하이브리드 PVA 섬유를 이용한 HPFRCC의 휨 성능 평가 (Flexural Performance Evaluation of HPFRCC Using Hybrid PVA Fibers)

  • 일반 콘크리트에 비해 상대적으로 높은 인성과 연성의 특징을 갖는 HPFRCC는 과도한 하중을 받는 구조 부재 혹은, 내구적으로 취약한 부재 등에 사용될 수 있으며, 기존의 연구에 의하면 PVA섬유를 이용한 HPFRCC의 경우 혼입률 2%에서 가장 높은 휨 성능이 나타난다고 알려져 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 길이가 다른 두 종류의 PVA 섬유를 사용하여 상대적으로 짧은 섬유는 작은 균열(microcrack)을, 상대적으로 긴 섬유는 큰 균열(macrocrack)을 보다 효과적으로 제어하는 최적혼입비를 찾기 위하여 전체 PVA 혼입률을 2%로 고정시킨 채 두 섬유의 혼입률을 달리하여 각 혼입비에 따른 압축 및 휨 강도 테스트를 실시하였다. 또한 강섬유와 PVA 섬유를 동시에 하이브리드 보강한 콘크리트 부재에 대해서도 같은 실험을 실시하여 비교 분석하여 가장 높은 휨 성능을 나타낼 수 있는 최적배합을 찾고자 한다. 실험 결과 1.6%의 단섬유(12mm)와 0.4%의 장섬유(30mm)로 이루어진 시편에서 가장 높은 휨 성능을 보였으며, 2%의 PVA 섬유가 혼입된 부재에 대하여 소량의 강섬유 혼입 시 휨 성능이 다소 향상 되지만 많은 혼입량은 오히려 휨 성능의 저하를 초래하였다.

NUTRITIONAL EVALUATION OF MAIZE FODDER AT TWO DIFFERENT VEGETATIVE STAGES

  • Different fractions of maize plant and whole mixed fodder were analysed for their chemical composition and dry matter digestibility (DMD). Highest crude protein (CP) values were found in leaves as compared to the other portions. Younger plants contained more CP as compared to the matured ones. The crude fiber (CF) content of various fractions of the plant ranged between 19.12 to 35.60% with maximum values in the bottom portion of the stem. Matured plants contained more CF. The analysis of cell wall constituents indicated that the maximum values for neutral detergent fiber (NDF) were found in the bottom portion and in the whole mixed plant. The highest levels of acid detergent fiber (ADF) were observed in bottom fraction followed by whole mixed plant, whereas the other plant fractions did not show any differences. Variation in acid detergent lignin (ADL) values existed in different fractions of the plant and the lowest were in the top portion of the stem. Although there existed a variation in the mineral composition of different fractions of the plants, the results were non significant. Maximum DMD was found in leaves followed by the whole mixed plant, middle and bottom portion of the stem. The values of DMD were higher in younger plants as compared to the matured ones. It may be concluded that younger plants and the upper portion of the plants have a higher nutritive value as compared to the matured plants and lower portion of the plants.

AMINO ACID DIGESTIBILITY AS AFFECTED BY VARIOUS FIBER SOURCES AND LEVELS 2. THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FIBER LEVELS AND AMINO ACIDS DIGESTIBILITY

  • A number of correlation and regression analyses were performed on data from apparent and true digestibility of amino acids at ileal and fecal level with finishing pigs, in order to investigate whether these amino acid digestibilities could be predicted with certainly degree on their fiber fractions content (chemical analysis). The data comprised 16 diets varying in 4 levels of crude fiber and from 4 fiber sources. The relationships between fiber fractions including crude fiber (CF), NDF, ADF lignin and cellulose contents on apparent and true digestibility of almost all amino acids in both ileal and fecal level were negative, except glutamine at fecal level. In apparent digestibility at ileal level, the correlations of fiber fractions were moderate (r of NDF = 0.53 to 0.63; ADF, 0.50 to 0.77; cellulose, 0.50 to 0.75), with an exception of CF content was relatively high (r of 0.58 to 0.81). The correlations to true digestibility of amino acids were weaker. In case of at fecal level, the higher correlation (negative) was found with NDF than CF content. Estimations of amino acids digestibility were performed using regression equation. The data showed that apparent digestibility of amino acids could be estimated for almost amino acids except arginine, threonine, valine and tyrosine at fecal level and phenylalaine, valine and glycine at ileal level. The best prediction at ileal and fecal level ($r^2=0.55-0.77$ and 0.52-0.76), respectively was obtained with NDF content. Prediction for true digestibility of amino acids, none of fiber fractions could be estimated for arginine, leucine and valine at all collection levels. At ileal level, CF could be used for most of amino acids except phenylalanine, glycine and praline; cellulose, only for lysine and methionine and NDF, only for proline. At fecal level, glutamine digestibility could be estimated only from CF and ADF content. The best predictor at ileal level was ADF content whereas at fecal level was NDF content. These results indicate that lignin content could not be used as predictor for all amino acids at both levels neither in apparent nor true digestibility.

