Climate is one of most important environmental factors on the forest ecosystem. This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of meteorological factors in the forest area and weather stations from July 2015 to June 2016 in Cheuncheon and Hongcheon of Kangwon Province in Korea. The HOBO data logger was installed for meteorological analysis in forests area (site 1 and site 2). The meteorological data from the HOBO data logger compared with meteorological data of the weather station. The meteorological data used for the analysis was monthly mean temperature ($^{\circ}C$), monthly mean minimum temperature ($^{\circ}C$), monthly mean maximum average temperature ($^{\circ}C$), and monthly mean relative humidity (%). As a result of this study, the mean temperature ($^{\circ}C$) of forest area was relatively lower than weather station which is the outside the forest area, and the mean maximum temperature ($^{\circ}C$) of weather station was relatively higher than that of forest area. The mean relative humidity (%) was higher in forest area than weather station.
Currently the forest area is 6,370,000 hectare (ha) which occupies 63.7% in Korea. The forest has good functions such as production of forest products, conservation of national land, prevention of disasters, etc. However constructing houses near the forest area make bad situation like illegal waste incineration by resident. So research subject is forest fire caused by waste incineration place including facility. And this study was conducted about statistical analysis and research analysis of the 100 waste incineration places including facilities at the country town. Statistical analysis shows that March is 27% which percentage is the highest number of forest fire in 10 years' average. The number of forest fire caused by waste incineration is 45 which is the third highest number in the fire statistic. The distance between waste incineration place including facility and forest area is 30m, 40m and 50m. That 40m (36%) is the most common distance from forest area. The types of waste incineration are ground (62%), the temporary facility made with oil drum can (35%) and other made with steel sheet, concrete, etc. The result of this study is that government and local government must conduct the improvement measure to reduce illegal incineration such as waste pickup area made with rain and wind proof type installed near residence, expenses for waste treatment, enlightenment and training, etc. Also considering their age and income are needed for realistic improvement.
Since 1973, we attain a successful achievement of nation-wide afforestation such as a thick forest and heaped-up leaves. However, the higher of the formation density in forest, the more dangerous to be a large-scale forest fire whenever fire occurs. According to the type of forest in the country, 42% of the forest is occupied by conifer forest that are highly flammable, and the distribution of forest age is in a transition period from immature forest to mature one. And the structure is too weak to the forest fire for the occurrence and spread because there are too many scrub and shrub trees in the forest. As a matter of course, it is on the increase of the thinning-forest that can shift the forest structure from a weak on forest fire to a strong one nowaday. In other words, thinning-forest has primary purposes such as the promotion of producing forest trees, production of excellent timbers, and build-up of public forest area. Furthermore, in some reports, the reduction of ladder fuel by eliminating the vertical/horizontal fuel in a forest and ensuring spaces in the forest can decrease the occurrence of forest fire and the risk of spread of burning as by-effect. Therefore, this study is designed to clarify the relation with the risk of forest fire by an on-spat-investigation of the characteristics of forest composition on the thinning and the non-thinning area.
This study analyzed on the area of Samcheok, Kangwondo about forest fire alarming area and enlargement of the area. Then, visible area by unattended watching camera and watchtower for forest fire which were run by Samcheok was cross-checked with geographic information system, and it ould be whether effective on watching the area here the forest fire risk was high enough and also it could be expanded to larger forest fire. The result of study, the visible area by watching facilities only holds for 13.4% of the whole forest fire alarming area, but the forest fire can be observed even though it is occurred in small valley because of smoke and all the forest fire have been occurred in daytime. Therefore, it can be determined that watching area will be extended around 50.3% while the observation radii of watching facilities raise by 4km. However, Samcheok has much greater area of mountain area in compared to any other cities or counties, watching facilities should be installed and run additionally for extinguishing the forest fire from the beginning.

