아크램프를 위한 전원공급 시스템의 연구 (A Study on the Power Supply System for the Arc Lamp)

  • Arc lamps are now widely utilized as illumination sources for a large number of investigations in wide-field fluorescence microscopy. Among many power converters for the lamp, the PSFB (Phase-Shift Full-Bridge) converter with the ZVS (Zero Voltage Switching) is the most widely used soft switched circuit in high-power applications. Also, in the most luminaries, the power factor has to be more and more important. Thus, the power factor correction(PFC) must be included in the power system. A new igniter module using the switching power device and the transformer is proposed instead of the conventional igniter using the mechanical contactor. The proposed converter with the high power factor and high efficiency is verified through the experimental works.

  • In this paper, a SAR-despeck1ing approach of adaptive iteration based a Bayesian model using the lognormal distribution for image intensity and a Gibbs random field (GRF) for image texture is proposed for noise removal of the images that are corrupted by multiplicative speckle noise. When the image intensity is logarithmically transformed, the speckle noise is approximately Gaussian additive noise, and it tends to a normal probability much faster than the intensity distribution. The MRF is incorporated into digital image analysis by viewing pixel types as states of molecules in a lattice-like physical system. The iterative approach based on MRF is very effective for the inner areas of regions in the observed scene, but may result in yielding false reconstruction around the boundaries due to using wrong information of adjacent regions with different characteristics. The proposed method suggests an adaptive approach using variable parameters depending on the location of reconstructed area, that is, how near to the boundary. The proximity of boundary is estimated by the statistics based on edge value, standard deviation, entropy, and the 4th moment of intensity distribution.

  • Membranous obstruction of the inferior vena cava[IVC] is a rare congenital anomaly that may present clinical features of Budd-Chiari syndrome caused by chronic obstruction of hepatic drain. We have experienced a case of IVC obstruction caused by hour-glass constriction and membrane in its center. Operative correction was accomplished using profound hypothermia [20%] and total circulatory arrest of 26 minutes. This technique permitted resection of membrane with direct vision and removal of thrombus of IVC and hepatic vein. After then constricted IVC was repaired with autologous pericardial patch. Total circulatory arrest was used intermittently for good visual field. Postoperative course was smooth and postoperative angiography showed unobstructed flow through the IVC in spite of slight constriction of cavoatrial junction and nearly complete disappearance of collateral vessels.

Analytical solutions to piezoelectric bimorphs based on improved FSDT beam model

  • This paper presents an efficient and accurate coupled beam model for piezoelectric bimorphs based on improved first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The model combines the equivalent single layer approach for the mechanical displacements and a layerwise modeling for the electric potential. General electric field function is proposed to reasonably approximate the through-the-thickness distribution of the applied and induced electric potentials. Layerwise defined shear correction factor (k) accounting for nonlinear shear strain distribution is introduced into both the shear stress resultant and the electric displacement integration. Analytical solutions for free vibrations and forced response under electromechanical loads are obtained for the simply supported piezoelectric bimorphs with series or parallel arrangement, and the numerical results for various length-to-thickness ratios are compared with the exact two-dimensional piezoelasticity solution. Excellent predictions with low error estimates of local and global responses as well as the modal frequencies are observed.

  • In this paper, train running test and lateral resistant force test are conducted before and after sprinkling the ballast stabilizer in order to investigate the dynamic behaviors and parameters of the railroad track. The measured results are used to confirm the effect of the stabilizer and to validate the numerical results. From this paper, it is known that the stabilizer used in this study has excellent effect on increasing the vertical rigidity and the lateral resistance, and some correction factors should be considered on masses and rigidities of the track components in order to calculate the vibration magnitude reasonably due to running train.

Comparative Analysis of the Difference in the Midgut Microbiota between the Laboratory Reared and the Field-caught Populations of Spodoptera litura

  • Midgut microbiota is known to play a fundamental role in the biology and physiology of the agricultural pest, Spodoptera litura. This study reports the difference in the larval midgut microbiota of field-caught and laboratory-reared populations of S. litura by performing 16S rDNA amplicon pyrosequencing. Field populations for the study were collected from castor crops, whereas laboratory-reared larvae were fed on a regular chickpea based diet. In total, 23 bacterial phylotypes were observed from both laboratory-reared and field-caught caterpillars. Fisher's exact test with Storey's FDR multiple test correction demonstrated that bacterial genus, Clostridium was significantly abundant (p < 0.05) in field-caught larvae of S. litura as compared to that in the laboratory-reared larvae. Similarly, bacterial genera, such as Bradyrhizobium, Burkholderia, and Fibrisoma were identified (p < 0.05) predominantly in the laboratory-reared population. The Bray-Curtis dissimilarity matrix depicted a value of 0.986, which exhibited the maximum deviation between the midgut microbiota of the laboratory-reared and field-caught populations. No significant yeast diversity was seen in the laboratory-reared caterpillars. However, two yeast strains, namely Candida rugosa and Cyberlindnera fabianii were identified by PCR amplification and molecular cloning of the internal transcribed space region in the field-caught caterpillars. These results emphasize the differential colonization of gut residents based on environmental factors and diet.

