그라비어 셀의 형태에 따른 잉크 유동 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (Computer Simulation of Ink Flow In the Various Types of Gravure Cell)

  • In gravure printing, the amount of ink from cells has a great effect on the qualities of final printed products. And printability of final products is determined by every kinds variables. Ink transfer process is not verified scientifically because gravure cell is of small size and print speed is rapid. Therefore in order to study of ink transfer mechanism, this study is using the Computational Fluid Dynamics Evaluation. Polyflow 3-10 simulation software is used for considering of non-Newtonian flow. Among the various factors, this study have dealt with gravure cell types used computer simulation in order to define distinctive features in ink flow and transfer. The results of simulation, it defined the distribution of pressure, speed, stream function, viscosity, shear rate during the gravure printing. It is fined out the difficulties and characteristics according to the shape of cell types. Through this study, the condition of gravure printing is depending on the print condition and characteristic of cells.

원자로 냉각재 펌프의 완전 특성 곡선 (Complete Characteristic Curve for a Reactor Coolant Pump)

  • An experimental test facility for the complete characteristics of pumps is constructed at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials). All sensors instrumented in test facility for measuring flow rate, pressure, force and moment are in-situ calibrated by primary method. This paper describes the test facility and test technique of the complete characteristics of pumps, together with an experimental test results for a reactor coolant pump which is designed at KIMM for the first time in Korea. The test results for the mixed-flow type pump of $n_s$=1.425 are presented by three curves: constant head, torque, and speed.

재활용 APT를 이용한 WO3 제조와 WC-Co 의 용사코팅 (WO3 Fabrication and Thermal Spray Coating of WC-Co using Recycled Ammonium Paratungstate (APT))

  • The possibility of chemical precipitation for recycled ammonium paratungstate (APT) was studied. WO3 particles were synthesized by chemical precipitation method using a 1:2 weight ratio of APT:DI-water. At the 500℃ sintering temperature, the X-ray diffraction results showed that APT completely decomposed to WO3. For the granulated powder WC-Co, vacuum heat treatment at proper temperatures increases tap density and flow-ability. Hardness of the WC-Co thermal spray coating layer was measured in the range HV 831~1266. Spray conditions for the best characteristic values were an oxygen flow rate=1500 scfh, a fuel flow rate = 5.25gph and a gun distance = 320mm.

액체식 제습시스템을 위한 재생기와 제습기의 높이에 따른 성능특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Performance Characteristics with the Height of a Regenerator and Dehumidifier for Liquid Desiccant Dehumidification System)

  • Liquid desiccant dehumidification systems have the ability to provide efficient humidity and temperature control while saving the electrical energy requirement for air conditioning as compared to a conventional system. The dehumidifier and the regenerator form the heart of this system. The latent part of the cooling load is overcome using liquid desiccant. The model regenerator has been designed to study the absorption characteristic of the aqueous triethylene glycol (TEG) solution which is in the flow range from 20 to 50 LPM. Also, this system designed that was able to change the height of the regenerator and dehumidifier. Because the effect of performance have different result according the height. The effect of performance factors of the regenerator with inlet solution flow rate, air flow rate, solution concentration, solution temperature, brine temperature, air temperature and inlet air relative humidity have been analyzed. Data obtained are useful for design guidance and performance analysis of the hybrid air conditioning system.

자동차용 PCV밸브내 유통특성에 의한 밸브응력 및 변형에 미치는 입출구 차압의 영향 (The Effect of In-Outlet Differential Pressure on a Valve Body Stress and Deformation by the Blow-by Gas Flow Characteristic in the PCV valve for Automobile)

  • PCV(Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve acts as a flow control valve to get a re-combustion of blow-by gas by having it flow from a crankcase to an inlet manifold suction tube. The blow-by gas of the crankcase should be eliminated or taken properly because it cause corrosion to critical parts, and contributes to increase crankcase pressure that can cause a drop in efficiency. The excessive stress and strain on the PCV valve that remove these harmful gas would be bring the difficult on the flow rate control and failure of the valve. Those condition inevitably induce the accident. Therefore, this study purpose is FEM evaluation of the stresses and deformation in the X3 PCV model according to the change of the differential pressure between inlet and outlet. From results, the maximum equivalent stresses increased linearly according to the increase of the differential pressure at the about 50mm from the inlet position and were under the yield strength of the valve. And the deformations were relatively small regardless of the in-outlet differential pressure variation.

