  • This study has been focused on the development of a high speed feeding type three-dimensional bending machine. It is designed for manufacture of copper pipe for heat exchangers. For the purpose of design of the machine, analysis of bending process, structural analysis and reliability evaluation of the machine by a laser interferometer are carried out. The analysis is carried out by FEM simulation using commercial softwares, DEFORM, MARC and CATIA V5. In addition, the machine has attained high accuracy and repeatability. In order to improve the accuracy of this machine, the maximum speed, positioning accuracy and repeatability of feed are measured by the laser interferometer. The final results of analysis are applied to the design of a high speed feeding type three-dimensional bending machine and the machine is successfully developed.

  • It is very important to design the shape of container in HIPing process since the final shape and relative density distribution of the product are decisively dependent on the shape of container. A derivative based approach to determine the shape of container in HIPing process is presented. In this approach the optimal design problem is formulated on the basis of the finite element process. The process model the formulation for process optimal design and the schemes for the evaluation of the design sensitivity and an iterative procedure for optimization are described. In comparison with finite difference scheme the validity of the schemes for the evaluation of the design sensitivity is examined.

  • The objective of this study is to develop the evaluation checklist in the public interior spaces for the elderly and the Disabled people. The propriety and intensity of three architectural codes and two standards were examined by comparing with each other and the score was made according to the value. Findings revealed that Korean accessibility code had more mandatory items than others. The essential items to the handicapped's behaviour should be preserved, but less important things could be reconsidered. Also Korean code stressed the vertical moving equipments. But Swedish code had obligatory items in fire refugees facilities, and American code emphasized the corridor and sanitary facilities. Therefore, American and Swedish mandatory items and recommendations which were not addressed in Korean code and guidelines should be considered to apply to ours by investigating a user's problems and adaptation. This research can be used as a basic checklist for public spaces by users as well as guidelines of final design.

  • The purpose of this study was to segment the clothing customers of new traditional market according to shopping orientation and to clarify the different clothing behaviors among segmented groups. This study may be useful for new traditional marketer to make proper marketing strategies. The subjects for the final analysis were 400 customers who visited Namdaemoon and Dongdaemoon new traditional markets. The statistics used for analysis were factor analysis, cluster analysis, Cronbach-α, one-way ANOVA, LSD multiple range test and chi-square by the SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The customers of new traditional market were segmented to 5 groups (Diffidence Group, Confidence/Information Group, Active Group, Shop/Brand Loyalty Group and Planned Purchasing Group); 2. The five segmented groups were significantly different in clothing evaluation standards, shop evaluation standards, satisfaction and demographic variables such as sex, age, education and monthly spending money.

  • While considerable research suggests that users' uncertainty gradually decreases, as they proceed through the information seeking process, others argue that it can arise at any stage of their information seeking process. Reflecting the latter view, this study examined user perceptions of uncertainty in the final stage of users' information seeking process, the stage of search results evaluation. Considering the significance of Web search engines for academic study, this study investigated the relevance decision stage of scholarly researchers in the field of science, who use Web search engines for their academic study. Based on the analysis of the users' uncertainty, this study provided implications to improve information systems and Web contents design.

  • This paper provides a method to evaluate the competitiveness based on IT innovativeness considering the adoption phase and shows how to apply the method with a case of foreign market in the early-adoptive phase. The proposed method considers a variety of corporate and market characteristics concerned with the technology adoption, and it consists of several internal and external impacting factors that can influence the level of IT diffusion. Main advantage of this method is the ease of its applicability that allows evaluating the innovativeness, regardless of corporate size, industry type, or level of technology adoption. Therefore, it is possible for this method to evaluate the technology competitiveness easily and repeatedly, in terms of IT innovativeness by inter-organizations and inter-nations. For the case analysis, the Mongolian IT market with several Korean IT joint firms is introduced, and final data resulted from an early-adoptive phase case are analyzed.

  • This research chose 135 environmental cleaners in Busan Metropolitan City as subjects. First, the reality of wearing their safety jackets was investigated. Next, visual evaluation of the reflexive function of the current safety jackets was made. Then, based on the above results and the subsequent improvement proposal, the final product, the research costume, was made. 1. Based on the investigation of the wearing reality of safety jackets and the visual evaluation results of the reflexive function, an improvement proposal was made. As cleaners are usually seen sidewise on the roads and lateral luminosity is rather low, this aspect was compensated on the part of a jacket. Also, the reflexive belt used the diagram of Δ to improve visual effects. 2. As the lower body held the accident frequency of 45.0%, the sides of pants had the reflexive belt to increase visibility. 3. In consideration of the mutual effects between the background cloth and general reflexive width, the same width (5cm) of the reflexive belt as that of Type A was adopted.

  • pH, proximate analysis and functional properties were not significantly affected by reduced salt levels in NFS which contained 7576% moisture, 1415% protein < 0.5% fat in the final products. However, NFSs had differences in color and EM (%) values as compared to RFS, The results of textural test showed that they were not different with reduced salt levels (0.751.5%) among the RFS and no-fat treatments (P>0.05). NFS containing 1.0% salt had similar sensory color, flavor and saltiness values to those RFS. These results indicated that NFSs was successfully manufactured with 1.0% salt level and these may contribute to the 'healthier meat products' for consumers due to no-fat and low-salt meat products.

  • The purposes of this study are to experiment a modified domestic conflict containment program (DCCP) which was initially development for developed by Dr, Neidig on 10 Korean offenders, and to provide practical basement for development of Korean offenders' group. This modified group program is based on cognitive-behavioral and communication theories. The group was leaded by 2 therapists, one female and one male, and continued 12 consecutive weeks, each week for 2 1/2 hours. The evaluation on the program is based on 4 different data: 1) intake form for spouse abuse, 2) group leader's summary on each session based on video taping and an analysis after each session with two probation officers in charge for the offenders, 3) clinical measurement for self esteem (ISE), 4) daily self report on each session and the final evaluation form by the group members. The result was shown consisently that this program achieved the purpose of this study across the all 4 data. Therefore, we suggest our experimental study will be able to provide a practical basement for future development of group treatment model for Korean offenders.

  • A model of an assessment module has been created, using intuitionistic fuzzy estimations, which render account on the knowledge of the trained objects. The final mark is determined on the basis of a set of evaluation units. An opportunity is offered no only fur tracing the changes of the parameters of the trainer object, but there is also an opportunity of tracing the status of the already comprehended knowledge, as well as evaluating and changing the training themes and evaluation criteria.
