A Study on the Structure Analysis Optimization of Die Cam Drive Considering the Thin Plate Hardening (박판판재 경화를 고려한 다이 캠 드라이브의 구조해석 최적화에 대한연구)

  • According to the forming or bending deformation in the press die, the thin plate occurs a work-hardening, the sheet hardening and cam unit's deformation causes incomplete forming during the cam molding process by the reacting spring forces. This study treated the input parameters of the stress and strain as given properties and also used Cam forming pressure considering the sheet hardening in the forming process of the aluminum sheet. The Hyperstudy are operated be linked with the Abaqus of the finite element analysis tool and the shape of Cam were carried out with non-linear shape optimization analysis. As a result removing the deformation of plate, the cam shape were optimized under conditions reduced deformation, having a minimum stress range and the minimum deformation. Therefore, a stress-strain curve and a normal distribution of stress-thickness can be obtained and optimization could be obtained for the shape of the stress and strain on the die plate hardened cam considering the thickness and reaction force of gas spring as iteration process.

  • This paper proposed the finite element analysis technique for improving the correleration accuracy between FEA and test on a pedestrian lower legform impact. Europe has been evaluating the bumper pedestrian impact by Euro-NCAP, and it will also be applied in a domestic area by K-NCAP in 2013. By using the compression test result of bending resisting stiffener, a pedestrian bumper modeling guide was presented by analayzing the force-displacement curve of stiffener. And by using the sensor measurement results in car pedestrian test, pedestrian impact behavior was analyzed between test and finite element analysis result. Finally, the finite element analysis guide for a pedestrian bumper impact was presented to improve the correleration accuracy.

  • 최근에 에피 성장된 ZnO는 UV-LED, 화학적-바이오센서와 투명전도 전극에 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 고 품질의 ZnO는 Metal-organic chemical vapor deposition(MOCVD), Pulsed laser deposition(PLD), molecular beam epitaxy(MBE), 그리고 마그네트론 스퍼터링법에 의해 성장이 이루어지고 있다. 대부분의 ZnO는 사파이어, 싫리콘과 같은 이종 기판 위에 성장되고 있으며, Heteroepitaxy로 성장된 ZnO 박막은 기판과 박막사이의 격자상수, 열팽창계수 차이로 인해 높은 결함 밀도를 보이고 있다. 이러한 문제점은 광전자 소자 응용에 있어 여러 가지 문제점을 야기 시킨다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 박막과 기판사이에 저온 버퍼층을 사용하거나 같은 물질의 버퍼층을 사용하여 결할 밀도를 감소시키고, 높은 결정성을 가진 ZnO 박막을 성장시킨 결과들이 많이 보고되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 마그네트론 스퍼터링 법으로 저온 버퍼층 성장 없이 성장온도 만을 달리 하여 고품질의 ZnO 박막을 성장시켰다. ZnO 박막은 c-sapphire 기판위에 ZnO(99.9999%)의 타겟을 사용하여 $600{\sim}800^{\circ}C$ 온도에서 성장시켰고, 스퍼터링 가스로는 아르곤과 산소를 2:1 비율로 혼합하여 15mtorr의 압력에서 성장하였다. 이렇게 성장시킨 ZnO 박막은 Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), High-Resolution X-ray Diffraction (HRXRD), Low-temperature PL, 그리고 Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)로 특성을 분석 하였다. ZnO 박막은 HRXRD (002) 면의 $\omega$-rocking curve운석 결과, $0.083^{\circ}$의 작은 FEHM을 얻었고, (102) 면의 $\varphi$-sacn을 통해 온도가 증가함에 따라 향상된 6-fold을 확인함으로새 에피성장됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 TEM분석을 통해 $800^{\circ}C$에서 성장된 박막은 $6.7{\times}10^9/cm^2$의 전위밀도를 얻을 수 있었다.

A Probability Mapping for Land Cover Change Prediction using CLUE Model (토지피복변화 예측을 위한 CLUE 모델의 확률지도 생성)

  • Land cover and land use change data are important in many studies including climate change and hydrological studies. Although the various theories and models have been developed, it is difficult to identify the driving factors of the land use change because land use change is related to policy options and natural and socio-economic conditions. This study is to attempt to simulate the land cover change using the CLUE model based on a statistical analysis of land-use change. CLUE model has dynamic modeling tools from the competition among land use change in between driving force and land use, so that this model depends on statistical relations between land use change and driving factors. In this study, Yongin, Icheon and Anseong were selected for the study areas, and binary logistic regression and factor analysis were performed verifying with ROC curve. Land cover probability map was also prepared to compare with the land cover data and higher probability areas are well matched with the present land cover demonstrating CLUE model applicability.

  • This study deals with hardness evaluation for spot welding by using an instrumented indentation technique to improve the quality of the inspection methodology. First, an instrumented indentation test and a Rockwell hardness test were performed for normal and abnormal spot welding. The hardness to indentation force-displacement curve obtained using each of the tests was compared. Furthermore, an analysis was conducted using the hardness obtained by the instrumented indentation technique. A quality control standard based on reliability was this evaluated for spot welding.

