Udo Island, some 3 km off the coast of Sungsan Peninsula at the eastern promontory of Cheju Island, occurs in such a regular pattern on the sequences which reprent an excellent example of an eruptive cycle. The island comprises a horseshoe-shaped tuff cone, a nested cinder cone on the crater floor, and a lava delta which extends over northwest from the moat between two cones. The volcanic sequences suggest volcanic processes that start with emergent Surtseyan eruption, progress through Strombolian eruption and end with lava effusion followed by reworking of smooth tephra on the tuff cone. Eruptive environment and hydrology of vent area in the Udo tuff cone are poorly constrained because the stratigraphic units under the tuff cone are unknown. It is thoughl, however, that the tuff cone could be mainly emergent because the present cone deposits show no evidence of marine reworking, and standing body of sea water could play a great role. The emergent volcano is characterized by distinctive steam-explosivity that results primarily from a bulk interaction between rapidly ascending magma and a highly mobile slurry. The sea water gets into the vent by flooding accross or through the top or breach of tephra cone. Udo tuff cone was constructed from Surtseyan eruption which went into with tephra finger jetting activities in the early stage, late interspersed with continuous uprush activities and proceeded to only continuous uprush activities in the last. When the enclosure of the vent by a long-lived tephra barrier would prevent the flooding and thus allow the vent to dry out, the Surtseyan eruption ceased to transmit into Strombolian activities, which constructed a cinder cone on the crater floor of the tuff cone. The Strombolian eruption ceased when magma in the conduit gradually became depleted in gas. In the case of Udo, the last magmatic activity was Hawaiian-type (and/or fountain) which accumulated basalt lava delta. And then the loose tephra of the tuff cone reworked over the moat lava and the northeastern flank.

We developed embedded inductors in MCM-D substrate for RF applications. The increasing demand for high density packaging was the driving forces to the development of MCM-D technology. Most of these development efforts have been focused on high performance digital circuits. However, recently there is a great need fur mixed mode circuits with a combination of digital, analog and microwave devices. Mixed mode modules often have a large number of passive components that are connected to a small number of active devices. Integration of passive components into the high density MCM substrate becomes desirable to further reduce cost, size, and weight of electronic systems while improving their performance and reliability. The proposed MCM-D substrate was based on Cu/photosensitive BCB multilayer and Ti/Cu is used to form the interconnect layer. Seed metal was formed with 1000 $\AA$ Ti/3000 $\AA$ Cu by sputtering method and main metal was formed with 3 $\mu\textrm{m}$ Cu by electrical plating method. The multi-turn sprial inductors were designed in coplanar fashion. This paper describe the manufacturing process of integrated inductors in MCM-D substrate and the results of electrical performance test.
The purpose of this paper is to explore the characteristics of a digital culture, its negative effects, especially automatism of perception, a poetic strategy against automatism of perception and the utility of poetry including the therapeutic function of poetry. The new technologies offer us various experience, great opportunities and rosy future by freeing us from boring and laborious tasks, and difficult decisions. Through the excessive and habitual use of new technologies, we may become too dependent on machines, losing our thinking abilities, sensibility, perception and creativity. Therefore, we need poetry to recover the sensation of life and make us feel things. Reading poetry allows us to look into someone else's soul and cultivate the ability to empathize. As a healing fountain, poetry leads us to a way for a change of heart, a recovery of psychic health and universal love through perfect communion in ourselves and in society. Furthermore we need a systematic and in-depth study of digital poetry as well as traditional poetry.
