Direct Absorption Receiver and Thermal Storage System is a complex problem. This paper describes only characteristic of fluid flow on the receiver. The fluid thicknesses of Molten Salts (Melting Point : $397^{\circ}C$) flowing on the receiver of modified protopype ($10m{\times}10m$) were calculated theorectically, changing the receiver slope from 60 degree to 85 degree (5 steps). The receiver temperatures were $430^{\circ}C$ at the top part and $950^{\circ}C$ at the low part. The flow thickness of the Molten Salts at the top part of the receiver are around 1.9mm in the case of maximum insolution ($50{\times}10^6$juoule/sec; 58.898kg/sec of flow rate) and 2.0mm at the low part. In the case of 3/10 of maximum insolation (flow rate = 17.669kg/sec) the flow thickness at the top part are around 0.9mm and 0.4mm at the low part, and in the case of 1/10 of maximum insolation (flow rate = 5.889 kg/see) the flow thickness at the top part are around 0.6mm and 0.3mm at the low part. From experimental measurements of a normal fresh water thickness flowing on the model plate ($12.7cm{\times}111.76cm$), around 0.8mm at the top part of the plate and around 0.7mm at the low part were obtained in the case of maximum insolation (flow rate = 0.12496 kg/see). In the case of 3/10 (flow rate = 0.03748 kg/see) and 1/10 (flow rate = 0.012496 kg/see) of maximum insolation, around 0.5mm and 0.4mm at the top part, and around 0.3mm and 0.2mm at the low part were obtained respectively. The reason why the thickness of the Molten Salts increase at the low part of the receiver only in case of maximum insolation is that decreasing rate of the viscosity of the Molten Salts is larger than decreasing rate of the density of the Molten Salts during temperature increase from the top to the low receiver plate and decrease of the fluid velocity in accordance with continuity principle. In all cases without the above maximum insolation, the thickness of the Molten Salts and the fresh water decreased at the low part of the plate because of gravity force effects rather than friction effects and of continuity principle. All simillar flow patterns were obtained through all cases of the insolation making an exception of only maximum insolation.

This study was to identify the nursing intervention method in finding out the incidence, risk factor, prevention and treatment of bed sore cilents who received regional home care nursing services. The eleven home care nurse practitioners took the survey on 97 patients who received home care nursing service from Seoul City Nurses Association for one month from September 26 to October 26 1996. A modified version of Braden's bed sore assessment tool for bed sore risks and a tool for assessment of bed sore stage and measurement bed sore sizes by Bergstrom, Braden, Laguzza and Holman(1987) were as research tools for this study and a questionnare with 40 questions and 12 items on nursing activities was used to find out the prevention and treatment of bed sores. Also, two open ended questions were used on current approaches and efforts of the treatment being applied to clients. The finding of the study were summarized as following : 1. The rate of bed sore occurrence was 47.4% 2. The areas of bed sore occurrence were hip(28.9%), sacrum(18.6%), great trochanter(14.4%) and the average number of sore spots were 2.26 3. Two groups-one with bed sores and the other without-were studied to determine prediction factors for bed sore risks. Sensory function, humidity, level of activity, mobility, nutrition, skin friction and chapping and body temperature turned out to be statistically significant factors for bed sores. Also the age of clients turned out to be a individual characteristic variable significantly affecting the rate of bed sore occurrences. 4. The education for clients and family on systematic skin assessment and bed sores and practice of active/passive R.O.M. are mainly used as nursing activities for bed sore care. 5. The treatment method varied by stages of bed sores. Sometimes folk remedies like applying the powders of dried elm tree roots to sores were used. Good nutrition, frequent position change and skin care turned to be the most effective means to fast recovery of sores.

A passive type of fence security system was developed, which was based on electric charge detection technique. The implemented fence security system was installed at outskirts of greenhouse laboratory in the University of Seoul. The purpose of this research is to minimize false alarms by analyzing environmental noise. The existing system determines the intrusion alarm by analyzing the power of amplified signal, but the alarm was seriously affected by natural strong wind and heavy rainfall. The SAU(Signal Analysis Unit) sends input signals to remote server which displays intrusion alarm and stores all the information in database. The environmental noise such as temperature, humidity and wind speed was separately gathered to analyze a correlation with input signal. The input signal was analyzed for frequency characteristic using FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) and the algorithm that differentiate between intrusion alarm and environmental noise signal is improved. The proposed algorithm is applied for the site for one month as the same as the existing algorithm and the false alarm data was gathered and analyzed. The false alarm number was decreased by 98% after new algorithm was applied to the fence. The proposed algorithm improved the reliability at the field regarding environmental noise signal.

