In spite of the importance of a fishing industry, neither any terminology defined in details nor academic systems to educate the workers in the fishery were established in the fisheries social education. The fisheries social education was considered to be the practical area around the actual fields. Therefore, on-site education was very important. Accordingly, this study collected and analyzed theoretical basis of a social education and data on the rural adult education and examined the actual status of the fishing industry in Korea and fisheries extension services enterprise and fisheries developmental enterprise corresponding to the actual fisheries social education conducted in Korea. On the basis of these frames, this study summarized the direction for the progress of fisheries social education that has not been studied until now for the purpose of suggesting the future directions of the fisheries social education as follows; The recognition on the importance of fisheries social education and fundamental researches in the fisheries social education should be extended. The practical development of fisheries social education should be realized. Fisheries extension services enterprise should be evolved by fishermen. The abilities of instructors in the fisheries social education should be improved. The academic factors in the fisheries social education should be emphasized. Inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches should be adopted. Various programs should be developed for the progress of the fisheries social education. The exclusive department in charge of the fisheries social education should be established. The information system for the fisheries social education should be secured. The industry, academic organizations and the organs should make cooperation. The fisheries social education should be provided by general social education institutions for the progress. The fisheries development should be deployed on the basis of environmental preservation. It is necessary to deploy the new fishing village movement like the Saemaul movement to the fisheries. The administrative and financial supports for the fisheries social education should be expanded. It is essential to cultivate the future fishermen for the international competitiveness.

The purpose of this study was to study literature research on the possibility of education for social justice. First, the principle and rule of education for social justice were unfolded on the basis of contents that education for social justice has to emphasize freedom, democracy, equality of opportunity, and economic growth, and has to be student-centered, collaborative, experienced, knowledged, and practical. Second, the curriculum of education for social justice were unfolded on the basis of contents that education for social justice has to emphasize skills for reading the world and skills for activism, and has to emphasize human rights, democracy, and reservation. And third, the teacher education for social justice were unfolded on the basis of contents that education for social justice has to emphasize care, justice, critique, anti-bias education, critical pedagogy, multicultural education.

This study aims to explore the direction of design for narrative curriculum of 'The social practices-based education'. In chapter 2, this study addresses the theoretical criteria for social practices, social practices-based education and narrative curriculum and identifies their characteristics. In chapter 3, the association between social practices and narrative curriculum is identified through a study on the relation between social practices and narrative curriculum. In chapter 4, this study investigates the 5 steps of designing narrative curriculum's templet proposed by C. Lauritzen and M. Jaeger (1997), based on which this study intends to explore the direction of design for narrative curriculum.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of self-efficacy and social support on career decision level for fisheries and merchant marine high school students. And it will help improving the Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' career decision level. To achieve the purpose of this research, the study carried out a survey targeting 456 fisheries and merchant marine high school students. Analysis methods includes Frequency Analysis, One way ANOVA, t-test, and Regression Analysis and data was analyzed by PASW Statistics 18. The results are as follows: First, fisheries and merchant marine high school students' self-efficacy and social support were generally positive. Second, The effects of the grade, the major and the school of students on self-efficacy showed statistically significant difference. Third, the higher self-efficacy and social support of students were, the higher career decision level was. Lastly, The effects of self-efficacy and social support on career decision level were valued positive.

The main purpose of this study is to explore a social capital paradigm which can be applied to many forms of social capital and intangible goods. The social capital paradigm introduces a new form of capital. This new form of capital produces a flow of socio-emotional goods that have value. Moreover, these socio-emotional goods can attach themselves to the objects used to convey them and change their value and meaning. This change in value and meaning is defined as attachment values. Exchanges of socio-emotional goods occur in networks where social capital resides. Formal and informal institutions provide order and meaning to exchanges of tangible and intangible goods. Social capital is a powerful resource that makes our choices interdependent. The social capital paradigm does not alter or contradict the basic economic theories of exchange. While the social capital paradigm accepts that selfish preferences motive many actions, it adds that sympathy and the desire to consume socio-emotional goods are powerful motivators. In case of marine affairs, ocean and fishing villages and their culture have been not only a fundamental basis of fisheries development but they also have made a great deal of contribution to forming social capital. In spite of this fact, the main reason that the problems of fisheries fishing villages fishermen in our society are kept at a distance is because they have been loosing their capability of forming social capital and producing socio-emotional goods, in addition to lowered relative economic share.