Purpose: To examine the effect of the solution-focused group counseling program on the nursing students' problem-solving capacity. Methods: The research design was one-group pretest-posttest design in quasi-experimental research. The subjects were 16 sophomore nursing students being in K university located in D city, Korea. The period of this research was from January 9 to February 20, 2002, from January 10 to February 21, 2003. The group counseling program that was developed by Kim, Hyeon Mi (2001) on the basis of the fundamental principles of solution-focused therapy of de Shazer, et al. (1986) and the solution-focused group counseling process proposed by Selekman (1991), LaFountain, et al. (1996) and Metcalf (1998) was used after being modified and complemented for the nursing students. The group counseling was carried out six times for 120 minutes per week. The instruments used for this study were the Problem Solving Inventory developed by Heppner and Petersen (1982) and Scaling question. Collected data were analyzed by paired t-test with SPSS program. Results: 1) Problem solving capacity increased after solution-focused group counseling program, but a significant difference was not revealed(t=0.835, p=0.057). 2) The scores of self-confidence with the problem-solving were significantly increased when it was compared with the 1st and the 6th(t=3.587, p=0.001). Conclusion: It seems that the solution-focused group counseling program should be considered as an effective nursing intervention program for the nursing students by improving self-confidence with the problem-solving. As a results, this study suggests that the specific techniques used in the solution focused therapy should be applied actively in areas of counseling and communication training for the nursing students and nurses.
The purpose of this study is to configure the spaces and elements of the roof-garden plan that users regard as important, and to investigate their preferred spaces and facilities, ultimately providing basic information for the planning of user-directed roof gardens for local residents. A questionnaire survey was used as the research method, targeting roof-garden users in the L department store of Jeollabuk-do. A total of 225 people responded to the questionnaire, and 223 of them were used for this study. The collected data was analyzed in SPSS ver.18.0, using frequency, percentage, t-test, and one way ANOVA. The respondents preferred rest space the most, followed by the convenient space, landscaping and green space, and play and exercise space. Teenage students preferred the pool and artificial spaces, such as a fountain, and planned convenient spaces and rest spaces, such as a playground. Cafes and restaurants, chairs and tables, and walking trails should be considered for single women in their twenties. Due to the high population of married couples in their thirties, the preference for play facilities and safety facilities was higher than in other groups. The well-educated population in their forties, when viewed from their preference for landscaping and green space, requires the opportunity to rest in nature. The results of this study cannot be generalized since the study was directed at roof-garden users in a department store in Jeollabuk-do. However, it is possible to provide specific information about the user-directed roof-garden plan, since the study was analyzed together with various user variables.

Recently, park usage for environmental education has gained popularity in Seoul. Therefore this study was performed by analyzing the status and problems of nature classrooms in neighborhood parks and citizen's parks that are located in residential areas in Seoul, and then by suggesting improved methods and user programs. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1) 18 out of 281 neighborhood parks and citizen's parks have nature classrooms in Seoul. Facilities of nature classroom are comprised of direction signs, plant name card, pond, pavilion, pergola, bench, green house, waste baskets, lighting, drinking fountain and others. However, they have many problems in terms of quality. Nature classrooms were classified into three types according to their location in each park. Among the three types, the most popular type was the one that is a part of a park A Total of 479 species of plant (155 species in tree, 324 species in herb) were planted in nature classrooms. There are many kinds of environmental education user programs, but these are not connected with the nature classrooms. Most nature education programs in nature classrooms were self-guided. 2) The Problems that appeared were the featureless place composition, a lack of programs related to nature classrooms, access restriction to certain natured areas, and so on. 3) Finally, this study suggests some solutions to the problems of nature classrooms in urban parks. The solutions include full access to the parks, the creation of diverse theme, and setting up interesting panel and leaflets in order to encourage more active self-guided education.

