  • ITS(Intelligent Tutoring System) is a system that provides active and flexible tutoring conditions to learners, having adopted artificial intelligence to overcome the limitations of CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction). However, the existing ITS has a few problems; the system provides the same contents to every learner, not considering main variants of their learning and achievement, characters and levels, and therefore, it does not generate satisfactory results; the system does not offer a properly designed course schedule. Therefore, this thesis proposes ARS(Adaptive Recommendation System), founded on ITS, that provides contents designed based on the characters and levels of learners. To catch the characters of learners, the important variant for successful learning, ARS applies and embodies a module of self-assessment test. Also, it puts weighs according to the areas of learning which is different from the simplified assessment that asks for short and mechanical answers for the purpose of knowing the levels of the learners.

A Bluetooth Scatternet Formation Algorithm based on Hardware Implementation (하드웨어 구현을 기반으로 한 블루투스 스캐터넷 형성 알고리즘)

  • Bluetooth has been reputed as a wireless ad-hoc networking technology supplying scalable and extensible networks between digital devices. For that kind of networks, scatternet is a most essential part in bluetooth. But past researches on bluetooth scatternet has proposed only possibilities of scatternet algorithm based on simulation results. And many of the researches failed in guaranteeing extensibility and flexibility and had many difficulties in real hardware implementation. In this paper, we proposed node ring scatternet(NRS) algorithm guaranteeing extensible and flexible networks. NRS algorithm is designed for hardware implementation using real commercial bluetooth module. That algorithm is divided into initial formation and reformation. For initial formation, we proposed limited SEEK/SCAN algorithm. For reformation, we proposed DIAC algorithm and Reserved Recovery Node algorithm. And we proposed SFMP(Scatternet Formation & Management Protocol) in protocol stack for real implementation. NRS algorithm is operated in SFMP. Finally, we performed real hardware experiments and evaluated the proposed algorithm. In that experiments, we succeeded in forming scatternet up to 20 nodes. In comparison with other similar algorithm, proposed algorithm have the improvement in scatternet formation delay and success rate.

A Study of Automated Process Planning and Die Design for Multi Former-Bolt Products (다단포머-볼트류 공정 및 금형설계 자동화 시스템 개발)

  • This paper deals with an automated computer-aided process planning and die design system with which designer can determine operation sequences even after only a little experience in process planning and die design of multi former-bolt products by multi-stage former working. The approach is based on knowledge-based rules, and a process knowledge base consisting of design rules is built. Knowledge fur the system is formulated from plasticity theories, empirical results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. Programs for the system have been written in AutoLISP for AutoCAD with a personal computer. An attempt is made to link programs incorporating a number of expert design rules with the process variables obtained by commercial FEM softwares, DEFORM and ANSYS, to form a useful package. The system is composed of four main modules. The process planning and die design module considers several factors, such as the complexities of preform geometry, punch and die profiles, specifications of available multi former, and the availability of standard parts. It can provide a flexible process based on either the reduction in the number of forming sequences by combining the possible two processes in sequence, or the reduction of deviation of the distribution and the level of the required forming loads by controlling the forming ratios. The system uses 2D geometry recognition and is integrated with the technology of process planning, die design, and CAE analysis. The standardization of die parts for multi former-bolt products requiring a cold forging process is described. The system developed makes it possible to design and manufacture multi former-bolt products more efficiently.

대기압 플라즈마 표면 처리를 이용한 금속과 폴리이미드 필름의 접촉력 향상에 관한 연구

  • Poly [(N, N'-oxydiphenylene) pyromellitimide], polyimide (PI) film은 기계적 강도가 매우 우수하고 열적, 화학적 안정성이 뛰어난 재료로서 전자제품의 소형화, 경령화, 고성능화를 위한 차세대 flexible electronic device에 적용하기 위하여 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 PI의 특성상, 매우 낮은 표면에너지로 인해 금속과의 접촉력이 좋지 않은 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 금속박막과 PI film 과의 접촉력을 증가시키기 위해 remote-type modified dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) module을 이용하여 대기압 플라즈마 표면처리를 하였다. 실험에 사용된 gas composition은 각각 $N_2$/ He/ $SF_6$, $N_2$/ He/ $O_2$, $N_2$/ He/ $SF_6$/ $O_2$, $N_2$/ He/ $SF_6$/ $O_2$ 이다. $N_2$/ He/ $SF_6$/ $O_2$ gas composition을 이용하여 PI 표면을 플라즈마 처리한 경우, C=O 결합이 PI film 위에 생성됨으로써, 접촉각이 매우 낮게 형성됨을 관찰할 수 있었다. 이와는 반대로 $N_2$/ He/ $SF_6$ gas composition 을 사용하였을 경우에는 C-Fx 화학적 결합이 생성되기 때문에 가장 높은 접촉각이 형성됨을 관찰할 수 있었다. 특히, $N_2$ (40 slm)/ He (1 slm)/ $SF_6$ (1.2 slm) gas composition에 $O_2$ gas를 0.2 slm부터 1.0 slm까지 변화시켜가며 PI film 표면을 처리한 결과, $O_2$ gas를 0.9 slm 첨가하였을 때, 가장 낮은 $9.3^{\circ}$의 접촉각을 얻을 수 있었다. 이는 0.9 slm의 $O_2$ gas를 첨가하였을 때, 가장 많은 양의 $O_2$ radical이 생성되기 때문에 많은 양의 C=O 결합이 생성되기 때문이다. 최적화된 $N_2$ (40 slm)/ He (1 slm)/ $SF_6$ (1.2 slm)/ $O_2$ (0.9 slm) gas composition 조건에서 Ag film과 PI film과의 접촉력을 관찰할 결과, 111 gf/mm를 얻을 수 있었다.

