Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational satisfaction of trainees in implementing violence prevention education by workers in the emergency room and insufficient education. Methods: The participants of the study were 65 emergency room employees in S area. Results: First, education was helpful if you actively participated in education, and if you did not actively participate in education, education was shown to be of little or no help (χ2(p)= .000 p-value<.05). Second, formal education (53.3%) was identified as the problem of preventive education currently in place of education, and statistics show that the biggest problem with applying emergency room violence prevention education at worksites is a lack of active support (41.7%) from the police and hospitals. Third, 48.3 percent of the respondents thought that the education methods invited experts were appropriate for emergency room violence prevention education. Conclusion: The problem with the current emergency room violence prevention education is that it is necessary to establish a connection program between hospitals and police stations and give lectures by experts in violence prevention education to apply the contents of the educational curriculum in the workplace with one time and formal education.

Usability is playing a more important, role in interactive products or systems (e. g,, information technology Products, computer software) development, and it has become a primary factor in determining the acceptability and consequent success of the products. This study investigates some different techniques and methods to evaluate the usability of the interactive products or system . Various evaluation methods have been tried ranging from formal to informal and empirical techniques. The classification of the usability evaluation methods(UEMs) and comparisons between these evaluation methods are presented. Some issues raised by the UEMs are also discussed. In addition, problems of selecting appropriate usability evaluation methods are discussed.
Previous research on elderly care in rural areas has focused on inter-generational support, ignoring the possibility of elderly care among community members in the rural areas of Korea. This study attempts to explore the roles and potentials of community-based elderly care in rural areas where nearby family or formal services are unavailable. For this purpose, data was collected from the elderly in three Korean rural villages using qualitative case study methods. Each village was studied as a separate case study and in-depth interviews with the elderly in each village were conducted. All interviews were tape-recorded and transcribed verbatim for the analysis. The data was analyzed using the Reflective Qualitative Analytic Technique. Results showed that rural elderly in all three villages had lunch, talked, and played together; almost everyday in the winter. However, the nature of care among rural elderly varied depending on the characteristics of the rural community (the traditional rural, the rural mixed with the urban, and the neighboring rural with the urban). Specifically, the use of mutual aids (providing food, repairing housing, and checking personal safety by telephone or visit, etc.) was most consistent at the traditional rural village. Because both the rural village mixed with the urban and the neighboring rural village with urban have better access to many aids and programs from formal institutions, mutual aids among community members decreased compared with the traditional rural village. However, regular group activities such as sports, dancing or debate help to provide pleasure and integrate the community. These results suggest that community relationships as a substitution for social support provide by family or formal services can be utilized in rural areas.

