'기체의 색깔'에 대한 초등 예비교사들의 인식 조사: 교육대학교 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 (The Pre-service Teacher's Conceptions of 'the Color of Gases': Focusing on the Survey from Freshmen at a National University of Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the elementary pre-service teachers' conceptions of 'color of gases' focusing on the survey from freshmen at a National University of Education. For the study, the views about 'color of gases' were surveyed from the pre-service teachers. And the responses were analyzed based on the patterns. The results from the study are as follows: First, the conceptions about 'color of gases' were divided into 2 top-level, 5 mid-level and 7 sub-level categories. Second, the number of students who answered 'certain gas has color' was significantly greater than those who answered 'every gas has no color'. However, only a small number of students who answered former understand the scientific meaning of color and the color of gases correctly. Third, out of 5 misconception categories, greater number of students answered with 'inaccurate scientific knowledge (Ma1)', so the category was classified again into five detailed sub-categories. Fourth, most of the students, who answered 'every gas has no color', stated "they have not seen any color gases through their lives" based on their own experience. Fifth, the distribution percentage for scientific conceptions vs misconceptions was not related with the students' gender but highly related with students' academic area and their science courses taken at high school. Sixth, the pre-service teachers have various types of misconceptions regarding the 'color of gases' and when they have to explain visibility of gases to other people they tend to pass on their misconceptions. Based on the results from the study, some educational guidelines were suggested.

신문기사에 나타난 인공지능 담론에 대한 주제범주 분석 (Analysis of Subject Category on Artificial Intelligence Discourse in Newspaper Articles)

  • 이 연구는 최근 주목을 받고 있는 인공지능에 관한 사회적 담론에 어떤 주제적인 특성이 있는지를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 우리 사회에 알파고 충격이 있었던 2016년부터 2017년 6월까지, 18개월 간 조선일보와 한겨레에 보도된 신문기사를 분석대상의 텍스트로 선정하였다. 전체 525건의 신문기사에 나타난 1,210건의 메시지들에 대해 주제범주를 코딩하였다, 구분한 주제는 7개 대범주, 62개 중범주, 그리고 하위의 소범주 주제들로 구성되었다. 인공지능의 담론을 구성하는 대범주는 AI 연구, AI 적용영역, AI기업(사업), AI 시대, AI 쟁점, 알파고 사건, AI 기타의 주제들로 파악되었다. 대범주로 코딩된 메시지들의 내용을 대상으로 세부적인 주제분석을 시도하였으며, 그 결과로 나타나는 주요한 특성은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인공지능 담론을 구성하는 주제범주의 범위와 내용이 다양하고 복잡하였다. 둘째, 안전하고 유용한 인공지능을 구현하기 위해서는 일자리 소멸의 문제, AI의 오류나 오용에 따른 부작용의 문제 등과 같은 사회정책적인 쟁점들의 해결이 중요하다. 셋째, 인공지능의 시대에서 인간의 역할, 적합한 인재양성을 위한 교육체제의 혁신도 난이도가 높은 쟁점들이다.

기술 경쟁력 평가를 위한 정성적 산업기술 수준지표 개발 (Development of the Qualitative Industrial Technological Level Indicator to Evaluate the Technology Competitiveness)

  • How to measure technological level has concerned research analysists for a long time. Many methods exist, and they all have their advantages and disadvantages according to how they are used. The purpose of this study is to develop qualitative indicator to measure industrial technological level, in particular manufacturing capacity. In this indicator, the two basis of technology classification and the concept of the technology competitiveness were introduced. First, the types of technology are classified as three classes : material technology, processing technology and product technology. Second, the characteristics of technology are divided into the three categories : core technology, peripheral technology and sprouting technology On this basis, the qualitative technological level was made in terms of the competitiveness of it's manufacturing capacity. This study should be a practical approach for application of measuring of technological level.

