In the past vaporized gases from a carrier were burned or used for fuel. Due to the movement of bigger LNG carriers and using diesel engine, it is limited that ways of deposing vaporizes gases from the carrier by the act of environment. For getting over the problem, a reliquefaction process is considered. Even though the reliquefaction process was created to three generation process, it has been researched and developed to optimize the process. Basically the reliquefaction process is compartmentalized into Reverse Brayton Cycle System and Claude Cycle System. This research is focused on the reliquefaction efficiency with the systems and changing equipments arrangement by using HYSYS. The result could be use for a design of a reliquefaction process.
The objectives of the study mainly concentrated on identifying the political implication on genetically modified crops considering production potentials and problems. It is found that the comprehensive evaluation of the genetically modified crops could not be concluded and compromised in a word on account of the polarization and parallelism of the positive and negative benefits of genetically modified crops just like as the rail way. The genetically modified crops will be contributed to solving the food shortage problems in the world, when the issues such as food safety, ecological disturbance and loss and degradation of biodiversity can be guaranteed in transparency. And when the trade morality of the multi-national enterprises be accepted by the genetically modified crops consumers, the potentiality of genetically modified crops will be realized greatly. By the way, the first problems will be expected to be solved by scientific development. If the food safety of the genetically modified technology be verified in transparency, it will be greatly contributed to solve food problems of human beings in the world. But the second problem could not be expected to be easily solved from the view point of capital property. In conclusion, the genetically modified technology will be made a severe sense of incongruity and a seed of fire on it will be remained persistently. According to the results based on the analysing the genetically modified crops potentiality and problems, it was identified that the ex-ante preparation of counter-measures and actions on it should be necessary. Accordingly this study has recommended that how and what the R&D policy on genetically modified crops be established and suggested how to carried out the industrial and economic policy together with international negotiation, and organizational and institutional rearrangement and etc.
In this paper, the stress and strain characteristics of a helmet shell structure have been analyzed by using the finite element method and Taguchi's design method as functions of the material properties, the thickness of a helmet, the thickness and the number of a bead frame. The optimized design of the helmets for a firefighter and a gas worker is very important for increasing the strength safety and an impact energy absorption capacity of a helmet shell due to an impulsive external force. Thus, the optimized design data of the helmet indicated that the uniform thickness of a helmet shell may be reduced for reducing the total weight of a helmet and increasing the strain energy absorption rate, but the thickness and the number of a bead frame would be increased for increasing the impact strength of the helmet.

Course correction munition are a weapson system for precision attacks and are assembled by applying a ballistic control system to existing projectiles. The roll control system is a subsystem of the ballistic control system and is placed between the guidance and control units inside of the projectile, which undergoes a 5000g lateral acceleration. Thus, it is very important to design the system to endure this load. Many developed countries evaluate the performance and safety of course correction munitions' parts using live-fire gun launch tests or a soft recovery system. However, these methods are expensive and slow. Thus, in this study, we develop impact analysis model of the roll control system using CAE. We apply the code to simulate impact phenomenon and use Johnson-Cook material model for modeling the high strain rate effect on the materials. We also design bearings in detail to analyze their behavior and verify the reliability of CAE model through gas-gun impact tests of the roll control system.