Characterization of Insoluble Fibers Prepared from the Peel of Ripe Soft Persimmon (Diospyros kaki L. cv. Daebong)

  • The fiber-rich fractions including enzyme treated insoluble dietary fiber, alcohol insoluble solid, and water insoluble solid were prepared from the peel of soft ripe persimmon, and to evaluate and compare the yields, proximate compositions, monosaccharide profiles, and functional properties. The results showed that uronic acid was the main sugar followed by glucose, which indicated that all insoluble fibers were mainly composed of pectic substances and cellulose. The presence of xylose and fucose indicated the occurrence of hemicellulose. All fiber-rich fractions were exhibited high yield and functional properties. Thus, the peel of ripe persimmon could be used as fiber supplements.

Assessment of the Nutritive Value of Whole Corn Stover and Its Morphological Fractions

  • This study investigated the chemical composition and ruminal degradability of corn stover in three maize-planting regions in Qiqihaer, Heilongjiang Province, China. The whole stover was separated into seven morphological fractions, i.e., leaf blade, leaf sheath, stem rind, stem pith, stem node, ear husk, and corn tassel. The assessment of nutritive value of corn stover and its fractions was performed based on laboratory assays of the morphological proportions, chemical composition, and in situ degradability of dry matter (DM), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), and acid detergent fiber (ADF). The chemical composition of corn stover was significantly different from plant top to bottom (p<0.05). Among the whole corn stover and seven morphological fractions, leaf blade had the highest crude protein (CP) content and the lowest NDF and ADF contents (p<0.05), whereas stem rind had the lowest CP content and the highest ADF and acid detergent lignin (ADL) contents (p<0.05). Ear husk had significantly higher NDF content and relatively lower ADL content than other corn stover fractions. Overall, the effective degradability of DM, NDF, and ADF in rumen was the highest in leaf blade and stem pith, followed by ear husk. The results indicate that leaf blade, ear husk, and stem pith potentially have higher nutritive values than the other fractions of corn stover. This study provides reference data for high-efficiency use of corn stover in feeding ruminants.

섬유체적함유율의 영향에 따른 GFRP적층판의 기계적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study about Mechanical Properties of GFRP Laminates depending on Fiber Volume Fraction)

  • Domestic small and medium ship companies have lack of leisure boat technologies and especially they have a problem about its low performance because of the overweight of boat hull. So it is necessary to have alternative manufacturing process to improve the mechanical properties of composite material. In this study, a vacuum curing system was developed as an alternative manufacturing process and then changed the fiber volume fractions of GFRP laminates. The properties of GFRP laminates such as void contents, Young's modulus and fracture toughness were determined for various fiber volume fractions.

Optimal fiber volume fraction prediction of layered composite using frequency constraints- A hybrid FEM approach

  • In this research, a hybrid mathematical model is derived using the higher-order polynomial kinematic model in association with soft computing technique for the prediction of best fiber volume fractions and the minimal mass of the layered composite structure. The optimal values are predicted further by taking the frequency parameter as the constraint and the projected values utilized for the computation of the eigenvalue and deflections. The optimal mass of the total layered composite and the corresponding optimal volume fractions are evaluated using the particle swarm optimization by constraining the arbitrary frequency value as mass/volume minimization functions. The degree of accuracy of the optimal model has been proven through the comparison study with published well-known research data. Further, the predicted values of volume fractions are incurred for the evaluation of the eigenvalue and the deflection data of the composite structure. To obtain the structural responses i.e. vibrational frequency and the central deflections the proposed higher-order polynomial FE model adopted. Finally, a series of numerical experimentations are carried out using the optimal fibre volume fraction for the prediction of the optimal frequencies and deflections including associated structural parameter.

