Recently, the use of serving robots has been increasing due to the increase in preference for non-face-to-face services and the rise in the minimum wage due to the coronavirus. When analyzing previous studies related to serving robots, it was confirmed that most of the studies on the functions and technologies of serving robots were conducted. Therefore, this study analyzed the factors affecting the attitude and customer satisfaction of restaurant consumers toward serving robots by adding performance expectations, effort expectations, and speed factors among the UTAUT2 models. The survey period was conducted from July 28, 2021 to September 9, 2021, and 306 out of a total of 310 surveys were used for analysis, excluding 4 unfaithful surveys. For the analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and hypothesis test were performed using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0, and the research results are as follows. First, it was found that performance expectation, effort expectation, and speed had a significant positive (+) effect on attitudes. Second, it was found that attitude had a significant positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction. This study researched customer selection attributes of robot service restaurants using the UTAUT2 model, and also provided academic and practical implications.

Although researchers have, during the past decade, become increasingly interested in customer satisfaction customer reaction, and service quality issues, very little of research has devoted to the family restaurant. Family restaurant industry is among the fastest growing sectors of the tourism market. This paper discusses the importance of the family restaurant product and service quality, and presents the relationship among service quality, customer satisfaction, and customer reaction. The literature supports the value of family restaurant's service quality and relation between service quality and customer reaction. Exploratory study examined customer's satisfaction with service quality components and customer's reaction with satisfaction. The survey was conducted in four phases; service quality, customer reaction(satisfaction, repurchase intention, and word of mouth), restaurant information, general profile of customer. The results of the study show that service quality(product's quality, physical character) provided family restaurant customer with the overall satisfaction, and service quality affected on customer reaction(repurchase intention, positive word of mouth). Also overall satisfaction affected on repurchase intention and positive word of mouth.
The study examined the moderating effects of the relationship among purchase motivation, satisfaction, and loyalty in a farmer-to-consumer direct market. Data were collected from 426 consumers of direct sale agricultural products who visited nine rural villages across the country. The SPSS 15.0 and LISREL 8.80 statistical package were used for frequency, reliability, exploratory factor, confirmatory factor, and path analysis. Results showed that 'product factor', 'experience factor' and 'economic factor' among purchase motivation had positive effects on satisfaction and satisfaction had positive effects on loyalty. The analysis also indicated that gender moderated the relationship among purchase motivation, satisfaction, and loyalty. Whereas product and economic factors among purchase motivations had positive effects on satisfaction in the male group, product and experience motivation were important factors for female group. These results could enable direct sales marketers to develop marketing techniques to expand farm sales.
It is the aim of this study to identify and develop improved management practice and competitive edge through co-branding which has been adopted extensively in the States. There is no universally accepted definition of co-branding. The term has been used interchangeably with labels such as brand alliance and composite branding. This study is exploratory in nature and at best a pilot study as few academic research are found dealing with actual cases between hotels and restaurant companies in Korea. Through related literatures reviews and research findings, this study will provide valuable insight as to the methods and activities of co-branding and a framework to help industry professions identify co-branding opportunities to enhance the productivity.
The purpose of this study was to examine, in a service context, construct validity and generalizability of widely used and accepted measures of perceived organizational support, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and service duality, and to test each measures' predictive utility in this context with path analysis. Of 350 subjects, 309 subjects participated in the analysis. Descriptive statistics (frequencies), exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, zero-order partial correlation analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were used for this study. The findings from this study are as follows. First, perceived organizational support significantly influenced job satisfaction, organizational commitment. and service quality. Second, Job satisfaction had a directional impact upon organizational commitment and service quality. Third, organizational commitment showed to have a predictive impart on service quality. Finally, the results of the study provide some insight into the types of internal marketing strategies that can be applied successfully by operators of hotel F & B departments.
In this study, we analyzed the dietary style of Chinese singles; in addition, the effect of convenience food consumption on the quality of life of singles was evaluated through construct model development on the relationship between the frequency of consumption and satisfaction with convenience food and quality of life. A statistical analysis of 153 surveys from Tianj was conducted using SPSS 12.0 for Windows and SEM using AMOS 5.0 statistics package. The reliability of the data was confirmed by an exploratory factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The measurement model was confirmed as appropriate by a confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement model in conjunction with AMOS. The results of a factor analysis were as follows. Dietary style was categorized into four factors. The level of satisfaction with convenience food was categorized into seven factors and quality of life was categorized into four factors. The reliability of these findings was supported by a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.6 and higher for all the factors. For the level of satisfaction with convenience food based on dietary style and the quality of life of singles, a structural equation model was constructed and analyzed. The results of all tests indicated that the model satisfied the recommended level of goodness of fit index and thus, the overall research model was appropriate. The current study highlights the increased interest in eating habits of singles and is necessary for further improvement in nutrition education.
