  • Most of the recently developed robots are human friendly robots which imitate an animal or human such as entertainment robot, biomimetic robot and humanoid robot. Interest in these robots is increased because the social trend is focused on health, welfare, and graying. By these social backgrounds, robots become more human friendly and suitable or home or personal environment. The more biomimetic robots resemble living creature, the more human feels familiarity. Human feels close friendship not only when feeding a pet, but also when watching a pet having the food. Most of entertainment robots and pet robots use internal-type batteries and have a self-recharging function. Entertainment robots and pet robots with internal-type batteries are not able to operate during charging the battery. So far there have been a few robots that do not depend on an internal battery. However, they need a bulky energy conversion unit and a slug or foods as an energy source, which is not suitable for home or personal application. In this paper, we introduce a new biomimetic entertainment robot with autonomous eating functionality, called EPRO-1(Eating Pet RObot version 1). The EPRO-1 is able to eat a food (a small battery), by itself and evacuate. We describe the design concept of the autonomous eating mechanism of the EPRO-1, characteristics of sub-parts of the manufactured mechanism and its control system.

  • The center of networking is moving toward mobile from PC based computing environment. The number of smartphone users are increasing rapidly today. One of the most popular smart phone applications is mobile SNS such as Kakao Story, Facebook, Twitter, Mobile Cyworld, etc. Mobile SNS means social network services based on mobile communication technology. This research focused on mobile SNS usage of married women who have not enough time for face-to-face communication with their friends to enhance their friendship. Married women in their 30s and 40s have lots of things to do like housework and caring their children. Mobile SNS would help their communication in aspect such of free of space and time. Through Mobile SNS married women can reinforce their personal relationship and self-esteem. Social Information Processing Theory (SIP) is an interpersonal communication theory developed by Walther(1992). Once established, online personal relationships may demonstrate the same relational dimensions and qualities as face-to-face relationships. The theory explains how people get to know one another online, without nonverbal cues, and how they develop and manage relationships in the computer-mediated environment. The result of empirical analysis indicates that marred women's Mobile SNS activities reinforce their personal relationship and self-esteem.

To describe characteristics of the respondents, frequency distributions were used. In addition, t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Duncan's multiple range tests were conducted. For 'how many times do you drink a month?', 70.4% of the respondents answered they drank '1~5 times a month'. Additionally, for 'how much alcohol do you drink?', 54.1% of the respondents answered they drank 'appropriately'. • Notwithstanding Korea and P. R.China are located in the neighborhood each other geographically, the break of diplomatic relations of them continued a long term, and the difference of ideology and social structure of two countries was acting as a barrier to understand each other in many fields. Two countries established formal diplomatic relation in 1992, and then the interchange and mutual cooperation between both countries are being performed rapidly, but the field of fisheries education and research system is continuing in the early stage yet. It can be easily expected that the interchange and mutual cooperation in the field of fisheries through the ocean contribute not only to the international friendship, but to the rational management of fisheries resources. In accordence with the necessity mentioned above, the author considered the general situation of fisheries education and research system in P. R. China. P. R. China runs two kinds of fisheries education system which are regular and irregular system. The regular education system is the principal means of cultivating fisheries scientists and technicians. And there are three grade levels in regular education : the tasks of which are undertaken by the fisheries universities, fisheries colleges and fisheries high schools. Adult education system in fisheries are of the following types : fishery cadet training courses, evening schools, correspondence courses and broadcasting or TV programs. The fisheries research in P. R. China is undertaken by the research institutes under the Bureau of Aquatic Products, and the basic research of oceanography is undertaken by the oceanographic institutes under the Chinese Academy of Science.

  • The experiment on thermal characteristics of on-dol systems were carried out to apply to New Han-ok's heating system. Change of surface temperature varied with heating times, distribution of surface temperature, radiation property were surveid on four on-dol system in laboratory conditions. Followings are results. 1) "Hwang-to unit" was most favorable condition of the distribution of floor surface temperature. And the results from reaching time to thermal comfort temperature of on-dol system showed that "Hwang-to unit" was the most favorable to continuance of floor temperature. 2) There were a little difference in surface floor radiations of $30^{\circ}C$ for three wet on dol-systems. 3) It was suggested that "Hwang-to unit" is the most appropriate to floor heating system of new han-ok considering eco-friendship and continuance of floor temperature in intermittent heating condition.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the ethical climate affects the job satisfaction of the clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 207 dental hygienists. The data were analyzed by t-test or one-way ANOVA, multiple regression analysis, and Pearson's correlation analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0 program. Results: The factors affecting the job satisfaction of the general and ethical climate were the work experiences, the completion of vocational ethics education, the self interest type, the friendship type, the rule and the procedure type. When working experience and vocational ethics education are completed, self interest type and friend type have improved job satisfaction as the score increases, while job satisfaction is lowered as the rule and procedure type are increased. Conclusions: Since healthy ethical climate correlates with job satisfaction, it is necessary to establish an ethical climate in order to improve the job satisfaction of clinical dental hygienists. Efficient and stable management of ethical climate within dental clinics can be achieved when mutual interests are emphasized and respected rather than obedience is empathized to hospital regulations, procedures and policies.