사과의 식이섬유질이 장내세균의 in vitro 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Apple Dietary Fiber on the in vitro Growth of Intestinal Bacteria)

  • 쥐의 사육실험결과 장내 균총 개선에 유효한 것으로 나타난 사과에 대하여 in vitro 배양실험을 통하여 이들의 유효성을 검증하였다. 사과로부터 분리한 crude pulp (CP), total dietary fiber (TDF), soluble dietary fiber (SDF), insoluble dietary fiber (IDF)와 시약용 사과 펙틴을 구입하여 PYF 액체배지에 첨가한 후 주요 장내 미생물의 표준균주들을 단독배양하여 O.D.와 pH를 측정함으로써 그 이용성을 조사하였다. 또한 이들 배지에 흰쥐의 분변 혼탁액을 종균으로 접종하여 혼합배양한 후 주요 장내 미생물의 균총변화를 조사하였다. 대부분의 장내 세균들이 사과의 IDF 첨가구에서보다 SDF 첨가구에서 더 잘 생육하였으며 특히 Bifidobacterium adolescentis, B. animalis, B. infantis, B. longum, B. thermophilum 등 Bifidus균들은 SDF 첨가구에서 비교적 높은 이용성을 나타냈으나 시약용 펙틴을 첨가한 시험구에서는 실험에 사용된 대부분의 균들이 거의 생육하지 않았다. 그러나 흰쥐의 분변 미생물들을 혼합배양하였을 때 사과의 섬유질 특히 수용성 식이섬유질(SDF)과 펙틴질 첨가구에서 포도당 첨가구에 비하여 Bifidobacterium의 수가 다량 검출되었다.

폴리프로필렌섬유 혼입률에 따른 고강도콘크리트 기둥부재의 폭렬 및 내부온도 분포특성 (Spalling and Internal Temperature Distribution of High Strength Column Member with Polypropylene Fiber Volume Fractions)

  • 본 연구에서는 고강도콘크리트의 폭렬 방지를 위해 사용되고 있는 폴리프로필렌섬유의 혼입량에 따른 60 MPa 고강도 기둥 콘크리트의 폭렬현상 및 기둥 내부온도 특성을 평가하였다. 고강도 기둥 콘크리트 공시체의 내화특성 평가를 위하여 ISO-834 가열 곡선을 적용하여 실물 기둥 실험체에 대한 실험을 실시하였다. 폴리프로필렌섬유 혼입량은 1.0, 1.2 및 $1.5\;kg/m^3$을 고려하였다. 실험결과 폴리프로필렌섬유의 혼입량에 따른 최고 내부온도 결과의 차이는 보이지 않았으나 평균 내부온도 결과에 있어서는 폴리프로필렌섬유의 혼입량이 증가할수록 낮아지는 결과를 나타냈다.

초미세분쇄/공기분급을 이용한 대두피 분획물의 특성과 응용 (Characteristics and Application of Soybean Hull Fractions Obtained by Microparticulation/Air-Classification)

  • 초미세분쇄한 대두피 분말을 공기분급휠속도 (ACWS, air classifying wheel speed) 10,000 rpm, 12,000 rpm 및 20,000 rpm에서 공기분급하였을 경우 회분, 단백질 및 지방은 조분획으로, 탄수화물은 미분획으로 각각 농축되었다. 식이섬유는 조분획으로 농축되었고, ACWS가 감소함에 따라 그 함량이 증가하였다. 분획별 입자크기는 ACWS가 감소함에 따라 증가하였는데 그 범위는 미분획은 $3.1{\mu}m\;to\;5.5{\mu}m$였고, 조분획은 $9.9{\mu}m\;to\;20.0{\mu}m$였으며, 그 형태는 분획에 관계없이 대부분 모서리가 있는 타원형이었다. 전반적으로 낮은 ACWS에서 높은 점도를 보였고, 보수력, 보유력 및 유화력의 경우 조분획과 미분획에 유의적인 차이가 있으나 ACWS에 따라서는 차이가 없었다. 식품응용실험 결과 대두피 분말을 10, 20, 30% 각각 대체시켜 튀김옷으로 활용하였을 때, 기름 흡수량이 대조구에 비하여 감소하였으며, 케익과 쿠키의 제조에 있어서 밀가루를 대두피 분말로 10% 수준까지 성공적으로 대체할 수 있었다.
