폐자원 및 바이오매스를 이용한 에너지자립 마을 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Construction of Zero Energy Village using Waste and Biomass)

  • 본 연구는 국내에서 추진중인 에너지자립도 제로마을의 구축을 위하여 다양한 바이오매스의 활용방안에 대하여 소개하였고, 각 지역에서 발생하는 바이오매스의 활용가능성을 구체적으로 구현하고자 마을단위에서 음식물류폐기물, 가축분뇨, 각종 임업 및 산림폐기물의 생성량 및 그 현황을 조사, 분석하였으며, 마을단위별 추정 에너지량을 바탕으로 에너지 자립마을 조성을 위한 3가지 시나리오를 설정하였으며, 이를 기준으로 행정단위별 100% 에너지 자립마을의 크기 및 규모를 분석하였다.

Carbon Storage in an Age-Sequence of Temperate Quercus mongolica Stands in Central Korea

  • This study was conducted to estimate carbon storage in Quercus mongolica stands based on stand age class, and to provide basic data on the carbon balance of broad-leaved forests of Korea. The research was conducted at the experimental forest of Kangwon National University, Hongcheon-gun County, Gangwon-do Province, Korea. Three plots were set up in each of three Q. mongolica forest stands (III, V, and VII) to estimate the amount of carbon stored in Q. mongolica aboveground vegetation, coarse woody debris (CWD), organic layer, mineral soil, and litterfall. The carbon storage of the aboveground vegetation increased with an increase in stand age, while the carbon storage ratio of stems decreased. The carbon storage of the organic layer, CWD, and litterfall did not show any significant differences among age classes. In addition, the carbon concentration and storage in the forest soils decreased with depth, and there were no differences among age classes for any soil horizon. Finally, the total carbon storage in the III, V, and VII stands of Q. mongolica were 132.2, 241.1, and $374.4Mg\;C\;ha^{-1}$, respectively. In order to predict and effectively manage forest carbon dynamics in Korea, further study on deciduous forests with other tree species in different regions will be needed.

문헌조사에 기반한 OWAS, RULA 및 REBA의 연구 현황 및 비교 (Review and Comparison of OWAS, RULA and REBA Based on Literature Survey)

  • This study aims to review observational methods for assessing postural loads such as OWAS, RULA and REBA, and to compare them, based on the literature survey. The literature was searched through academic database of ScienceDirect using the key words of observational methods, OWAS, RULA and REBA. The results exhibited that of the thee methods, RULA was cited in the literature and applied to manufacturing industries the most frequently. Although it has been known that RULA is appropriate for assessing upper body postures, it has been applied to healthcare and social work activities, agriculture, forestry, fishing, construction, mining and quarrying, which require unstable lower limb postures. The countries where more number of relevant studies have been carried out were USA, India, Brazil, UK, etc. It was recommended that of the three techniques, RULA may be better for assessing postural loads, because it evaluated postural loads more highly, irrespective of industry, work type and lower limb postures, and its assessment results had higher agreement rate with experts' assessments than those of OWAS and REBA. It is expected that the results of this study will be used as a guideline for selecting an appropriate observational method.

Two New Species in the Family Cunninghamellaceae from China

  • The species within the family Cunninghamellaceae are widely distributed and produce important metabolites. Morphological studies along with a molecular phylogeny based on the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and large subunit (LSU) of ribosomal DNA revealed two new species in this family from soils in China, that is, Absidia ovalispora sp. nov. and Cunninghamella globospora sp. nov. The former is phylogenetically closely related to Absidia koreana, but morphologically differs in sporangiospores, sporangia, sporangiophores, columellae, collars, and rhizoids. The latter is phylogenetically closely related to Cunninghamella intermedia, but morphologically differs in sporangiola and colonies. They were described and illustrated.

  • The main purpose of the study is to analyze the features of ensuring information security in the system of public administration of the constant development of the region. The actualization of the research topic is because the information has become a powerful means of manipulating the public and individual consciousness, as well as a real weapon used in new types of conflicts, confrontations, and confrontations. Creating opportunities for everyone to access information sources, developing the ability to use it, and at the same time protecting people from dirty information flows create a kind of subject-research field, one of the most relevant aspects of which is the problem of forming and implementing information security policy at the state, public and civil levels. The research methodology involved the use of theoretical and scientific methods. As a result of the study, the key features of ensuring information security in the system of public management of the continuous development of the region of the EU countries were identified.