The purpose of this study is to analyse six different factors of water space that influence interior landscape architecture of officers and commercial spaces. Six different factors of water space that influence interior landscape architecture are the height of the water space, the design form, the blending with the location environment, location, general satisfaction with the water space, and general satisfaction with whole space. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Water space of commercial space was bigger than office space. The satisfaction is the highest in 0∼0.6M(B2) of office space and 3.5M(C6) of commercial space. The cascade form in the office space and large water volume design in commercial areas, which supplies abundant sound and water volume, were the highest. 2. In the analysis of preferences, the design form and the general design of the office space influences satisfaction levels. The height of the water space, and a combination of other factors influence general satisfaction. Water space influences commercial areas in higher degrees. 3. The items were most desired or satisfactory for interior landscape architecture were a cascade, water fall, and small water fountain. 4. A place introduced with water space had higher satisfaction levels. Water space produces higher than general satisfaction and indicates water, space alone cannot make general interior space satisfactory, although it can make interior landscape architecture space satisfactory. 5. There is more general satisfaction in commercial space than in office space. 6. The design of water space influences overall satisfaction: a rest area of office space needs an impressive and aggressive approach, while the office space should harmonize with its surroundings, as a commercial space.
This study investigates the examples of memorials in which participants can communicate and interact. Memorials as an urban public space provide various information and experiences to the visitors. The purpose of this study is to investigate the types of participants' experience and the characteristics of memorial space. The 9 examples of the memorials are selected and analyzed by the experience type of participants. This study summarizes the characteristics of spatial representation of memorials as follow; first, the interactions and communications of participants are main considerations in designing memorials. This study defines three types of participants' experience in memorials as educational, emotional and daily urban experiences. Second, the memorial space providing educational experience has narrative characteristics which are explanatory, representational, hierarchical and figurative. Memorials represent historical events and individuals in figurative ways. Participants in memorials learn the event, mourn for the dead and cure the grief through walking the guided route. Third, the memorial space providing emotional experience is indeterminate and open-ended characteristics which are contemplative, symbolic, and abstractive. While participants try to find the way to walk through and understand the meaning of the abstract forms by themselves, they interface the event and the victims in private and individual ways. Fourth, the memorial space providing daily urban experience is the familiar urban facilities embedded remembrance such as memorial square, bridge and fountain. Symbolism of memorials and effectiveness of urban facilities are engaged into the memorial design. They have functional, participatory, interactive and recreational characteristics. People experience the memorials involuntarily and casually during their daily lives. The memorials with urban facilities can be related to the present and the future of the city as well as the past of the city.
While screening indigenous prokaryotic species in Republic of Korea in 2017, a total of 17 bacterial strains assigned to the phylum Bacteroidetes were isolated from a variety of environmental habitats including water of fountain, tidal flat, plant root, soil, the gut of Russian grayling butterfly, ginseng field, seawater, lagoon and seashore sand. From the 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity of more than 98.7% and the formation of a robust phylogenetic clade with the closest species, it was found that the 17 strains belong to independent and recognized bacterial species. There has been no official report that the identified 17 species have been previously isolated in the Republic of Korea. Thus, 15 species in 10 genera of one family in the order Flavobacteriales, one species in one genus of one family in the order Cytophagales, and one species in one genus of one family in the order Sphingobacteriales are proposed as unrecorded species of the phylum Bacteroidetes found in the Republic of Korea. Gram reaction, colony and cell morphology, basic phenotypic characteristics, isolation source, taxonomic status, strain ID and other information are described in the species descriptions.

The lithographic process depends on a satisfactory ink-in-water emulsion being formed during printing and the speed of wet presses makes the choice of fountain solution vitally important as the ink and fount must react quickly to form a stable emulsion. Ink and water come into contact with each other on the rolls of the press and are forced together in the roll nips. The water is not soluble in the ink since it is slightly fat. Instead, an emulsion is formed, a heterogeneous mass consisting of small water drops mixed into the ink, if the water feed is too great. This emulsification can affect the properties of an off-set ink and negatively affect the printability. So we investigated the effects of the emulsification of phenol free heat-set ink and existing heat-set ink on printed quality, such as amount of ink transfer, printed density, print-through and uniformity. We used Duke emulsification tester for the emulsification of inks, and used IGT printability tester for printed quality. The printed quality were measured by densitometer and were evaluated by the image analysis system. Compared to conventional printing ink, phenol-free ink showed better results of the printability at the emulsification.
