  • This research is to explore the direction of circus education in Korea by the case study of Circus Professional Training Program, which was held by Seoul Foundation Arts and Culture for the first time in Korea. The study was conducted via interviews of three participants who completed Circus Professional Training Program to comprehend their experiences of participating the programs in Korea and France. Result of this study revealed that the participants were able to set their goals to jump up, and expand their movements through the program that was held in Korea. Experiencing the great cirus world in France, they showed eagerness to go back and get more training. Despite of these positive effects, they have faced a difficulty how to continue their leaning and goals for the circus in the absence of circus facilities and places to practice. The system that they can take the next step is not ready yet, either. There should be some solutions to these problems. In order to develop the circus education, they hoped that Seoul Foundation Arts and Culture continues circus education with consistency. In addition to that, many national and circus educational organizations should be activated to establish the circus professional educational system.

  • Academic medicine is built from a foundation of education, research, and patient care. Since good patient care results from the application of medical research and continuous education, these three components cannot be separated for medical development to occur. In Korea, many obstacles hinder the achievement of academic medicine, such as an inefficient medical delivery system, limitations of primary care, low insurance prices, and no long-term health care plan. Medical education has changed to outcome-based education, but presented temporal integration status. Governance of healthcare research is not centralized, and Korea is awarded relatively fewer grants than other countries. Medical professors have reached a burnout state due to patient care responsibilities in addition to research and education duties. Many medical systems, including the medical delivery system and insurance problems, may contribute to distrust between doctors and patients. The government is not involved in a long-term health care policy. The multitude of factors mentioned here are hindering the achievement of academic medicine in Korea.

  • In the field of artificial intelligence education, discussions on the direction of artificial intelligence education are actively underway, and it is necessary to establish a foundation for future information education. It is necessary to design a creative convergence teaching-learning and evaluation method. Although AI experience coding education has been applied, the evaluation stage is insufficient. In this paper, we propose an evaluation system that can verify the validity of the proposed education model to find a way to supplement the existing learning module. The core components of this proposed system are Assessment-Factor, Self-Diagnosis, Item Bank, and Evaluation Result modules, which are designed to enable system access according to the roles of administrator, instructors and learners. This system enables individualized learning through online and offline connection.

  • This study was conducted to provide a foundation for housewife-consumer education programs appropriate in the information society. For this purpose, the authors reviewed existing literature, analysed consumer counseling cases, and conducted focus group interviews. The need for housewife-consumer education was illustrated, and desirable educational contents and methods were proposed. The existing housewife-consumer education programs did not work effectively because the contents were too general, and mostly structured with non-interactive one-way lectures. More effective programs should be designed to accomodate the educational purpose and contents which fitted with the specific needs of housewives as the representatives of the family consumer units. It should also take the family life cycle stages into consideration. The education programs would work better when they were oriented more toward actively participating, locally-based spontaneous small-groups.
