  • Although advertising plays an important role of information source for consumer, also advertising affect negative influence to the consumer and social system. Under the such a concept, this study reviewed the social responsibility of advertising and the freedom of expression including the foreign country's advertising regulation system as the theoretical background of advertising regulation. In addition, this study analyzed the case of the advertisement reviews by Korea Advertising Review Board(august 1, 2000, the business concerning prior deliberation of broadcast advertisements was entrusted to the Korea Advertising Review Board, a civilian self-regulatory body, by the Korean Broadcasting Commission) and Fare Trade Commission. As the result of data analysis, some problems of regulation system and codes are suggested and discussed as follows: (1) the high ratio of rejection (2) using the unnecessary foreign language (3) inconsistency application of deliberation standard.

  • This paper presents a control of active suspension for quarter car model with two degree of freedom by using H$\infty$ method. Absolute velocity of car body is measured for feedback. The system parameter variations are treated with multiplicative uncertainty model. Simulation results show that the H$\infty$ control provides good trade-off between ride quality, suspension packaging and road holding constraints. The experiment with a front wheel suspension system was done to verify the simulation results.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine empirically the short- and long-run determinants of entrepreneurial activity in a sample of 15 the Middle East and North African economies between 2006 and 2018. More specifically, four groups of determinants are considered in the analysis, namely economic, demographic, business environment, and institutional. Given the autoregressive feature of the entrepreneurial activity process, a dynamic panel data model is estimated using the system GMM estimator. Findings reveal that unemployment, trade openness, population density, and economic freedom are the main drivers of new business creation in the short-run, while the cost and number of procedures to start a new business negatively affect entrepreneurship. In the long-run, the same findings hold true. Moreover, education and political stability and the absence of violence/terrorism positively affect entrepreneurial activity. Policy recommendations are accordingly designed.

  • The locking is the most widely-used concurrency control mechanism for guaranteeing logical consistency of a database where a number of transactions perform concurrently. In this Paper, we propose a new method for lock management appropriate in main-memory databases. Our method chooses the partition, a fixed-sized container for records. as a unit of locking. and directly keeps lock information within the Partition itself. These make our method enjoy the following advantages: (1) it has freedom in controlling of the trade-off between the system concurrency and the lock processing overhead by considering the characteristics of given target applications. (2) it enhances the overall system performance by eliminating the hashing overhead, a serious problem occurred in the traditional method.

  • This research investigates the rising new role of mileage system as private e-money in a exploratory study. The key research questions are 'How does mileage system evolve with expansion of e-business and what are the cases for real experiences in 'money-like' mileage and their implications?' This research focuses on the proposition that mileage points created in commercial transactions as a royalty program are observed to serve a new role as payment tool. In an attempt to identify factors that determine mileage system as private money, we employ three factors: confidence, transaction cost, and monetary freedom. Also, this research proposes a direction for further research and follow-up studies to establish legal and institutional issues and the relevant architecture, all of which are essential elements to make the mileage points global money with a certain trade ratio in the near future.

  • U.S. lawmakers tend to organize sub-party groups focusing on regions, ideologies, policies, and foreign affairs. Examples include the conservative Freedom Caucus loyal to Trump and the Congressional Black Caucus promoting the interests of African Americans. Then how do these legislative groups affect the making of U.S. foreign policy? Paying special attention to the Korea caucus in U.S. Congress, we have analyzed the sources and processes of congressional caucus and foreign policy and have learned that structures and activities of the caucuses differ from one another. The Korea caucus seems to be a bipartisan group that focuses on issues such as trade, travel, and troubles provoked by Pyongyang. However, the Korea caucus is not really a solid voting bloc for policy alternatives; it is instead more of a constituency-oriented legislative group that prioritizes local interests. This research underscores the need for systematic and comprehensive study of U.S. legislative politics and foreign policy.

  • In this study, a novel group-indexed orthogonal frequency division multiplexing index modulation (OFDM-IM) scheme is proposed to achieve a tradeoff between spectral efficiency (SE) and bit-error-rate (BER) performance. In the proposed scheme, the total subcarriers in a group are divided into subgroups, and additional bits are transmitted by subgroup indexing, unlike the conventional OFDM-IM scheme, which uses index bits to select active subcarriers. With the proposed scheme, the additional degree of freedom provided by the number of active subgroups selected provides a tradeoff between spectral efficiency and BER performance. Decoding is performed in steps to reduce computional complexity in the decoder design. Simulaton results show that the number of active subgroups selected influences the proposed scheme's performance in terms of energy efficiency, spectral efficiency, and BER performance.

  • In the conventional $H_2$ design of PI controllers, the quadratic cost function includes only the plant output term and hence, the optimal controller often results in a very large plant input. In this paper, $H_{\infty}$ design methodology is combined with the conventional $H_2$ design to make a trade-off between the regulation of the plant input and the plant output in a systematic way.

  • In today's era of digital technologies, the problem of religious communication in the cyberspace is being actualized, since the globality and accessibility of the WWW makes it one of the most effective and promising channels for transmitting various kinds of messages, including those of a religious nature. Today, religious organizations and movements pay the closest attention to the virtual media space, not only using it to attract new followers, but also for religious PR, image-making and branding, informing the world about themselves through news from the life of the organization and its followers. An equally important form of electronic communication in the online sphere is currently the interaction of various religious movements and religious cultures in general, or the dialogue of confessions in particular. Research in the digital space makes it possible to identify important trends in religious spheres based on the analysis of the flow of information on the Internet, to demonstrate the specifics of individual media outlets and the consequences of their activities for interreligious dialogue, to study the role of the Internet in changing religious beliefs, the possibility of changing religious identity, retrospective development of religious enlightenment at the turn of the century, to determine the vectors of possible interreligious interaction and discuss the role of digital technologies in the work of religious structures, to state the need to continue an active dialogue between representatives of religious movements, to hold expert seminars on interreligious dialogue on a regular basis, and to record the risks generated by the digital space. Thus, the coronavirus pandemic served as a background and context, a litmus test and a catalyst for accelerating and intensifying interreligious, interfaith dialogue and dialogue between religious organizations and society.
