기혼여성의 비정규 노동과 일/가족 갈등 -학습지 교사를 중심으로 (Married Women's contingent Work and Work/Family Conflicts - Concentrating on Study Paper Instructors)

  • The goal of this study is to analyze the complicated and diverse nature of the relationship between work and family life for the study paper instructors of whom are married women. The survey data for these analyses were from an in depth interview which was conducted with the 21 contingent female workers as study samples. They are the married women, who started to work or returned to work after an absence to raise a family. The results showed that in reality the contingent female worker faced worse working conditions than the full time female labour force, even if women were determined to be a study paper instructor to meet work and family demand. It was the contingent women worker with a short time work experience who were in the worst position tlo adjust their working arrangements to suit their family needs and were confronted with the greater inter-role friction as a vulnerable group. The study revealed that instrumental and emotional support of husband has a positive effect on maintaining job role and lessening role conflicts and stress of the women. The work/family relationship indicated its double side, conflict and support. The women simply could not afford to depend on the psychological support form family in the midst of the inferior employment conditions and the absence of social support. This strategy, however, was based on the family ideology and the patriarchal gender division of labor. It caused the overload, stress and poor health of women involving some risk to give up the work.

기업내부노동시장의 승진과 임금: 성별 차이를 중심으로 (Promotion and Wage in the Internal Labour Market : Sexual Differences)

  • 본 고에서는 한국노동패널자료를 이용하여 승진가능성 및 승진경험에 있어 남녀의 성별격차를 실증적으로 분석하고 승진가능성 및 승진경험이 성별 임금격차에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있다. 먼저 근로자의 특성과 승진경험과의 관계를 파악하기 위해 logit모형을 추정하고 의태분석을 실시하였다. 다른 설명변수를 통제하였을 때. 근로자가 현 직장에서 승진하였을 확률은 남성이 여성의 2배에 달하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 분석대상을 승진가능성이 있거나 승진경험이 있는 임금근로자로 제한하면 성별 격차가 크게 완화되어 남성의 57.1%와 여성의 44.4%가 승진경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 여성 임금근로자의 70% 정도가 승진가능성이 없는 직종에 취업하고 있다는 사실을 반영하고 있으며, 승진가능 직종의 여성 취업확대가 중요하다는 점을 나타낸다. 또한 근속기간의 증가에 따라 남녀 모두 승진경험의 확률이 높아진다는 결과는 여성의 승진을 위해 경력단절 완화가 중요함을 시사한다. Oaxaca and Ransom의 방법론을 사용하여 성별 임금격차를 분해한 결과 인적자원, 거주지역 등의 설명변수가 임금격차의 62 9%를 설명하고 있었다 그러나 설명변수에 승진가능성 및 승진경험을 포함시켰을 경우에는 설명변수가 남녀 임금격차의 69.5%를 설명하였다. 승진가능성 및 승진경험이 성별 임금격차의 13.9%를 설명하여 임금에 미치는 승진의 중요성이 확인되었고. 여성의 경우 승진가능성 및 승진경험의 임금영향력이 상대적으로 높게 추정되었다.

Gender Differences in Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders among Agricultural Workers

  • Objective: The aim of this paper is to survey the gender differences Work-related musculoskeletal disorders among agriculture workers. Background: The number of occupational injuries has been decreasing trend in Korea, but it has been increasing in agriculture. The ratio of women worker shows steady increasing trend among the agricultural worker in Korea. Method: This study investigated through the questionnaire to 358 agricultural workers who are working for agriculture located in Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk and Jeju. Results: The task types occurring frequently and the weight of a heavy object handled according to the sex were showed statistically significant difference. The estimation of WMSDs patients by sex appeared statistically very significant difference. Conclusion: The prevalence rate of WMSDs in female was about 21 percent higher than the prevalence rate of WMSDs in male. Application: The result of this study will help improvement of work environment and prevention of WMSDs in agricultural work.

외국인 근로자들의 건강 실태 조사 연구 (A Study of Actual Conditions of the Health for the Foreign Workers)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify foreign worker's health problem. Method: Data were collected by interview and analyzed by using the Chi-square test and Fisher's exact test. Result: The most frequent health problem was 'diarrhea' and the next, 'cold' and 'dental caries'. There were significant differences in health problem by gender. There were significant differences in health problem, regular health checkup between legal workers and illegal workers. Conclusion: Judging from this study result, health program for foreign workers should be developed according to whether they are male or female and whether they are legal or illegal immigrants.

Gender Difference in the Perceived Brand Authenticity of Office Worker

  • The central objective of this paper is to check different effects developed by interaction with a gender and brand attributes related to the brand authenticity such as brand authority and brand ethicality. The survey method was used for this paper, and data from a total of 136 office workers were used for the analysis. The data were analyzed using smartPLS, a structural equation modeling tool. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows. First, brand authority has a significant effect on brand authenticity in both male and female. Second, brand ethicality has a significant effect on brand authenticity in only male. Third, brand authenticity has a significant effect on purchase and word-of-mouth intention in only male. Therefore brand authority is the determinant of the perceived brand authenticity. The findings have significant implications which the study inquires into the gender difference in the perceived brand authenticity of consumers.