  • 도로용량편람(2004)에 제시된 합류부 분석 방법론은 수요가 용량을 초과할 경우 정체가 발생한다는 가정을 전제로 하고 있다. 그러나 많은 경우, 본선과 연결로 수요의 합이 용량을 초과하지 않은 상태에서도 합류부에서는 정체가 발생하고 있는 실정이며, 현재의 분석방법으로는 본선 및 연결로가 정체발생과 관련하여 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지에 대한 분석이 어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 합류부 본선 및 연결로 수요교통량의 조합에 따라 발생할 수 있는 합류부 교통상태를 추정할 수 있는 모형을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 모형의 가장 큰 특징은 가변용량 개념의 도입인데 즉, 합류부 본선 및 연결로 수요교통량의 조합에 따라 정체되지 않고 통과될 수 있는 최대통과가능교통량 및 정체발생시의 최대통과교통량 산정에 있다. 이를 통해 합류부의 교통상태가 정체될 것인지, 또한 정체시 최대통과교통량 및 정체규모는 얼마가 될 것인지 추정할 수 있었다. 한편, 현재 사용하고 있는 합류부 서비스수준 평가기법은 실제 교통상황을 반영하지 못함으로 인해 고속도로 현장에서는 정체상황이 발생되고 있으나 수요가 용량을 초과하지 않았다는 이유로 정상교통류 상태로 평가하는 단점을 지니고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 보다 현실적인 합류부 서비스수준 평가기법을 제시하기 위해 본 연구에서 개발한 합류부 분석방법론을 토대로 새로운 합류부 서비스수준 구분 기준을 제시하였다.

고질소강 오스테나이트계 스테인레스강의 압축변형특성 (Deformation Characteristic by Compression in High-Nitrogen Austenitic Stainless Steel)

  • Compression tests were carried out to investigate morphologies of compressed specimen, deformation microstructure and stress-strain relation in high-nitrogen austenite stainless steel. Tests were performed under a wide range of temperature and, with true strain rates up to $\dot{\varepsilon}$ =0.05, 0.1, 0.5 and $1.0s^{-1}$. The activation energy of loading force was equal to plastic deformation energy within the temperature range of $900^{\circ}C$ to $1250^{\circ}C$. Dynamically recrystallized grain size decreased with an increasing strain rate and temperature. Flow stresses and deformation microstructures, were used to quantify the critical strain rate and recrystallized grain size. The grain size versus strain rate-temperature map obtained in the study was in good agreement with the deformation microstructures of compressed specimens.

MR유체를 이용한 유량제어 밸브 (Development of Flow Control Valve Using MR Fluid)

  • This paper presents development of flow control valve using MR fluid. Generally, since the apparent viscosity of MR fluids is adjusted by applying magnetic fields, the MR valves can control high level fluid power without any mechanical moving parts. In this paper, flow control valve using MR fluid on the behavior of the magnetic field influence on the numerical analysis of more accurate electromagnetic parameters were obtained, even if when magnetic field apply inside of surrounding MR fluid from electromagnet, more realistic designing way analysis of characteristic of whole magnetic field distribution is suggested by surrounding magnetic material. Also, comparison of flow rate inlet and outlet, behavior of MR fluid in experiments proposed. A new type of flow control valve using MR fluid is proposed by analysis of behavior of MR fluid in experiments.

기계적 편향판 설치위치의 변화에 따른 유동특성에 대한 연구 (A Study on Flow Characteristics with the Installed Location Change of Mechanical Deflector)

  • Thrust vector control is the method which generates the side force and roll moment by controlling exhausted gas directly in a rocket nozzle. TVC is classified by mechanical and fluid dynamic methods. Mechanical methods can change the flow direction by several objects installed in a rocket nozzle exhaust such as tapered ramp tabs and jet vane. Fluid dynamic methods control the flight direction with the injection of secondary gaseous flows into the rocket nozzle. The tapered ramp tabs of mechanical methods are used in this paper. They installed at the rear in the rocket nozzle could be freely moved along axial and radial direction on the mounting ring to provide the mass flow rate which is injected from the rocket nozzle. TVC of the tapered ramp tabs has the potential to produce both large axial thrust and high lateral force. We have conducted the experimental research and flow analysis of ramp tabs to show the performance and the structural integrity of the TVC. The experiments are carried out with the supersonic cold flow system and the schlieren graph. This paper provides to analyze the location of normal shock wave and distribution of surface pressure on the region enclosed by the tapered ramp tabs.

PECVD에 의한 질화 실리콘 박막의 증착 (Deposition of a-SiN:H by PECVD)

  • 본 연구에서는 LCD, 이미지 센서 등의 개별 소자인 비정질 실리콘 박막 트랜지스터에서 게 이트 유전층 및 절연층으로 사용되는 비정질 질화 실리콘 박막을 사일랜($SiH_4$) 및 암모니아가스를 사용해서 PECVD(Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) 진공 증착장비로 최적의 비정질질화실리콘 박막 증착 조건을 확립한다. 먼저 반응실의 진공도, rf 전력, $SiH_4$ 및 질소 그리고 암모니아가스의 flow rate를 변화시키면서 형성된 박막의 특성을 조사한다. 계속해서 다른 변수를 고정시킨 상태에서 rf 전력을 변화시키고 다음에는 반응실의 진공도 등을 변화시켜 최적의 증착조건을 확립한다. 이렇게 확립된 증착조건을 사용하여 비정질질화실리콘박막을 제작하여 특성을 측정한 결과 우수한 성능을 나타냈음을 확인하였다.
