This study examined the relationship between prosocial motivation and acquiescent, defensive, and relational silence behaviors, and identified the mediating effect of emotional job burnout. We also examined whether these relationships differed depending on whether the organization is currently working virtually or not. To this end, we collected 359 samples from Korean employees working in general office jobs below managerial positions using online survey methods. The data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and PROCESS Macro, and the results showed that the relationship between prosocial motivation and acquiescent, defensive, and relational silence behaviors was mediated by emotional job burnout, with a partial mediation effect for acquiescent silence and a full mediation effect for defensive and relational silence behaviors. Furthermore, these relationships were found to be the same regardless of whether employees worked virtually or not. Finally, we discuss the implications of our findings, limitations of this study, and suggestions for future research.

The purpose of this study is to investigate mediated effect of spirituality on the relationship between perceived burdensomeness and death anxiety among the elderly. According to the result of this study, it was learned that perceived burdensomeness of aged people has significant correlations with a path of perceived burdensomeness to death anxiety, a path of spirituality to death anxiety and a path of perceived burdensomeness to spirituality. In short, higher perceived burdensomeness results in higher death anxiety, and higher spirituality lowers the death anxiety. This refers that perceived burdensomeness is predictor of death anxiety. In addition, it also indicates that mediated effect of spirituality has significant correlations with both full/partial mediator models - partial mediator model supposes both direct and indirect paths that differ from the way of perceived burdensomeness influences on death anxiety, while full mediator model supposes only indirect path. The result of this study suggests practical proposal to promote the quality of living of the elderly by reducing perceived burdensomeness that stimulates death anxiety and giving opportunity for experiencing spirituality to cope with death anxiety.

This study aims to discuss how job stress of private security guards would influence organizational commitment and turnover intention, and it basically looks into mediating effects of job burnout to understand the former's effects on the latter. In order to conduct the analysis, the study selected private security guards working for security agencies located in Seoul as a research subject, and carried out a survey targeting 700 of those security guards who had been gathered by a random cluster sampling method. The survey was conducted for about four months from May of 2014 to September of the same year and with 24 samples that had not been returned or that had been observed to have some outliers excluded, a total of 676 samples were applied as final data. The study used SPSSWIN 18.0 Statistical Package for analyzing the data, and hypotheses were confirmed via a Frequency Analysis, Factor analysis, Cronbach's Alpha, Person's Correlation Analysis, regression analysis and a path analysis. Findings of the analysis reported that emotional exhaustion has partially mediating effects on relations among role conflict, role overload and organizational commitment and that role ambiguity is not significantly connected. In addition, as for a relation of role conflict and turnover intention, emotional exhaustion was turned out to have a full mediating effect on the relation. The study did not notice any significant connection between emotional exhaustion and role ambiguity. Add to that, in terms of a relation between role overload and turnover intention, emotional exhaustion appeared to have a partial mediating effect on the relation which helped a relevant hypothesis to be partly adopted. Regarding a relation of job stress with organizational commitment, according to results of a path analysis on dehumanization, dehumanization does not significantly affect a relation between role ambiguity and organizational commitment and as for role conflict and role overload, the study confirmed that they have a partially mediating effect on this relation of dehumanization with organizational commitment. The study learned then that dehumanization does not have a significant influence on a relation between role ambiguity and turnover intention. However, the study figured out that when it comes to a relation of role conflict and role overload, dehumanization has a partially mediating effect on the relation and as a consequence, a relevant hypothesis was adopted in part.

The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of family stress on family adaptation and investigate the mediating effect of family strength on the association between family stress and family adaptation of disabled family. As a result, family stress bas also been from multiple regression analysis revealed that family stress has a significant effect on family adaptation through family strength. Family strength is found to have a full mediation effect. In summary, the findings suggest that disabled family with higher levels of family stress are more likely to have lower family strength and lower family strength decreases the probability of conducting family adaptation. Based on these results, the researchers suggest intervention strategies that could prevent family stress, family strength and family adaptation.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among caregiving stress, depression, and partner violence by gender. Data were gathered though questionnaires surveying 223 cases living in the Seoul and Kyeonggi, Pusan areas. In analyzing precess, the researchers used t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression. Additionally, bootstrapping was used to verify the significant mediating effect of depression. The findings are follows: First, approximately 37.3 percent of adult children caregivers reported having experienced partner violence in the past year. And the depression mean score among adult children caregivers was 1.00, higher compared to 0.73 of general population. Female caregiving burden and depression level was higher than those of male. Second, the results from regression analysis revealed that caregiving stress influenced to partner violence positively. Depression has the full mediating effect between caregiving stress and partner violence. The results suggest a necessity of intervention to reduce caregiving stress, depression and prevent partner violence in the dementia caregiver's family. The implications for social work practice were also discussed.

