소방관의 직무스트레스가 우울 및 피로에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Stress with Depression and Fatigue of Firemen)

  • 본 연구는 전국 지역 소방서에 종사하는 918명 소방관을 대상으로 직무스트레스와 우울 및 피로도와의 관련성을 규명하고자 하였다. 설문방법은 자기기입식 방법으로 조사하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 15.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 상관분석, 다단계 다중회귀분석, 공분산 구조분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 직무스트레스 변수를 범주화 시켜 우울 및 피로도를 설명하는 구조에서 직무 및 정서스트레스가 우울증 및 피로도에 직접적으로 가장 큰 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 소방공무원들의 우울 및 피로는 직무스트레스와 유의한 관련이 있었다. 우울과 피로의 감소를 위한 적절한 스트레스 관리대책이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

  • 본 연구는 일부 소방직공무원들의 스트레스 및 피로 수준을 파악하고, 스트레스와 피로에 관련된 요인을 구명하고자 청주시의 소방공무원 262명을 대상으로 구조화된 무기명 자기기입식 설문지(self-administrated questionnaire)를 이용한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 전체 조사대상 소방공무원들의 사회심리적 스트레스 수준은 잠재적 스트레스군이 12.2%, 고위험스트레스군이 87.5%이었으며, 건강군은 한 명도 없었다 피로수준은 중앙값을 기준으로 구분하였을 경우, 낮은 군이 51.1%, 높은 군이 48.9%를 차지하였다. 단계별 다변량 회귀분석 결과 사회심리적 스트레스에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 주관적인 건강상태, 직장생활만족도, 직무요구도, 음주상태 등이 선정되었으며, 피로수준에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 주관적 건강상태, 규칙적인 운동여부 등이 선정되었다. 이상의 연구결과는 소방공무원의 사회심리학적 스트레스나 피로수준이 대단히 높은 것을 시사하며 여러 요인들이 관여하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 소방공무원들의 스트레스나 피로를 감소시키기기 위한 건강증진프로그램의 개발 및 시행이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

소방공무원 공개채용시험에서의 학점이수제 도입방안에 관한 연구 (The Research on the Introduction of Unit Completion System into the Opened Examination for the Fire Service)

  • 본 연구는 소방공무원 공개채용시험의 자격기준을 보완하여 소방공무원의 자질 및 전문성향상에 기여하고, 소방조직의 발전을 도모하는데 목적이 있다. 현행 소방공무원 공개채용시험에서는 일반직 공무원의 시험과 대부분 동일한 과목으로 이루어져 있어 무분별한 경쟁을 초래할 우려가 있다. 이는 결국 소방공무원의 전문성이 결여되어 대 국민 서비스 질 저하로 인한 사기저하의 원인으로 작용할 수 있다. 소방안전관리학과 학생과 소방공무원을 대상으로 설문을 작성 분석하고 각종 문헌 자료 등을 토대로, 소방공무원 공개채용시험에서의 소정학점을 이수한자에 한하여 시험자격을 부여하는 학점 이수제를 통하여 채용 후 발생되는 자질부족과 업무에서 오는 전문성결여 및 이로 인한 스트레스 등의 문제를 해결해야 할 것이다. 또한 소방조직의 전문성을 높여 우리나라가 선진소방에 한 층 더 가까워지는데 기여할 것이다.

소방관의 근골격계 증상과 직무 스트레스에 관한 연구 (The study for musculoskeletal symptoms and job stress in firemen)

  • Firemen are directly exposed to various harmful chemicals, physical factors and mental stress during rescue and fire-fighting. In fire extinguishing, unstable posture, poisonous gas, dust, high temperature and heavy equipments are possible hazardous factors. The alertness for emergency, shift work, job strain and stress are also possibly hazardous. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the prevalence of musculo-skeletal symptoms and job stress and to determine risk factors in firemen. This study was carried out in a group of 226 firemen in Busan City, Korea. Standardized Nordic Questionnaire was used to investigate the prevalence of musculo-skeletal symptoms and Psycho-social Well-being Index (abbreviated PWI) was used to investigate the prevalence of job stress. General and occupational characteristics were included education, marital status, alcohol and smoking history, working duration, and work shift system. Body mass index (BMI) scores were calculated by physical examination including height and weight. Concerning musculo-skeletal complaints, the commonest site was neck, and shoulder, lower back, upper back were the next. Complaint site above one area of body was about 80%. From multiple logistic regression analysis, working duration was significant variable in musculo-skeletal symptoms. Odds ratio were 15.4 in working duration. About 16.8% was high risk stress group. From multiple logistic regression analysis, shift work and alcohol drinking were significant variables in PWI scores. Odds ratios were 2.25 in shift work. Accordingly, interventions are needed for health promotion of long term and shift worker.

Mapping을 이용한 소방방재력 및 재해취약성의 연구 (Research on Disaster and Fire Response Capability and Hazard Analysis Using Basic Mapping Method)

  • The fire department has one of the most important role as public resources of response to disasters in the aspect of supply and the adequate distribution of resources of response is essential, but the distribution of the response capability to disaster of fire department does not reflect the regional hazard vulnerability and hazard risks. Researchers performed database process with simple mapping based on the regional fire disaster response capability and the regional hazard vulnerability and hazard risks. The cities and towns are divided to four types each, total eight types and relative threat ratios are extracted from every type. The fire disaster response capability was extracted from number of firemen and fire vehicles in defined region. The distribution of the fire disaster response capability was inadequate and not matching to relative threat especially in small cities and some types of towns. The regional relative threat and resources should be analyzed by more delicate mapping and software development in the future.

