Optic-axis Alignment and Performance Test of the Schwarzschild-Chang Off-axis Telescope

  • The Schwarzschild-Chang off-axis telescope is a "linear astigmatism-free" confocal system. The telescope comprises two pieces of aluminum-alloy freeform mirrors that are fabricated with diamond turning machine (DTM) process. We designed optomechanical structures where optical components in the telescope system can be adjustable on a linear stage. Optomechanical deformation caused by the weight of system itself and its temperature variation is analyzed by the finite element analysis (FEA). The results show that the deformation is estimated in the tolerance range. For the optic-axis alignment of telescope system, three-point alignment (TPA) method is chosen. The TPA method uses three parallel lasers and a plane mirror. Point source images were taken from collimated light and field observation. The performance of optical system was tested by point spread function and aberration measurement of the point sources.

공공도서관 프로그램에 따른 공간사용방법 및 사용자 요구도 (Space Planing and User Needs for Public Library's Program)

  • This study examined the programs of public library and the spaces for them in Seoul and Gyunggi area. The examination was performed by making field surveys on 12 sample public libraries and posing user questionnaires on 4 libraries out of the sample. The data from the questionnaire survey were processed and analyzed with SPSS 14.0. The results are as follows: First, according to the arrangement of the furniture, the space usages for the programs in public libraries are divided into four classes, one-way exposure: free of furniture: two-way exposure. The one-way exposure has been the most common though the furniture arrangement varies with the characteristics of a program. Second, language or information technology related programs are the most frequently attended programs in public libraries. Lastly, the space usage for the reading education programs has had the highest level of the user satisfaction measurement while the user satisfaction is lower in those for general culture programs and health care programs.

RGB-Depth 카메라를 활용한 유체 표면의 거동 계측분석 (RGB-Depth Camera for Dynamic Measurement of Liquid Sloshing)

  • 본 논문에서는 건축물 진동저감장치에 적용되는 액체감쇠기 내 유체 자유표면의 동적 거동 계측을 위해 저가형 RGB-depth 센서인 Microsoft사 $Kinect^{(R)}$ v2의 활용과 계측시스템을 구축하는 방법을 제안하였다. $Kinect^{(R)}$ v2의 성능검토 및 실효성 확인, SDK(software development kit)를 사용한 실시간 모니터링, 3D 공간상에서 유체의 표면 정보 취득, 기존 비디오 센싱기법과의 비교를 통해 본 연구에서 제안한 유체의 동적 거동 계측 시스템의 정확성과 우수성을 검증하였다. 제안된 계측시스템을 활용하여 소형 수조 내 액체에 대한 동적 거동 정밀계측을 수행하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 광범위한 가진입력에 대한 유체 자유표면의 동적 거동 특징을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 RGB-depth센서의 건축물 진동저감 적용을 통해 정밀한 모니터링 시스템을 구축하고 최적화된 액체감쇠기의 설계 및 운용을 기대할 수 있다.

Target-free vision-based approach for vibration measurement and damage identification of truss bridges

  • This paper presents a vibration displacement measurement and damage identification method for a space truss structure from its vibration videos. Features from Accelerated Segment Test (FAST) algorithm is combined with adaptive threshold strategy to detect the feature points of high quality within the Region of Interest (ROI), around each node of the truss structure. Then these points are tracked by Kanade-Lucas-Tomasi (KLT) algorithm along the video frame sequences to obtain the vibration displacement time histories. For some cases with the image plane not parallel to the truss structural plane, the scale factors cannot be applied directly. Therefore, these videos are processed with homography transformation. After scale factor adaptation, tracking results are expressed in physical units and compared with ground truth data. The main operational frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes are identified by using Subspace Stochastic Identification (SSI) from the obtained vibration displacement responses and compared with ground truth data. Structural damages are quantified by elemental stiffness reductions. A Bayesian inference-based objective function is constructed based on natural frequencies to identify the damage by model updating. The Success-History based Adaptive Differential Evolution with Linear Population Size Reduction (L-SHADE) is applied to minimise the objective function by tuning the damage parameter of each element. The locations and severities of damage in each case are then identified. The accuracy and effectiveness are verified by comparison of the identified results with the ground truth data.

30 MHz에서 1 GHz 대역 EMI 측정용 다이폴안테나 교정의 측정 불확도 (Measurement Uncertainty for Calibration of EMI Dipole Antenna from 30 MHz to 1 GHz)

  • 측정 분야나 교정 분야에서 측정 불확도를 보고하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 정보통신부 전파연구소에서는 EMI 측정 시험소를 위하여 안테나 교정 서비스를 제공하고 있는데, 안테나 교정의 정확성은 측정 불확도 평가로 집약되어, EMI 시험의 신뢰성을 판가름하는 시금석이 된다. EMI에 관한 국제기구인 CISPR에서는 2005년 말에 안테나 교정에 대한 최초의 표준 초안인 CISPR/A/644/C를 내놓았다. 이 초안은 안테나교정 및 관련된 측정 불확도를 포함하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 문서를 근간으로 전파연구소 이천의 안테나 교정시험장에서 EMI용 다이폴안테나를 교정할 때의 측정 불확도를 산출하였다. 전파연구소의 안테나 교정 방법은 자유 공간 안테나 인자를 측정하는 3-안테나의 height scanning averaging 법으로서, 본 방법에 의하여 안테나가 교정될 때 측정 결과에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 모든 불확도 요인을 고려하였다.

