Mobile Communication has a possibility of eavesdropping by nature of wireless channel. It is known that eavesdropping of CDMA system is impossible because the voice data spreads with the PN. First of all, we show that it is possible to eavesdrop the CDMA channel by analysis of the forward channel in case that we know the ESN and the MIN. We can monitor the forward traffic channel with easy since ESN and MIN are exposed during the call processing in CDMA service in Korea. In this paper, we will show security weakness and propose an enhanced mechanism for CDMA service. We consider the problem of security in the CDMA service. CDMA system has wireless channels to transmit voice or data. By this reason, CDMA communication has a possibility of being eavesdropped by someone. It is known that eavesdropping in CDMA system is impossible because the voice data spreads with the PN. However, we can eavesdrop the CDMA data in FCM protocol in case that we know the ESN and the MIN. In CDMA system, ESN and MIN are exposed to the wireless channel. In this paper, we analyze the flow of the voice and signal in the CDMA system and monitor the forward traffic channel by the FCM protocol. The FCM protocol is proposed to monitor the forward channel in CDMA system. We can show the possibility of monitoring in one-way channel of CDMA system by the FCM protocol. The test instrument based on the FCM protocol is proposed to monitor the CDMA forward channel. We will show the system architecture of the test instrument to monitor the forward channel in CDMA.
This study reviewed the examples on analyses of the potential impacts to waste management, due to the recent trends of waste trade regulation, and summarized an analysis strategy of the impacts. As a result, a desirable analysis may begin with reasonable estimation of recent waste amounts and flows, and reasonable prediction of the future trends of waste amounts. Then, it is effective to list various key factors and derive future scenarios of the impacts, as well as employ the traditional viewpoints focusing on waste material flow or environmental regulations. The applicable analyses for each scenario can be largely divided into qualitative and quantitative methods. Due to a high uncertainty in the recent international situations with entailing possible innovative economic changes, qualitative methods may be considered in advance, and then quantitative techniques may be utilized to predict gradual changes at relieved uncertainty of the situations. Based on this review so far, proper methodology and procedures for the impact analysis were suggested on recent waste trade conditions in Korea. Given existence of the recent uncertainties such as the health and economic crises, the analysis preferably focused on deriving strategic scenarios with respect to various aspects, and suggested analysis methods applicable to each scenario.
Since web applications are accessed by anonymous users via web, more security risks are imposed on those applications. In particular, because security vulnerabilities caused by insecure source codes cannot be properly handled by the system-level security system such as the intrusion detection system, it is necessary to eliminate such problems in advance. In this paper, to enhance the security of web applications, we develop a static analyzer for detecting the well-known security vulnerability of PHP file inclusion vulnerability. Using a semantic based static analysis, our vulnerability analyzer guarantees the soundness of the vulnerability detection and imposes no runtime overhead, differently from the other approaches such as the penetration test method and the application firewall method. For this end, our analyzer adopts abstract interpretation framework and uses an abstract analysis domain designed for the detection of the target vulnerability in PHP programs. Thus, our analyzer can efficiently analyze complicated data-flow relations in PHP programs caused by extensive usage of string data. The analysis results can be browsed using a JAVA GUI tool and the memory states and variable values at vulnerable program points can also be checked. To show the correctness and practicability of our analyzer, we analyzed the source codes of open PHP applications using the analyzer. Our experimental results show that our analyzer has practical performance in analysis capability and execution time.