Acculturation may manifest dietary behavioral changes of students from overseas. This study investigated the dietary attitudes, food intakes, and dietary behaviors of 121 Chinese college students residing in Busan, Korea. Using a focus group interview and structured survey, subjects were divided into two groups (SG, LG) based on their self-rated acculturation status. The SG (n=70) and LG (n=51) groups consisted of participants that had resided in Korea for shorter than 18 months versus 18 months or longer, respectively. The SG group was more likely to point out the taste of Korean foods as being too sweet, salty, and spicy but less greasy. A food frequency questionnaire was developed to assess normal intake of Korean ethnic, Chinese ethnic, and common foods. The LG group consumed more Korean foods such as rice cake, dried laver, and radish kimchi but less Chinese foods such as bread glue ball and kidney bean. The LG group consumed more salty and fatty foods and Korean liquors, whereas the SG group consumed more fruits and noodles. Based on the exploratory factor analysis, the SG group showed significantly higher scores for "dietary regularity" but lower scores for "indulgence of unhealthful food" factors. In summation, the LG group became more accustomed to Korean foods and adopted less desirable dietary behaviors compared with the SG group. Findings suggest that the residential period of Chinese college students may be associated with their self-rated acculturation status and food acculturation process, and therefore tailored nutrition education programs are needed to support Chinese students' healthier dietary behaviors and food acculturation process.
Objectives: This study aimed to develop and assess the content validity and internal consistency of a questionnaire on the feasibility of mobile dietary self-monitoring applications. Methods: We developed a feasibility questionnaire to assess the overall usage, convenience, usefulness, and satisfaction of mobile dietary applications. The initial draft of the questionnaire contained 17 items with yes/no, multiple-choice, and open-ended questions and 52 items on 5-point Likert scales. To validate the content, ten experts evaluated the relevance of the items for each subscale using a 5-point scale. We calculated the item-level content validity index (I-CVI) and scale-level content validity index (S-CVI). A total of 102 adults answered the questionnaires which reflected the experts' reviews. We conducted an exploratory factor analysis to determine the underlying structure of responses and categorized convenience, usefulness, and satisfaction. We also calculated Cronbach's alpha coefficient to examine the internal consistency of items in each subscale. Results: The S-CVI score of the items was 0.86, and we removed items with an I-CVI score of < 0.80. We combined, revised, or separated some remaining items and added one item as per the experts' comments. As a result, we included 16 items about overall usage and 42 sub-questions. Based on the responses of the 102 adults, we performed exploratory factor analysis using the principal axis method. We retained items with a factor loading of > 0.40, resulting in a final set of 35 questions (convenience: 15, usefulness: 12, satisfaction: 8 items). The Cronbach's alpha values of the three scales were 0.93, 0.91, and 0.91 for 1) usefulness, 2) convenience, and 3) satisfaction, respectively. Conclusions: We developed a feasibility questionnaire for mobile dietary self-monitoring applications and examined its content validity and internal consistency. Our questionnaire has the potential to measure the feasibility of mobile dietary self-monitoring applications.
The purpose of this study was to explore consumers' perceptions and satisfaction of Makgeolli in Daejeon. The study examined the perceptions of consumers of a number of Makgeolli characteristics. A total of 199 respondents provided information regarding their perceptions of Makgeolli. Exploratory factor analysis showed that six factors of consumers' perceptions toward Makgeolli were: delight, harmony with food, atmosphere, health /tradition-related, self-fulfillment, and emotion. Examining the effect of each factor on Makgeolli satisfaction showed that delight had a negative relationship with satisfaction while harmony with food and health/tradition-related showed positive relationships. Atmosphere, self-fulfillment, and emotion did not impact satisfaction. Comparisons of the eleven attributes using t-test between Makgeolli and alcoholic beverages showed significant differences in six attributes: creating a special dining ambience(p<0.001), socializing(p<0.001), enhancing the taste of food(p<0.001), satisfying thirst(p<0.01), esthetic(p<0.01), and stylish(p<0.001). Most of the places where Makgeolli was consumed were traditional bars(53.4%) and Korean restaurants(29.1%). In order to make Makeolli as a global beverage further studies regarding Makgeolli purchasing motivation, satisfaction, consumer characteristics should be studied.
