농촌지역 비점오염물질의 유출 특성 (Runoff Characteristics of Non-point Pollutant Sources in an Agricultural Area Watershed)

  • 본 연구는 강우 시 농촌지역에서 강우유출수와 함께 하천으로 유입되는 비점오염물질의 유출특성을 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 유량의 증감에 따른 수질항목의 상관관계는 SS, T-P, $COD_{Mn}$, BOD, TN의 순으로 상관성이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 강우량, 강우강도, 선행무강우일수에 따라 다양한 유출 특성을 보였다. 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 EMC와 SMC를 산정한 결과 SS, T-P는 강우사상에 따라 높은 EMC 농도변화를 보였고 산술평균농도와 EMC를 비교하였는데 대체적으로 EMC가 더 높은 것으로 나타나 유량의 증감에 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났으나 T-N의 경우 영향이 없는 것으로 보였다. 또, 초기유출 특성을 살펴보면 강우 후반부의 강한 강우강도로 인해 초기세척 개념을 적용시키기 어려운 3차 이벤트와 강우량이 적고 강우강도도 약했던 5차 이벤트를 제외한 다른 이벤트에서 초기세척효과가 관찰되었고 SS > T-P > BOD > $COD_{Mn}$ > T-N 순으로 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 그리고 초기세척비율 계산 결과, 초기 유출수의 30%에 가장 많은 오염부하가 발생하고 대부분 입자형태 즉, SS, T-P의 유출이 뚜렷하므로 저류지를 통해 초기 강우유출수의 비점오염물질을 제거하는 것이 바람직하다고 판단된다. 본 연구를 통해 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 비점오염물질의 유출특성에 대한 다양한 데이터베이스를 구축하여 향후 비점오염원을 체계적으로 관리함으로써 하천 수질을 개선하려는 노력이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

Two-dimensional energy transmitting boundary in the time domain

  • The energy-transmitting boundary, which is used in the well-known finite element method (FEM) program FLUSH, is quite efficient for the earthquake response analysis of buildings considering soil-structure interaction. However, it is applicable only in the frequency domain. The author proposed methods for transforming frequency dependent impedance into the time domain, and studied the time domain transform of the boundary. In this paper, first, the estimation methods for both the halfspace condition under the bottom of the soil model and the pseudo three-dimensional effect were studied with the time domain transmitting boundary. Next, response behavior when using the boundary was studied in detail using a practical soil and building model. The response accuracy was compared with those using viscous boundary, and the boundary that considers the excavation force. Through these studies, the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed time domain transmitting boundary were confirmed.

도시 지역특성을 고려한 빗물받이 유입구의 막힘계수 산정 (An Estimation of Clogging Factors at Stormwater Grate Inlets with Consideration of Urban Area Characteristics)

  • Urban storm water collection and conveyance systems are critical components of the urban infrastructures. During a storm event, street grate inlets are usually loaded with debris by the first-flush runoff volume. Grate inlets are subject to clogging effects. Effective interception area of grate inlets was decreased by clogging. It also decreased the interception capacity of grate inlets and increased the inundation area in street. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the clogging characteristics and interception capacity change by clogging for appropriate design and management of grate inlets. In this study, field survey was executed to investigate debris and clogging pattern of grate inlet in 9 areas. The clogging factor with consideration of urban area characteristics was estimated with the field survey results.

Effect of Chip Spacing in a Multichip Module on the Heat Transfer for Paraffin Slurry Flow

  • The experiments were conducted by using water and paraffin slurry to investigate the effect of a chip spacing in the multichip module on the cooling characteristics from an in-line $4{\times}3$ array of discrete heat sources which were flush mounted on the top wall of a channel. The experimental parameters were chip spacing in a multichip module, heat flux of simulated VLSI chip, mass fraction of paraffin slurry, and channel Reynolds number. The removable heat flux at the same chip surface temperature decreased as the chip spacing decreased at the first and fourth rows. The local heat transfer coefficients for the paraffin slurry were larger than those for water, and the chip spacing on the local heat transfer coefficients for paraffin slurry influenced less than that for water. The enhancement factor for paraffin slurry showed the largest value at a mass fraction of 5% regardless of the chip spacing, and the enhancement factors increased as the chip spacing decreased. This means that the paraffin slurry is more effective than water for cooling of the highly integrated multichip module.

