A Study on Development of Evaluation Method on Riverine Ecobelt (수변 생태벨트 평가방법 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to develop the diagnostic evaluation method of the riverine ecobelt for construction, conservation, and maintenance of the riverine ecobelt. The value indices in the proposed evaluation method are composed of total 5 fields and 19 elements. The 5 fields are flood control, environmental function, growth of plants, ecobelt function, and restoration potential. Flood control field is composed of total 3 elements such as length, width, and density of green area. Environmental function field is composed of 4 elements such as park use, landscape boundary and edge, microclimate control, non-point pollution control. Growth of plants field is composed of 6 elements such as species composition, forest height, stratum structure, vine plants, plant vitality, and succession of plants. Ecobelt function field is composed of 4 elements such as longitudinal connectivity, lateral connectivity, in-stream forest or habitat, roads on bank top. Restoration potential field is composed of 2 elements such as landform and land use of the immediate vicinity. The score system ranging 1~4 was adopted. The weighting parameters of elements were unified with each other. The final grade system ranging 1~5(1: very good~5: very bad) was adopted, and the final grade was evaluated by the mean values of each field. According to the test application of the diagnostic evaluation method of the riverine ecobelt, the final grades showed effectively the real condition of each site.

Development of the Program Evaluation Measurement of Continuing Nursing Education Programs (간호사 보수교육 프로그램 평가도구 개발)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop a measurement tool for evaluation of continuing nursing education programs and to verify its validity for effective management and quality of education programs. Methods: The draft of the evaluation measurement was developed from consultation with professionals, focus group interviews targeting groups of nurses, and individual interviews with education program planners. After 6 professionals examined content validity, 46 items were retained. A pilotsurvey was conducted to confirm the time required to complete the questionnaire and the level of understanding of general content and each item in the questionnaire. Construct validity was verified through exploratory factor analysis of data from a survey with 44 items completed by 452 nurses and 59 education program planners. Results: The final evaluation measurement for continuing nursing education programs consisted of 6 evaluation factors and 36 evaluation items. The 6 evaluation factors included identifying program goals and target groups, program planning, performance, operation and management, program outcomes, and program effectiveness. Conclusion: The evaluation measurement for continuing nursing education programs developed in this study is considered suitable to utilize as an evaluation measurement of the quality of continuing education programs for nurses.

  • A Case of pemphigus bulgaris in buccal mucosa of 48 years old Korean female was reported. Final diagnosis was determined by evaluation of clinical and histopathological finding. The patient could be treated successfully by administration of prednisolone, injection of bethametasone, application of oramedy and irradiation of soft laser.

An Application of Qualitative Preference to Software Quality Evaluation (소프트웨어 품질평가를 위한 정성적 선호이론의 적용)

  • For rational human value judgement and evaluation, provision of clear evaluation data, objective value judgement criteria, and properly generalized methods are required. For instance, this is true for software quality evaluation, and the measure of software quality and the weighting method of evaluation target directly affect final decisions. However it is not easy to find a generalized method for the software quality evaluation or product selection, because of its complex characteristics. In this paper, we apply the qualitative preference method based on quantitative belief functions to find a general weighing method for the software quality evaluation. In particular, the qualitative preference method, in which the differentiated preference expression is possible, is conceptually expanded for general applications in future. For this purpose, we hierarchically differentiate the strong preference relation from the weak preference relation, and show an example of quantification of software quality evaluation on different applications, by comparing the qualitative preference method with AHP. We believe that the application domain of this method is not limited to the software quality evaluation and it is very useful to apply this results to other SE areas, e.g., metric selection with different views and riority determination of practices to be assessed in the SPICE.

Development of Instructional Activity Support Model for Capstone Design to Creative Engineering Education (창의적 공학교육을 위한 캡스톤 디자인(Capstone Design) 교수활동지원모형 개발)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop instructional activity support model for capstone design in order for improving creative engineering education. To do this, having extracted the core idea of capstone design, and elicited core learning activity process, and grasped core supportive factors according to each core learning activity process that elicited, an improved instructional design model for capstone design was then developed through formative evaluation with respect to the draft of the instructional system development model for capstone design. As to major research methods, case analysis, requirements analysis through interview, and formative evaluation by experts were employed, and then research studies were undertaken. The formative evaluation by experts was carried out for two hours in 2007, and the experts participated in the evaluation consisted of total 6 persons: two specialists of capstone design contents, two professionals in field works, and two expert instructional designers in education engineering. Interview results had been reflected in this research when developing final instructional design model for capstone design. The core learning activity process of the final instructional design model for caption design, which developed in this research, comprises following stages: (1) Team building (2) Integrated meeting between industry and academy (3) Analysis of tasks (4) Clarification of tasks (5) Seeking solutions for issues (6) Eliciting priority of solutions (7) Designing solutions and construction (8) Exhibiting outcomes and presentation (9) Gaining comprehensive insights Also, in the core learning activity process, supportive factors that support implementation of each step were presented having been categorized into facilitator (teacher, and professionals in field works), learner and tool, etc.