원전 증기발생기 수실 내 에너지 스펙트럼을 고려한 MOSFET 방사선검출기 선량보정인자 결정에 관한 몬테칼로 전산모사 연구 (Monte Carlo Study of MOSFET Dosimeter Dose Correction Factors Considering Energy Spectrum of Radiation Field in a Steam Generator Channel Head)

  • 국내에서는 현재 물리적 인형 모의피폭체와 수십 개의 소형 MOSFET 선량계를 이용하여 유효선량(Effective Dose)을 실시간으로 정확하게 측정할 수 있는 시스템을 개발 중에 있다. 이때 사용되는 MOSFET 선량계는 그 크기가 매우 작으며, 상대적으로 높은 민감도를 가지고 선량을 실시간으로 측정할 수 있다는 장점이 있는 반면, 검출부위가 조직등가 물질이 아닌 실리콘으로 이루어져 있어 저에너지 광자에 대하여 적절한 보정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 몬테칼로 전산모사 방법을 사용하여 증기발생기 수실 내부의 에너지 스펙트럼에 대한 MOSFET 선량계의 선량보정인자 값들을 계산하였으며, 이렇게 계산된 보정인자 값들을 선행 연구에서 구한 값, 즉 0.662 MeV와 1.25 MeV의 광자만을 이용하여 구한 선량보정인자 값들과 비교하여 보았다. 비교 결과, 두 서로 다른 조건에서의 선량보정인자들은 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으며$(\leq1.5%)$, 따라서 선행 연구에서 구한 선량보정인자들을 원자력발전소의 증기발생기 수실에 그대로 적용하여도 큰 문제가 없음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 증기발생기 수실에 대하여 결정된 선량보정인자들을 실측된 MOSFET 선량계의 선량값들에 적용하여 선량보정에 따라 유효선량이 어느 정도 변화하는 가를 확인한 결과, 유효선량은 선량보정인자를 적용할 경우가 적용하지 않을 경우에 비해 약 7% 정도 낮게 평가됨을 알 수 있었다.

레이더 반사도 누적 방법을 이용한 지형에 의한 부분차폐영역의 레이더 반사도 보정 (Correction of Radar Reflectivity over Beam Blocking Area by Accumulated Radar Reflectivity)

  • 레이더 빔 차폐는 송신된 레이더 빔이 지형 및 차폐물로 인해 부분 혹은 완전히 차단되는 현상으로 강수량 추정시 과소추정의 주된 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 레이더 누적반사도지도를 이용하여 지형에 의한 부분차폐영역의 반사도를 보정하였다. 누적반사도지도는 레이더 반사도를 누적하고, 공간적으로 균일한 레이더 반사도 장을 가정하여 작성하며, 빔 차폐를 분석하는데 유용한 자료이다. 차폐분석을 통해 차폐보정지도를 작성하고, 태풍과 장마 사례에 적용하여 차폐가 발생하지 않는 레이더 자료와의 평균분수오차를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 평균분수오차가 차폐보정 전에 20$\sim$35%로 나타났으나 차폐보정 후 7$\sim$10%로 감소하였다.

보정계수 적용을 통한 유역에 대한 ArcSATEEC의 월별 토양유실량 추정 방안 연구 (Monthly Sediment Yield Estimation Based on Watershed-scale Application of ArcSATEEC with Correction Factor)

  • The universal soil loss equation (USLE), a model for estimating the potential soil loss, has been used not only in research areas but also in establishing national policies in South Korea. Despite its wide applicability, USLE cannot adequately address the effect of seasonal variances. To overcome this limit, the ArcGIS-based Sediment Assessment Tool for Effective Erosion (ArcSATEEC) has been developed as an alternative model. Although the field-scale (< 100 ㎡) application of this model produced reliable estimation results, it is still challenging to validate accuracy of the model estimation because it only estimates potential soil losses, not the actual sediment yield. Therefore, in this study, a method for estimating actual soil loss based on the ArcSATEEC model was suggested. The model was applied to eight watersheds in South Korea to estimate sediment yields. Correction factor was introduced for each watershed, and the estimated sediment yield was compared with that of the estimated yield by LOAD ESTimator (LOADEST). Sediment yield estimation for all watersheds exhibited reliable results, and the validity of the proposed correction factor was confirmed, suggesting the correction factor needs to be considered in estimating actual soil loss.

한국 8개 제조산업의 수출과 경제성장에 관한 실증분석:1975-2010 (The Exports and Economic Growth in the 8 Manufacturing Industries: Cointegration and Error Correction Models:1975-2010)

  • 수출증가가 경제성장을 초래한다는 수출주도성장가설에 관한 실증분석은 주로 개발도상국을 대상으로 하여 시계열 또는 횡단면 자료를 이용하여 지난 1970년대 초부터 최근까지 주요한 관심사가 되어 왔다. 이와 같은 수출주도성장가설에 관한 실증분석은 한국을 포함하여 주로 개발도상국가에 해당되는 아시아 국가들을 분석 대상으로 이루어져 왔다. 본 논문은 여러 국가들의 횡단면 분석보다는 한국의 제조산업에 초점을 맞추어 공적분검정과 오차수정모형을 추정하여 산업의 수출증가와 산업의 성장과의 관계를 조명함으로서 수출주도성장 가설을 검정하였다. 생산과 수출에서 비중이 큰 석유화학, 1차 금속 그리고 조립금속 운송기계를 포함하여 8개의 제조산업 중 6개의 제조산업이 양방향의 인과관계성을 보이고 있기 때문에 한국 제조산업에서는 전반적으로 실질수출액과 실질생산액에 사이에서 양방향의 인과성 관계가 존재한다고 결론을 내릴 수 있다.
