We improve the performance of WCDMA repeater by cancelling the feedback interference radio signal under the fixed point implementation. Floating-point DSP or FPGA to implement the ICS algorithm may have an disadvantage of high cost, To solve this problem, we suggest the ICS algorithm based on LMS under fixed point operation, and show the validity of our results by comparing with the floating-point results through numerical simulation.
In this manuscript, we provide some new results with short proofs for the existence of Picard-Jungck operators in the framework of generalized metric spaces using $C_G$-simulation functions. An example is also provided to illustrate the usability of the results.
When a controller is implemented by a one-chip processor with fixed-point operations, the finite alphabet problem usually occurs since parameters and signals should be taken in a finite set of values. This paper formulates PID finite alphabet PID control problem which combines the PID controller with the finite alphabet problem. We will propose a PID parameter tuning method based on an optimization algorithm under the finite alphabet condition. The PID parameters can be represented by a fixed-point representation, and then the problem is formulated as an optimization with constraints that parameters are taken in the finite set. Some simulation are to be performed to exemplify the performance of the PID parameter tuning method proposed in this paper.
Existence results for multiple positive solutions of two classes of boundary value problems for bilateral difference systems are established by using a fixed point theorem under convenient assumptions. It is the purpose of this paper to show that the approach to get positive solutions of boundary value problems of finite difference equations by using multi-fixed-point theorems can be extended to treat the bilateral difference systems with one-dimensional Laplacians. As an application, the sufficient conditions are established for finding multiple positive homoclinic solutions of a bilateral difference system. The methods used in this paper may be useful for numerical simulation. An example is presented to illustrate the main theorems. Further studies are proposed at the end of the paper.

To address the convergence issue of power control algorithms, a number of algorithms have been developed hat shape the dynamics of up-link power control for cellular network. Power algorithms based on fixed point iterations can be accelerated by the use of various methods, one of the simplest being the use of Newton iterations, however, this method has the disadvantage which not only needs derivatives of the cost function but also may be weak to noisy environment. we showed performance of the power control schemes to solve the fixed point problem under static or stationary channel. They proved goof performance to solve the fixed point problem due to their predictor based optimal control and quadratic convergence rate. Here, we apply the proposed power control schemes to the problem of the dynamic channel or to dynamic time varying link gains. The rigorous simulation results demonstrated the validity of our approach.
The Qualcomm code excited linear prediction (QCELP) speech coder was adopted to increase the capacity of the CDMA Mobile System (CMS). In this paper, we implemented the QCELP speech coding algorithm by using TMS320C50 fixed point DSP chip. Also the fixed point simulation was done with C language. The computation complexity of QCELP on TMS320C50 was 10k words and data memory was 4k words. In the normal call test on the CMS, where mobile to mobile call test was done in the bypass mode without double vocoding, mean opinion score for the speech quality was he Qualcomm code excited linear prediction (QCELP) speech quality was 3.11.
A fission source can act as a stabilization element in coupled Monte Carlo simulations. We have observed this while studying numerical instabilities in nonlinear steady-state simulations performed by a Monte Carlo criticality solver that is coupled to a xenon feedback solver via fixed-point iteration. While fixed-point iteration is known to be numerically unstable for some problems, resulting in large spatial oscillations of the neutron flux distribution, we show that it is possible to stabilize it by reducing the number of Monte Carlo criticality cycles simulated within each iteration step. While global convergence is ensured, development of any possible numerical instability is prevented by not allowing the fission source to converge fully within a single iteration step, which is achieved by setting a small number of criticality cycles per iteration step. Moreover, under these conditions, the fission source may converge even faster than in criticality calculations with no feedback, as we demonstrate in our numerical test simulations.

This paper proposes an efficient feature extraction of the images by using independent component analysis(ICA) based on neural networks of the hybrid learning algorithm. The proposed learning algorithm is the fixed point(FP) algorithm based on Newton method and moment. The Newton method, which uses to the tangent line for estimating the root of function, is applied for fast updating the inverse mixing matrix. The moment is also applied for getting the better speed-up by restraining an oscillation due to compute the tangent line. The proposed algorithm has been applied to the 10,000 image patches of $12{\times}12$-pixel that are extracted from 13 natural images. The 144 features of $12{\times}12$-pixel and the 160 features of $16{\times}16$-pixel have been extracted from all patches, respectively. The simulation results show that the extracted features have a localized characteristics being included in the images in space, as well as in frequency and orientation. And the proposed algorithm has better performances of the learning speed than those using the conventional FP algorithm based on Newton method.

An automatic train operation(ATO) system executes the operation of constant speed travelling and fixed point parking by using microprocessors instead of driver's manual operation. This paper describes the mathematical model for the train considering unknown disturbances which consist of start resistance, travelling resistance, slope resistance, curve resistance, and so on. The speed controller of ATO system is designed by considering the disturbances. The simulation is executed to verify the speed control and fixed point parking performance and to compare its performance with that of a PID-type ATO control system under disturbances. Simulation results show that the control performance of gain scheduled control scheme for ATO system is better than that of the conventional PID controller.
In this paper, the efficient HW/SW co-simulation method which selects the ISA model dynamically is proposed. Because the ISA models with only fixed accuracy have been used in previous co-simulation environment, it may result in bad performance in speed or accuracy. In the proposed method, the cycle accurate ISA model is used in the case that the states of the detailed system are to be inspected. In other case, instruction-based model is executed in order to accelerate the simulation speed. The proposed dynamic model selection can be done by setting the conversion point in the application code before the simulation starts. The experiment on the embedded RISC processor have been performed, and its result shows that the proposed method is more efficient than the case of using fixed ISA model.