Drive-train friction loss in a vehicle may account for 4% of its total fuel consumption loss. An ATF W/C (auto-transmission fluid warmer/cooler) plate-fin heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger that uses metal plates to transfer heat between the auto-transmission fluid and coolant. The use of an ATF W/C heat exchanger can result in a fuel economy improvement of about 1% in vehicles. An experimental setup for testing the thermal performance of an ATF W/C plate-fin heat exchanger is developed. In this study, the influence of the ATF and coolant, flow rates, and temperature on the efficiency of an ATF W/C heat exchanger are investigated experimentally. From the experimental data, a simple correlation for predicting the efficiency of an ATF W/C heat exchanger is proposed. On the basis of this correlation, the fuel economy of a vehicle with and without an ATF W/C heat exchanger is compared by using Simulink. Finally, it is shown that the fuel economy is improved by 0.992% when an ATF W/C heat exchanger is installed in the vehicle.
In this study, interfacial properties were measured for imidazoline type cationic surfactant system which has been widely used as a fabric softener, a dispersant, an anti-static agent, a bleach activator, and an emulsifier. The CMC of imidazoline surfactant was near $6{\times}10^{-5}mol/L$ and the surface tension at CMC was about 32 mN/m. It was found that surface tension was not affected by surfactant concentration but decreased with an increase in pH. The interfacial tension between 1 wt% aqueous solution and n-dodecane was shown to be about 0.01 mN/m and equilibration time was not affected by pH. Phase behavior experiment in a binary aqueous surfactant system showed that only micellar solution of $L_1$ phase was found under conditions of temperature and pH investigated during this study. Only a two-phase region consisting of lower-phase microemulsion in equilibrium with excess oil phase existed under the same conditions, when oil was added to the binary surfactant system. The foam stability measured with 1 wt% surfactant solution increased with pH, which is consistent with surface tension measurement result. QCM(quartz crystal microbalance) measurement showed that surfactant adsorption increased with surfactant concentration but decreased with pH. According to the friction measurement, best fabric softening effect by imidazoline surfactant system was found under alkali conditions.

Sea pollution accidents have been occurred due to the increase of marine ship traffic. Oil spill from the hull hole induced by tanker collision results in the huge sea pollution. Proper and prompt reaction on such oil spill disaster is needed to minimize the damage. Thru-hull emergency wood plug is typically used to manually close small holes, while it is required to develop some mechanical devices for closing large holes in the hull due to huge fluid pressure. Accurate estimation of oil discharge and velocity from such holes are important to develop proper device to control hull hole damage. High resolution CFD modeling investigation on the configurations of hull hole of 7.5 m initial depth and 30 cm diameter, which was observed in the oil spill accident of the Hebei Sprit off the west coast of Korea in 2007, has been carried out to compute the oil spill velocity distribution in terms of flow depth. Friction loss due to the viscous flow and the discharge coefficient of crude oil with specific gravity SG = 0.85 and viscosity of $4-12cP(mPa{\cdot}s)$ at the temperature of $20^{\circ}C-100^{\circ}C$ are presented in terms of Reynolds number based on the results of high-resolution CFD modeling.
This study was conducted to identify the state of conservation of the national paper heritages and to seek ways of conservation management, focusing on regular monitoring directly performed by the government on the national movable cultural heritages. Subjects for the investigation were limited to investigations conducted by both the Cultural Heritage Conservation Center and the Artistic Heritage Division in 2014 and 2015. Paper heritages are easily affected by temperature, humidity, lighting, etc. due to the nature of the material and can easily be damaged by physical strength; therefore stable conservation environment is essential and regular investigation on movable cultural heritages conducted according to the Cultural Heritage Protection Act is necessary to protect from contamination, being torn, bending, friction, or loss. Losing a chance for timely proper treatment will bring irrevocable result therefore strict management is necessary; continuous monitoring is also needed after treatment. Analysis on the pigments, materials and structures, detailed investigation, data establishment for conservation of cultural heritages and regular investigation should be done. Detailed data on the national cultural heritages will be a base of more reasonable conservation management system for the national paper heritages and will realize continuous improvement on regular investigation practice.

