This paper presents a superresolution restoration technique that can restore high-resolution images from differently blurred low resolution images rather than using the motion information between low-resolution images. In order to restore the super-resolution image the rotatable aperture mask lens system is proposed. The proposed technique does not need to estimate point spread function at each frame. In addition, it does not require image registration because there is no global translational motion between low resolution images. By using a rotatable rectangular aperture, two consecutive captured images provide sufficiently exclusive information for superresolution. Therefore, the proposed method can reduce the registration error between the low-resolution image as well as the calculation amount for superresolution restoration. The existing lens system of the camera can be extended to obtain a superresolution image by only adding an rotatable rectangular aperture mask. Finally, in order to verify the performance of the proposed system, experimental results are performed. By comparing with the existing superresolution methods, the proposed method showed the significant improvements in the sense of spatial resolution.
Since a display device such as TV or digital signage is getting larger, the types of media is getting changed into wider view one such as UHD, panoramic and jigsaw-like media. Especially, panoramic and jigsaw-like media is realized by stitching video clips, which are captured by different camera or devices. However, a stitching process takes long time, and has difficulties in applying for a real-time process. Thus, this paper suggests to find out 2D Adjacency Matrix, which tells spatial relationships among those video clips in order to decrease a stitching processing time. Using the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), we convert the each frame of video source from the spatial domain (2D) into frequency domain. Based on the aforementioned features, 2D Adjacency Matrix of images could be found that we can efficiently make the spatial map of the images by using DCT. This paper proposes a new method of generating 2D adjacency matrix by using DCT for producing a panoramic and jigsaw-like media through various individual video clips.

In this paper we introduce a commercial interactive whiteboard (IWB) system named ImSensorTouch by ImSensor Inc. Using this interface system, we can control our computer through the interactive whiteboard screen just by touching it with your finger or a pen. The interface interacts with Windows operating system (OS) and is adaptable to changes of surroundings especially temperature, and illumination condition. The proposed system calculates the difference between a reference image and a current image captured by a camera in the optical receptive field. And the position making the difference is used to generate the position on Windows screen. Then, we send a mouse event on the position to Windows OS. We have implemented the system using a critical section(CS) with two threads for the reference frame update process in which an adaptive thresholding technique is periodically exploited to get reliable result. We expect the system is competitive and promises a bright future in the IWB market.

APP based on the smart phone is being utilized to various scopes such as medical services in hospitals, financing services at banks and credit card companies, and ubiquitous technologies in companies and homes etc. In this service environment, exposures of smart phones cause loss of assets including leaks of official/private information by outsiders. Though secret keys, pattern recognition technologies, and single image authentication techniques are being applied as protective methods, but they have problems in that accesses are possible by utilizing static key values or images like pictures. Therefore, this study proposes a face authentication technology for protecting smart phones from these dangerous factors and problems. The proposed technology authenticates users by extracting key frames of user's facial images by real time, and also controls accesses to the smart phone. Authentication information is composed of multiple key frames, and the user' access is controlled by distinction algorism of similarity utilizing DC values of image's pixel and luminance.
To fly a drone or unmanned aerial vechicle(UAV) safely, its pilot needs to maintain high situation awareness of its flight space. One of the important ways to improve the flight space awareness is to integrate both the global and the local navigation map a drone provides. However, the drone pilot often has to use the inconsistent reference frames or perspectives between the two maps. In specific, the global navigation map tends to display space information in the third-person perspective, whereas the local map tends to use the first-person perspective through the drone camera. This inconsistent perspective problem makes the pilot use mental rotation to align the different perspectives. In addition, integrating different dimensionalities (2D vs. 3D) of the two maps may aggravate the pilot's cognitive load of mental rotation. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the relation between perspective difference ($0^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $180^{\circ}$, $270^{\circ}$) and the map dimensionality matches (3D-3D vs. 3D-2D) to improve the way of integrating the two maps. The results show that the pilot's flight space awareness improves when the perspective differences are smaller and also when the dimensionalities between the two maps are matched.