Alleviating Effects of Nitric Oxide on Cadmium Toxicity in White Poplar (Populus alba)

  • Cadmium (Cd) is non-essential heavy metal that negatively affects plant metabolism. Nitric oxide (NO) is an increasingly important molecule for plant metabolism that makes signaling. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the alleviating effect of sodium nitroprusside (SNP) application as NO donor in white poplar (Populus alba) under Cd stress conditions. SNP and without SNP treatments increased the Cd accumulation in root tissue. While photosynthetic pigments (Chl a, Chl b, Chl a+b, and carotenoid) content decreased by only Cd application, SNP+Cd application decreased the rate of photosynthetic pigments reduction. When the results of Cd and Cd+SNP applications were evaluated for mineral (Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu) uptake, it was found that the positive effect of SNP was heterogeneously affected. Depending on SNP application, it was found that malondialdehyde (MDA) amount decreased in leaf in 100 µM Cd applications while hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) amount decreased in 100 and 500 µM Cd applications. When antioxidant enzyme activities were examined, it was found that catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) enzyme activities increased with 100 µM SNP applications under all Cd applications. As a result, it was found that SNP application under Cd stress generally supports physiological processes positively in white poplar, suggesting that NO molecule plays important alleviating roles in plant metabolism.

Resistance of Wood Plastic Composites Having Silica Filler to Subterranean Termite

  • Rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis) has excellent physical and mechanical properties and is one of the most widely used species in Southeast Asia. However, it has poor resistance to subterranean termite attacks due to its high sugar and starch contents. The objective of this study was to evaluate the termite resistance of experimental wood-plastic composite (WPC) panels manufactured from rubberwood flour, polyethylene terephthalate, and silica in three different weight ratios (1/2/7, 1/3/6, and 1/4/5). The panels were exposed to Coptotermes curvignathus subterranean termites in a no-choice test under laboratory conditions based on Indonesian standards. Solid rubberwood used as control samples presented poor resistance, exhibiting 23.1% weight loss due to subterranean termite attack, as indicated by low termite mortality and high wood weight loss. In contrast, the WPC samples demonstrated extreme resistance, with weight loss ranging from 0.19% to 0.23%. Based on the findings of this study, the high termite mortality and overall low mass loss of the samples indicate that such manufactured panels could provide a high level of protection with regard to Indonesian standards.

비파괴 시험에 의한 국산 침엽수 $2{\times}6"$ 구조부재의 등급구분 (Grading of Domestic Softwood $2{\times}6$ Structural Lumber by Non-destructive Test)

  • 국산 침엽수재의 구조재 활용에 필요한 등급구분을 위해 소나무, 잣나무와 낙엽송 $2{\times}6"$ 부재에 대해 초음파를 이용한 비파괴 방법을 적용하였다. 정적 탄성계수와 초음파 시험에 의한 동적 탄성계수의 상관관계를 나타내는 k-factor는 소나무의 경우 1.0602, 잣나무 1.0013, 낙엽송 1.2320로 나타났다. k-factor를 적용할 경우 비파괴방법에 의한 동적 탄성계수 측정에 의해 침엽수 구조부재 등급구분이 가능할 것으로 판단되었다. 기계응력 등급구분에서 소나무는 E9 이상의 등급이 전체의 76%인 반면 잣나무는 E7 이상의 등급이 전체의 85%, 낙엽송은 E11 이상의 등급이 68% 분포하였다. 정적 탄성계수와 휨파괴계수(MOR)의 상관관계도 비교적 높게 나타나 이를 동적 탄성계수로부터 추정한 k-factor와 연계할 경우 초음파 비파괴 등급구분 방법에 의해 국산 침엽수재의 휨강도 성능평가가 가능할 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 일본에서 2004년도에 발행된 산림토목 목제구조물 시공 매뉴얼에 실려 있는 산림토목 목제구조물 설계지침은 총설, 목재의 이용과 특성, 조사, 계획 및 설계 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 이 논문에서는 설계 및 시공에 대하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 설계편에는 목재의 사용 환경과 열화, 구조, 수종의 선정, 치수 표시 등의 통일, 안정성과 강도의 검토, 목재의 강도, 목재의 치수의 허용 폭 등에 대하여 제시되어 있다. 또한 시공편에는 목재의 품질 확보, 방부처리 등의 품질 확인, 목제구조물의 기능 확보 방법, 목재열화의 정기적인 조사방법과 정성적인 판정기준 및 정량적인 조사방법 등에 대하여 설명되어 있다.

  • 일본에서 2004년도에 발행된 산림토목 목제구조물 시공 매뉴얼에 실려 있는 산림토목 목제구조물 설계지침은 총설, 목재의 이용과 특성, 조사, 계획 및 설계 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 이 논문에서는 총설, 목재의 이용과 특성, 조사 및 계획에 대하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 목재의 특성은 목재의 물리 화학적 특성, 환경에의 영향, 심리 생리적인 효과 및 목재의 부후성에 대해 정리되어 있으며, 조사항목은 유수에 의한 영향의 정도, 일사의 정도, 흰개미의 생식 유무, 지표수 및 지하수의 유하 상황, 계류 등에 서식하는 동식물의 상황, 물이용 상황 등이 제시되었다. 또한 계획에서는 목제구조물의 구조와 설치장소, 취급방법, 해당 지역의 목재 간벌재의 이용, 방부처리 등에 대하여 설명되어 있다.
