케이블 부재의 방청성능 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Anti-corrosive Performance for the Cable Members)

  • 최근 건축물 및 교량 건설에 있어 연성 재료를 사용함으로써 구조형식의 다양화가 적극적으로 이뤄지고 있는 실정이다. 그 중 하나인 케이블 부재는 인장력의 도입으로 인한 전체 구조물의 강성을 증대시킬 수 있으며 흥미로운 연구 대상이라 할 수 있다. 국내에서도 건축물 또는 교량에 케이블 부재를 사용하는 시공 방법이 점차 증가하고 있고 그에 따라 설계 및 시공 기술도 장족의 발전을 이루고 있다 할 수 있다. 설계에 반영된 케이블 부재가 영구적으로 성능을 유지하기 위해서는 케이블 부재의 방청성능이 가장 중요하나, 이에 대한 기술자들의 인식이 다소 부족한 점을 느껴 본 논문에서 케이블의 방청성능에 대해 고찰 하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 미소균열의 정의로서 균열의 크기가 재료의 조직의 크기와 order적으로 같은 균열의 특성이라는 것과 균열의 크기가 소성역 크기와 order적으로 같은 균열의 특성에 착안해서 탄소강 평활재와 예균열재(pre-cracked specimen)에 대 해서 응력비 R=-1 및 R=0의 피로한도 특성과 평활재의 미소균열의 검출 및 정류균열의 생성기구를 균열 열림 닫힘에 주목해서 검토하였다.

  • In order to investigate how the fatigue damage effects on the critical properties of superconductor, a fatigue test at room temperature and an Ic measurement test at 4.2K were carried out in this study, respectively, using a 9 strand Cu-Ni/NbTi/Cu composite cable. Through the fatigue test of a 9 strand Cu-NUNbTi/Cu composite cable, a conventional S-N curve was plotted even though there was a possibility of fretting among strands. It was found that the maximum stress corresponding to the inflection point on the S-N curve obtained was nearly the same value as the yielding strength of cable obtained from the static tensile test. However, the effect of cabling in multi-strands superconducting cable on the fatigue strength was not noticeable. The critical current(Ic) measurement was carried out at 4.2K in a NbTi strand out of the fatigued cable. It showed a degradation of lc at high stress amplitude regions over 380NTa, and the degradation became significant as the applied stress amplitude increased.

6061알루미늄의 피로 균열 성장과 관통에 따른 탄성파의 응력비 영향 (Influence of Stress Ratio of Elastic Waves Generated by Fatigue Crack Growth and Penetration in 6061 Aluminum Plates)

  • The characteristics of elastic waves emanating from crack initiation and propagation in 6061 aluminum alloy subjected to fatigue loading with different stress ratio was investigated. The objective of this study is to determine the properties of the signals generated from each stage of fatigue crack growth. AS a crack propagates, substantial elastic wave occurred just prior to penetration. Then it decreased and the crack penetrated. The waveforms and their power spectra were found to be dependent on the different stress ratio associated with the signals. It is determined that high-frequency signal $0.5{\sim}0.75$ MHz is most likely emitted during crack propagation at peak load of fatigue cycle which release the highest energy. It is determined that 0.3 MHz is closely related to crack closure effect. The frequency peaks below 0.25 MHz may be attributed to fretting or hydraulic noise.

  • One of the useful technologies for light-weightening of components required in the automobile and machine industry is to use high strength materials. To improve material properties, the carbonizing treatment, nitrifying treatment, and shot-peening method are representatively applied. However, the shot-peening method is generally used to remove surface defect on steel and to improve the fatigue strength of the surface. Benefits of shot-peening are increasing resistance against fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, fretting, galling, erosion and closing of pores. In this paper, the effect of shot-peening on the corrosion of SUP-9 steel immersed in a 3.5% NaCl solution and corrosion characteristics from heat treatment during the shot peening process has been investigated. The immersion test was performed on four kinds of specimens. Corrosion potential, the polarization curve, residual stress etc. Were analyzed from the experimental results.

  • The NDT(Non-Destructive Testing) is valid for the defect detection of rolling stocks because it can be used to detect the defect in many invisible parts. For example, fatigue cracks are initiated in press fit parts that suffer from fretting fatigue damage such as the wheel seat and the NDT technique can detect those cracks. But the conventional ICFPD method can not apply to detect such cracks in press fit parts of the axle by some technical problems. In this study, we have introduced the new concept ICFPD method that can be applied in press fit parts of the axle. And we have shown the basic techniques of FEM about the new concept ICFPD method.

But the conventional ICFPD method can not be applied to detect such cracks in press-fit area of the axle by some technical problems. In this study, we introduced a new ICFPD (Induced Current Focusing Potential Drop) method that can be applied in press-fit area of the axle. And we performed the finite element analysis of the new ICFPD method using measured electromagnetic properties of the wheel and axle. It seems that our approach is very useful f3r the detection of defects in invisible places.

항공기 엔진 지지구조물의 피로수명 해석에 관한 연구 (Study on Fatigue Life Estimation for Aircraft Engine Support Structure)

  • 항공기 구조는 신뢰성 보장을 위해 피로하중에 대한 수명예측이 중요한 분야로 고려되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 항공기 비행안전과 가장 밀접한 엔진 지지구조물을 대상으로 S-N 곡선과 등가응력을 이용하여 선형누적손상 이론을 적용한 피로수명 해석을 수행하였다. 내추락 하중 조건에서 정적강도 해석의 최대응력은 가위형 링크 부위에 1,080MPa를 나타내었으며, 이는 온도감소계수를 적용한 허용응력보다 약 5%의 여유를 가지고 있다. 피로하중 조건에서 최대응력은 가위형 링크 부위에 876MPa로 가장 높았으며, 이 때 응력방정식 계수도 0.019MPa/N으로 최대를 나타내었다. 피로수명 해석에 의한 안전수명은 가위형 링크 상단부에 있는 프레팅 영역이 416,667H이고, 다른 부위는 무한수명이 산출되어, 항공기 엔진 지지구조물(가위형 링크, 직선형 링크)은 피로수명 요구도를 충족하는 것으로 확인되었다.

이종재료 Self-Piercing Rivets 접합부의 인장-전단 피로강도 (Tensile-Shear Fatigue Strength of Self-Piercing Rivets Joining Dissimilar Metal Sheets)

  • Self-piercing riveting (SPR) process is gaining popularity due to its many advantages. The SPR does not require a pre-drilled hole and has capability to join a wide range of similar or dissimilar materials and combinations of materials. This study investigated the fatigue strength of self-piercing rivet joint with aluminum alloy (Al-5052) and steel (SPCC) sheets. Static and fatigue tests on tensile-shear specimens were conducted. From the static strength aspect, the optimal punching force for the specimen with upper SPCC (U.S) sheet and lower aluminum alloy(L.A) sheets was 34 kN. During static test the specimens fractured in pull-out fracture mode due to influence of plastic deformation of joining area. There was a relationship between applied load amplitude $P_{amp}$ and number of cycles N ; $P_{amp}=19588N_f^{-0.211}$ and $P_{amp}=4885N_f^{-0.083}$ for U.S-L.A and U.A-L.S specimens, respectively. U.A-L.S fatigue specimens failed due to fretting crack initiation around the rivet neck between upper and lower sheets.