  • Fire is a disaster of uncertainty, but since it is an artificial disaster essentially, this study is to emphasize that prevention and suppression of fire should be done more efficiently to develop the national love and trust of fire fighting. And it examines small neighboring living facilities which can be the typical dead ground of fire fighting based on researcher's experiences, intuition and related materials. The main course of the study defines the concept of fire fighting administration, dead ground and small neighboring living facilities. compares and analyzes fire fighting at small neighboring living facilities and the whole fire fighting cases and divides the causes of dead ground of fire fighting into preventive administration and suppressive administration sides. Those causes were resulted from discrepancies of political and social structures, but some of them can be improved depending on firemen's efforts. In addition, the means available for preventing the dead ground of fire fighting based on analyzed causes are suggested. Institutional approaches should be consulted with related agencies and legalized, but most managerial approaches can be introduced easily. Other means are approached for PR.

  • 본 연구논문은 지방자치단체에서 재난관리에 관한 총괄 조정업무를 담당하고 있는 일반 행정직공무원과 긴급구조업무를 담당하고 있는 소방공무원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 재난대응훈련에 관한 인식을 조사하였다. 설문조사결과 두 직렬공무원 모두 재난대응훈련에 동원되는 장비 및 훈련에 필요한 예산의 확보, 유관기관 사이의 네트워크 구축, 실제상황 및 지역특성의 반영, 훈련평가결과는 재난대응매뉴얼 및 다음 훈련에 반영, 훈련에 필요한 지휘통신 시스템의 확보 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

응급구조사의 스트레스와 건강과의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between the Stress and Health of the Emergency Medical Technician)

  • This study was done to examine the relationship between stress and coping methods of 86 emergency medical technicians with the 1st or 2nd grade qualifications who serve at 36 fire stations in Gwangju and Jeonnam region from Aug. 1 to Aug. 31, 2001. Data collection was done by questionnaire. The research instruments used the stress measure tool developed by Cho Hee et al.(1999) and revised and complemented by the researcher to measure firemen's stress, and health instrument revised by Suh Mi Hye et al(1993). Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation using SPSS. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The mean score of perceived stress was 3.4. The mean score of coping methods was 2.11. 2. The levels of stress according to the general characteristics of subjects were significantly different at marital status(t=7.054, p=.009) and in relation with organization(t=3.989, p=.049). 3. The relationship between levels of stress and health status was significantly correlated(r=.325, p=.000), and so the hypothesis of this research, "the less levels of stress, the better health status is." was supported. 4. The relationship between stress and health status was significantly different at crisis status(r=.393, p=.000), relation with organization(r=.348, p=.001), the characteristics of subjects(r=.387, p=.000), special knowledge and technology(r=.337, p=.001), and the roll complication as a professional(r=.343, p=.001).

Application of Deep Learning: A Review for Firefighting

  • The aim of this paper is to investigate the prevalence of Deep Learning in the literature on Fire & Rescue Service. It is found that deep learning techniques are only beginning to benefit the firefighters. The popular areas where deep learning techniques are making an impact are situational awareness, decision making, mental stress, injuries, well-being of the firefighter such as his sudden fall, inability to move and breathlessness, path planning by the firefighters while getting to an fire scene, wayfinding, tracking firefighters, firefighter physical fitness, employment, prediction of firefighter intervention, firefighter operations such as object recognition in smoky areas, firefighter efficacy, smart firefighting using edge computing, firefighting in teams, and firefighter clothing and safety. The techniques that were found applied in firefighting were Deep learning, Traditional K-Means clustering with engineered time and frequency domain features, Convolutional autoencoders, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Deep Neural Networks, Simulation, VR, ANN, Deep Q Learning, Deep learning based on conditional generative adversarial networks, Decision Trees, Kalman Filters, Computational models, Partial Least Squares, Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Edge computing, C5 Decision Tree, Restricted Boltzmann Machine, Reinforcement Learning, and Recurrent LSTM. The literature review is centered on Firefighters/firemen not involved in wildland fires. The focus was also not on the fire itself. It must also be noted that several deep learning techniques such as CNN were mostly used in fire behavior, fire imaging and identification as well. Those papers that deal with fire behavior were also not part of this literature review.

샌드위치패널 창고 소방대원 현장활동 대응력 제고 방안 (A Study on the Improvement of Field Activity for Firemen in Sandwich Panel Warehouse)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 샌드위치패널 창고의 화재예방 및 현장소방대응력 제고를 위한 단계별 대응방안 제시를 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 화재현장 관련 소방관 인터뷰와 소방전문가의 자문 및 방호성능 실험을 수행하여 현장대응력 강화를 위한 요소별 대책을 도출하였다. 연구결과: 창고 소방안전관리자용 화재안전관리 체크리스트 및 샌드위치패널 창고의 벽 방호용 스프링클러 설치기준을 제시하였다. 아울러 현장출동 소방관을 위한 샌드위치패널 창고 화재적용 표준작전절차를 수립하였다. 결론: 본 연구를 통하여 가연성 구조 창고의 화재 예방, 방호 및 진압에 대한 단계별 화재안전대책을 구축하였다.
