생산자동화 시스템을 위한 산업용 로봇의 운전특성 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Simulation of Operational Characteristics of Industrial Robot for Automated Manufacturing System)

  • This paper deals with 3D simulation of industrial robot for automated manufacturing system. In order to evaluate the operational characteristics of the industrial robot system in the worst case motion scenario, flexible - rigid multibody analysis was performed. Then, the rigid body dynamics analysis was performed and the results were compared with the flexible - rigid multibody analysis. Modal analysis was also performed to confirm the dynamic characteristics of the robot system. In the case of the flexible-rigid multibody simulation, only the structural members of interest were modeled as elastic bodies to confirm the stress state. The remaining structural members were modeled as rigid bodies to reduce computer resources.

  • In this paper we describe Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) using Petri nets, since Petri nets provide a powerful tool for modeling dynamical behavior of discrete concurrent processes. We deal with off-Line and on-Line rule-based scheduling of FMS. The role of the rule-base is to generate appropriate priority rule for resolving conflicts, that is, for selecting one of enabled transitions to be fired in a conflict set of the Petri nets. This corresponds to select a part type to be processed in the FMS. Towards developing more Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS) we propose a conceptual framework of a futuristic intelligent scheduling system.

  • 본 연구는 TPN unfolding을 이용하여 WIP의 FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System)를 분석하는 방법을 제시한다. PN의 unfolding은 상태폭발이 발생하지 않는 concurrent system의 검증에 사용되는 순서기반방법이다. 본 연구는 일반적으로 발생하는 순환상태스케쥴문제에서 가장 그 작업과정 시간을 최적화함을 위하여 원래의 net을 동일한 비순환 net으로 바꾸어 줄 수 있는 unfolding 개념을 기반으로 한 것이다.

  • The determination of appropriate buffer capacity is an important issue in the design of the advanced manufacturing systems and closely related to the system efficiency and flexibility. Work-in-process is usually not desirable. However, in reality, maintaining some capacity of buffer storage is inevitable in compensation for the machine blocking and break down. The objective of this paper is to present analytical methods and tools for the buffer capacity planning in the Flexible Manufacturing System Environments. The effects when machine blocking is critical factor are also discussed.

  • This paper deals with a scheduling problem with the objective of maximizing the throughput rate in flexible manufacturing system with shop type. Manufacturing system is consisted of multi-stage in series. All kinds of parts are processed in same in processing time. No buffer space is allowed between stages, and no part waiting is allowed in each stage. Part flow control method for determining the optimal production sequence of all parts and the production starting time of each part is proposed.

  • This study addresses the problem of flexible technology acquisition in multi-product market when demands are uncertain. We confine the concept of flexibility to the ability of manufacturing system to produce a number of different types of products, called product-mix flexibility type. And an analytical model in which economies of scope is incorporated explicitly as a feature of flexible technology is presented to find the optimal investment decision to acquire flexible technology and optimal production planning. The characteristics of optimal investment strategy related to capacity and production planning are discussed.

  • This paper presents a design guidance of jig/fixture for flexible manufacturing system based on the verification of a base assembly motion instability. In flexible assembly system, the base assembly needs to be maintained in its assembled state without being taken apart. This requires stability in motion while the base assembly is handled or tilted. Therefore, the instability of the base assembly motion should be considered when determining the guide line of designing jig/fixture by evaluating a degree of the motion instability of the base assembly. To derive the instability, first we inference collision free assembly directions by extracting separable directions for the mating parts and calculate the separability which gives informations as to how the parts can be easily separated. Using these results, we determine the instability evaluated by summing all the modified separabilities of each component part within base assembly.

  • Recently, a quite large number of investigation is published on the subject of Flexible Manufacturing System which can cope with the volatile market demand and the variety of product. Minimum requirement of designing FMS is depicted and by investigating the communication system between the machine tool and the cell control computer, ana between the central computer and the cell control computer, when it is formed as a sub-system of an FEM, the software can be evolved to the control software of the total Flexible Manufacturing System. It is developed the communication system between the central computer and the cell control computer which is the basic structure of the control architecture of FMS under the concept of DNC (Direct Numerical Control). It is used CYBER 180-830 as the central computer, and GMC-1100 computer as the cell control computer, and the main basic program is developed and tested, thus forming a DNC system which can be used in educational environment.

  • In this report, we have designed a Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) for Engine-Cylinder block that is composed of maching center, special purpose machine, AGV(Automatic Guided Vehicle), using Micro-Computer and Programmable Controller(PC).   • The objective of this paper is to develop the flexible manufacturing system (FMS), which is cooperated with the automatic warehouse and inventory control under holonic manufacturing system (HMS). The HMS is a next wave of manufacturing revolution to deal with dynamic changing. The architecture of HMS is developed for cooperation system between the automatic warehouse agents and the manufacturing agents. This research applies the concept of HMS to develop a distributed control system for automatic warehouse and FMS by industrial network. The parts of prototype manufacturing agents consist of the conveyer system and 3-axises robot that provide the variety patterns in order to work as punch process. Each order of productions depends on the reorder points(RP) of inventory levels. The computation results indicate an improvement by comparing with traditional centralized control.
