연속재생 DPF의 재생 성능에 미치는 차량 운행패턴의 영향 (Influence of Driving Pattern on Regeneration Performance of Continuously Regenerating Diesel Particulate Filter)

  • This paper is to investigate the influence of driving patterns of slow and high speed vehicles on the performance of continuously regenerating diesel particulate filter(DPF) system matched with operating conditions in field application. The DPF performance test for field application was carried out for two identical DPFs installed to slow and high speed vehicles. A slow speed vehicle was selected among local buses which have driving patterns to repeat running and stop frequently, while a high speed vehicle was prepared to have long route of high speed over 60km/h like inter-city buses. In this test, the regeneration performance on the DPF of slow speed vehicle deteriorated because of high soot load index(SLI) in spite of same balance point temperature(BPT) distribution for high speed vehicle. The DPF of slow speed vehicle melted in the end because the rapid increase of back pressure caused high temperature over $1200^{\circ}C$ in the ceramic wall of DPF. The PM components like ash collected to the filter in the DPF were analyzed in order to investigate the cause of the defect and provide an operation performance of DPF system. In the result of the analysis, high levels of lubrication oil ash(Ca, Mg, P, Zn) were detected.

Comparison between CFD Analysis and Experiments According to Various PEMFC Flow-field Designs

  • Flow-field design has much influence over the performance of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) because it affects the pressure magnitude and distribution of the reactant gases. To obtain the pressure magnitude and distribution of reactant gases in five kinds of flow-field designs, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis was performed. After the CFD analysis, a single cell test was carried out to obtain the performance values. As expected, the pressure differences due to different flow-field configurations were related to the PEMFC performance because the actual performance results showed the same tendency as the results of the CFD analysis. A large pressure drop resulted in high PEMFC performance. The single serpentine configuration gave the highest performance because of the high pressure difference magnitudes of the inlet/outlet. On the other hand, the parallel flow-field configuration gave the lowest performance because the pressure difference between inlet and outlet was the lowest.

발돌재질에 따른 참조기유자망의 수중거동특성 (The behavior characteristics according to the quality of the sinkers of the yellow croaker drift gill net in the field)

  • As a series of studies about improvement of yellow croaker drift gill net fishing gear and development of the labor saving fishing system, this study analyzed the behavior characteristics of fishing gear, which does use three types of different sinker materials in the field tests. The result of maritime performance test indicated that the fishing gear which used the lead reached the maximum depth and bio ceramics hauled to the surface of water the fastest. The correlation between the sinking time (St) and depth (Dsl, Dsc, Dsb) of maritime performance test can be shown such experimental equations as Dsl=2.70St - 0.75, Dsc = 2.38St - 1.15, Dsb = 1.77St - 4.00. The correlation between the hauling time (Ht) and depth (Dhl, Dhc, Dhb) of maritime performance test can be shown such experimental equations as and Dhl = 7.88Ht + 35.48, Dhc = 7.80Ht + 40.01, Dhb = 7.95Ht + 36.44.

부착방지 택코트 적용에 따른 아스팔트 포장 역학적 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Mechanical Characteristic of Asphalt Pavement with usage of Trackless tack coat)

  • PURPOSES: The purpose of this paper is to evaluate interface performance while using various tack coat materials for asphalt overlay. METHODS : The evaluation was conducted with tracking test, permeability, and interface bond strength. Tracking test was conducted using an image processing technique, to investigate the susceptibility of the tack coat materials. BBS and pull-off test were conducted to evaluate bond strength. The permeability test was conducted to evaluate the effect of tack coat materials. RESULTS : Results reveal that the trackless tack coat material demonstrates less tracking compared to other materials. Moreover, both BBS and pull-off tests can effectively evaluate the bond strength at the interface. RSC-4 was measured less bond strength. Moreover, tack coat prevents water penetration through the surface and aids the extension of the surface life of asphalt pavement. CONCLUSIONS : Trackless tack coat demonstrated a high and consistent bond strength performance. The tack coat types demonstrate marginally different performance as function of curing times. Field applicability was tested based on visual observation. Therefore, these should be considered when trackless tack coat is slightly enhanced the pavement performance based on limited this study results. Finally, it is necessary to allow reasonable time for the tack coat to completely cure.

