친환경 효소가공에서 플라즈마 전처리가 염색성과 태에 미치는 영향 (The Study on the Effect of Plasma Pre-treatment on the Dyeing Properties and the Handle in the Environment Friendly Enzyme Finishing)

  • Cotton, wool, cotton/wool blended (80:20) and tencel fabrics were treated with low temperature oxygen plasma, enzymes (cellulase or protease), or oxygen plasma-enzyme and they were examined for dyeing and handling properties for environment friendly finishing. The appropriate conditions for cellulase treatment were enzyme concentration of 3g/l, pH of 5, and $60^{\circ}C$ for one hour, and for protease treatment were enzyme concentration of 4g/l, pH of 8, and $60^{\circ}C$ for one hour. The equilibrium uptake of a direct dye on cotton changed with plasma treatment and plasma-cellulase treatment, and the rate of dyeing slightly decreased. When wool was dyed with acid dye, the equilibrium dye uptake did not change with plasma, protease treatment nor plasma-protease treatment, however, the rate of dyeing had increased with plasma-protease treatment. From these results, it is assumed that plasma attacks the surface of the fiber, and enzyme mainly affects the inner part of the fiber. Plasma treatment did not affect mechanical properties related to the handling of fabrics. The handling test showed increased extension at maxmum load(EM), tensile energy(WT) with decreased tensile resilience (RT), and the fabrics became softer but resilience decreased slightly with enzyme treatment. The bending recidity(B), hysteresis of bending moment(2HB), and hysteresis of shear force at five degrees(2HG5) decreased, however, shear stiffness(G) increased. I knew the plasma pre-treatment made fabrics softer with lower koshi(stiffness). The handling of plasma pre-treated fabrics was better than that of enzyme-treated fabrics. When we pre-treated fabrics, the handling test showed decreased coefficient of friction(MIU), geometrical roughness(SMD), while the surface of fabrics became smoother and numeri increased. Even though compression resilience(RC) increased, fukurami(bulky property) and compressive elasticity, decreased due to the linearity of compression-thickness curve(LC) and compression energy(WC).

절삭유 분사위치에 따른 STS316L의 밀링가공 특성 개선 (Improvement of STS316L Milling Characteristics According to Coolant Spray Position)

  • 고강도 재료나 열전도성이 낮은 재료의 밀링 가공시 가공 부위에서 발생하는 높은 마찰열로 인해 공구 파손 등이 심각하게 발생할 수 있으므로 절삭유 공급이 매우 중요하다. 기존의 절삭유 공급 방식은 수동식 관절 구조를 활용한 방법으로 과도한 양을 분사함에도 불구하고 효과적인 결과를 얻기 힘들었다. 또한, 작업 중 비산으로 인해 작업장 환경에도 큰 악영향을 미쳤다. 이에 본 연구에서는 자동으로 분사 위치 조절이 가능한 장치에 기반하여 절삭유 분사위치에 따른 STS316L 의 밀링가공 특성을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 절삭유 공급 위치 변화에 따라 공구 마모와 표면 거칠기 변화가 관찰되었으며 이를 통해 제작된 장치의 효용성을 보였다.

고분자물질 및 계면활성제의 유동마찰 저감 특성 비교 연구 (A Comparison Study on Flow-Friction Characteristic of Polymer Solution and Surfactant as Drag Reduction Additive)

  • The drag reduction(DR) for Betaine+Amin and Xantan Gum as kinds of surfactant and Polyacrylamide as kinds of polymer solution according to the fluid velocity, temperature and surfactant concentration were compared experimentally. For this study, two kinds of experimental apparatus for short time and long time measurement were established. Each experimental appratus was equipped with hot water storage tanks, pumps, testing pipe network, flowmeter, two pressure gauges and data logging system was built for them. Results showed that Betaine+Amin and Xanthan Gum as kinds of surfactant had appeared optimal DR around 200-500 ppm and their DR tended to be decreased when flow velocity increased but Polyacrylamide as kinds of polymer solution showed the opposite trend to be increased when flow velocity increased. The both of them showed above 40% DR in the case of better condition by the short term measurement. But Polyacrylamide as kinds of polymer solution showed more degradation than Betaine+Amin and Xanthan Gum as kinds of surfactant by the long term measurement. As a result, Betaine+Amin and Xanthan Gum as kinds of surfactant showed better materials to use to the district heating system.