The Development Process and the Contents of the Self-management Education Program Integrated with Exercise Training (HAHA program) for Older Adults with Chronic Diseases (만성질환 노인을 위한 운동교실 통합 자기관리교육 프로그램(하하프로그램)의 개발과정과 내용)

  • Purpose: This paper presents the development process and the final contents of the sellf- management education program integrated with exercise training (Healthy Aging Happy Aging, HAHA program) for community residing older adults with chronic diseases. Methods: The program evaluation methodology was applied which is an interactive program development process based on needs assessment, formative evaluation, process evaluation and outcome evaluation. The program was developed and revised while the program was implementing to 22 hypertension (HT) and 32 diabetic (DM) participants. Results: The final program has two sub-programs for HT and DM participants utilizing self-efficacy resources. They share four common components; 1) health screening of exercise risks, 2) weekly 1-hour group self-management education classes, 3) biweekly 1-hour group exercise training and 4) a mid-term individual counseling. Both sub-programs were 12-weeks long but have different education and exercise contents. Participants-rated mean satisfaction scores were 3.47/4 and 3.61/4 for HT and DM program respectively. Attendance rate were 83.1% ~ 92.3% for the classes. Conclusion: The HAHA program developed by multidisciplinary team which reflected participants needs was accepted well by participants evidenced by high attendance rate and perceived satisfaction level.

A Study on the Development and Evaluation of Partial Design Project for Computer Network Design Course Utilizing Software Simulator (소프트웨어 시뮬레이터를 활용한 네트워크설계 교과목의 요소설계 과제개발 및 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Normally, people think the results of engineering design project can be seen and be touched, however, it's not easy to develop such design subjects at IT related program. This matter turns into an initiative of Seoul Accord corresponding to the Washington Accord. In this paper, an engineering design project is developed from the lecture course that can hardly develop a touchable project due to the lack of expanse or the own characteristics of the course in the IT related program that follows the Washington Accord. An open-ended design project with the pre-defined design components and realistic constraints is developed for the Computer Network Design course. Each team consisted of 2 or 3 students performs the project for more than 5 weeks utilizing a software simulator, the Packet Tracer. In order to analyze the effectiveness, we have used various evaluation tools such as final presentation, peer evaluation, survey results, and mid/final exams. We concluded that the hard and soft skills of students have been improved considerably through the project.

  • This study, a sub-one of comprehensive research works titled under “Rural Resources Evaluation System”, tried to verify utility/applicability of the developed model system through the case study works on 3 sample villages, Backya, Uyan and Suyu, representing the lowland, upland and seashore villages respectively. From the various surveying and collecting works including the official/statistical data collection, map analysis, insitu investigation, field survey and written material review, the original data set were obtained and manipulated into final input data for resources grading. After then, by the automatized calculation procedure of “Rural Resources Evaluation System”, score results for resources evaluation were finally produced with the total maximum score being 1,000. Through comparing works among score results of 3 case villages and between score results and areal characteristics of each case village, the applicability of the system developed in this study was well confirmed.

의복의 친숙성과 의복인상평가의 변화

  • The aim of this study was to inspect the change of the evaluation scores of the clothing according to the numbers of simple exposure. Two cuts of slides representing a 29-years old female figure clothed either in formal suits or in casual were shown to 41 college female students majoring in clothing and textiles. Questionnaire consisted of 9-point bipolar semantic differentials was given out at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 times of slide exposure. Results were : 1. The evaluation score was the highest after 3 times of exposure . At after 5 times of exposures the score decreased abruptly and increased slightly thereafter. 2. Th evaluation score of the formal suit was higher at the first exposure , but the casual acquired higher score after 3 times of exposure and maintained the superiority thereon. 3. The final score of evaluation of clothing was most similar with the score of after-7-times of exposure, but was almost similar with that of after -5-times of exposure.