PIV 기법을 이용한 Streamwise Corner 층류 경계층 측정 연구 (Measurement of the Laminar Boundary Layer in a Streamwise Corner by using PIV Technique)

  • 두 개의 평판이 직각으로 만나는 corner에서 형성되는 층류 경계층을 입자영상유속계 기법을 이용하여 측정하였다. 자유류 유속은 2.96 ~ 3.0 m/s, 층류 경계층이 형성 될 수 있도록 모델에 대한 유동의 입사각을 1.2도로 하여 작은 순 압력구배를 제공하였다. 모델의 앞전은 둥근 형상으로 처리하였으며 모델의 길이는 약 1000mm이다. 측정 결과는 이등분면에서 corner 경계층의 전형적인 특징인 변곡점을 가지는 박리형 속도 분포를 보여주었다. 이등분면에서 멀어져 감에 따라 속도 분포는 평판의 Blasius 분포로 변해가고, 이등분면 경계층 두께의 약 절반만큼 평판을 따라 멀어지면 변화가 완료된다. 앞전에서부터 하류로 감에 따라 이등분면에서의 경계층 성장 및 속도 분포의 유사 상사성을 측정 결과로부터 확인하였다.

지상사진(地上寫眞)에 의한 삼차원변형측량(三次元變形測量)의 신뢰도(信賴度) 분석(分析)(기일(其一)) (Reliability Analysis of the Three-Dimensional Deformation Measurement by Terrestrial Photogrammetry)

  • 지상사진측량(地上寫眞測量)에 의한 3차원변형해석(次元變形測量)은 표정점(標定點)에 대한 3차원좌표(次元變座標)를 계산하고 이들 좌표로부터 변위(變位)를 구하므로써 변형해석(變形測量)을 하게 된다. 지상사진측량(地上寫眞測量)에 의한 변형해석(變形測量)은 3차원좌표(次元變座標) 획득과 변위점검출(變位點檢出) 및 변형량추정(變形量推定)으로 크게 나눌 수 있다. 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 처음단계로 번들조정법에 의한 좌표계산에서 지상기준점수(地上基準點數)와 사진수(寫眞數)의 증가에 따른 외부표정요소(外部標定要素)의 분산(分散)-공분산행렬(共分散行列)변화를 분석하였다. 그리고 지상기준점(地上基準點)의 정확도(正確度)를 향상시키기 위한 제약조건을 주기위해 번들조정법에 자유강조정(自由鋼調整)개념을 도입하였다. 이상의 결과분석으로부터 경제성과 시간절약의 측면을 고려할때 지상기준점수(地上基準點數)는 6점(點), 사진수(寫眞數)는 3개가 적합함을 알 수 있다. 또한 번들조정에 자유강조정(自由鋼調整)개념을 적용한 경우 공간거리의 제약조건을 외곽에 분포시키는 것이 바람직함을 알 수 있었다.

주파수 선택 구조 레이돔 제작 과정에서 발생 가능한 불연속적 구조의 영향 분석 (Analysis of Discontinuous Structure Effect in Frequency Selective Radome Manufacturing)

  • In this paper, the electromagnetic effects on the discontinuity structures of the frequency selective radome in manufacturing process based on the X-band were analyzed. In order to fabricate a curved radome using a planar frequency selective surface structure, it is assumed that gaps, slanted gaps, pattern damage, and pattern misalignment between FSS patterns, which are discontinuous elements that can occur at the joint surface of the FSS panel. FSS specimens including continuous elements were fabricated and the frequency transmission characteristics were measured in a free space measurement environment. From the measurement results, resonance frequency shift, transmission performance degradation, and bandwidth variations were found to be the largest when the damaged pattern was bonded to the junction of FSS panels.

Measurement and Modeling of Personal Exposure to the Electric and Magnetic Fields in the Vicinity of High Voltage Power Lines

  • Background: This work presents an experimental and modeling study of the electromagnetic environment in the vicinity of a high voltage substation located in eastern Algeria (Annaba city) specified with a very high population density. The effects of electromagnetic fields emanating from the coupled multi-lines high voltage power systems (MLHV) on the health of the workers and people living in proximity of substations has been analyzed. Methods: Experimental Measurements for the Multi-lines power system proposed have been conducted in the free space under the high voltage lines. Field's intensities were measured using a referenced and calibrated electromagnetic field meter PMM8053B for the levels 0 m, 1 m, 1.5 m and 1.8 m witch present the sensitive's parts as organs and major functions (head, heart, pelvis and feet) of the human body. Results: The measurement results were validated by numerical simulation using the finite element method and these results are compared with the limit values of the international standards. Conclusion: We project to set own national standards for exposure to electromagnetic fields, in order to achieve a regional database that will be at the disposal of partners concerned to ensure safety of people and mainly workers inside high voltage electrical substations.

Empirical millimeter-wave wideband propagation characteristics of high-speed train environments

  • Owing to the difficulties associated with conducting millimeter-wave (mmWave) field measurements, especially in high-speed train (HST) environments, most propagation channels for mmWave HST have been studied using methods based on simulation rather than measurement. In this study, considering a linear cell layout in which base stations are installed along a railway, measurements were performed at 28 GHz with a speed up to 170 km/h in two prevalent HST scenarios: viaduct and tunnel scenarios. By observing the channel impulse responses, we could identify single- and double-bounced multipath components (MPCs) caused by railway static structures such as overhead line equipment. These MPCs affect the delay spread and Doppler characteristics significantly. Moreover, we observed distinct path loss behaviors for the two scenarios, although both are considered line-of-sight (LoS) scenarios. In the tunnel scenario, the path loss exponent (PLE) is 1.3 owing to the waveguide effect, which indicates that the path loss is almost constant with respect to distance. However, the LoS PLE in the viaduct scenario is 2.46, which is slightly higher than the free-space loss.