This study investigated the enhanced combustion efficiency of an "air-cooled combustion system" with single F.D. fan, and performed a numerical analysis for the operation and design conditions to increase the combustion efficiency. The combustion efficiency in an actual combustor was compared before and after the structure modification. Numerical analysis for application of a single fan revealed the difficulty of forming a turbulence for circular combustion conditions. This is because the supply ratio of combustion air supplied into 2 flow paths becomes irregular in the combustion furnace due to a change in friction force and pressure in each flow path. Subsequently, two methods of supplying air into the combustion furnace were analyzed numerically to obtain the optimal combustion conditions of an air-cooled combustion system. The first method involved injecting the preheated combustion air after a 180~360 degree rotation from the outer wall, whereas in the second method, the combustion air was injected into the combustion furnace in a tangential direction after primary heat exchange outside the combustion furnace, by applying a rotatable vane structure in the combustion furnace. Results reveal that application of a single F.D. fan to the air injection into a rotatable combustion furnace is desirable for optimization of the combustion conditions for applying a duct structure having a dual cooling wall for the cooling of the outer wall of the combustion furnace, and for maintaining perfect mixing in the combustion furnace. We therefore confirmed enhanced combustion efficiency by comparing the actual combustion efficiency before and after structure modification.
In this study, the dyeing properties of supercritical fluid dyed cotton fabrics were investigated which use two types of dyes, such as C.I. Disperse orange and C.I. Disperse red 167. Dyeing temperature, pressure and leveling time were equally applied at 130 ℃, 250 bar, and 60 minutes with reference to the related literature, and experiments were performed at concentrations of 0.04, 0.1, 0.4 and 0.8 % o.w.f with different concentrations. Dyeability was confirmed through measurement of washing fastness and color coordinate, and a calibration curve of each dye was drawn up and the absorbance of the residual dye was measured to confirm the amount of residual dye and the dye exhaustion rate at the corresponding concentration. As a result of color difference measurement, as the concentration increased, the L* value decreased and the K/S value increased. However, as the concentration increased, the increase in K/S value decreased compared to the input amount, and this tendency was more obvious in C.I. Disperse red 167 than in C.I. Disperse orange 155. The dye exhaustion rate which was calculated by using the amount of residual dye in the pot was also C.I. Disperse orange 155 was 96.16 % and C.I. Disperse red 167 was 94.57 %. However, as the dyeing concentration increased, the dye exhaustion rate decreased, that C.I. Disperse orange was 95.33 % and C.I. Disperse red 167 was 90.63 %. As a result of the washing fastness test for both dyes, dyed samples of which concentrations were 0.4 and 0.8 % o.w.f decreased by 0.5 ~ 1.0 grade. This is predicted because the dye did not completely adhere to the amorphous region of the cotton fiber and the dye simply adsorbed. The fastness to rubbing also maintained at least grade 3-4 up to the 0.1 % o.w.f concentration, but at the concentration of 0.4 % o.w.f or higher, it fell to grade 1 or lower, showing a very poor friction fastness.
In December 2015, the Paris Agreement was adopted to cope with global warming caused by greenhouse gas emission and to prevent the average temperature of the Earth from rising. Renewable energy sources have become important to address environmental problems such as rising sea levels, depletion of forests and fine dust. In order to grow renewable energy, government support is needed. However, excessive government support for the renewable energy industry could pose problems that include undermining fair competition and raising costs. The WTO already has heard cases involving renewable energy subsidies. This article focuses on subsidies and countervailing tariffs as well as examines WTO disputes related to renewable subsidies, and also analyze legal issues that are problematic in granting subsidies for the development of new renewable energy industries. In WTO dispute involving renewable energy subsidies, legal issues are SCM Agreement article 2 Specificity, article 3 (b) import substitution subsidy and GATT article 20. This paper proposes improvement measures such as the reintroduction of article 8 Non-Actionable Subsidies or special provisions on energy subsidy. In addition, it is necessary to clarify the interpretation of Article 3 of the subsidy agreement. However, excessive government subsidies can lead to trade friction, so the WTO rules should be improved in line with the WTO goals of environmental protection, equity in free trade, and sustainable development.