도시유역내 오염물 축적에 관한 연구 (Development of Pollutants Accumulation Model in Urban Watershed)

  • The physical characteristics of suspended solid in urban watersheds are estimated and are described the accumulation processes on the urban surface. And build up the accumulation model which has two parameters and three constants. Two parameters are $p_0\;and\;p_{max'}$, and three constants are landuse, clean and traffic constant. Suggested model is applied three industry watershed which has variable area. And simulated results are compared with observed data. The model estimates the real phenomenon and the results are pretty good. The simulated accumulation mass are 1.20, 0.96 and $2.88g/m^2$. The differences of simulation and observation data are about 30%.

합류식 하수관거 월류수의 지표미생물 배출 특성 (Discharge Characteristics of the Indicator Microorganisms of Combined Sewer Overflows)

  • Combined sewer overflow (CSOs) is a primary diffuse source degrading water quality of urban streams. In this study, CSOs caused by 5 different rainfall events at an urban watershed located in Daejeon city were monitored for the indicator microorganism concentrations. Event mean concentration (EMC) of the indicator microorganisms were: total coliform = $2.46{\times}10^6CFU/100mL$; fecal coliform = $1.01{\times}10^6CFU/100mL$; E.coli = $5.20{\times}10^5CFU/100mL$; and Fecal Streptococci = $6.08{\times}10^5CFU/100mL$. In addition, coliform concentrations were well correlated with suspended solid concentrations and the first flush effects were identified. Settling tests were carried out to estimate removal rate of indicator organisms by sedimentation from CSOs. As microorganisms are discharged in association with suspended solid, ten minutes of settlement can lower 44% of indicator microorganism leading.

  • Recently, blocking harmful contents such as adult images has been widely researched. However, most of adult image blocking methods use flush color model without shape information. In this paper, we present a new adult image blocking methods based on shape and color information. In the first step, the shape is considered. In the second step, adult images are detected using skin color model. Considering both shape and color, the detection rate can be increased. We evaluate adult image detection performance using sample images.

Methods of Computing Change Times of Dynamic Workflow Changes

  • A workflow is a flow of work carried out by multiple people. In order to increase efficiency, it is re-quired to change the current workflow dynamically. Till now, three types of dynamic changes: flush, abort, and synthetic cut-over (SCO) , have been proposed. How- ever, the performance evaluations for dynamic workflow changes have not been undertaken. To do so, measuring the amount of time cost making a single change (called change time) and comparing the methods for obtaining such times become ever important. In this paper, we first define change time and then propose a computation method individually for each change type. Finally, we evaluate the performance of an example net change by computing the change times.

포장지역내 비점오염물질의 유출특성 (Washoff Characteristics of Nonpoint pollutants in Paved Areas)

  • During the dry periods, many types of pollutant are accumulating on the paved surface by vehicle activities and accumulated various pollutants are inflowing to the near watershed areas for the rainfall periods. Also, the metals, toxic chemicals and sediments originated from bridges could be strongly influenced to the watershed areas during the runoff. The result shows that the EMC ranges for 95% confidence intervals in a bridge land use are $10.12\sim128.09mg/L$ for TSS, $6.07\sim21.15mg/L$ for BOD, $2.10\sim6.70mg/L$ for TN and $0.06\sim0.85mg/L$ for TP.

합류식 하수관거 월류수 발생특성 연구 - 아산시 모종처리구역을 중심으로 (Study on Characteristics of CSOs in Asan City)

  • 본 연구에서는 아산시의 모종처리구역을 대상으로 합류식 하수관거 월류수의 발생특성을 파악하고자 유량 및 오염물질 발생경향, 오염물질별 상관관계 등에 대하여 살펴보았다. 조사 결과, 강우시 월류 발생초기의 오염물질의 농도는 강우에 의한 초기세척현상(First Flush)에 의해 상당히 높게 나타났으며, 강우초기의 높은 오염물질의 농도는 강우에 의해 희석되어 일시적으로 낮아졌다가 높은 강우강도에 의하여 급격히 상승하였으며, 이후 오염물질의 농도는 유량의 감소에 따라 점차적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 수질항목별 상관계수를 보면, SS와 TP의 상관계수가 가장 크게 나타났으며, COD와 TP, SS와 COD의 순으로 상관계수가 높은 것으로 나타났다.