질병단계에 따라 암환자, 돌보는 가족원, 간호사의 간호요구 지각 비교 (The Comparison of the Perceived Needs between Patients with Cancer, their Caregivers, and Nurses According to the Cancer Patient,s Phases of Illness)

  • This descriptive study was conducted to ascertain whether the needs of patients with cancer, their caregivers and their nurses changed according to the illness phases and if the perceived needs of the three groups were different for three categories of nursing needs. At two hospitals in Seoul and Choongnam, three groups of subjects, -patients with cancer(79), caregivers(92), and nurses(72) - responded to a questionnaire consisting of items on educational need(11 items), physical need(8 items), emotional need(9 items) using a 4-point Likert scale. The patients and caregivers were selected according to the phase of the cancer (initial, intermediate or recurred, terminal phases). Finding revealed that the level of perception and degree of satisfaction of the needs were low, just around two points in patients and caregivers. Of the three categories of needs, physical needs were received the highest score and the degree of satisfaction of physical needs was also the highest. There was no significant difference between the level of perception and satisfaction of needs in patients and caregivers according to the phases of the illness and the degree of per reception and the satisfaction of the patients were not significantly different and caregivers showed the same result. There was a significant difference in the level of importance of the needs of nurses according to the phases of the cancer. They perceived emotional needs were the most important in first phase and second phase, physical needs in third phase and the educational needs were more important in the first phase than in any other phase. The degree of importance of needs was significantly lower than the degree to which needs were addressed, according to the nurses response. In a comparison of patient and caregiver's perceived degrees of need, and need satisfaction, and nurse's perceived degree of need provision, patient and caregiver scores were lower than the nurses.

생활양식이 포장폐기물 재활용 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Lifestyle on Recycling of Package Wastes)

  • The purpose of this study, thesis is to find out the main cause which influences recycling behaviors regarding package wastes. For this purpose, it discusses the difference of recycling behaviors based on socio-demographic factors and lifestyle categories and, it analyzes the relative influencing power of socio-demographic factors and lifestyle on recycling. The results are as follow: First, recycling behaviors on grounds of socio-demographic factors showed considerable difference as regards to age and income. At the income level of 3 Million Won (per month) and the higher the age, recycling behaviors were well established. Second, recycling behaviors based on lifestyle categories demonstrated considerable difference. While the pragmatists and sincere-devoted showed quite positive recycling behaviors, the social activity-oriented and other-directed fashion-pursued did not. Third, the most influential factor on recycling was the parsimony-oriented lifestyles.

Exploring Differences in Clothing Shopping Orientation by the Level of Self-Esteem and Body Cathexis

  • The purpose of this study was to examine differences in clothing shopping orientation among female adults according to their level of self-esteem and body cathexis. The subjects included 460 women ranging in age from 20 to 69, living in the Daegu area. The data was analyzed by frequency, factor-analysis, mean calculation, ANOVA and the Duncan-test using the SPSS-package. The overall results are as follows: First, clothing shopping orientation fell into five categories: 'hedonic', 'trend conscious', 'store-patronizing', 'economic', and 'independent' shopping orientation. Second, there were measurable differences in clothing shopping orientation related to one's level of self-esteem. Third, there was a significant difference in clothing shopping orientation according to the one's level of body cathexis. It appears that high levels of body cathexis do predict a tendency towards a more 'independent' clothing shopping orientation.

보육시설장의 변혁적 리더십이 보육교사의 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Child Care Center Director's Transformational Leadership on the Organizational Commitment of the Child Care Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the child care center director's transformational leadership on the organizational committment of the child care teachers. The research subjects were 292 child care teachers who worked in 43 facilities of the eastern part of Jeon Nam Province. The data analysis was performed by using SPSS Win 15.0 Program. The results of this study were as follows. First, the teachers rated the transformational leadership of the director as 2.39 points in a scale of 5 points which was recognized as a normal level. Among the transformational leadership categories, the category of vision setting was the highest and the category of setting an example was the lowest. Second, the level of organizational committment of the teachers is rated 3.70 points in a scale of 5 points. Among the organizational commitment categories, the category of normative committment was the highest and followed by the category of affective and continuance commitment. More transformational leadership was related to more organizational commitment from teachers.

A Study on the Definition of the Term "Tectonics" in Architecture

  • This paper attempts to identify the term "tectonics" comprehensively by collecting and categorizing existing definitions of tectonics within the architectural area rather than to stress the concept of tectonics of each specific theorist. Although no consensus of opinion on the concept of tectonics exists, architectural tectonics was closely related to the following terms in three categories: 1. $techn\acute{e}$, technique, and technology; 2. construction and structure; and 3. stereotomics. Based on its etymology, system, and material construct, the notion of tectonics common in these three categories signifies "the art of framing construction," in which linear elements are connected with joints and clad or infilled with lightweight material. Thus, the art of framing construction, as a common concept of tectonics, reveals the following characteristics: First, tectonics is based on framing construction in contrast to piling-up construction as the etymology of tectonics signifies the art of carpentry. Then, the term tectonics, dealing as it does with a higher level of construction rather than the mechanical level of structure, incorporates the poetic aspect of techne as well as the rational aspect of technology. Third, Owing to the organic, double system of tectonic frame and incrusting or infilling materials, the tectonic body becomes both the ornament and the structure simultaneously. As the art of framing construction is based on material construction rather than structural or ornamental form, this paper proposes that one can view tectonics as a term that conveys the meaning of the actual material effect on space.

