  • Recently, mobile devices have been widely used. Therefore, the service users want that are not constrained by time and space. Among them, electronic payment services, mobile finance service is enjoying a tremendous popularity. The FinTech is the result of the fusion of finance and ICT(Information & Communication Technology). Security experts is pointed the FinTech security risk. New technology and Innovative FinTech services are even available, Insecure FinTech services is insignificant. In this paper we were surveyed market and product trends of FinTech and analyzed the threats about FinTech. Also, we analyzed the security considerations for FinTech using a questionnaire. As a result, users considers secure payment process and privacy. Therefore, we proposed security considerations for each vulnerability. So, we must be resolved of security technology and policy issues. If establishing a secure payment process and the unclear legal issue is resolved, FinTech service will provide a secure financial services to the user.

  • Purpose Financial technology, also known as FinTech, is conceptually defined as a new type of financial service which is combined with information technology and other traditional financial services like payments, investments, financing, insurance, asset management and so on. Most of the studies on FinTech services have been conducted from the viewpoint of technical issues or legal and institutional studies, and few studies are conducted from the health belief perspectives and security behavior approaches. In this regard, this study suggest an extended information protection behavior model. Design/Methodology/Approach The Health Belief Model (HBM), the Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), and the Technology Threat Avoidance Theory (TTAT) were employed to identify constructs relevant to information protection behavior of FinTech services. A new extended information protection behavior model in which the influence factors of information protection behavior (i.e., perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, perceived self-efficacy, subjective norms) affect perceived threats and perceived responsiveness positively, leading to information protection behavior of FinTech users eventually. This study developed an extended information protection behavior model to explain the protection behavior intention in FinTech users and collected 272 survey responses from the mobile users who had experiences with such mobile payments and FinTech services. Findings The finding of this study suggests that the influence factors of information protection behavior affect perceived threats and perceived responsiveness positively, and information protection behavior of FinTech users as well.

  • FinTech service industry has been growing rapidly around the world. It has driven innovation in financial and payment service industry with different channels such as mobile based on Information and Communications Technology (ICT). However, FinTech service is vulnerable to different security threats due to use the valuable data such as personal information and financial information. It is undeniable that collection and use of those information may increase the possibility of identity theft or privacy breach. In this paper will develop a self-checklist for the Simple Payment service users (Privacy Pragmatists) who want to make a rational decision to protect their personal information. The checklist is going to let the users assess the personal information protection by performing the assessment themself when they use the service. The body of this paper is going to analyze the items of the checklist and through the analysis, will suggest a security policy for personal information protection of FinTech service.

  • FinTech(Financial Technology) is defined as the technique to create efficient financial services using IT technologies. FinTech is an innovative technology through IT platform and big data, and is expected to improve the security and problems of the conventional banking system. Domestic financial institutions has introduced the technologies and investment in order to provide safe and effective services to users. However, In the financial environment, information disclosure and security incident has occurred so they has lost the trust from their customers. Moreover new variant of the security threats and attack techniques have occurred. Therefore, in this paper, we designed a authentication scheme for secure payment system in FinTech environment. The proposed study evaluated the stability of the existing security systems with respect to attack methods occurred in the financial environment.

  • Recently, because the arrival of the fourth industrial revolution era, many information and telecommunication services have grown rapidly in the mobile business market. So, companies are based Mobile Apps on user customized services and expanding their services. From the standpoint of the business, to generate revenue, the company needs to maintain the existing current computer environment and develop Mobile Apps to offer convenience in various areas such as finance, admiration, e-commerce and sales support. However, as the number of users increase due to expansion of various Mobile services, security threats that are related to Mobile Apps are increasing and its damage is also increasing. Due to the rapid technological transformation of Mobile devices using the Internet, the level of security threats to Smartphones are rising and getting more advance, so this thesis is structured as follows. In Chapter 2, it will look at the overall trends of Mobile Apps as related research. In Chapter 3, it will discuss various security concerns that related to the latest Mobile Apps and learn about the threatening factors. In Chapter 4, it will compare and analyze the threatening factors. Then it will find and suggest the possible plan. In Chapter 5, it will end with conclusion. Finally, to protect mobile devices from security threats, the environment of operating system which manages the resources and data of Apps needs to be protected. Also, it is important that users to have awareness and check activation FinTech technology security in the process of simple payment with fingerprint or IC card.

  • In recent years, there is growing interest in 'Fin-tech' in the domestic and international financial sector. And a variety of services in such a situation has emerged. To ensure the safety of from hacking attacks, many new technologies have been developed. These leading technology is the Bio-authentication method that you consider applying to the financial sector. Bio authentication is using biometric information. Also it is known that can cope the threat of fabrication and modifying attacks with shared and stored. However, Recently, When you look at hacking incidents of biometric data(560 million cases) in the United States Office of Personnel Management and advent of the fingerprints counterfeit technology, We can be known that should be reconsidered about the safety of bio-certification. Especially, it should be provided with a response measures for the problem of embezzlement that biometric information already been leaked. Thereby In this paper, by investigating biometric technologies and practices applied and of the vulnerability factor in many industries, it expected to be utilized in the prepared threats countermeasures in accordance with the application of the biometric authentication technology in a future.

  • With the deregulation of electronic finance, FinTech has been revitalized. The discussion on artificial intelligence is active in the financial industry. However, there is a problem of increasing security threats behind new technologies. Security vulnerabilities have increased because we are more connected than before, and the channels and entities of the financial industry have diversified. Although there are technical and policy discussions on security, the essence of all discussions is human. Fundamentals of finance are trust and security, and attention to human factors is important. This study presents the role of human and artificial intelligence for financial security, respectively. Furthermore, this derives a collaborative model in which human and artificial intelligence complement each other's limitations. To support this, it first discusses the development of finance and IT, AI, human factors, and financial security threats. This study suggests that the security threats will intensify in the era of new technology, but it can overcome them by using machinery and technology.

  • The need for various approaches to non-face-to-face identification technology for registering and authenticating users online is being required because of the growth of online financial services and the rapid development of financial technology. In general, non-face-to-face approaches can be exposed to a greater number of threats than face-to-face approaches. Therefore, identification policies and technologies to verify users by using various factors and channels are being studied in order to complement the risks and to be more reliable non-face-to-face identification methods. One of these new approaches is to collect and verify a large number of personal information of user. Therefore, we propose a big-data based non-face-to-face Identity Proofing method that verifies identity on online based on various and large amount of information of user. The proposed method also provides an identification information management scheme that collects and verifies only the user information required for the identity verification level required by the service. In addition, we propose an identity information sharing model that can provide the information to other service providers so that user can reuse verified identity information. Finally, we prove by implementing a system that verifies and manages only the identity assurance level required by the service through the enhanced user verification in the non-face-to-face identity proofing process.
