\circ}C$ in the Mt. Nam respectively. The difference of full bloom stage different elevations was 4 to 5 days per 100 m and its range was from April 29th at 100 m to May 10th at 400 m.

  • The present study investigated the perceptual span during reading Korean, using the moving-window display change technique introduced by McConkie and Rayner(1975). Eight different window sizes were used in Experiment 1. They were 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 characters in size and the full line. Reading rate, number of fixation, saccadic distance, fixation duration were compared between each window-size condition and the full line condition. The reading rate was no higher in the full line condition than in the 15 character condition but was higher than in the other conditions. The number of fixations was no larger in the full line condition than in the 15 character condition, had a tendency to be larger than in the 13 characters condition, and was more than in the other conditions. The result pattern of the saccadic distance based on character was the same as that of the reading rate, and the saccadic distance based on the pixel was the same as that of the number of fixation. Similarly, for fixation duration, there was no differences between whole line condition and 15, 13, and 11 characters condition. The fixation duration had a tendency to be shorter in the 9 characters, and was shorter in the 7, 5, and 3 characters conditions than whole line condition. In Experiment 2, based on asymmetry of perceptual span, the 6 different window sizes(0, 1, 2, 3, 4 characters in size and the full line) were used. There was a difference only between the 0 condition and the other conditions in the reading rate, number of fixations, fixation duration. Considering the pattern of eye-movement measures above, the perceptual span of Korean readers extends about 6-7 characters to the right of fixation and 1 character to the left of fixation.

  • Background This study evaluated the Blossom system, an innovative self-filling, rate-controlled, pressure-responsive saline tissue expander (TE) system. We investigated the feasibility of utilizing this technology to facilitate implant-based and combined flap with implant-based breast reconstruction in comparison to conventional tissue expansion. Methods In this prospective, single-center, single-surgeon pilot study, participants underwent either implant-based breast reconstruction or a combination of autologous flap and implantbased breast reconstruction. Outcome measures included time to full expansion, complications, total expansion volume, and pain scores. Results Fourteen patients (TEs; n=22), were included in this study. The mean time to full expansion was 13.4 days (standard error of the mean [SEM], 1.3 days) in the combination group and 11.7 days (SEM, 1.4 days) in the implant group (P=0.78). The overall major complication rate was 4.5% (n=1). No statistically significant differences were found in the complication rate between the combination group and the implant group. The maximum patient-reported pain scores during the expansion process were low, but were significantly higher in the combination group (mean, 2.00±0.09) than in the implant group (mean, 0.29±0.25; P=0.005). Conclusions The reported average duration for conventional subcutaneous TE expansion is 79.4 days, but this pilot study using the Blossom system achieved an average expansion duration of less than 14 days in both groups. The Blossom system may accommodate single-stage breast reconstruction. The overall complication rate of this study was 4.5%, which is promising compared to the reported complication rates of two-stage breast reconstruction with TEs (20%-45%).

  • The combustion performance tests of a 30 tonf-class full-scale combustion chamber performed with kerosene as a coolant were described. The combustion chamber has chamber pressure of 53bara and propellant flow mass rate of 90kg/s. Since it was first firing test for 30tonf-class combustion chamber using kerosene cooling, kerosene coolant mass flow rate of 32kg/s which correspond to 120% of design mass flow rate were performed. Then, the firing test with kerosene mass flow rate of 25kg/s were successfully performed. The test results are described and the results showed that the kerosene cooling performance of this combustion chamber is sufficient and the firing test with regenerative cooling is feasible.

  • In this paper, a secure transmission scheme based on the artificial noise is proposed for D2D communications underlaying the full-duplex cellular network, and a secure power allocation scheme to maximize the overall secrecy rate of both the cellular user and D2D transmitter node is presented. Firstly, the full-duplex base station transmits the artificial noise to guarantee the secure communications when it receives signals of cellular uplinks. Under this secure framework, it is found that improving the transmission power of the cellular user or the D2D transmitter node will degrade the secrecy rate of the other, although will improve itself secrecy rate obviously. Hence, a secure power allocation scheme to maximize the overall secrecy rate is presented subject to the security requirement of the cellular user. However, the original power optimization problem is non-convex. To efficiently solve it, we recast the original problem into a convex program problem by utilizing the proper relaxation and the successive convex approximation algorithm. Simulation results evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

  • Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network that gathers information from remote area with autonomously configured routing path. We propose a fusion based routing for a 'convergecast' in which all sensors periodically forward collected data to a base station. Previous researches dealt with only full-fusion or no-fusion case. Our Fusion rate based Spanning Tree (FST) can provide effective routing topology in terms of total cost according to all ranges of fusion rate f ($0{\leq}f{\leq}1$). FST is optimum for convergecast in case of no-fusion (f = 0) and full-fusion (f = 1) and outperforms the Shortest Path spanning Tree (SPT) or Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) for any range of f (0 < f < 1). Simulation of 100-node WSN shows that the total length of FST is shorter than MST and SPT nearby 31% and 8% respectively in terms of topology lengths for all range of f. As a result, we confirmed that FST is a very useful WSN topology.