Synthesis and Characterization of Energetic Thermoplastic Elastomers based on Carboxylated GAP Copolymers

  • Energetic thermoplastic elastomers (ETPEs) based on glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) and carboxylated GA copolymers [GAP-ETPE and poly(GA-carboxylate)-ETPEs] were synthesized using isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI), dibutyltin dilaurate (DBTDL), 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD), and soft segment oligomers such as GAP and poly(GA-carboxylate). The synthesized GAP-ETPE and poly(GA-carboxylate)-ETPEs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), universal testing machine (UTM), calorimetry and sensitivity towards friction and impact. DSC and TGA results showed that the introduction of carboxylate group in GAP helped to have better thermal properties. Glass transition temperatures of poly(GA-carboxylate)-ETPEs decreased from -31 ℃ to -33 ℃ compared to that of GAP-ETPE (-29 ℃). The first thermal decomposition temperature in poly(GA0.8-octanoate0.2)-ETPE (242 ℃) increased in comparison to that of GAP-ETPE (227 ℃). Furthermore, from calorimetry data, poly(GA-carboxylate)-ETPEs exhibited negative formation enthalpies (-6.94 and -7.21 kJ/g) and higher heats of combustion (46713 and 46587 kJ/mol) compared to that of GAP-ETPE (42,262 kJ/mol). Overall, poly(GA-carboxylate)-ETPEs could be good candidates for a polymeric binder in solid propellant due to better energetic, mechanical and thermal properties in comparison to those of GAP-ETPE. Such properties are beneficial to application and processing of ETPE.

Ti-Al-Si-N 박막 제작을 위한 합금 타겟 제조 및 박막의 기계적 특성 (Fabrication of Alloy Target for Formation of Ti-Al-Si-N Composite Thin Film and Their Mechanical Properties)

  • Prevailing dissemination of machine tools and cutting technology have caused drastic developments of high speed dry machining with work materials of high hardness, and demands on the high-hardness-materials with high efficiency have become increasingly important in terms of productivity, cost reduction, as well as environment-friendly issue. Addition of Si to TiAlN has been known to form nano-composite coating with higher hardness of over 30 GPa and oxidation temperature over $1,000^{\circ}C$. However, it is not easy to add Si to TiAlN by using conventional PVD technologies. Therefore, Ti-Al-Si-N have been prepared by hybrid process of PVD with multiple target sources or PVD combined with PECVD of Si source gas. In this study, a single composite target of Ti-Al-Si was prepared by powder metallurgy of MA (mechanical alloying) and SPS (spark plasma sintering). Properties of he resulting alloying targets were examined. They revealed a microstructure with micro-sized grain of about $1{\sim}5{\mu}m$, and all the elements were distributed homogeneously in the alloying target. Hardness of the Ti-Al-Si-N target was about 1,127 Hv. Thin films of Ti-Al-Si-N were prepared by unbalanced magnetron sputtering method by using the home-made Ti-Al-Si alloying target. Composition of the resulting thin film of Ti-Al-Si-N was almost the same with that of the target. The thin film of Ti-Al-Si-N showed a hardness of 35 GPa and friction coefficient of 0.66.

오블롱 셀 플레이트 열교환기에서의 R-l34a, R-407C, R-410A의 응축성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (Study on R-l34a, R-407C, and R-410A Condensation Performance in the Oblong Shell and Plate Heat Exchanger)

  • Condensation heat transfer experiments were conducted with the oblong shell and plate heat exchanger without oil in a refrigerant loop using R-l34a, R-407C and R-410A. An experimental refrigerant loop has been developed to measure the condensation heat transfer coefficient h$_{r}$ and frictional pressure drop $\Delta$p$_{f}$ of the various refrigerants in a vertical oblong shell and plate heat exchanger. The effects of the refrigerant mass flux(40∼80kg/$m^2$s), average heat flux(4∼8kW/$m^2$), refrigerant saturation temperature(30∼4$0^{\circ}C$) and vapor quality of refrigerants on the measured data were explored in detail. Similar to the case of a plate heat exchanger, even at a very low Reynolds number, the flow in the oblong shell and plate heat exchanger remains turbulent. A comparison of the performance of the various refrigerants revealed that R-410A had the highest heat transfer performance followed by R-l34a, and R-407C had the lowest performance of the refrigerants tested. The pressure drops were also reported in this paper. The pressure drops for R-410A were approximately 45% lower than those of R-l34a. R-407C had 30% lower pressure drops than R-l34a. Experimental results were compared with several correlations which predicted condensation heat transfer coefficients and frictional pressure drops. Comparison with the experimental data showed that the previously proposed correlations gave unsatisfactory results. Based on the present data, empirical correlations of the condensation heat transfer coefficient and the friction factor were proposed.tor were proposed.sed.