The purpose of this study was to classify the standard classification of fishery occupations base on KECO(Korean Employment Classification of Occupation) in Korea. The result of this study was as follows. First ranks was fisheries duties, second ranks were classified into five categories. That were administration duties management duties financial affairs duties, social service duties marketing duties individual service duties, construction duties civil engineering duties, machinery duties manufacture duties repairing duties, production duties. Third ranks classify based on second ranks. Administration duties management duties financial affairs duties were classified fishery administration, fishery management, fishery financial affairs. Social service duties marketing duties individual service duties were classified fishery social service, fishery marketing, fishery individual service. Construction duties civil engineering duties were classified fishery construction, fishery civil engineering. Machinery duties manufacture duties repairing duties were classified fishery machinery duties, fishery manufacture, fishery repairing. Production duties were classified fishery processing, marine products, fishery environment. Fourth ranks was classified according to third ranks.
Most of the changes that make paradigm shift have been involved international level problems related to environment, resource and structure problems in these days. Resolving those common issues the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization(UN FAO) has played most important role in fisheries with publishing the series of the technical guidelines for responsible fisheries papers. The guidelines for responsible fisheries have introduced for applying the concept of sustainable development with considering overall changes in fisheries domains. And also have objectives that establishing the discipline of fisheries worlds. Although these papers are remarkable, there is still few research or education contents of them in Korea. Fisheries business administration is a kind of social science that influenced by environmental, social changes so called paradigm shift. So one of the most important thing that has the education of sustainable development is accommodation or adaptation of them with grasping the phenomenon continuously. The aims of this study are exploring the FAO's the technical guidelines for responsible fisheries documents and contents of college's fisheries business administration and finding out the overall systematic topics and themes of fisheries business administration education. The result of this study shows that the contents of fisheries business administration did not including the concept of responsible fisheries even were out of date in using statistical data. And there is some missing issues that including fisheries policy, resource management, and related law should be enhanced. This study suggests the framework of fisheries business administration with comparing analysis on FAO's document and college's course of study in Korea. The proposed framework of major topics of fisheries business administration that still needed to be improved should be a milestone of understanding and debating the core factors of fisheries business administration education and research.

Notwithstanding Korea and P. R.China are located in the neighborhood each other geographically, the break of diplomatic relations of them continued a long term, and the difference of ideology and social structure of two countries was acting as a barrier to understand each other in many fields. Two countries established formal diplomatic relation in 1992, and then the interchange and mutual cooperation between both countries are being performed rapidly, but the field of fisheries education and research system is continuing in the early stage yet. It can be easily expected that the interchange and mutual cooperation in the field of fisheries through the ocean contribute not only to the international friendship, but to the rational management of fisheries resources. In accordence with the necessity mentioned above, the author considered the general situation of fisheries education and research system in P. R. China. P. R. China runs two kinds of fisheries education system which are regular and irregular system. The regular education system is the principal means of cultivating fisheries scientists and technicians. And there are three grade levels in regular education : the tasks of which are undertaken by the fisheries universities, fisheries colleges and fisheries high schools. Adult education system in fisheries are of the following types : fishery cadet training courses, evening schools, correspondence courses and broadcasting or TV programs. The fisheries research in P. R. China is undertaken by the research institutes under the Bureau of Aquatic Products, and the basic research of oceanography is undertaken by the oceanographic institutes under the Chinese Academy of Science.

The Fisheries business administration is not only the social sciences in the education of fisheries and marine related fields but also has been lectured and educated in both high school and college level. But there are few studies that have been conducted a comparative analysis on the contents in fisheries business administration education in the continuity and sustainability. The objectives of this study are analysis of contents construction in fisheries business administration and suggestion of systematic structure with comparing the textbook of fisheries business administration in high school and college(Gyeongsang National University and Pukyong National University). The results of study show that some structural contents similarity has been found among the fisheries business administration textbooks though some of the contents are insufficient. And there are lack of recency both data and descriptions in fisheries business administration textbooks and much of time gaps based on publication year. Based on the result of this study, the integrated framework that consist with 5 main contents categories has been suggested for education of sustainable development in fisheries business administration. But still needed to be discussed the range and level of fisheries business administration issues by stakesholders including academic community, researcher and industrial personnel.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediation of ego-resilience in the relationship between social capital and safety awareness safety pursuit behavior of adult learners in order to provide a basis for planning safety education to improve the safety behaviors. The participants were 162 adult learners who participated in the "Go to find safety classroom of citizens" in Changwon city. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires and analyzed with the SPSS-WIN 20.0 program. As a results, first, the mean score for social capital was 3.36(social confidence 3.38, reciprocal norms 3.29, networks 3.22, democratic citizen awareness 3.56), ego-resilience 3.57. Second, social capital was significant correlation ego-resilience(r=.63, p<.001) and safety awareness safety pursuit behavior(r=.44, p<.001). Third, ego-resilience was significant correlation safety awareness safety pursuit behavior(r=.54, p<.001). Forth, ego-resilience had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between social capital and safety awareness safety pursuit behavior. Based on these findings of this study, safety education focusing on ego-resilience and social capital improvement are highly recommended to promote safety behavior in adult learners.
