  • This study tries to test the research model that proposes the relationship among environmental fit, job satisfaction and job performance by hotel chefs' personality types. The sample for the study is 300 chefs extracted from eight five-star hotels in Seoul metropolitan area. Self-administrated questionnaires are distributed and 287 usable questionnaires are collected and used for the analyses. To test the hypotheses, MANOVA and stepwise regression analysis are used besides such basic analyses as frequency, descriptive, exploratory factor, reliability and cluster analysis. The study results show that environmental fit differs significantly by the hotel chefs' personality types and these personality types affect job satisfaction significantly. In addition, it is found that the hotel chefs' environmental fit influences their job satisfaction, which subsequently affects job performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of employees' career development in the hotel industry on person-job fit and job satisfaction. Based on total 353 employees obtained from empirical research, this study reviews the reliability and fitness of the research model and verifies a total of 3 hypotheses using the AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model test are also analyzed using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=563.417(p<0.001), df=236, CMIN/DF=2.387, RMR=.070, GFI=.881, AGFI=.848, NFI=.921, CFI=.952, RMSEA=.065. The SEM results show that employees' career management (${\beta}$=.138), career plan ${\beta}$=.284), and career identity (${\beta}$=.437) among employees' career development plans have significant positive effects on person-job fit. Also, employees' career management (${\beta}$=.238) and employees' person-job fit (${\beta}$=.637) have significant positive effects on job satisfaction. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate students' satisfaction with, perceived ease of movement of, and perceived fit of high school girls' uniforms according to the uniform design. "P" high school, with a one-piece dress-type uniform, and "H" high school, with a two-piece type uniform, were selected for this study. Sixty-five female students from each school participated in the study. The questionnaire was composed of 21 questions about the school uniforms' purchase behavior, design, fit, ease of movement, and modification and participants' demographic information. Students from both schools were generally satisfied with the uniform design. However, in the open-ended response section, many "P" high school students responded that the fact that the one-piece dress pulled up when sitting or raising the hand made it uncomfortable. On the other hand, "H" high school students responded that the skirt was uncomfortable, because it left the body or underwear exposed when the wind blew due to the many pleats in the skirt. In the assessment of the ease of movement, "P" high school students were more likely to describe the uniform as uncomfortable than "H" high school students. Many students responded that they modified their school uniforms, and the length of the skirt and one-piece dress was the main part that was modified. This study suggests that growing female high school students are unsatisfied with the school uniforms' design and fit. Additionally, the perceived fit and satisfaction levels depend on the uniform design.

The Participants of this study were 208 college students. The result was statistically treated using SPSS 21.0 program, Amos 21.0. Additionally, PROCESS Macro was used to verify the significant mediating effect. Results from structural equation modeling analyses indicated that a research model produced a better fit to the data than a alternative structural model. The final SEM model fit indices of $x^2$(df), CFI, TLI, RMSEA were met the acceptable criteria of model fitness. In other words, among the goodness-of-fit indexes of the final study model, $x^2=261.075$(p<.001), RMSEA is .082, TLI equals .925, CFI equals .940. The results showed the following: First, Parental attachment has a direct effect on autonomy, competence and relatedness. • This study investigates the wearing trend and purchase facts for adult females in their 20s and 30s along with their fitting satisfaction for woven jackets and circular knitted jackets. A questionnaire survey on consumers investigated satisfaction with jackets according to clothing materials and repair trend after wearing. Subsequently, a preference for circular knitted jackets was shown higher than woven jackets. Females in their 20s preferred woven jackets than those in their 30s; however, the latter preferred circular knitted jackets than the former. For woven jackets, they showed the highest satisfaction with size; however, for circular knitted jackets, they showed the highest satisfaction with fitting. In the question on their satisfaction by jacket part, satisfaction with circular knitted jackets was higher in all items except for bust measurement, bottom edge measurement, elbow circumference, shoulder width, and clothes length. Circular knitted jackets had lower repair rates than woven jackets and woven jackets had significant differences by age in satisfaction with back width. The research results indicate that females in their 20s and 30s who value fit preference and practicality will increasingly wear knit clothes. Therefore, we can address the fitting satisfaction requirement of females in their 20s and 30s by taking the clothing material properties of circular knitted clothes into consideration. In addition, further research is required on jacket patterns in consideration of clothing materials.

The study methodology was questionnaire survey and the subjects were randomly chosen, 20 to 49-year-old female shoppers at department stores in Beijing, China. The data analyses were performed with SPSS 12.0 through descriptive analysis, t-test, and crosstab analysis. The findings were as follows. Chinese women assessed both the fit satisfaction and fit suitability levels of Korean-made women's suits available in China to be higher than that of Chinese-made women's suits. Paticularly, in the tan of slacks showing the lowest suitability level among Chinese-made women's wear, Korean-made women's suits in China had outstandingly high suitability level. In the case of jackets, however, the Korean-made women's suits went through more fixings, on average, than Chinese-made women's suits. In addition, more fixings were done for enlargement than for contraction, which necessitated the measure changes.

  • Purpose - Our study aimed to examine the roles of conflict management in maintaining a sustainable good relationship between joint venture (JV) partners. Although the concepts of relational capital, mutual commitment, and cultural adaptation have been neglected in previous research on interorganizational relationships, we treated them as inter-partner fit mechanism capabilities of affecting the level of satisfaction in a relationship with a JV partner. Design/methodology - In order to test hypotheses, we sent a questionnaire to Japanese firms operating JVs in South Korea and asked whether their levels of satisfaction with their JV partners increase when conflict management techniques are used to reduce the conflicts that usually arise between partners. Findings - The results of our study suggested that it is important for firms participating in a JV to construct and reinforce an inter-partner fit mechanism that enables them to maintain a favorable partnership. In addition, we suggested that relational capital, cultural adaptation, and mutual commitment influence conflict reduction and the level of satisfaction experienced in JVs. Moreover, the results showed that conflict management has a significant effect on developing soild partnerships and performance in JV situations. Originality/value - We advanced a new paradigm about conflict management and suggested methods of research propositions that are well grounded in the latest findings in conflict management research pertaining to JVs.

Short women experienced more restrictions on clothing design (or length) selection because a short stature. Hip girth was more important to decide a good fit for tall women versus short or medium women. Armhole and slacks width from crotch to knee were important parts to decide a good fit for short women.