In temperate monsoon regions, extensive shallow landslides triggered by heavy rainfall are recurrent phenomena in mountainous areas. 1,357 landslides over Jinbu area, Korea that totaled 127 km2 were identified from aerial photographs and field survey. We examined characteristics of rainfall-induced shallow landslides and casual factors affecting landslide distribution with respect to topographic and forest settings, and land use. Most landslides occurred in the study area were the results of a complex combination of precondition, preparatory factors and triggering factors. Cumulative rainfall and high intensity rainfall during short period of time made the study area very sensitive to landslides and played as catalysts to enable other factors including topographic and forest settings, and land use to act more effectively. In addition, some landslides at lower elevation involved channel incision or bank erosion influenced by land use changes such as deforestation and intensification of agriculture surrounding riparian forests or hillslopes. The results suggest that most of landslide were triggered by heavy rainstorms while topographic, forest settings, and land use affected landslide distribution occurred in the study area.
In Juam basin, the ratio of non-point pollution source among pollutant loading of basin was significantly high, since the utilization level of land was high. In addition, the most pollutants were not treated and flowed out. In this study, the correlation between non-point source pollutants from the forest area and increasing algae was investigated. 1. Chl-a concentration flowed out to runoff from forest area and stream water was low as $0.1{\sim}20.3{\mu}g/{\ell}$ and $0.1{\sim}9.3{\mu}g/{\ell}$, respectively, and chl-a concentration ($0.1{\sim}28.5{\mu}g/{\ell}$) of branch stream was higher $5{\sim}7$ times than that of runoff from forest area. 2. In correlation between runoff from forest area and Juam lake water, annual chl-a concentration of area front Juam dam was higher twice than forest area. 3. In runoff from forest area within Juam basin, flagellate, green, diatom and blue algae occupied $33.0{\sim}41.7%$, $22.2{\sim}30.8%$, $17.3{\sim}22.5%$ and $13.7{\sim}17.6%$, respectively. 4. In runoff from forest area, both green and diatom algae were maintained constantly irrespectively of season, and flagellate algae dominated since August. 5. In characteristics by forest tree types, four types algae were inhabited in mixed forest, and flagellate algae were higher in conifer and broadleaf forest than in other area. And green algae in herbaceous forest were higher than other area.

The main purpose of this study was to estimate a new regression model to explain the relationship between urban forest and air temperature in summer, 2001. This study consists of two parts: correlation coefficient analysis and regression analysis. According to correlation coefficient analysis, thermal infra-red radiations of the major land use categories found significant difference in each category. However there were no significant relationship between the data (thermal infra-red radiation and NDVI) derived from Landsat-7 ETM+ image and air temperature at Automatic Weather Stations(AWSs). After estimating various regression models for summer air temperature, the final models were chosen. The final regression models consisted of two variables such as forest m and traffic facilities area. The regression models explained over 78% of the variability in air temperatures. The regression models with variables of forest area and traffic facilities area showed that the coefficient of the first variable was even more significant than the second one. However, the negative impact of the traffic facilities area was slightly greater than the positive impact of the forest area. Consequently, the effects of forest area and traffic facilities area were apparent to explain summer air temperature in Seoul. Therefore two policies have the most important implications to mitigate the summer air temperature in Seoul: to expand and to conserve the urban forest; and to change the Oafnc facilities'characteristics. The results from this study are expected to be useful not merely in informing the public that urban forest mitigates summer air temperahne, but in urging the necessity of budgets for trees and managing urban forests. It is recommended that field swey of summer air temperature be Performed for the vadidation of the models. The purpose of this study was to describe the policies and outlooks of the green jobs including the forest area. The Methodology of the study was mainly on literature review and second data used and analyzed to get the result. The findings of the study was the manpower of Green Jobs was 2.5% in 2009, it should be expected to 2.9 percent in 2016, and overall of the green jobs and forest area of the outlooks should be increased from 46 percent to 56 percent in each sector of green and forest area. The climate changes and environmental pollutions would push the conditions of new green jobs in forest area as well as waste-based industry. The suggestions were made based on the study of which one is policy-making should be prepared for creating Green Jobs and the forest area.
Total forest land in Bangladesh is about 2.5 million hectare which is 17% of total land area. Bangladeshi forest is mainly classified into three categories- 1) Hill forest 2) Sal forest and 3) Mangroves. This forest land area is decreasing day by day. But in past decayed due to some policies, the total forest land area is increasing slowly. By this planning both government and the local people in the community are being benefited. This paper mainly discussed about the past, present and future trend of forest condition, forest land uses, sustainable forest planning and forest management.

Because mountain area covers a large proportion of entire country, the forest fire have been an important matter in disaster prevention in Korea. Estimation of damaged area after forest fire would be very important because it would be the basis to make budget or to calculate quantities in the restoration plan for the damaged area. In Korea, the damaged area from forest fire is generally surveyed using GPS. In practice, however, the estimation of damaged area from forest fire have been inaccurate in lots of case due to some problems. Korea Forest Service which is taking charge of prevention of forest fire in Korea is managing a large number of helicopters for forest service on the whole country. So, it would be possible to take snapshots of the damaged area after forest fire from the helicopter using a digital camera. This study aims to establish a suitable method to estimate damaged area after forest fire using snapshots which are taken in the air using a digital camera. So, several approaches were implemented and compared. In future, results of this study could be used in a development of a system for investigation of damages from forest fire using digital photographs.