터빈 블레이드 표면과 선형익렬에서의 열전달 및 유동측정 연구 (Heat Transfer and Flow Measurements on the Turbine Blade Surface)

  • An experimental study has been conducted to investigate the effects of the free stream turbulence intensity and Reynolds number on the heat transfer and flow characteristics In the linear turbine cascade. Profiles of the time-averaged velocity, turbulence intensity, and Reynolds stress were measured in the turbine cascade passage. The static pressure and heat transfer distributions on the blade suction and pressure surfaces were also measured. The experiments were made for the Reynolds number based on the chord length, Rec = $2.2{\times}10^4$ to $1.1{\times}10^5$ and the free stream turbulence intensity, $FSTI_1$ = 0.6% to 9.1 %. The uniform heat flux boundary condition on the blade surface was created using the gold film Intrex and the surface temperature was measured by liquid crystal, while hot wire probes were used for the flow measurements. The results show that the free stream turbulence promotes the boundary layer development and delays the flow separation point on the suction surface. It was found that the boundary layer flows on the suction surface for all Reynolds numbers tested with $FSTI_1$ = 0.6% are laminar. It was also found that the heat transfer coefficient on the blade surface increases as the free stream turbulence intensity increases and the flow separation point moves downstream with an increasing Reynolds number. The results of skin friction coefficients are in good agreement with the heat transfer results in that for $FSTI_1{\geq}2.6%$, the turbulent boundary layer separation occurs.

최적 노즐형상을 갖는 수중램제트의 추진성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Propulsion Performance of Underwater Ram-Jet with Optimized Nozzle Configuration)

  • 수중램제트(underwater ram-jet)는 램흡입부(ram intake), 혼합실(mixing chamber) 및 노즐(nozzle)로 구성되어 있으며, 램흡입부로 유입된 작동유체는 압력이 증가되며 이 증압된 작동유체에 혼합실로부터 고압공기를 분사하여 기 액이상류를 형성하여 노즐을 통과하면서 대기압까지 팽창을 하여 작동유체를 고속으로 가속시켜 노즐출구로부터 추력을 얻는 방식으로 차세대 초고속 선박추진장치이다. 본 연구에서는 80노트를 낼 수 있는 선내관통형(buried type vessel) 램제트의 최적 노즐형상데이터를 이용하여 제반변수(벽마찰계수, 가스속도, 기포반경, 대기온도, 질량유량비, 디퓨저면적비, 작동유체의 속도구배)의 변화가 추진특성에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다.

청계천에서의 하천 유사 측정 및 분석(I) - 수리량 및 유사량 - (Field Measurement and Analysis of Fluvial Sediment in the Cheongmi-Stream(I) - Hydraulic and Sediment Characteristics)

  • 한 시험하천에서 평균유속, 수면경사, 통수단면, 수온 등 수리량과 부유사 농도, 부유사 및 하상도의 입경분포 등 유사량을 측정하였다. 측정 대상하천은 남한강의 제1지류인 청미천으로, 경기도 한평교 지점과 장호원의 원부교 지점을 택하였다. 청미천은 그 하상이 완전히 모래로 구성된 하천으로 전형적인 충적하천으로 간주된다. 본 연구에서 측정된 자료의 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다: 1)시험하천의 경우, 홍수시에만 실질적인 유사이동이 있다; 2)수위-유량관계는 특히 저수시에 자주 변한다; 3)유량의 증가에 따라 하천의 마찰 역시 증가한다; 4) 평수나 저수시에는 부유사중에 이토나 점토가 지배적이나, 홍수시에는 모래가 지배적이다; 5) 유속및 부유사 농도의 연직분포는 각각 Prandt1-von Karman의 대수분포식과 Rouse의 지수분포식으로 표시될 수 있다. 이상의 결과들은 청미천에서의 측정결과에 의한 것이나, 이는 청미천에 국한되지 않고 하상이 모래로 구성된 충적하천의 경우 일반적으로 적용될 것으로 유추된다.

솔잎 추출물의 염색성과 기능성 (제1보) -솔잎 추출물의 특성과 셀룰로오스섬유에 대한 염색성- (Dyeability and Functionality of Pine Needles Extract (part I) -Characteristics of Pine Needles Extract and Dyeing Properties of Cellulose Fiber-)

  • Dyeing properties of cotton and ramie fabrics with pine needles colorants were studied by investigating the analysis of pine needles colorants, the effect of dyeing conditions (such as dye concentration, dyeing temperatures and times on dye uptakes), effect of mordants, and color change. The various colorfastness of dyed fabrics were evaluated for practical use; in addition, the antimicrobial ability, ultraviolet-cut ability, and deodorant ability were estimated. In the UV-Visible spectrum, the wavelength of the maximum absorption for pine needles extract was 285nm, and pine needles colorants produced a yellow color. From FT-IR and GC-MS results, it was assumed that chromophoric substance from pine needles extracts were mixed with flavonol tannin and flavanol tannin. An increased dyeing concentration resulted in a larger dye uptake and a Freundlich absorption isotherm was obtained. A larger dye uptake occurred as the dyeing time and temperature increased. Post-mordanting was more effective than pre-mordanting and the dye uptake of fabrics improved by mordanting. The colorfastness of dyed fabrics showed a low rating; however, colorfastness to washing and dry cleaning of cotton fabrics mordanted with N.Cu, and friction fastness of ramie fabric mordanted with Cu improved. The dyed fabrics showed very good antimicrobial abilities of 99.9%. In addition, the ultraviolet-cut ability and deodorant ability improved in fabrics dyed with pine needles extracts.
