멀티미디어 검색을 위한 shot 경계 및 대표 프레임 추출 (Shot boundary Frame Detection and Key Frame Detection for Multimedia Retrieval)

  • 본 논문에서는 MPEG 비디오 스트림을 분석하여 DCT DC 계수를 추출하고 이들로 구성된 DC 이미지로부터 제안하는 robust feature를 이용하여 shot 검출을 수행한 후 각 feature들의 통계적 특성을 이용하여 스트림의 특징에 따라 weight를 부가하여 구해진 characterizing value의 시간 변화량을 구한다. 추해진 변화량의 local maxima와 local minima는 비디오 스트림에서 각각 가장 특징적인 frame과 평균적인 frame을 나타낸다. 이 순간의 shot을 구함으로서 효과적이고 빠른 시간 내에 key frame을 추출한다. 추출되어진 key frame에 대하여 원영상을 복원한 후, 색인을 위하여 다수의 parameter를 구하고, 사용자가 질의한 영상에 대해서 이들 파라메터를 구하여 key frame들과 가장 유사한 대표영상들을 검색한다. 실험결과 일반적인 방법보다 더 나은 결과를 보였고, 높은 검색율을 보였다.

  • PVC 프레임의 취약한 강도를 보완하기 위해 사용되는 철재 보강재는 상대적으로 높은 열전도 특성으로 인해 PVC 프레임의 전체적인 열 성능을 떨어뜨리는 역할을 한다. 본 연구는 철재 보강재의 타공을 통해 표면적을 줄임으로서 전열 면적의 감소를 통한 열저항 특성을 개선하고, 감소된 만큼 두께를 높임으로서 타공으로 인한 강도 저하를 보완하였다. 이에 대한 성능을 평가하기 위해 PVC frame, PVC frame + original steel stiffener, PVC frame + 30% perforated steel stiffener, PVC frame + 50% perforated steel stiffener, PVC frame + 65% perforated steel stiffener 등 5개의 시험체를 구성하였으며, 시험 방법은 수식과 시뮬레이션에 의한 방법을 적용하였다. 시험 결과 PVC frame + 65% perforated steel stiffener이 열저항 특성과 강도특성에서 가장 높은 것으로 평가되었다.

철골 모멘트골조로 보강된 철근콘크리트 건물의 내진성능 평가 (Seismic Performance Evaluation of Non-Seismic Reinforced Concrete Buildings Strengthened by Perimeter Steel Moment Frame)

  • This paper is to investigate the retrofitting effect for a non-seismic reinforced concrete frame strengthened by perimeter steel moment frames with indirect integrity, which ameliorates the problems of the direct integrity method. To achieve this, first, full-scale tests were conducted to address the structural behavior of a two-story non-seismic reinforced concrete frame and a strengthened frame. The non-seismic frame showed a maximum strength of 185 kN because the flexural-shear failure at the bottom end of columns on the first floor was governed, and shear cracks were concentrated at the beam-column joints on the second floor. The strengthened frame possessed a maximum strength of 338 kN, which is more than 1.8 times that of the non-seismic specimen. A considerable decrease in the quantity of cracks for the strengthened frame was observed compared with the non-seismic frame, while there was the obvious appearance of the failure pattern due to the shear crack. The lateral-resisting capacity for the non-seismic bare frame and the strengthened frame may be determined per the specified shear strength of the reinforced columns in accordance with the distance to a critical section. The effective depth of the column may be referred to as the longitudinal length from the border between the column and the foundation. 연어 Frame 육의 식품성분 특성 (Food Component Characterization of Muscle From Salmon Frame)

  • 연어 가공 부산물의 효율적 이용을 위하여 연어 frame 유래 근육의 식품성분 특성에 대하여 살펴보았고, 아울러 연어 fillet와 비교하여 살펴보았다. 연어 frame 근육의 일반 성분은 수분의 경우 73.2%이었고, 건물 100 g 당 조단백질, 조지방 및 조회분 함량은 각각 76.9%, 15.7% 및 4.1%이었다. 연어 frame 근육의 pH 및 휘발성염기질소 함량은 각각 6.63 및 16 mg/100 g으로 신선하여 수산가공원료로 사용 가능하였다. 연어 frame 근육의 헌터 색조는 명도, 적색도 및 황색도가 각각 55.34, 16.60 및 19.99이었고, 색차가 48.83이었으며, 이는 fillet 근육에 비하여 명도의 경우 높았으나, 적색도, 황색도 및 색차의 경우 낮았다. TCA 가용성 질소 함량은 연어 frame 근육이 542 mg/100 g으로 연어 fillet 근육의 612 mg/100 g에 비하여 낮았다. 연어 frame 근육의 지방산 조성, 총 아미노산 함량 및 칼슘, 인 함량과 같은 영양성분은 물론이고, 색조 및 냄새와 같은 관능평가의 결과도 연어 fillet 근육과 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과로 미루어 보아 연어 가공 부산물인 frame 유래 근육은 연어 가공소재로 재이용 가능하리라 판단되었다.