This paper is to analyse a changing space of energy flows in Northeast Asia from geopolitical and geoeconomic perspectives that have been recently promoted for energy security of countries in this region. The research is based on an analytical framework in an integration of political ecology and political economy. Because of an ever-increasing input of energy resources for economic growth and of dramatically increasing price of crude oil and recent instability of oil market, South Korea, China and Japan have been deeply concerned with energy security and conducted very actively geopolitical strategies. And hence the space of energy flows in the region is now in a process of dynamic reconfiguration, in which the project for development of oil and natural gas fields in East Siberia and construction of pipelines to transport them can be seen as one of competitive issues among these countries. In spite of worrying about stagflation due to rapid increase of oil price, such geo-strategies for energy security and reconfiguration of space of energy flows seem to keep the accumulation of capital in this region continue with generation of huge privatized oil companies.
Natural convection heat transfer rates in vertical pipes were measured varying the diameter, length, and roughness of vertical cylinder. To achieve high Rayleigh number with relatively small test rig, mass transfer experiments instead of heat transfer were performed based on the analogy. Prandtl number was 2,014. The length of vertical cylinder was 0.1m, 0.3m, and 0.5m, which correspond to GrL $4.2{\times}10^7$, $1.1{\times}10^9$, and $5.5{\times}10^9$. To each length of vertical cylinder, the heat transfer rates were measured varying the iameter 0.005m, 0.01m, and 0.03m. The heat transfer rate for a short length pipe(0.1m) agreed with the prediction from Le Fevre correlation developed for a vertical plate for all diameter. The heat transfer rate decreases as the diameter and the length of the pipe increases. The heat transfer rate inside of vertical cylinder is affected by roughness only for a laminar flow regime.
It is important to keep stable effluent water quality and minimize operation cost in biological wastewater treatment plant. However, the optimal operation is difficult because of the change of influent flow rate and concentrations, the nonlinear dynamics of microbiology growth rate and other environmental factors. Therefore, many wastewater treatment plants are operated for much more redundant oxygen or chemical dosing than the necessary. In this study, the optimal control scheme for dissolved oxygen (DO) is suggested to prevent over-aeration and the reduction of the electric cost in plant operation while maintaining the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration for the metabolism of microorganisms in oxic reactor. For optimal control, The oxygen uptake rate (OUR) is realtime measured for the identification of influent characterization and the identification of microorganisms' oxygen requirement in oxic reactor. Optimal DO seT-Point needed for the microorganism is suggested based on real time measurement of oxygen uptake of microorganism and the control of air blower. Therefore, both stable effluent quality and minimization of electric cost are satisfied with a suggested optimal setpoint decision system by providing the necessary oxygen supply requirement to the microorganisms coping with the variations of influent loading.
We examined high-resolution seismic data, side scan sonar data, surface sediments, and vibrocore samples from a sand ridge off the western part of Dukjuk-Do in Gyeonggi Bay, with the aim of interpretation of seismic stratigraphy and sedimentary environment. Based on the seismic data, the deposited sands are divided into three sedimentary units. 14C age data indicate that the top sequence (sequence I) formed at 5000-6000 yr BP, when a transgression resulted in strong shifting tides. Analyses of the vibrocore samples indicate that sequence II is a paleo-mudflat layer of intertidal sediments dominated by mud. Sequence III consists of terrestrial sediments that are presumed to have been deposited at the end of the Pleistocene, unconformably overlying the acoustic bedrock and Mesozoic granite. The side scan sonar data indicate that sand waves were formed on the seabed on top of the sand ridge. Generally, this is the direction of $N20^{\circ}E$, which coincides with the direction of tidal flow. Sand ripples occur away from the top of the sand ridge and are distributed homogeneously across a sandy slope. Vibrocore analyses indicate that the surface sediments and core sediments (samples VC-1, -2, and -3) are homogeneous, without any internal structures, and are characterized by a mixture of medium and fine sand (1-$2{\phi}$), respectively.

Present work shows a numerical method to analysis of interaction analysis between solitary wave and onshore bridge. Numerical simulation is carried out by TWOPM-3D (three-dimensional one-field model for immiscible two-phase flows), which is based on Navier-Stokes solver. To do this, the solitary wave is generated numerically in numerical wave channel, and numerical results and experimental results were compared and analyzed in order to verify the applicability of force acting on an onshore bridge. From this, we discussed precisely the characteristics of horizontal and vertical forces (uplift and downward forces) changes including water level and velocity changes due to the variation of solitary wave height, water depth, onshore bridge's location and type, and number of girder. Furthermore, It is revealed that the maximum horizontal and vertical forces acting on the girder bridge show different varying properties according to the number of girder, although each maximum force acting on the girder bridge is proportional to the increasement of incident solitary wave height, and the entrained air in the fluid flow affects the vertical force highly.
A program code was developed to calculate block hydraulic conductivity of the 2-D DFN(discrete fracture network) system based on equivalent pipe network, and implemented to examine the effect of joint orientation distribution on the hydraulic characteristics of fractured rock masses through numerical experiments. A rock block of size $32m{\times}32m$ was used to generate the DFN systems using two joint sets with fixed input parameters of joint frequency and gamma distributed joint size, and various normal distributed joint trend. DFN blocks of size $20m{\times}20m$ were selected from center of the $32m{\times}32m$ blocks to avoid boundary effect. Twelve fluid flow directions were chosen every $30^{\circ}$ starting at $0^{\circ}$. The directional block conductivity including the theoretical block conductivity, principal conductivity tensor and average block conductivity were estimated for generated 180 2-D DFN blocks. The effect of joint orientation distribution on block hydraulic conductivity and chance for the equivalent continuum behavior of the 2-D DFN system were found to increase with the decrease of mean intersection angle of the two joint sets. The effect of variability of joint orientation on block hydraulic conductivity could not be ignored for the DFN having low intersection angle between two joint sets.

The imbalance of air supply and the exhaust on subway platforms has led to the installation of platform screen doors in underground subway stations. This imbalance causes the accumulation of pollutants on the platform and loss of comfort due to the lack of ventilation. In this study, a floor exhaust system was optimized using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and an optimization program. The optimized floor exhaust system was manufactured and tested experimentally to evaluate the particle collection efficiency. CFX 17.0 and HEEDS were used to analyze the flow field and optimize the principal dimensions of the exhaust system. As a result of the three-step optimization, the optimized floor exhaust system had a total height of 1.78 m, pressure drop of 430 Pa, and particle collection capability of 61%. A fine dust particle collection experiment was conducted using a floor exhaust system that was manufactured at full scale based on the optimized design. The experiment indicated about 65% particle collection efficiency. Therefore, the optimized design can be applied to subway platforms to draw in exhaust air and remove particulate matter at the same time.