Purpose : To analyze organization variables related to nursing between the doctors' strike and normal periods. Methods : The sample consisted of 1,220(600 for doctors' strike and 620 for normal periods) nurses working in 5 hospitals. Six instruments were used for data collection including Job Activity Scale(JAS; Laschinger, 1994), Organization Relationship Scale(ORS; Laschinger, 1994), Interpersonal Support Scale(developed by Firth et al., 1986 and revised by Ahn(2000), Self-efficacy Scale(Riggs & Knight, 1994),Job Satisfaction Scale(Slavitts et al., 1978), and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire(OCQ; Mowday et al., 1979). Results : There were significant differences among variables(i.e., formal power, interpersonal support, self-efficacy and organizational commitment)between doctors' strike and normal periods. The formal power was high during the normal period, however interpersonal support, self-efficacy and organizational commitment were high during the doctors' strike. Conclusion : Interpersonal support, self-efficacy and job satisfaction were change by working conditions, but organizational commitment was not changed by working conditions.
The formal specification methods with probability have been demanded in the area of fault real-time systems, in order to specify the uncertainty that the systems can encounter during their execution due to various environmental factors. This paper presents a new formal method with probability. namely Probabilistic Abstract Timed Machine (PATM), in order to analyze and predict system's behavior in dynamical environmental changes, This method classifies the factors into two classes: the variable and the constant. The analysis of system's behavior is performed on the probabilistic reachability graph generated from the ATM specification for the system. The analysis can predict any possibility that the behavior may not satisfy some safety requirements of the system, indicate which variable factors cause such satisfaction, and further recover from this unsatisfying fault state by fixing the variable factors. Consequently the reliability to the fault real-time systems can be improved.
An ontology as the core element of Semantic Web is a formal specification of a conceptualization of shared domain knowledge. The use of well-defined ontologies can increase the quality of interoperable information systems in the area of Semantic Web. However, in practice, it is not easy to develop high-quality ontologies which have no errors. Therefore, with methodologies for ontology design, various methods or tools for ontology analysis supporting for error-detection might be very helpful for ontology developers. In this paper, we propose a novel approach for analyzing the core constructs of ontology based on the Formal Concept Analysis and develop a tool that supports error-checking ontologies. Our approach can serve not only as a guidance to modify the existing ontologies, but also as a valuable tool in developing high-quality ontologies.
Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the formal education program provided by the Korean government for care workers for frail elderly people. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey in which 438 certified care workers who had completed the education program participated. Data were collected from June to October 2009, using a self-report questionnaire consisting of satisfaction with, and understanding of the education program. Results: The participants had a mean age of 46.7 yr, 87.9% were female and 58.2% were high school graduates. For the theory part of the education, the highest score for understanding was for 'supporting household & activities of daily living' while the lowest score for understanding was for 'care for death and dying'. For the practical education, the highest score for understanding was for 'talking with the client' and the lowest score was for 'first aid & basic life support'. There was a significant difference in satisfaction and understanding of the theoretical and practical parts according to educational level. Conclusion: Continuing education programs are needed for care workers for elders, both in the theoretical and practical areas. Also the content of programs should address the weak points of this formal education program.

Background: Tobacco use among youth is a major public health problem. Youth outside of formal school settings are often understudied but may be at increased risk. Materials and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out among 326 young people aged 15-24 years in four randomly selected motor parks in Lagos state. Interviewer-administered questionnaires were used to collect data. Results: The mean age of the respondents was $21.0{\pm}2.3yrs$. Many 252 (77.3%) dropped out before the end of the third year of secondary schooling. The majority were aware that active (78.2%), and passive smoking (77.3%) are harmful to health. Nearly two-thirds of the respondents disagreed with an outright ban of cigarettes (63.2%) and restriction of cigarette sales to persons below 18 years (67.9%) while 254 (66.8%) supported a ban on tobacco smoking in enclosed public places. One hundred and fifty (46.0%) respondents had experimented with smoking of which 106 (32.5%) had progressed to become current smokers. Half of the current smokers, 54 (50.9%), felt the need for a cigarette first thing in the morning. A multivariate analysis for smoking initiation, showed that for every increasing year of age, respondents were 1.08 times more likely to have initiated cigarette smoking; males and respondents who lived alone or with peers were 2.34 times and 1.77 times more likely to have initiated smoking respectively; those who consume alcohol and marijuana were 7.27 and 1.89 times respectively more likely to have initiated smoking while those who consumed alcohol were 6.17 times more likely to be current smokers.

The traditional roles of leaders are to influence members and motivate them to achieve shared goals in organizations. However, leaders such as top managers and chief executive officers, in practice, do not always directly meet or influence other company members. In fact, they tend to have the greatest impact on their members through formal speeches, company procedures, and the like. As such, official speech is directly related to the motivation of company employees. In an official speech, not only the contents of the speech, but also the voice characteristics of the speaker have an important influence on listeners, as the different vocal characteristics of a person can have different effects on the listener. Therefore, according to the voice characteristics of a leader, the cognition of the members may change, and, the degree to which the members are influenced and motivated will be different. This study identifies how members may perceive a speech differently according to the different voice characteristics of leaders in formal speeches. Further, different perceptions about voices will influence members' cognition of the leader, for example, in how trustworthy they appear. The study analyzed recorded speeches of leaders, and extracted features of their speaking style through digital speech signal analysis. Then, parameters were extracted and analyzed by the time domain, frequency domain, and spectrogram domain methods. We also analyzed the parameters for use in Natural Language Processing. We investigated which leader's voice characteristics had more influence on members or were more effective on them. A person's voice characteristics can be changed. Therefore, leaders who seek to influence members in formal speeches should have effective voice characteristics to motivate followers.
