In this paper, the properties of concrete using recycled fine aggregate are anlyzed. Five different contents. 0%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% of recycled concrete were used for this study. At curing 280days, compressive strength, dry-shrinkage, static modulus of elasticity and poission's ratio have been tested according to replacement ratio of recycled fine aggregates.
Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) composites with various graphite oxide (GO) contents (0 to 10 wt%) were prepared by sonicating the mixture of PVA and GO, followed by crosslinking with glutaraldehyde. GO was pre-treated with oxyfluorination ($O_2:F_2$ = 8:2) in order to modify the surface of GO to allow it to carry hydrophilic functional groups. PVA/GO composite hydrogels were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer (FT-IR). The morphology of the PVA/GO composite hydrogels and the variations in soluble gel portion were investigated under various GO contents and UV irradiation doses. The variation in the chemical structure of photo degraded PVA/GO composite hydrogels was studied by FT-IR. The photochemical stability of PVA/GO composite hydrogels under UV irradiation was found to improve noticeably with increasing content of uniformly dispersed GO.
Experimental laboratory tests were carried out to assess the effect of fine content and salinity of soils on the measurement of TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry). In the test, using soil columm which was made by PVC pipe with the dimension of 25cm height and 20cm diameter, the salinity variation of soil was controlled by the solution which was dissolved NaCl to destilled water in the range of 0-40g.$L^-1$. The fine content of soil was controlled by kaolinite which was mixed with Jumunjin sand in the range of 0-50% to the total dry weight. The water contents of soil tested were measured with the conventional oven dry method beside TDR and compared the these values to figure out the extent of effect. As the results of tests, it was appeared that the water content measurement by TDR can be affected by the salinity level, fine contents, and the degree of saturation of the soil.
The Integration technique of combining the measurement method with the fine precision of the sensor collecting the satellite-based information to determine the displacement space is available to a variety of diagnostic information. The measurement method by a GNSS with the sensors is needed since there will always be occasional occurrence of natural disasters caused by various environmental factors and the surroundings. Such attempts carried out nationally by distributed torsional displacement of the terrain and facilities. The combination of the various positioning analysis of mm-class for the facility of main area observed is required constantly in real time information of the USN/IoT Smart sensors and should be able to utilize such information as a precisely fine positioning information for the precisely fine displacement of the semi-permanent main facilities. In this study, for the installation of the receiving system, the USN/IoT base line positioning are easily accessible for the target bridges. Transmitting hourly from the received data is also executed in real time using the wireless Wi-Fi/Bluetooth bridges and related facilities to automatically process a fine position displacement. The results obtained from this method can be analyzed by real-time monitoring for a large structure or facilities for disaster prevention.
Industrialization and modernization of the beginning of the IT industry is growing very fast. Since telecommunications industry was developed rapidly, technologies about miniaturization and high-precision of parts have been actively developed to lead information revolution. generally, the entire shear surface of the product applying fine blanking technology must be very precise. Fine blanking is used to save cost by avoiding post-processing of the product. When using press blanking, it spends a lot of money on the production by using many post-processing. Fine blanking typically used in 0.5~18 mm thick steel plate. Because a lot of post-processing cost can be used to process, except for fine blanking. In order to develop components "CHANCE CONTENTS" in the fine blanking process, the purpose of this study is to minimize the edge of the bridge, secured 95% of the material thickness of the shear surface using the 1.6 mm thickness of the material SPCC. Blanking process by introducing after changing thickness through forging process, due to change in vee-rring force and counter force, the experimental amount of depressions and flatness and the shear surface were analyzed.
This study investigates the effect of partial replacement with cement on the properties of blast furnace slag-based mortar. Recycled fine aggregate with various contents was used to activate the hydration of blast furnace slag in the mortar and compared its effect on strength development. Results showed that increasing cement and recycled fine aggregate increased the strength of mortar specimens. However, this study found that the mortar made with partial replacement of river sand with recycled fine aggregate of 20% developed a similar strength to the strength that cement with 10% can achieved.
Paper sludges collected from three different paper mills were physico-chemically analyzed in order to use them as raw materials for making bed soils and seedling pots. The sludge from a fine paper mill contained lots of inorganic pigment particles used for coating, as those from a newsprint mill and a tissue mill had not. It was clearly through XRD analysis confirmed that all sludges included calcium carbonate. The paper sludge from the tissue mill contained the greatest amount of particles, which would contribute to water absorption and nutrient storage. The sludge from the fine paper mill had the highest density due to many inorganic elements. While the ash content and the total nitrogen content were the highest in the sludge from the fine paper mill, the C/N ratio was the lowest in the fine paper mill sludge. All sludges seemed to have insufficient contents of potassium. The sludges from the newsprint mill and the tissue mill showed more silicon contents than that from the fine paper mill. It was concluded that the sludge from the fine paper mill would be able to be the most efficient raw materials for making bed soils and seedling pots and the other two sludges would be more efficient for intensive culture for crops such as rice and grain with additional supplement of nitrogen and other nutrients.
