The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the way how the image of Korean costume could be introduced into the world fashion market, and appreciated by foreigners. For this purpose. 1 focus on analyzing the works of Lee, Yong-Hee presented in Pret-a-Porter Paris Collection and interpreting the image of Korean costume in her works. I propose some imperative factors essential to promote the participating of Korean costume into the world fashion market. Firstly. the Korean costume should be reevaluated and moderated in a degree, to be acceptable or accessible to foreigners. Secondly, the commerciality is to be stressed in the light of fashion industry dealing with the practical function of the costume. Thirdly, Our open-mindness to other culture would also make our costume to be more prevalent in world fashion market paradoxically. The Seoul Collection in 2000 fall was opened by Korean government on the recognition that the fashion industry is highly productive and helpful not only in cultural basis but in economics.

The purpose of this study were (1) to thumbnail sketch of present general condition of foreigners and international marriage in Korea, (2) to study special trend of international marriage in rural Korea, particularly immigration connected with poverty, and (3) to focus on prospect of the problem of mixed-bloods, especially half blood children in rural Korea. Many of foreigners were treated discriminatingly, for example racial discrimination and wage discrimination. And discrimination to mixed-blood children will be happen in future. They are in a disadvantageous position because of economic status and appearances. Half blood children have korean nationality because one of his parent is korean. When they grow up and reach their the age of puberty and the age of working, they will resist to discrimination in working and marriage. I had examined precedent studies, and class theory in general, and to suggest it is time to looking for way of reduce social cost and way of coexistence.

In order to get the practical suggestions concerning the development of the domestic senior facilities in the rural area, a survey was made in the Philippines and Thailand to grip the policies and programs for senior, by visiting the government institute and senior village facilities. As for the Philippines, Philippine Retirement Authority was attracting investment of foreigners and individuals having Philippine citizenship, by issuing SRRV(the Special Resident Retiree's Visa), and as for Thailand, the Thai Longstay Management Company Limited was providing membership system for the abode of foreigners. In case of the domestic residence for seniors, it is suggested that the development of the senior housing community be designed in accordance with the diversified purposes of residence; that is, the prime concern of the community should be reflected on the characteristics of the retiree group (such as the lifestyle, health situation, etc), and at the same time, special concern also be showed on managing the community club house facilities, and keeping the amicable relations between the retiree residents and the local villagers.

Recently, the movement to globalization, internationalization, and industralization caused rapid increase of foreigners staying in our country. Therefore the crimes related with them are definitely increasing too. In this paper, real figures of foreigner related crime problems and actual conditions of foreign affair police division were presented to articulate countermeasures for healing these problems.

The objective of this article is to examine the structure of the composition of the population in rural area for the last 45 years, and to forecast mid and long term structure of the population in the near future. Moreover, forecast has been done whether the rapid increase by the inflow of foreigners has any offset on the structural change in rural population. According to the research result, the rural area is experiencing a rapid decrease in population, a rapid increase in the percentage of the aged, and foreigners. To resolve the problematic situation mentioned above, some effective counterplan has to be considered by all agencies concerned.

The two purposes of this study were to understand service encounters in Korean restaurants by foreigners living in Korea and to examine the effect of service encounters on the customer's emotion feelings, customer satisfaction, and behavioral intention. Based on the reactions of a total of 614 foreigners obtained by empirical research, this study reviews the reliability and fitness of the research model, and verifies a total of 4 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model (SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data: ${\chi}^2$ 683.466 (df=216), CMIN/df 3.164, RMR 0.095, GFI 0.911, AGFI 0.886, NFI 0.933, CFI 0.953, and RMSEA 0.059. As a result of empirical analysis, the physical environment, interactions with employees, and interactions with other customers were quantified as service encounter factors in Korean restaurants. These factors were indicated to have an influence on customer's emotion feelings. Also, customer's emotion feelings had a positive influence on customer satisfaction and behavioral intent. Limitations and future research are also discussed.

It is expected that the International Expo which will be held at July 10-13, 2010, in Shanghai, China, will stimulate the growth of hotel industry in the city. The aim of the present study is to examine in advance the preference of a large number of tourists, from domestic areas as well as foreign countries, to come to Shanghai over the restaurants of 5 star-level hotels and to provide the hotel interior design related industry with the resulting data, before the upcoming Expo takes place. To this end, we selected 22 Chinese restaurants of medium-sized 5 star hotels in Shanghai to survey opinions of the customers on their interior design. A questionnaire was prepared and distributed to a total of 30 native Chinese people and 30 foreigners, and their responses were analyzed using the SPSS program. As a result, we were able to evaluate the similar and different preference of the natives versus foreigners on the elements of the restaurant interior design. In 2010, the number of public and business people to visit hotel restaurants in Shanghai will increase, in consequence of the International Expo. Taking this into account, our result suggests that a design style combining 'naturality', 'modernity', and 'elegancy' to each other in harmony be considered for the interior design of the 5 star-level hotels in the city. On one hand, a restaurant could be designed primarily considering the taste which is specific to either native Chinese people or foreigners, based on their different fondness demonstrated in our study. On the other hand, a priority on the design could be given to their similar preference targeting both sides.

21th is the century of culture. So each country create new culture from tradition, and at the hub, there is Rapid development of network which makes these things to be able. Also, Korea selected Han-Bok as a symbol of Korea culture, and also Han-Bok internationally. Han-Bok expresses our nation's emotion very well, and also, Han-Bok has universality that can stimulate on world's sensitivity. Consequently, this study will arrange and analyze the records of foreigners' feeling who visited in the period of the opening of a port as a target of our study. This study will offer materials for study in the period of the opening of a port. Also, this study will discover the significance and organization of our clothes. Way to wear it and the beauty of our clothes that we didn't even realize or not mentioned on the record because we were too accustomed to our beauty from the ancient time. So, we would like to be basic study that can make our clothes globally and appeal to world's sensitivity by finding the universality. The result of this study is as follows. First, the items of hat made us be called as a 'world of hat' so, Gat, Galmo(갈모), a women's winter hat(조바위), a fur-lined hood(남바위) and Ayam(아얌) will be obtained the world's focus. Secondly, we checked Belt, breast-tie, rainbow striped sleeves and Pocket which append vitality and movement arrested the foreigners' attention. Thirdly, foreigner's were interested with straw shoes and paper shoes.

This study has a research objective to suggest detailed rules and principles to transcribe geographical names in English for English version electronic map service. For this, guidelines which are used in English transcription of local geographical names in Korea and English transcription situations of Korea geographical names in foreign electronic map service were examined. Examining results of current situations showed the English transcription method of home and abroad geographical names caused the chaos because it is not homogenized. In order to identify easy and preferred transcription method for foreigners among English transcription methods about the geographical names which are used together like this, the preference of English transcription methods of the geographical names was examined targeting foreigners. Survey results showed that foreigners prefer to transcribe in Roman character (Romanization) with its semantic word together than just to transcribe the Roman character. Reflecting this preference research results, our country's geographical names were classified as Natural features, Cultural features and man-made structures, and Administrative units and the detailed English transcription rules and principles of each geographical names were suggested.