E-VSB 시스템의 필드 테스트 결과 (Field Test Results of E-VSB System)

  • 본 논문에서는 Zenith/ATI가 제안하여 ATSC DTV 표준 개정안으로 채택된 Enhanced-VSB(E-VSB) 시스템에 대한 필드 테스트 절차 및 결과를 기술하고, 그 결과를 다양한 각도에서 분석한다. 대전에서 수행된 필드 테스트에서는 E-VSB 시스템의 성능 개선 효과를 분석하기 위해 안테나 종류에 따른 실내 및 실외에서의 수신여부, 잡음 마진 및 수신가능 방위각 등을 측정하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 E-VSB 시스템과 기존의 8-VSB 시스템 사이의 상호 호환성(backward compatibility)을 검증하고, 테스트 지점 선정, 송신기 및 측정 차량 구성에 관해서 점검한다. 필드 테스트 결과에 의하면, E-VSB 시스템은 실내 수신과 같은 다중경로가 많은 난시청 환경에서 특히 우수한 성능을 보였을 뿐만 아니라 기존 8-VSB 시스템과 상호 호환성을 유지하였다.

  • IEC 61850 based substation automation system mainly consists of human machine interface as a client and a various of IEDs as a server. Both of them should require the field testing for performance verification including IEC 61850 communication services. This means that the test can assure the interoperability of IEC 61850 based substation automation system consisted of multi vendor's products. This paper shows a research result on the field test of the IEC 61850 based HMI and IEDs. And it proposes some engineering solutions for the system implementation.

On the Large Eddy Simulation of Scalar Transport with Prandtl Number up to 10 Using Dynamic Mixed Model

  • The dynamic mixed model (DMM) combined with a box filter of Zang et. al. (1993) has been generalized for passive scalar transport and applied to large eddy simulation of turbulent channel flows with Prandtl number up to 10. Results from a priori test showed that DMM is capable of predicting both subgrid-scale (SGS) scalar flux and dissipation rather accurately for the Prandtl numbers considered. This would suggest that the favorable feature of DMM, originally developed for the velocity field, works equally well for scalar transport problem. The validity of the DMM has also been tested a posteriori. The results of the large eddy simulation showed that DMM is superior to the dynamic Smagorinsky model in the prediction of scalar field and the model performance of DMM depends to a lesser degree on the ratio of test to grid filter widths, unlike in the a priori test.

폴리머 애자의 End-fitting 설계 및 성능 평가기술 (End-fitting Design and Performance Evaluation of Polymer Insulator)

  • Corona on polymer materials causes deterioration by the combined action of the discharge striking the surface and the action of certain chemical compounds that are formed by the discharges. In the design and manufacture of polymer insulators must be sufficiently large to avoid corona discharges, otherwise a shielding or corona ring (grading ring) needs to be installed on the insulator. To conduct this purpose, many researchers have investigated end-fitting of polymer insulator by voltage distribution simulation and electrical test. Grading rings are used to improve the performance of the insulator in multiple ways. They can reduce corona and associated audible noise and radio influence and television interference. The factors determining the uses of a grading ring are line voltage, geometry and dimensions of end fittings, geometry and dimensions of line hardware, and environmental conditions. In this paper, electrical property of polymer insulator with end-fitting design have been investigated by electrical field analysis, various end-fitting design, tracking wheel test, corona inception voltage and extinction voltage. Electrical field analysis is conducted by FEM program and various end-fitting is designed through this result. Designed end-fittings are manufactured and their performance is conducted by electrical performance test.

원더링 장비 적용을 통한 아스팔트 포장 거동 특성 연구 (A Study on Behavioral Characteristics of Asphalt Pavements using Wandering Measurement Devices)

  • 오늘날 도로포장은 중차량의 증가와 고온현상으로 인하여 도로파손이 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 한국도로공사에서는 시험도로운영센터를 설립하였으며, 여기서는 실제 도로에서의 상황을 모사하여 현장적용성이 우수한 데이터를 얻어 포장의 장기공용성 예측을 보다 효율적으로 하고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 장기공용성 예측을 위하여 원더링 장비를 개발하고자 하였으며 이를 적용, 동적하중 재하시험을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 아스팔트 도로포장의 거동 특성을 파악하였다. 결과적으로 원더링을 적용하여 아스팔트 포장의 거동 특성을 해석한 결과 전 층 단면에서 영향을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 원더링을 적용한 포장의 장기공용성 예측은 기존의 연구방법보다 정확한 예측이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • This study examines the influence factor of flanking transmission in the wall. Generally, there is the difference of airborne sound isolation between laboratory and field test. The purpose of this study is examing the cause of droping sound insulation performance in the field and searching the method of improving sound insulation performance. First, we measured the sound isolation in the wall at the lab. Then, we measured it in the field and compared them. At the base of these datum, we measured the flanking transmission and solid transmission. For the flanking transmission am the wall, we used intensive method. So, we found the influence of solid transmission.
