  • In this paper, the O-mode ultrashort-pulse reflectometry (USPR) millimeter-wave signals that propagate into the plasma and cover a frequency bandwidth of 33-158 GHz are examined numerically using MATLAB. Two important processes are involved in the computation: the propagation of the USPR impulse signal through a waveguide and the frequency up-conversion using millimeter-wave mixers. These mixers are limited to intermediate frequency signals that are less than 500 mV; thus, it is necessary to disperse the impulse signal into a chirped waveform using the waveguide. The stationary phase method is utilized to derive a closed-form formula for a chirped waveform under the assumption that the USPR impulse is Gaussian. In the process of frequency up-conversion, the chirped waveform is mixed with the mixer LO signal, and the lower frequency components of the RF signal are removed using high pass filters.

  • Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) combined with time division multiplexing (TDM), in this paper called OFDM/TDM, can overcome the high peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) problem of the conventional OFDM and improve the robustness against long time delays. In this paper, the bit error rate (BER) performance of OFDM/FDM in a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading. channel is evaluated by computer simulation. It is shown that the use of frequency-domain equalization based on minimum mean square error criterion (MMSE-FDE) can significantly improve the BER performance, compared to the conventional OFDM, by exploiting the channel frequency-selectivity while reducing the PAPR or improving the robustness against long time delays. It is also shown that the performance of OFDM/FDM designed to reduce the PAPR can bridge the conventional OFDM and single-carrier (SC) transmission by changing the design parameter.

  • In this paper, we designed of low power system by using dynamic scaling. As an effective low-power design, dynamic voltage/frequency scaling recently has received a lot of attention. In dynamic frequency scheme, all execution cycles are driven by the clock frequency that switched frequency dynamically at run time. The algorithm schedules lower frequency operators at earlier steps and higher frequency operators to later steps. This algorithm assigned the frequency for each execution cycle then it adjusted the voltage associated with the frequency.

  • The purpose of this paper is to research the correlation between frequency and the deletion of /w, (equation omitted)/ in Korean. For this purpose, I select 11 words from the frequency data, then, analyze the speech of 20 speakers of standard Korean. As a result, I can find that there is correlation between the frequency and the deletion rate of segment. The rate of deletion is higher in high frequency words, while the rate of realization is higher in low frequency words. Although there is correlation between the frequency and the deletion rate of segment, the feature of segment, prosodic environments are more important in segment deletion.

  • This paper proposes an improved carrier frequency offset (CFO) and sampling frequency offset (SFO) estimation scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based broadcasting system with cyclic delay diversity (CDD) antenna. By exploiting a periodic nature of channel transfer function, cyclic delay and pilot pattern with a maximum channel power are carefully chosen, which helps to enable a robust estimation of CFO and SFO against the frequency selectivity of the channel. As a performance measure, a closed-form expression for the achievable mean square error of the proposed scheme is derived and is verified through simulations using the parameters of the digital radio mondiale standard. The comparison results show that the proposed frequency estimator is shown to benefit from properly selected delay parameter and pilot pattern, with a performance better than the existing estimator.

  • The objective of this study is to examine the onset condition and the frequency characteristics of the low-frequency combustion oscillation in a surface burner. For this purpose, extensive parametric studies have been performed experimentally and the effects of size of each section, the equivalence ratio, and the entrance velocity on oscillatory behavior explored. The experimental results were discussed in comparison with the other combustors associated tilth the low-frequency combustion oscillation. The combustion mode is driven at high combustion rate by the lift of unstable flame near the lower limit of the combustible equivalence ratio. The oscillation frequency is dependent not on the burner geometry but on the equivalence ratio and the combustion load. Low-frequency combustion mode was formed to be divided into two different modes, named C1 and C2 respectively. Two modes occurred individually, simultaneously or transitionally according to the equivalence ratio and combustion load. The characteristics of low-frequency oscillation is different from each other depending on the type of combustors. The surface burner has also its own characteristics of low -frequency oscillation.

  • We study on the frequency-producer softwearizing method of the already existed detailed-micro-wave tool. In the results, we can attain the more and more miniaturization of the existing tool and the frequency-producer softwearization. The frequency-producer softwearization works are modulizing and each parts are not interdependence, therefore the works are achieved independently. The modulization works are subdivided the drawing up the micro frequency graph, the formation of frequency file, and the frequency productionㆍamplificationㆍtransformation. Each modul is library file, and one modul is organized for the feasibly using another application.

  • We studied on the nondestructive evaluation of the elastic wave signal of SiC ceramics and SiC/SiC composite ceramics under monotonic tensile loading. The elastic wave signal of cross and unidirectional SiC/SiC composite ceramics were obtained by pencil lead method and bending test. It was applied for the time-frequency method which used by the discrete wavelet analysis algorithm. The time-frequency analysis provides time variation of each frequency component involved in a waveform, which makes it possible to evaluate the contribution of SiC fiber frequency. The results were compared with the characteristic of frequency group from SiC slurry and fiber. Based on the results, if it is possible to shift up and design as a higher frequency group, we will can make the superior material better than those of exiting SiC/SiC composites.

  • The instantaneous frequency gives a frequency value at a time instance. Thus, it is natural to use the instantaneous frequency for detecting disturbances of voltage signal in power line. Various instantaneous frequency estimators are introduced. By applying to different types of disturbed signals, we show the estimators' ability to classify flickers. Also, the computational costs are compared between different instantaneous frequency estimators. The Prony's method (PRONY) and the modified covariance method (MCOV) need relatively smaller amount of calculation than the Teaser-Kaiser energy operator based estimator (DESA II). For an AM-FM modulated signal, the tracking performance of different instantaneous frequency estimators is also compared. Through simulation, it is shown that MCOV produces less variant frequency estimation values than DESA II and PRONY method.

  • Characteristics of the high frequency pulsatile flow have been investigated experimentally to understand the flow phenomena in the hydraulic system. The accumulator in high frequency hydraulic system but that is not effective all frequency zone. Therefore, a hydraulic damper used with accumulator is suggested to reduce the high frequency pulsatile where the accumulator is not effective. The pulsating pressure obtained by Pressure measurement system are analyzed to power spectral density distribution. According to the variations of pump input pressure and actuator acceleration frequency, the pressure is measured with or without an accumulator or pulsatile damper The amplitude of pressure with damper is very lower than those without accumulator or damper due to absorbing function of damper. As the frequency of actuator acceleration is increased, the effect of damper becomes very important to decrease the amplitude of pulsatile Pressure waveform with high frequencies.
