Electrical fire in residential, commercial, and industrial areas occupies 40 percent of overall fire accidents as of the year of 1994. The causes of most electrical fires were studied and, based on this investigation, the principle of the early detection or prediction of the electrical fires is developed. The basic principle is to early detect electrical arcs or sparks caused by faulty connections and insulation failures. the structure of the prediction system based on microcontroller technique is presented.

In this paper, we proposed a forest fires prediction and detection system. It could provide a situation of fire prediction and detection methods using context awareness sensor. A fire occurs wide range of sensing a fire in a single camera sensor, it is difficult to detect the occurrence of a fire. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for real-time by using a temperature sensor, humidity, Co2, the flame presence information acquired and comparing the data based on multiple conditions, analyze and determine the weighting according to fire in complex situations. In addition, it is possible to differential management of intensive fire detection and prediction for required dividing the state of fire zone. Therefore we propose an algorithm to determine the prediction and detection from the fire parameters as an temperature, humidity, Co2 and the flame in real-time by using a context awareness sensor and also suggest algorithm that provide the path of fire diffusion and service the secure safety zone prediction.
Currently, the electric fire prediction system uses PIC(Peripheral Interface Controller) for controller microprocessor. PIC has a slower computing speed than DSP does, so its real-time computing ability is inadequate. So with the basic characteristics waveform during arc generation as the standard reference, the comparison to this reference is used to predict and alarm electric fire from arc. While such alarm can be detected and taken care of from a remote central server, that prediction error rate is high and remote control in mobile environment is not available. In this article, the arc detection of time domain and frequency domain and wavelet-based adaptation algorithm executing the adaptation algorithm in conversion domain were applied to develop an electric fire prediction system loaded with new real-time arc detection algorithm using DSP. Also, remote control was made available through iPhone environment-based app development which enabled remote monitoring for arc's electric signal and power quality, and its utility was verified.

In this paper, we propose a central disaster monitoring system of the forest fire. This system provides the safe-zone and detection to reduce the suppression efforts. In existing system, it has a few providing the predicting of wildfire spread model and speed through topography, weather, fuel factor. This paper focus on the forest fire diffusion model and predictions of the path identified to ensure the safe zone. Also we have considering the forest fire of moving direction and speed for fire suppression and monitering. The proposed algorithm could provide the technique to analyze the attribute information that temperature, wind, smoke measured over time. This proposed central observing monitoring system could provide the moving direction of spred out forecast wildfire. This observing and monitering system analyze and simulation for the moving speed and direction forest fire, it could be able to predict and training the forest fire fighters in a given environment.

In this study, a new function with higher accuracy for fire heat release rate prediction was developed. The 'αt2' curve, which is the major exponential function currently used for fire engineering calculations, must be improved to minimize the prediction gap that causes fire system engineering inefficiency and lower cost-effectiveness. The newly developed prediction function was designed to cover the initial fire stage that features rapid growth based on logistic function theory, which has a more logical background and graphical similarity compared to conventional exponential function methods for 'αt2'. The new function developed in this study showed apparently higher prediction accuracy over wider range of fire growth durations. With the progress of fire growth pattern studies, the results presented herein will contribute towards more effective fire protection engineering.

In this paper, we used a deep learning model to detect and segment flame and smoke in real time from fires. To this end, well known U-NET was used to separate and divide the flame and smoke of the fire using multi-class. As a result of learning using the proposed technique, the values of loss error and accuracy are very good at 0.0486 and 0.97996, respectively. The IOU value used in object detection is also very good at 0.849. As a result of predicting fire images that were not used for learning using the learned model, the flame and smoke of fire are well detected and segmented, and smoke color were well distinguished. Proposed method can be used to build fire prediction and detection system.

Recently, various intelligent application services using artificial intelligence are being actively developed. In particular, research on artificial intelligence-based real-time prediction services is being actively conducted in the manufacturing industry, and the demand for artificial intelligence services that can detect and predict fire and odors is very high. However, most of the existing detection and prediction systems do not predict the occurrence of fires and odors, but rather provide detection services after occurrence. This is because AI-based prediction service technology is not applied in existing systems. In addition, fire prediction, odor detection and odor level prediction services are services with ultra-low delay characteristics. Therefore, in order to provide ultra-low-latency prediction service, edge computing technology is combined with artificial intelligence models, so that faster inference results can be applied to the field faster than the cloud is being developed. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an LSTM algorithm-based learning model that can be used for fire prediction and odor detection/prediction, which are most required in the manufacturing industry. In addition, the proposed learning model is designed to be implemented in edge devices, and it is proposed to receive real-time sensor data from the IoT terminal and apply this data to the inference model to predict fire and odor conditions in real time. The proposed model evaluated the prediction accuracy of the learning model through three performance indicators, and the evaluation result showed an average performance of over 90%.

Among the fire incidents in Korea over the past decade, building fires are the most common, and property and human casualties are the most common. However, the existing fire fighting system does not only inform the location of emergency exits and guide safe routes to help casualties evacuate smoothly. A system was proposed to help successful evacuation by distinguishing vertical and horizontal characteristics using spatial characteristics. In this study, an effective evacuation system was proposed by predicting fires using temperature detection sensors and smoke sensor values, and calculating the optimal evacuation path through the Dijkstra algorithm.

The objective of this study was to create intelligent rail robots that are optimized for facility management and implement digital twin systems for smart road tunnel management. An autonomous surveillance system is formed by combining the sensing platform consisting of railing robots, fixed cameras and environmental detection sensors with the digital twin data platform technology for tunnel monitoring and early fire suppression. In order to develop mobile rail robots for fire extinguishing, we also designed and manufactured robots for extinguishing & monitoring and fire extinguishing devices, and then we examined the optimization of all parts. Our next step was to build a digital twin for road tunnel management by developing continuous image display system and implementing 3D modeling. After constructing prototypes, we attempted simulations by configuring abnormal symptom scenarios, such as vehicles fires. This study's proposal proposes high-accuracy risk prediction services that will enable intelligent management of risks in the tunnel with early response at each stage, using the data collected from the intelligent rail robots and digital twin systems.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to develope smoke detection using AI model for detecting the initial fire in underground utility tunnels using CCTV Method: To improve detection performance of smoke which is high irregular, a deep learning model for fire detection was trained to optimize smoke detection. Also, several approaches such as dataset cleansing and gradient exploding release were applied to enhance model, and compared with results of those. Result: Results show the proposed approaches can improve the model performance, and the final model has good prediction capability according to several indexes such as mAP. However, the final model has low false negative but high false positive capacities. Conclusion: The present model can apply to smoke detection in underground utility tunnel, fixing the defect by linking between the model and the utility tunnel control system.
