  • This paper proposes a multiuse detection system in a multi-cell M-ary Frequency Shift Keying(MFSK)/frequency hopping(FH)-Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) environment, in which the channel model is an OR-channel and in the reverse link. We have proposed a multiuse detection system in a single cell. However, this sitye is not adequate to detect multiuser in a multi-cell environment. Therefore, we propose a multiuser detection system based on 3 level OR decision with two threholds. The proposed detection system can delete interference as well as intra-cell interference, receive the weakened desired signal and reject the false alarm. computer simulation shows the performance improvement.

  • A linear power amplifier for the VHF frequency-hopping(FH) transmitter using an adaptive predistortion linearizer is designed. An analog polynomial linearizer as predistorter is employed. The recursive least square(RLS) algorithm is employed in the optimization process to minimize the errors between the predistorter and postdistorter output signals. Experimental results show that the adjacent channel power of the designed power amplifier is reduced by of 10 dB.

  • In this thesis, we designed and implemented a tracking filter which can be used for FH/2-FSK communication system in band of 40~60[MHz]. After measuring a performance of a tracking filter, an insertion loss was measured from 3.7 to 4.3 dB, depending upon a hopping center frequency. The 3 dB bandwidth of a tracking filter was specified 5.1 to 5.33% depend upon a hopping and 30/3 dB shape factor indication for interrupting property of a filter shows 6.828 to 6.98 satisfying a required specification. Also the attenuation $2{\times}f_0$, the characteristic parameter for interference degree, was specified 46~52dB, not satisfying a required specification.

  • Performance analysis is very important to transmit the high quality information and to construct the optimal system for the minimze the noise from the channel of spread spectrum system. In this paper the error rate performance is analyzed with computer simulation in noncoherent frequency hopping M-qry frequency shift keying(FH/MFSk) systems with regard to thermal noise under the partial band jamming environments. AS a result, in case the thermal noise is disregarded, bit error probability of system in jamming fraction ρ and Eb/Nj(bit energy to jamming power density) is reduced with the increase of K and in worst case 32FSK system is better than 2FSK system by 3.23dB with the variatio of Eb/Nj. In case thermal noise is considered, bit error probability of system by 3.23dB with the variation of Eb/Nj. In case thermal noise is considered, bit error probability of system are reduced with the increase of K and Eb/No(bit energy to thermal noise density). Bit error probability in connection with worst case ρ is not largely influenced form over the 14dB to K=1 and 8dB to K=5 accordingly thermal noise disregarding. These results may be useful for avoiding the common vulnerabilities when the spread spectrum system is designed.

  • This paper alms to analyse the performance of frequency hopping /spread spectrum multiple access system by employing the channel with mixture of AWGN, partial band Jamming, fading and user interference. The performance analysis of FH /SSMA system, taking account of frequency 'hit'(user Interference ) which occurs in the presence of multiple user, produces the following numerical results by computing error probability and throughput of each code in two cases whether the side Information about channel is used or not. The numerical results are as follows : When composite interferences coexist In channel, RS code Is significantly superior to convolutional code in terms of performance. Concatenated code provides the same performance as RS code. The above results show that RS code is pertinent as error-correction code.

  • FH system is very robust to the jamming interference. OFDM system is very good for the high speed communication system. But, it has high PAPR. SC-FDMA system based on OFT-spread OFDM was proposed to reduce high PAPR. Therefore, in this paper, we like to introduce the FH system into SC-FDMA system, which can be best solution to the jamming hostile environment and for the high power efficiency. Also, OFDM is very sensitive to ICI. Especially, ICI generated by frequency offset and phase noise breaks the orthogonality among sub-carriers, which seriously degrades the system performance. We analyze the performance of the FH SC-FDMA system in the PBJ and MTJ channel. In this paper, the ICI effects caused by phase noise, frequency offset and Doppler effects are analyzed and we like to propose the PNFS algorithm in the equalizer to compensate the ICI influences. Through the computer simulations, we can confirm the performance improvement.

  • Reader collision may occur when neighboring RFID readers use the same channel at the same time. Especially when the readers are operated in dense mode, even though many channels are available, because of frequent reader collisions we can not guarantee the performance of RFID readers. Conventional solutions such as FH(Frequency Hopping) or LBT(Listen Before Talk) are not effective in this situation because they can not schedule RFID readers effectively when RFID readers are operated in multi-channel, dense reader mode, In this paper, we propose a new RFID reader anti-collision algorithm which employs LBT, random backoff before channel access, and probabilistic channel hopping at the same time. While LBT and Random backoff before channel access reduces collisions between competing readers, probabilistic channel hopping increases channel utilization by adaptively changing the hopping probability by reflecting the reader density and utilization. Simulation results shows that our algorithm outperforms conventional methods.

  • In this paper, the performance of packet radio networks using the ALOHA protocol in Rayleigh fading channels is analyzed in terms of the capture probability and the throughput. We consider capture effect in order to increase the probability of the channel access and to include cellular environment we assume that the traffic is a truncated bell-shaped distribution. The packet proposed in this paper consists of a competition part and a data part to decrease the probability of collision in the channel access. In the competition part, DS system with common spreading code is used and in the data, hybrid DS/FH system is used. We consider the linear correlation receiver and the hard-limiting correlation receiver as the receiver model. BPSK modulation is also employed. Because hybrid DS/FH systems are not sensitive to variation of the interference power, as we choose a proper chip number N and a frequency hopping number q, we can obtain a steady system performance even though the variation of interference power is severe fading channels such as Rayleigh fading.

  • In this paper, we propose a clipping method for LDPC coded FH BFSK system over partial-band jamming channel. We apply the erasure insertion technique, which had been studied much earlier, now to LDPC codes and discuss its performance degradation region. By using clipping technique, the performance degradation can be removed. Finally, we discuss the erasure insertion and clipping techniques for various jamming conditions.

  • The performance of noncoherent FH/FSK system in the presence of multitone jamming and noise is analyged. Random and the structured jammings are considered as a multitone jamming model. The probability density function is derived and then optimum decision rule is applied to determine error probability of each cases. As a result, error probabilities of random and structured multitone jamming are shown as a function of number of jamming tones, jamming to signal power ratio, jamming signal phase and one jamming tone power to signal power ratio under Worst-case Jamming interference. It is found that error probability is maximam when one jamming tone power to signal power ratio is 1. Also we know that error performance of random and structured jamming is almost equal.
