Analytical Proof of Equivalence of ISF, and Floquet Vector-Based Oscillator Phase Noise Theories (ISF와 Floquet 벡터에 기초한 발진기 위상잡음 이론의 등가성에 대한 해석적 증명)

  • This paper analytically proves the equivalence between two main oscillator phase noise theories, which are based on the ISF, and Floquet vector, respectively. For this purpose, this study obtains the power spectral density matrix from the ISF-based phase noise theory. As a result, one can prove that the power spectral density matrix obtained from the ISF-based phase noise theory is essentially equivalent to the power spectral density matrix presented by the Floquet vector-based phase noise theory, which manifests the equivalence of the two main theories. This study is intended to provide deeper insight into the relations between the two main theories.

  • Sattering problem of electromagnetic waves by periodic strip grating with two dielectrics over a ground plane in case of oblique incidence and arbitrary polarization is analyzed by the vector floquet mode expansion method and the moment mehtod from the viewpoint of soft and hard boundary value problem. To confirm proposed analysis methods, we examine the solution convergence for the scattering problem. And some numerical results of artificially soft and hard surfaces using the structure filled with single dielectric slab between periodic strip grating and gorund plane is compared with previous results. Some interesting results for soft and hard surfaces using periodic strips loaded with two layered dielectric slabs over a ground plane are given.

  • 2-dimensional scattering problem of electromagnetic waves by a periodic strip grating on a grounded dielectric slab in case of oblique incidence and arbitrary polarization is analyed by the vector Floquet modal expansion method. Solution convergence versus number of Chebyshev polynomial terms representing the unknown strip current density and number of space harmonics is examined, and some numerical results such as variation of power of significant space harmonics(scattered mode) are compared with those obtained by previous method. In particaluar, the relationship between Bragg blazing phonmena and characteristics mode(current) on the srip is discussed in detail.