Study of the Plating Methods in the Experimental Model of Mandibular Subcondyle Fracture (하악골 과두하부 골절 실험모델에서 견고정을 위한 플레이트 고정방법 연구)

  • Purpose: This study examined the biomechanical stability of four different plating techniques in the experimental model of mandibular subcondyle fracture. Methods: Twenty standardized bovine tibia bone samples ($7{\times}1.5{\times}1.0cm$) were used for this study. Each of the four sets of tibia bone was cut to mimic a perpendicular subcondyle fracture in the center area. The osteotomized tibia bone was fixed using one of four different fixation groups (A,B,C,D). The fixation systems included single 2.0 mm 4 hole mini adaption plate (A), single 2.0 mm 4 hole dynamic compression miniplate (B), double fixation with 2.0 mm 4 hole mini adaption plate (C), double fixation with a 2.0 mm 4 hole mini adaption plate and 2.0 mm 4 hole dynamic compression miniplate (D). A bending force was applied to the experimental model using a pressure machine (858 table top system, $MTS^{(R)}$) until failure occurred. The load for permanent deformation, maximum load of failure were measured in the load displacement curve with the chart recorder. Results: Double fixation with a 2.0 mm 4 hole mini adaption plate and a 2.0 mm 4 hole dynamic compression miniplate (D) applied to the anterior and posterior regions of the subcondyle experimental model showed the highest load to failure. Conclusion: From this study, double fixation with an adaption plate and dynamic compression miniplate fixation technique produced the greatest biomechanical stability. This technique may be considered a useful means of fixation to reduce the postoperative internal maxillary fixation period and achieve early mobility of the jaw.

Analysis of Partial Least Square Regression on Textural Data from Back Extrusion Test for Commercial Instant Noodles (시중 즉석 조리 면의 Back Extrusion 텍스처 데이터에 대한 Partial Least Square Regression 분석)

  • Partial least square regression (PLSR) was executed on curve data of force-deformation from back extrusion test and sensory data for commercial instant noodles. Sensory attributes considered were hardness (A), springiness (B), roughness (C), adhesiveness to teeth (D), and thickness (E). Eight and two kinds of fried and non-fried instant noodles respectively were used in the tests. Changes in weighted regression coefficients were characterized as three stages: compaction, yielding, and extrusion. Correlation coefficients appeared in the order of E>D>A>B>C, root mean square error of prediction D>C>E>B>A, and relative ability of prediction D>C>E>B>A. Overall, 'D' was the best in the correlation and prediction. 'A' with poor prediction ability but high correlation was considered good when determining the order of magnitude.

Dynamic Characteristic Analysis of 3-Piece Freight Vehicle with Wedge Friction Damper Using ADAMS (ADAMS를 이용한 3-Piece 마찰 웨지 댐퍼가 장착된 화차의 동특성 해석)

  • In this work, an independent-load friction wedge model was developed using the ADAMS/View program to predict the performance of a freight vehicle with a bogie employing a 3-piece friction wedge. The friction wedge model can generate friction according to lateral and vertical directions of the bolster. The developed friction wedge model was applied to the ADAMS/Rail vehicle model, and results of the dynamic analysis showed a critical speed of 210km/h. In the linear safety analysis, it was confirmed that the lateral and vertical limit of acceleration of the vehicle were satisfied based on UIC518. In the 300R curve line, the application speed was 70km/h, which was satisfied with the limit acceleration of the car-body and bogie based on UIC518. Also, the developed model satisfied the wheel loading, lateral force and derailment coefficient of "The Regulations on Safety Standards for Railway Vehicles"

Preparations and Magnetic Properties of Aluminum Anodic Oxidized Films Electrodeposited Cobalt-Iron Alloys (코발트-철을 전해석출한 양극산화피막의 제작과 자기특성)

  • The magnetic properties of aluminum anodized film in which Co-Fe alloy electrodeposited are investigated with regard to the alloy composition of magnetic films. The electrodeposited Co-Fe particles are confirmed to be single phase Co-Fe alloys by X-ray diffractions. At 34 at% Co, the sample with small pore diameter(particle diameter $150\;{\AA}$) has a large magnetic energy product($B_{max}$) of about 1.44 MGOe due to the large saturation magnetization, the high coercive force and good squareness of the M-H curve. However, for the samples with particle diameter larger than $450\;{\AA}$, the bottom of each particle forms abnormal particle claaed branch-shaped unlike the sample of the particle diameter $150\;{\AA}$. In this case, the magnetic anisotropy energy was about zero at the compositions of 45 and 75 at% Co. Moreover, at the compositions from 50 to 70 at% Co, the anisotropy became negative value. This means that an easy axis of magnetization of the film is in plane in plane in spite of the perpendicular shape anisotropy of the particle. It was found that the bottom extremity of the particle contains FeC from the X-ray diffraction. Thus the effect of the bottom extremity, that is, an unusal magnetic property was removed by electrodepositing Cu at the bottom extremity of the particle. Itis clear that the magnetic properties of the ilms are influenced by he branch-shaped bottom extremity filled with FeC.

2-D meso-scale complex fracture modeling of concrete with embedded cohesive elements

  • This paper has presented an effective and accurate meso-scale finite element model for simulating the fracture process of concrete under compression-shear loading. In the proposed model, concrete is parted into four important phases: aggregates, cement matrix, interfacial transition zone (ITZ), and the initial defects. Aggregate particles were modelled as randomly distributed polygons with a varying size according to the sieve curve developed by Fuller and Thompson. With regard to initial defects, only voids are considered. Cohesive elements with zero thickness are inserted into the initial mesh of cement matrix and along the interface between aggregate and cement matrix to simulate the cracking process of concrete. The constitutive model provided by ABAQUS is modified based on Wang's experiment and used to describe the failure behaviour of cohesive elements. User defined programs for aggregate delivery, cohesive element insertion and modified facture constitutive model are developed based on Python language, and embedded into the commercial FEM package ABAQUS. The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed model are firstly identified by comparing the numerical results with the experimental ones, and then it is used to investigate the effect of meso-structure on the macro behavior of concrete. The shear strength of concrete under different pressures is also involved in this study, which could provide a reference for the macroscopic simulation of concrete component under shear force.