반응표면법을 이용한 마그네슘 암레스트 프레임의 최적설계 연구 (A Study of Optimal Design for Mg Armrest Frame by using Response Surface Method)

  • Magnesium has a long tradition of use as a lightweight material in the field of automotive industry. This paper presents the design optimization process of Mg armrest frame to minimize its weight by replacing the steel frame. formerly, the analysis of steel armrest frame was peformed to determine the design specifications for Mg armrest frame. The initial design of Mg armrest frame was carried out by topological optimization technique. After six types of design variables and four types of response variables were defined, DOE(Design of Experiment) and RSM (Response Surface Method) were applied in order to measure sensitivity of design variables and realize optimization through regression model. After design optimization, the weight of the optimized Mg armrest frame was reduced by about 3% compared to the initial design of the Mg frame and was decreased by 41.7% in comparison with that of the steel frame. Some prototypical armrest frames were also made by die casting process and tested. The results were satisfying for its design specifications.

  • 본 논문에서는 동일 대역에서 동시에 전 이중 통신을 하기 위한 프레임 구조를 사용하는 터보 등화기를 결합한 SSD (Simultaneous Single band Duplex) 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 자기 간섭 신호를 보다 효율적으로 제거하기 위하여 프레임 구조를 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 송수신 프레임 구조를 사용할 경우의 시스템의 특성을 분석하기 위하여 프레임 구조를 사용하지 않는 시스템과 성능을 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과로 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 프레임 구조를 사용하였을 경우, 프레임 구조를 사용하지 않았을 경우보다 더 좋은 성능을 내며, 프레임 구조를 사용하는 제안하는 시스템은 더 적은 터보 등화기의 전역 반복으로 프레임 구조를 사용하지 않은 시스템과 유사한 성능을 낼 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.

Probabilistic seismic demand assessment of self-centering concrete frames under mainshock-aftershock excitations

  • This paper investigates the effect of aftershocks on the seismic performance of self-centering (SC) prestressed concrete frames using the probabilistic seismic demand analysis methodology. For this purpose, a 4-story SC concrete frame and a conventional reinforced concrete (RC) frame are designed and numerically analyzed through nonlinear dynamic analyses based on a set of as-recorded mainshock-aftershock seismic sequences. The peak and residual story drifts are selected as the demand parameters. The probabilistic seismic demand models of the SC and RC frames are compared, and the SC frame is found to have less dispersion of peak and residual story drifts. The results of drift demand hazard analyses reveal that the SC frame experiences lower peak story drift hazards and significantly reduced residual story drift hazards than the RC frame when subjected to the mainshocks only or the mainshock-aftershock sequences, which demonstrates the advantages of the SC frame over the RC frame. For both the SC and RC frames, the influence of as-recorded aftershocks on the drift demand hazards is small. It is shown that artificial aftershocks can produce notably increased drift demand hazards of the RC frame, while the incremental effect of artificial aftershocks on the drift demand hazards of the SC frame is much smaller. It is also found that aftershock polarity does not influence the drift demand hazards of both the SC and RC frames.

볼트체결을 이용한 하이브리드 자전거 모노코크 프레임 개발 프로세스 (Development Process of Monocoque Frame for Hybrid Bicycle using Bolt Fastening)

  • This paper presents the development process for a bicycle monocoque frame using bolt fastening. Traditionally, bicycle frames have been constructed with metal tubes joined at their ends by welding. These frames have been brazed or soldered onto metal lugs, forming the frame. Because stress loads become greatest at the joint of the bicycle tube frame, joint construction strongly influences frame design and construction. To avoid the inherent problems of material discontinuity at frame joints, numerous designers have attempted to reduce or eliminate the number of joints in tube frames. Nevertheless, the manufacture of high quality, reliable, one-piece and jointless frames has proven difficult and expensive. In this study, a new monocoque frame adapted to a hybrid bike is proposed. The advantage of the monocoque frame, is theat is has a rechargeable battery system that is built into the frame; as a result, the emotional quality for the customer is improved. In order to estimate the design compatibility compared with that of tube frames, structural analysis is performed using finite element method. A prototype based on a modified design has also been made and stability testing has been carried out.

The Effect of Hangul Font on Reading Speed in the Computer Environment

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Hangul font on reading speed when texts are displayed on the computer screen. Background: Reading performance is influenced by fonts. However, there are few studies of Hangul font from a cognitive perspective. Fonts could affect reading performance directly and indirectly, interacting with other visual-perceptual factors such as size, word spacing, and line spacing. Method: In experiment 1, two variables were manipulated; a frame condition(square frame non-square frame) and a stroke condition(serif sans-serif). According to each condition, one of the four fonts was applied to the texts. The height of the four fonts was controlled. The participants were asked to read aloud the presented texts. In experiment 2, the non-square frame fonts were adjusted to have approximately the same size, width, letter spacing, and word spacing as the square frame fonts. The experimental design and task used in experiment 2 were identical with experiment 1. Results: In general, reading speed was faster in the square frame fonts than in the non-square frame fonts. The reading speed was not significantly different across stroke conditions. Conclusion: The frame of Hangul font significantly influenced reading speed. These results suggest that the type of Hangul font is a factor to affect reading performance. Application: The frame of fonts should be considered in designing of new fonts. The square frame fonts should be the preferred choice to enhance legibility.
