  • By this time, Diode Rectifier or SCR has been used to gain DC Voltage for Electrolysis Power. Generally DC Voltage is produced from rectifier shall be transformed before rectifier using step-down transformer to obtain adaptable DC Voltage, rectifier output. In the same way, rectifier using SCR shall obtain output voltage after step-down voltage through transformer and control of the SCR firing angle. Transformer shall be used for this two methods to adjust the voltage. But the size and weight of the transformer are increased in accordance with the increase of capacity, and the hardships are accompanied in workspace or transportation. Besides, only the value of input voltage is possible to be regulated, and the expectation of current control is almost impossible during Electrolysis. This study has conducted Design and Simulation to reduce the size and weight of transformer and to be enable voltage and current control of Electrolysis power through high-speed switching using Inverter, Electronics device.

MgO Properties Depending on E-beam Evaporation Rate and Its Effects on the PDP Discharging Characteristics

  • Effects of the evaporation rate of MgO films using electron beam were investigated on the MgO properties and the discharge characteristics of the plasma display panel (PDP). The evaporation rate was changed from 3 ${\AA}/sec$ to 15 ${\AA}/sec$ at a substrate temperature of $300\;^{\circ}C$. MgO properties such as crystal orientation, surface roughness, contact angle, and film structure were inspected using XPS, AFM, drop shape analysis and SEM. We also studied the relation between MgO properties and PDP discharging characteristics. The minimum firing voltage and maximum efficacy were obtained at evaporation rate of 5 ${\AA}/sec$. In the MgO film deposited at 5 ${\AA}/sec$, (200) orientation was most intensive and surface roughness was minimum.

  • The main drawback of parallel type active power filters (APFs) is the large capacity required for harmonic compensation. This paper evaluates the APF capacity requirement for harmonic/reactive power compensation for thyristor converter load. Theoretically achievable maximum power factor under partial load is evaluated. it is shown that the APF capacity can be considerably reduced by deliberately limiting the peak current, while maintaining the filtering performance with an acceptable total harmonic current level. the minimum capacity requirement of APF with current limiting is evaluated as a function of the firing angle of thyristor converter and short circuit ratio(SCR).

Wetting Phenomena between Sealing Glass and Free Cutting Steel (접합유리와 쾌삭강간의 Wetting 현상)

  • The effect of the several variables on wetting of AISIB1113 steel by molten glass was studied by Sessible-drop method. Experimental variables were temperature, firing atmospheres, Fe2O3 addition to the sealing glass and steel surface conditions. The degree of wetting in terms of contact angles between molten glass and metal tested at different test conditions was analyzed by using Young's equation. The results showed that contact angles in H2 atmosphere in the glass metal systems were high but in N2 atmosphere, were small for studied glass metal systems. Especially, when the glass drop was in contact with oxidized steel in N2 atmosphere, The best adherence with contact angle of approximately 9°was obtained. In the case of Fe2O3 addition in glass contact angles subtantially increased due to the increase of surface tension of glass. Wetting phenomena were also discussed under the basis of these experimental results.

  • In general, the voltage stability of induction generator is lower than synchronous generator. Induction generator has a number of advantages over the synchronous generator on the side of price and maintenance. So Induction generator has been applied to the small hydroelectric power of low output. Induction generator usually generates a high current during grid connection. The high current that occurs during grid connection can cause a voltage drop in the system. In order to increase the supply of the induction generator, it is necessary to propose a method of reducing high current. This paper proposes some method of the soft start to reduce voltage drop caused by the large starting current. soft-start method has high voltage drop effect than direct start method, control of firing angle can be increased the voltage drop effect.

  • In this paper, a new mehtod of reducing harmonics that involved in input AC line currents or in output DC voltage of the converter system is presented. which is due mainly to the quipment of 2-3 switching taps on interphase reactor. In case that the 3 tap method is applicable to conventional 12 pulse converter, it could not bring to an effect of reducing harmonics under firing angle 15\ulcorner To solve these problems, 24 pulse or 36 pulse converter is controlled by microprocessor. The former is performed in 2 tap method when \ulcorneris less than 15\ulcorner the latter in 3 tap method when it is more then 15\ulcorner Therefore the originality of this paper liea in microprocessor based equipment of the 2-3 switching taps on interphase reactor. I applied this method to the 12 pulse converter, and proved validity of that theoretically and experimentally.

  • I본 연구에서는 마이크로프로세서에 의한 3상 전파 제어정류기의 점호각 제어회로를 설계하였다. 제어회로는 8비트 마이크로프로세서, 점호신호 발생 ROM, Presettable카운터, N분주 카운터와 PLL IC 등으로 구성되어 있다. PLL 원리를 이용하여 주파수 체배회로를 구성하였기 때문에 점호각이 넓은 범위의 전원 주파수에서 제어될 수 있고 간단한 제어알고리즘으로 인해 처리시간이 줄어들므로 빠른 응답특성을 가질 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 기본 동작원리와 회로의 동작 특성에 대하여 설명하였고 좋은 동작 특성을 실험을 통해서 확인하였다. 이러한 동작원리는 싸이클로컨버터, 3상 교류 전압 조정기, dc 서보제어기와 다른 제어 시스템 등에도 적용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.

Some empirical equations were made as follows on condition with Jackleg Drill (Bit Gage 36mm) and within 30 meter distance between blasting site and structures. $V=K(D/W)^{-n}$ N=1.60 - 1.78 K= 48 - 138 Project is one of contineous works to above a determination of empirical equation on the cautious blasting vibration with Crawler Drill (70-75mm) in long distance. $V=41(D/\sqrt[3]{W})^{-1.41}$ $30m\le{D}\le{100m}$ $V=124(D/\sqrt[3]{W})^{-1.66}$ $100m\le{D}\le{285m}$.

  • In this paper, we persents a new PAM method without the input transformer for reducing harmonics in input AC line currents of converter. This system can reduce the harmonics like conventional 12-pulse converter. the dual bridge circuits are controlled with the shifted firing angle and connected 2 tap interphase reactor. the input current using 2 tap changing on interphase reactor is controlled with the different two values in order to make the input current waveform 12 pulses. The chracteristics of this system were confirmed through the computer simulation and the experiments.

  • This paper deals with the slip power recovery system using switch mode converter in the inverter DC side, which recovers slip power of induction machine to AC line with the aid of the boost converter. As a results, the motor speed can be controlled by the duty ratio of boost switch, not by inverter firing angle. This results that the reactive power produced by phase controlled inverter and diode rectifier can be greatly reduced and linear speed regulation can be obtained. Moreover, the harmonic components of line current caused by the commutation in inverter and rectifier can be considerably suppressed. Therefore, most of the problems in conventional system can be solved.