Objectives : This study is to check the quality of Moschus products in Korean markets using a chromatographic analysis. Methods : We collected musk products, two genuine products from Russia (A, B), two authentic products from Hong Kong (C) and Korea (D), the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) standard (E), and two fire ants products (E, F). Results : For identification, TLC analysis of 60% ethanol extracts of each product showed that A, B, C, and E have the suitable patterns before color development at 365 nm UV light for the MFDS regulation in Korea. A clear red spot was observed from the E at Rf 0.6 with 365 nm UV light after color development, but this spot was not found in A and B. For the purity test, a distinct violet spot with Rf 0.87 was observed from the A and B in TLC analysis of methanol extracts of each product at white light, however, this spot was not matched with the impurities of E and F. In HPLC-UV pattern analysis, a similar peak pattern was shown in A, B and E, and similar peaks were observed C, although the similarity was weaker than that of A, B, and E. The F and G showed different peak patterns compared with the peak patterns of other samples. Conclusions : Hence, it is considered that the test methods need flexibility in application for identification and purity test depending on the type of sample.
The interest in social regulation and its influence on innovation are increasing as the society concerns more for environment and safety. There have been plenty of literature about the impact of social regulation on innovation and its mechanism. Majority of research have been influenced by or based on the famous Porter's hypothesis. However, majority of the literature focus on internal factors such as expected benefits from change of regulations, and it is hard to find one studying social regulation's influence on innovation through external factors such as market or industrial structure. This study addresses this issue of the impact of social regulation on innovation by analyzing the case of fire-retardant coating material for steel structure industry in Korea. It scrutinizes the impact of social regulation which affects competition and innovation on substitute competing market, and tries to reveal that there might exist the other path to innovation, besides the way that the expected benefit from compliance of regulation directly drives innovation. As a result of the case study, we have found that changes in social regulation may act like economic regulation and restructure the market segment and this effect may lead to innovation. It can be explained by the fact that expected benefits from compliance of regulation can be a direct source of innovation, as Porter suggested, but the change of industry structure and competitive strength caused by the change in social regulation can also act as a driving force of innovation.

This study was conducted to establish the optimal electrolyte and bismuth concentrations using bismuth film electrode in laboratory and to confirm the possibilities of using this operational condition for heavy metals monitoring in field. In lab test, heavy metal measurement was not accurate more than 600 ppb when heavy metal (Pb, Cd, Zn) range 100~1,000 ppb was measured with bismuth 2,000 ppb. So, bismuth and heavy metal was reacted about 1:1 with ASV method. In electrolyte test, 0.1 M acetate buffer (pH 4.5), 0.1 M chloroacetate buffer (pH 2.0), 0.1 M HCl (pH 2.0), 0.1 M $HNO_3$ (pH 2.0) was tested. As a results, 0.1 M acetate buffer was most suitable in ASV measurement with bismuth film electrode. In field application, Pb, Cd and Zn was measured respectively 36~45 ppb, 84~91 ppb, 90~98 ppb when heavy metal (Pb, Cd, Zn) 100 ppb was spiked in field sample. These results were identified of matrix effect in field sample, So relationship between heavy metal measurement and matrix effects will be studied.

Owing to the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs), appropriate management of their waste batteries is required urgently for scrapped vehicles or for addressing battery aging. With respect to technological developments, data-driven diagnosis of waste EV batteries and management technologies have drawn increasing attention. Moreover, robot-based automatic dismantling technologies, which are seemingly interesting, require industrial verifications and linkages with future battery-related database systems. Among these, it is critical to develop and disseminate various advanced battery diagnosis and assessment techniques to improve the efficiency and safety/environment of the recirculation of waste batteries. Incorporation of lithium-related chemical substances in the public pollutant release and transfer register (PRTR) database as well as in-depth risk assessment of gas emissions in waste EV battery combustion and their relevant fire safety are some of the necessary steps. Further research and development thus are needed for optimizing the lifecycle management of waste batteries from various aspects related to data-based diagnosis/classification/disassembly processes as well as reuse/recycling and final disposal. The idea here is that the data should contribute to clean design and manufacturing to reduce the environmental burden and facilitate reuse/recycling in future production of EV batteries. Such optimization should also consider the future technological and market trends.

On April 20, 2010, semi-submersible offshore drilling unit Deepwater Horizon was exploded and sank, and 4.9 million barrels(about 778 thousand tons) of crude oil was spilled into the Gulf of Mexico. As more than one year has been passed since the incident, a lot of investigation reports and lessons learned have been made public and also a lot more will be released soon. This paper studies the final report of the National Commission on "the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling", which was organized by the executive directive of U.S. President Barack Obama, and the interim report of Joint Investigation team of U.S. Coast Guard and BOEMRE of "Report of Investigation into the Circumstances Surrounding the Explosion, Fire, Sinking and Loss of Eleven Members Aboard the Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit Deepwater Horizon". The review is focused on the response to the oil spill. And the paper suggests how to improve national marine pollution response policy. In the paper, the Korean governments is suggested to reinforce the capability for instructing and supervising the responsible party's source control measures, to review how to introduce in-situ burning and vessel of opportunity program into our country, and to continue monitoring on the progress of developments of R&D projects related to oil spill response in the U.S..