Most of the existing studies on the volume and valence of the eWOM (electronic word of mouth) about movies and box-office revenues were conducted using online actual data (secondary data) at Yahoo Movies, IMDB.com, Naver Movies, etc. However, it is difficult to grasp psychological variables from online actual data. Therefore, existing studies using online actual data could not identify the causal relationship among volume, valence and psychological variables. This study fills this gap in the literature. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects (i.e. mediating effect) of the volume and valence of online reviews about movies on purchase intention through review credibility as a mediator. We conducted a survey on the South Korean consumers and a structural equation modeling. The outcomes show that the total effects of both volume and valence are significant. In addition, volume has an indirect effect only (i.e. full mediating effect) on purchase intention through review credibility, but valence has both direct and indirect effects (i.e. partial mediating effect) on purchase intention through review credibility. The theoretical and practical implications for these results are presented.

The purpose of this study is to provide a rational management strategy to improve the management performance of companies through intellectual property activities. Through this study, we aim to explore countermeasures to strengthen competitiveness in a changing global environment. A survey of 200 companies was conducted from September 1 to October 30, 2023. Statistical analysis was conducted using frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and difference analysis. The conclusions are as follows. First, the impact of intellectual property activities on management performance was found to be creation and utilization. Second, the impact of management strategies on management performance was found to be differentiation strategy, cost advantage strategy, and concentration strategy. Third, cost advantage strategy has a partial mediation effect on the relationship between creation activities and managerial performance of intellectual property activities. Fourth, the differentiation strategy has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between the creation of intellectual property activities and managerial performance. In addition, differentiation strategy has a full mediating effect on the relationship between the utilization of intellectual property activities and performance. Fifth, concentration strategy has a partial mediating effect on the relationship between intellectual property activity utilization and management performance. Sixth, there is a difference between creation activities, protection activities, utilization activities, cost advantage strategy, differentiation strategy, financial performance, and non-financial performance based on venture certification status. As the importance of intellectual property is increasing in the era of technological hegemony, IoT companies will need to improve their management performance through venture certification and strategies utilizing intellectual property in order to secure future competitiveness. Based on this study, we hope that IoT companies will maximize their performance by implementing efficient strategies that consider IP activities.

In recent years, paradigm of alcoholism has been taken to recover from abstinence. This study intends to investigate the main and mediating effects of abstinence efficacy on recovery of alcoholics considering the relationship with resilience. The survey was conducted upon 205 alcoholics. Collected data were analyzed by SEM (structural equation modeling) method using AMOS 7.0. The summary of the result is as follows. First, the model fit of partial mediation model which is including direct path of abstinence efficacy to recovery is better than full mediation model. Second, direct effects of abstinence efficacy and resilience on recovery are statistically significant. In conclusion, we could confirm the necessity of the program about resilience with program for enhancing abstinence efficacy to alcoholics.

In this study, 8th Korea Welfare Panel data surveys utilizing 65 years age or older, problem drinking analyzed the impact on suicidal thoughts as a medium for depression and self-esteem. In the main analysis, First, Problem drinking appears to influence the level of statistically significant positive (+) of suicidal thoughts. Second, Depression was found to mediate the relationship between the full level of problem drinking and suicidal thoughts. Third, Problem drinking was found not appear to be significant influence on self-esteem is not the mediating effect of self-esteem. However, the higher level of problem drinking, the lower level of self-esteem, through the sign of regression coefficient is negative (-) potential of the relationship was confirmed. These results suggest that more systematic research is necessary for the elderly suicide with preparing for the elderly of problem drinking.

This study examined the mediating effects of the stress coping behavior and social competence of children from multicultural families to determine the influential relationships between their stress and school adjustment. The analysis results show that stress had overall negative effects on the school adjustment of children from multicultural families and also on their stress coping behavior and social competence. For the indirect effects, both their stress coping behavior and social competence had positive indirect effects on their school adjustment. Stress did not have significant direct effects on their school adjustment. These findings suggest that stress coping behavior and social competence have full mediating effects between their stress and school adjustment. These findings highlight the need for directions of school education and various program interventions to improve the stress coping and social adjustment competence of children from multicultural families, offering practical implications to enhance their school adjustment.