남녀근로자의 복부비만에 따른 대사증후군 구성요소, 비정상 간기능 및 생활습관 비교 (Comparison of Metabolic Syndrome Components, Abnormal Liver Function, and Living Habits according to Abdominal Obesity in Male and Female Workers)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to compare the metabolic syndrome components, liver function and heathy living habits according to abdominal obesity in male and female workers. Methods: The subjects of this study are 1,078 adult workers who visited N hospital in Incheon for health examination. The data were analyzed using t-test or $x^2$-test with the SPSS/WIN 20.0 program. Results: Prevalence of metabolic syndrome are 22.2% in male workers, and 5.2% in female workers. There were significant differences in 4 metabolic syndrome components (high blood pressure, elevated blood sugar, hypertriglyceridemia, low HDL cholesterolemia), abnormal liver function, and living habits (alcohol drinking) according to abdominal obesity in male workers. There were significant differences in 1 metabolic syndrome component (low HDL cholesterolemia), and abnormal liver function in female workers. Conclusion: It is important to manage all metabolic syndrome components and alcohol drinking in the case of male workers with abdominal obesity, and low HDL cholesterolemia in the case of female workers. Also, occupational nurses should include the relevance between abdominal obesity and liver function index when training health for workers in workplace.

The Way of Improving the Working Environment for Female Workers on Construction Site Based on Construction Welfare Facilities

  • This paper reports problems of current working environment on construction site in South Korea from a female laborers' point of view and proposes solutions to improve the environment. To investigate and analyze the problems, a questionnaire survey and a focus group interview were conducted with 341 engineers and 557 laborers. Among them female engineers and female laborers were 51 and 136 respectively. Findings are the facilities related with welfare facilities such as lavatories, shower rooms, lounges and changing room, etc. for women were not sufficient and even not installed only for women because all of the planners for the facilities were men and The Standard of Estimate does not consider gender distinction. The data on the trade and the number of female laborers were not recorded and this study confirmed the number and the proportion of female laborers according to construction progress i.e. the proportion of female laborers were 0% ~ 11% (average 6%) at 26 construction sites having 2% ~ 92 % construction progress. In order to solve these problems, gender education for the welfare facility planner is required and the current Standard of Estimate should be revised considering female laborers after collecting the site data for the number of female laborers according progress and the increase in the construction cost should be reflected in the contract amount accordingly. Conclusively temporary work planning related with welfare facilities should be established and conducted in terms of gender equality at construction sites. In addition, improving working environment on construction sites for female laborers will enhance the company's image and also helping solve the labor shortage problem by women laborers engaging in construction industry easily.

사회복지기관 기혼 여성 사회복지사의 일과 가정 양립을 위한 가족 친화적 조직문화에 대한 연구 (The Study on the Family-Friendly Organizational Culture for Enhancing the Job Engagement of the Married Female Social Worker in the Social Welfare Organization)

  • 본 논문은 가족 친화적 조직문화가 사회복지기관 기혼 여성 사회복지사의 직무열의에 미치는 영향과, 양자 간에 일-가정 갈등이 가진 매개효과를 규명하고, 이를 바탕으로 사회복지기관의 바람직한 가족 친화적 조직문화 조성을 위한 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과, 가족 친화적 조직문화는 직무열의에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 일-가정 갈등을 매개로 직무열의에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이로써 일-가정 갈등이 가족 친화적 조직문화와 직무열의 간의 매개효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 가족 친화적 조직문화가 기혼 여성 사회복지사의 일-가정 갈등을 경감시키고 직무열의를 향상시키는 좋은 방안임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 사회복지기관의 가족 친화적 조직문화를 형성하기 위해서는 일과 가정의 조화를 중시하는 가치를 공유하는 수준을 넘어, 조직 내 모든 근로자에게 적용되는 탄력근무제와 직무표준화, 성과관리제 그리고 인사시스템 등을 갖추어져야 한다고 제언했다.

제조업 근로자의 스켈링에 대한 행태와 관련요인 (Scaling Behavior of Manufacturing Industry Worker)

  • The study was performed to examine the scaling behavior about dental health. The subjects of this study were 700 workers selected in Daegu. This survey was carried out during 2003. 7. 15 - 2003. 7. 31. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Distribution of respondent's class was male of $53.5\%, female of $46.2\%, and 30's age of $36.2\%, 20's age of $28.2\%. Concerning about dental health was appeared that female was higher rate than male. also, difference was related in their age, working department and residence. 2. In case of no experience to scaling for past 3 years was appeared that male of $67.6\% was higher rate than female of $56.8\%. The frequency of treat scaling was appeared that $46.2\% of the subjects was treated scaling per year. 3. The root cause of no treatment by regular was appeared that 'high expensive' was most high with $38.0\% and 2nd, 'didn't felt importance' was $24.2\%, 3rd 'lack of spare time' was $20.7\%, the last ranking 'only be frightened' was $14.3\%. 4. Method of learning knowledge about scaling was appeared that male and female were similar with their method of it. knowledge level of scaling was learned by internet were higher in worker of 20's age than any other age. also, other difference was related in school career and residence. Opinion about necessity of scaling answer which need or surely need were similar to male of $67.1\% and female of $72.6\%. 5. As for knowledge of scaling was appeared that male of $94.3\% and female of $87.1\% had corrective knowledge. The right answer was significantly different by ages, school career, working department and residence.

이벤트업 종사원의 긍정심리자본과 이직의도간의 관계에서 직무열의의 매개효과 (Mediated effect of job engagement in relationship between positive psychological capital and turnover intention of the event worker)

  • 본 연구는 이벤트 종사원의 긍정심리자본과 이직의도 간의 관계를 직무열의가 매개하는지를 파악하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 부산지역의 이벤트업에 종사하는 20대에서 50대, 남녀 총 394명을 대상으로 하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 분석은 매개효과를 파악하기 위한 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 긍정심리자본은 직무열의를 정적으로 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 긍정심리자본은 이직의도를 부적으로 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 직무열의는 이직의도를 부적으로 유의미하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 직무열의는 긍정심리자본과 이직의도 간의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이벤트 종사원의 이직의도를 낮추고, 직무열의를 높이기 위한 근무환경 개선과 긍정심리자본을 향상 시킬 수 있는 중재 프로그램을 개발하기 위한 지속적인 연구의 필요성을 제언하였다.