Implementation of Dual-Mode Channel Card for SDR-based Smart Antenna System (SDR기반 스마트 안테나 시스템을 위한 듀얼 모드 채널 카드 구현)

  • In this paper, we describe the implementation and performance of a dual-mode Software Define Radio (SDR) smart antenna base station system. SDR technology enables a communication system to be reconfigured through software downloads to the flexible hardware platform that is implemented using programmable devices such as Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and microprocessors. The presented base station channel card comprises the physical layer (pHY) including the baseband modem as well as the beamforming module. This channel card is designed to support TDD High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) as well as Wireless Broadband Portable Internet (WiBro) utilizing the SDR technology. We first describe the operations and functions required in WiBro and TDD HSDPA. Then, we explain the channel card design procedure and hardware implementation. Finally, we evaluate WiBro and TDD HSDPA performance by simulation and actual channel-card-based processing. Our smart antenna base-station dual-mode channel card shows flexibility and tremendous performance gains in terms of communication capacity and cell coverage.

  • Optical camera communication (OCC) is an extension of Visible Light Communication. Different from traditional visible light communication, optical camera communications is an almost no additional cost technology by taking the advantage of build-in camera in devices. It was became a candidate for communication protocol for IoT. Camera module can be easy attached to IoT device, because it is small and flexible. Furthermore almost smartphone equip one or two camera for both back and font side with high quality and resolution. It can be utilized for receiving the data from LED or positioning. Actually, OCC combines illumination and communication. It can supply communication for special areas or environment where do not allow Radio frequency such as hospital, airplane etc. There are many concept and experiment be proposed. In this paper we proposed utilizing Android smart-phone camera for receiver and introduce new approach in modulation scheme for LED at transmitter. It also show how Manchester coding can be used encode bits while at the same time being successfully decoded by Android smart-phone camera. We introduce new data frame format for easy decoded and can be achieve high bit rate. This format can be easy to adapt to performance limit of Android operator or embedded system.

  • In this paper, the characteristics of LCL set-up parameters for the satellite load distribution are analyzed under the electrical system environment, implemented the LCL circuits and evaluated the performance and its behaviour. Recently, it is implemented the load distribution circuit by latching current limiter(LCL) rather than conventional fuse and relay for the protection of the satellite power system from a fault load. The LCL circuit is composed of the electrical components, not mechanical parts with the fuse and relay. When detected the over current on a fault load, it is activated to maintain the trip-off level for set-up time and then cut-off the load power by the active control. It is more flexible and provided a chance to reuse of the load in case of temporarily event, but the fuse and relay can't be used again after activating due to the physical disconnection. However, for implementation of LCL circuit, it should be carefully considered the behavior of the LCL circuit under the worst electrical system environment and applied it to define the set-up parameters related with over-current inhibition.

  • This is the time we need differentiated strategy due to consumer's standard of purchasing is becoming more complicated and corporate marketing war is intensely competitive. For a long-term strategy, making competitive corporate image is important because companies have their own competitiveness. In addition, importance of having a relationship with customer is magnified through consumers'direct and indirect experience. "The corporate complex cultural space is designed place for experiential marketing to convey its meaning to consumers." Under above concept, this study analyzed the theory of experiential marketing and conducted a survey which is based on experiential marketing strategic module (SEMs) using the analyzed theory. This study drew expression characteristics of space through case analysis and conducted a survey to have more effective corporate complex cultural space. As a result, the experience in the space enables people to understand of the space through five senses, not consist of simply chucks of sense-date, and this result emphasizes the importance of 'Event' because people tend to escape from restriction for reality to relive stress and have emotional satisfaction. In addition, it shows expression characteristics which provide sympathy as a flexible interaction through symbolical image. The result of the expression characteristics' survey is showed up to improve effect of corporate complex cultural space. This study is analyzing the corporate complex cultural space through experience marketing for the company which wants provide differentiated experience of various space expression methods and catching current position. Also, this study places its significance to give a way to increase space preference and effect of corporate complex cultural space. Based on the result of this study, I hope the future corporate complex cultural space will develop refreshingly.

  • A secure entrance system is complicated because it should have various functions like monitoring, logging, tracing, authentication, authorization, staff locating, managing staff enter-and-leave, and gate control. In this paper, we built and applied a secure entrance system for a domestic nuclear plant using Aspect Oriented Programming(AOP) and design pattern. Using AOP has an advantage of clearly distinguishing the role for each functional module because building a system separated independently from the system's business logic and security logic is possible. It can manage system alternation flexibility by frequent change of external environment, building a more flexible system based on increased code reuse, efficient functioning is possible which is an original advantage of AOP. Using design pattern enables to design by structuring the complicated problems that arise in general software development. Therefore, the safety of the system can also be guaranteed.

  • In this paper, we propose a key distribution scheme for flexible chipset pairing conditional access system. Chipset pairing conditional access system is the implementation of CA (Conditional Access) module by using both embedded secure chip in a Set-Top Box(STB) and smartcard, and the secure chip embedded in a STB forms a secure channel between the smartcard and the STB. In short, it is the system that a smartcard outputs encrypted CW (Control Word) to the STB, and the STB decrypts an encrypted CW by using the embedded secure chip. The drawback of this chipset pairing conditional access system is that one smartcard is able to be used for only one specified STB since it is the system using the STB bound to a smartcard. However, the key distribution scheme proposed in this paper overcomes a drawback of current chipset pairing conditional access system by using Chinese Remainder Theorem(CRT). To be specific, with this scheme, one smartcard can be used for multiple, not single, STBs, and applied to current chipset pairing without great changes.