HKIB-20000 & HKIB-40075: Hangul Benchmark Collections for Text Categorization Research

  • The HKIB, or Hankookilbo, test collections are two archives of Korean newswire stories manually categorized with semi-hierarchical or hierarchical category taxonomies. The base newswire stories were made available by the Hankook Ilbo (The Korea Daily) for research purposes. At first, Chungnam National University and KISTI collaborated to manually tag 40,075 news stories with categories by semi-hierarchical and balanced three-level classification scheme, where each news story has only one level-3 category (single-labeling). We refer to this original data set as HKIB-40075 test collection. And then Yonsei University and KISTI collaborated to select 20,000 newswire stories from the HKIB-40075 test collection, to rearrange the classification scheme to be fully hierarchical but unbalanced, and to assign one or more categories to each news story (multi-labeling). We refer to this modified data set as HKIB-20000 test collection. We benchmark a k-NN categorization algorithm both on HKIB-20000 and on HKIB-40075, illustrating properties of the collections, providing baseline results for future studies, and suggesting new directions for further research on Korean text categorization problem.

중등단계 공업계열 직업교육기관 교사의 직무 인식 (A Study on the Job Specifications of Teachers Working at Secondary Level Technical Vocational Education Institutes)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 중등단계 공업계열 직업교육기관 교사의 직무(직무 영역과 영역별 직무 내용)를 구명하고, 구명된 직무에 대해서 교사가 인식하는 직무 중요도, 곤란도, 수행 빈도를 분석하고자 한다. 중등단계 공업계열 직업교육기관 교사의 직무를 도출하기 위하여 관련 문헌을 고찰하여 이론적으로 구안하였다. 구안된 직무의 내용을 현장 교사 전문가 16명과 교사 교육 전문가 3명의 검토를 통하여 직무 모형을 완성하였다. 직무 모형을 바탕으로 최종 조사 도구를 개발하였으며, 조사 도구는 설문지를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중등단계 공업계열 직업교육기관 교사의 직무 영역은 7개(중영역 포함 10개)로 교과지도, 학생지도, 학급 경영, 교육과정 편성 운영, 교무 행정 업무, 대외 협력 및 현장 실습지도, 전문성 신장으로 구성되었다. 확인적 요인분석을 통해 교과지도 영역은 수업 준비 및 계획, 수업 운영, 학습 평가 3개 영역, 학생지도 영역은 교과외 학생지도, 생활지도 2개 영역, 학급 경영, 교육과정 편성 운영, 교무 행정 업무, 대외 협력 및 현장 실습지도, 전문성 신장으로 공업계열 직업교육기관 교사의 직무 영역은 총 7개 영역(중영역 포함 10개 영역)의 46개 하위 요인으로 구성되었다. 둘째, 중등단계 공업계열 직업교육기관 교사가 인식하는 직무 중요도는 4.10으로 전반적으로 높게 나타났고, 곤란도는 3.45로 보통 이상으로 나타났으며, 수행 빈도는 3.12로 보통 수준(한 달에 1-3회 정도 수행)으로 나타났다. 직무 중요도가 높은 영역은 학습 평가(4.32), 수업 준비 및 계획(4.28), 전문성 신장(4.27), 수업 운영(4.26), 생활지도(4.25), 학급 경영(4.17), 대외 협력 및 현장 실습지도(4.12) 영역 등의 순으로 나타났다. 곤란도가 높은 영역은 대외 협력 및 현장 실습지도(4.07), 교육과정 편성 운영(3.73), 전문성 신장(3.55), 생활지도(3.48), 학습 평가(3.35), 교과외 학생지도(3.22) 영역 등의 순으로 나타났다. 직무 수행 빈도가 높은 영역은 학급 경영(3.88), 수업 운영(3.77), 생활지도(3.52), 교무 행정 업무(3.40), 수업 준비 및 계획(3.17) 영역 등의 순으로 나타났다.