This paper describes the medical and IT convergence system using a smart phone and a heuristic method for the measurement of the dripping speed of the liquid in a drip chamber, which can estimate the remaining time using pattern recognition and difference image from video frame information based on Android technology. The video frames were first made using a smartphone camera and we calculated the difference image between the n image and the (n-1) image and then changed into binary images using the threshold value. At this point, it is very important to find an optimal threshold value using heuristic method to recognize the dripping of the liquids. In addition, the user can adjust the dripping speed according to the doctor's prescription, exactly like watching the progress bar of a mobile application. The experiment results show that our method using video processing technique accurately measures the dripping speed for a wide range of speeds that are sufficient for ordinary practice.

In this paper, after inputting the computer with the attached number plate on the vehicle, using it, the color decomposition method and back propagation neural network proposed the extractable method of the vehicle number plate at high speed. This method separated R, G, B signal form input moving vehicle image to computer through video camera, then after transform this R, G, B signal into input image data of the computer by using color depth of vehicle number plate and store up binary value in the memory frame buffer. After adapting character's recognition algorithm, also improving this, by adapting back propagation neural network makes the vehicle number plate recognition system. Also minimalizing the similar color's confusion, adapting horizontal and vertical extracting algorithm by using the vehicle's rectangular architecture shows the extract and character's recognition of the vehicle number plate at high speed.
Since $Gr{\"{o}}nadhl$ et al introduced a digital subtraction radiography into periodontal dignosis in 1983, many reports using this system has aimed to assess the peroiodontal disease activity and the alveolar bone changes after periodontal treatment. The present study was performed to evaluate the usefulness of digital subtraction radiography for asessing an alveolar bone changes in 3 months after periodontal flap surgery. Serial intraral raiographs were taken from 5 normal subjects and 6 periodontally diseased patients using customized bite blocks attached to film holder in fxation device and digitized by image processing system(consisting of IBM 386, digital frame grabber, CCD camera, Image-pro II software). And the reference parameters were measured by pixel unit and compared with respective radiographs. The serial radiographs showed a little and statistically insignificant difference in reference paramenters. The conventional intraoral radiographs, the subtraction images and the clor enhanced subtraction images were reviewed by 4 examiners and the examiner's agreement rates were compared. The subtraction images and its color enhanced images showed higher examiner's agreement rate than the conventional radiographs. And the propotions of sites diagnosed with bone loss or gain after periodontal surgery were highter in the subtraction images and its color enhanced images than in the conventional radiographs. Especially, in color enhanced images, the unber of bone agin sites tended to increase according to post-surgery periods. These results indicate that projection geometry could be standardized with the divice used in this study, and the subtraction radiography may be useful to assess an alveolar bone changes after periodntal flap surgery.

The natural moving objects are the most non-rigid shapes with randomly time-varying deformation, and its types also very diverse. Methods of non-rigid shape reconstruction have widely applied in field of movie or game industry in recent years. However, a realistic approach requires moving object to stick many beacon sets. To resolve this drawback, non-rigid shape reconstruction researches from input video without beacon sets are investigated in multimedia application fields. In this regard, our paper propose novel CPSRF(Chained Partial Stereo Rigid Factorization) algorithm that can reconstruct a non-rigid 3D shape. Our method is focused on the real-time reconstruction of non-rigid 3D shape and motion from stereo 2D video sequences per frame. And we do not constrain that the deformation of the time-varying non-rigid shape is limited by a Gaussian distribution. The experimental results show that the 3D reconstruction performance of the proposed CPSRF method is superior to that of the previous method which does not consider the random deformation of shape.

This paper aims to examine the insulation performance of insulated gang form by changing the energy (power) consumption and concrete calorific value to assist in concrete protection in cold weather. According to the test results, the general gang form will generate three times the energy (power) consumption for 12 hours after the concrete is poured. In contrast, insulated gang foam consumed no energy (power) for 21 hours after pouring. The final power consumption was 3.7 times higher than that of the general gang form, confirming the improved performance of insulated gang form with regard to energy (power) consumption. The calorific value examination shows that the calorific value changes significantly according to the change of outside temperature after concrete placement in the case of the general gang form. However, in the case of the insulated gang form, only a slight heat loss occurred in the part of the frame, and it showed a constant heating pattern from the concrete casting to the demolding of the mold.
