Aiming at the problem of non-stationary wind field simulation of downbursts, a non-stationary down-burst generation system was designed by adding a nozzle and program control valve to the inlet of the original wall jet model. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method was used to simulate the downburst. Firstly, the two-dimensional (2D) model was used to study the outflow situation, and the database of working conditions was formed. Then the combined superposition of working conditions was carried out to simulate the full-scale measured downburst. The three-dimensional (3D) large eddy simulation (LES) was used for further verification based on this superposition condition. Finally, the wind tunnel test is used to further verify. The results show that after the valve is opened, the wind ve-locity at low altitude increases rapidly, then stays stable, and the wind velocity at each point fluctuates. The velocity of the 2D model matches the wind velocity trend of the measured downburst well. The 3D model matches the measured downburst flow in terms of wind velocity and pulsation characteris-tics. The time-varying mean wind velocity of the wind tunnel test is in better agreement with the meas-ured time-varying mean wind velocity of the downburst. The power spectrum of fluctuating wind ve-locity at different vertical heights for the test condition also agrees well with the von Karman spectrum, and conforms to the "-5/3" law. The vertical profile of the maximum time-varying average wind veloci-ty obtained from the test shows the basic characteristics of the typical wind profile of the downburst. The effectiveness of the downburst generation system is verified.
Objectives : Computer-based test (CBT) will be introduced in the national examination of Korean medicine doctors from 2023. This study was aimed to provide some information, including prior considerations, to those preparing for CBT, by presenting a summary of the survey results from participants in a CBT simulation test. Methods : In December 2020, applicants from the graduating class of the college of Korean medicine from four universities participated in the simulation test for CBT. An online anonymous survey on the applicants' preference for CBT versus paper-based tests (PBT) was conducted. The questionnaire consisted of multiple-choice questions on a 5-point Likert scale and free-form questions. Results : A total of 176 students responded to the survey. Their response to CBT was generally positive. The item with the highest agreement was that it should provide a sufficient opportunity to experience CBT in the undergraduate exam (4.38±0.839). Concerns about the possibility of cheating or poor concentration were also detected. In addition to guaranteeing the stability of the CBT system, there were many comments expressing the need to supplement functions within the CBT system, including the memo or highlighter function. Conclusions : This study confirmed the feasibility of CBT including multimedia questions in the field of Korean medicine education and identified overall positive responses from those who experienced the CBT simulation test. Although time is short and there is so much to prepare, we hope this will be a leap forward for effective educational innovation in line with the changing environment of the health care education field.
Multi-axial simulation table(MAST) is widely used in motor companies as the multi-axial excitor for vibration fatigue of target component, which provides the vibrational condition as close as the vehicle test. However, the vibration fatigue performance of target component can be guaranteed with MAST system only in case the input profile covers the required severity of the target component on field test. In this paper, the signal processing for multi-axial vibration fatigue test on vehicle component is presented, from the data acquisition of the target component to the derivation of input profile. To compare the severity of vibration condition between field and proving ground, the energy principle of a equivalent damage is proposed and then, it is determined the optimal combination of special events on proving ground using a sequential searching optimal algorithm. To explain the vibration methodology clearly, seat and door component of vehicle are selected as a example.

A numerical simulation has been performed to estimate the transient pressure variation in the tunnel when G7 test train passes through the test tunnel in the Kyoeng-Bu high-speed railway. A modified patched grid scheme is developed to handle the relative motion between a train and a tunnel. Also, a hybrid dimensional approach is proposed to calculate the train-tunnel interaction problem efficiently. An axi-symmetric unsteady Euler solve using the Roe's FDS is used for analyzing a complicated pressure field in tunnel during the test train is passing through the tunnel. Usually, this complex phenomenon depends ell the train speed, train length, tunnel length, blockage ratio between train and tunnel cross-sectional area, relative position between train and tunnel, etc. Therefore, numerical simulation should be done carefully in consideration of these factors. Numerical results in this study would be good guidance to make test plans, test equipments selection and to decide their measuring locations. They will also supply important information to the pressurization equipment for high-speed train.
A comparison study between computational-fluid-dynamics simulation and wind tunnel test for a megawatt-class wind turbine is conducted. For the study, flow-field in wake, basic aerodynamic performance, and effect of the yaw error for a 1/86 scaled-down model of the NREL offshore 5 MW wind turbine are numerically calculated using commercial software "FloEFD" with $k-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model. The computed results are compared to the wind tunnel test performed by the constant-velocity mode for the model. It is shown that discrepancy are found between the two results at lower tip-speed ratio and higher yaw angle, however, the velocity-defection distribution in the wake, the torque coefficient at moderated and high tip-speed ratios are in good agreement with the wind tunnel test.

This paper presents field study and numerical modeling results for a single-cell low-fill concrete box culvert under a flexible pavement subjected to traffic loading. The culvert in the field test was instrumented with displacement transducers to capture the deformations resulting from different combinations of static and traffic loads. A low-boy truck with a known axle configuration and loads was used to apply seven static load combinations and traffic loads at different speeds. Deflections under the culvert roof were measured during loading. Soil and pavement samples were obtained by drilling operation on the test site. The properties of the soil and pavement layers were determined in the laboratory. A 3-D numerical model of the culvert was developed using a finite difference program FLAC3D. Linear elastic models were used for the pavement layers and soil. The numerical results with the material properties determined in the laboratory were compared with the field test results. The observed deflections in the field test were generally smaller under moving loads than static loads. The maximum deflections measured during the static and traffic loads were 0.6 mm and 0.41 mm respectively. The deflections computed by the numerical method were in good agreement with those observed in the field test. The deflection profiles obtained from the field test and the numerical simulation suggest that the traffic load acted more like a concentrated load distributed over a limited area on the culvert. Elastic models for culverts, pavement layers, and surrounding soil are appropriate for numerical modeling of box culverts under loading for load rating purposes.
This paper presents the radar counter jamming algorithm and ground far-field test results for the pull-off deceptive jamming signals like RGPO(Range Gate Pull Off) and VGPO(Velocity Gate Pull Off). We designed the radar counter jamming algorithm according to the characteristics of the deceptive jamming signals. This algorithm is validated by simulation before ground far-field test. The existing X-band AESA radar demonstrator was used to test the proposed algorithm. The proposed algorithm was applied to the radar processor software. The deceptive jamming signals generated using the commercial jamming signal generator. We performed the repeated ground far-field test with the test scenario. Test results show that the proposed counter deceptive jamming algorithm works in the real radar system.
