고속가공을 위한 검사시편에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Speciman For High Speed Machining)

  • The properties of a machine tool greatly affect machining quality since a machine tool has large variance in its features. Machine tool makers want to find best machining condition with the one that they have built. Machine builders need to develop test specimen since it helps finding characteristics of machine tools when the machining properties of the specimen are analyzed. This paper develops test specimen to identify features of the main spindle, the feeding device, and the frame of a machine tool. The specimen is machined with a high speed machine and the features of the machine are analyzed with test items. They are surface roughness, overshoot in axial movement, errors in circular movement, feeding with small movement and compensational error. This work can improve usability for a machine tool in machining practice.

계절과 성분리 사육이 비육돈의 생산성, 스트레스 및 도체품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Season and Split-sex Feeding on Performance, Stress and Carcass Quality of Finishing Pigs)

  • 본 연구는 계절과 성 분리가 생산성, 스트레스, 도체품질 및 육질에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 여름과 겨울로 계절을 나누고 각 계절별 암컷구, 거세 수컷구 및 혼합구를 설정하고 평균체중 $82.1{\pm}0.82kg$인 삼원교잡$(LY{\times}D)$ 비육돈 270두를 공시하여 비육돈 생산성과 출하 과정의 스트레스 및 도체품질과 육질을 분석하였다. 사료섭취량은 겨울에 많았고 증체 또한 겨울에 우수하였다 (p<0.05). 성 분리는 사료요구율에 영향을 미치며, 겨울과 혼합구가 양호한 것으로 나타났다 (p<0.05). 상차 후 혈중 cortisol과 CPK치가 급격하게 상승하는 것으로 나타나 상차시 극도의 스트레스가 주어지는 것으로 나타났다. 상차시 급격한 상승을 보였던 혈중 cortisol과 CPK 농도는 수송과정에 낮아지며, 3시간 계류 후에는 출하 전 수준으로 안정되었다. 상차 후 계절 관계없이 혼합구가 가장 높은 cortisol 농도를 보여 돈 방내에서의 수준을 유지하는 경향을 나타내었고 거세 수컷 혹은 암컷만으로 구성된 돈 군간에는 차이가 없었다. 도체품질은 겨울에 우수하였고 PSE 발생율 또한 겨울이 낮아지는 경향을 보였다. 여름철 거세 수컷구가 가장 높은 PSE 발생율을 나타내었으나 겨울철 혼합구는 가장 낮게 나타났다 (p<0.05). 계절과 성 분리가 돼지고기의 pH, drip loss 및 육색 등 육질에는 영향을 미치지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 요약하면 여름철에 비육돈 관리 특히 출하취급에 보다 세심한 배려가 필요하며, 성 분리는 관리자, 시설 등 농장여건에 따라 적용 여부를 결정하는 것이 타당할 것으로 판단된다.

영유아 섭식에 관한 영양교육이 어머니의 영양지식.태도 및 실천에 미치는 효과 (Effect of the Nutrition Education for Infant Feeding on Mother's Knowledge, Attitude, Practice of Weaning)

  • 본 연구에서는 어머니의 영양 지식과 태도는 영아기 영양관리와 건강에 중요한 인자가 될 수 있다고 사료되어 수유와 이유를 실시하는 어머니를 대상으로 영유아기 섭식에 관한 영양지식 정도와 태도를 측정하였다. 또한 종단적으로 아기의 성장에 맞는 섭식 관리에 대한 영양 교육을 실시한 후 부모의 영양 지식과 태도의 변화 및 이에 다른 수유와 이유 과정의 진행을 체계적으로 분석하여 영유아기의 올바른 섭식 관리의 지침을 제시하는데 도움을 주고자 했다. 이를 위해 임신 후반의 특정 질환이 없는 임신부중 정상적인 재태 기간과 정상 분만을 한 88명의 어머니와 영유아를 대상으로 54명은 교육군, 34명은 대조군으로 분류한 후, 임신 말부터 생후 12개월까지 6회의 영양교육과 5차에 걸친 설문조사로 수행되었다. 본 연구대상자의 일반 사항은 교육군와 대조군에서 차이가 없었다. 즉 영아의 출생시 평균 체중과 신장은 3.32kg과 50.95cm로 한국 소아 신체발육치와 비슷하였으며, 어머니의 평균 연령은 28.8세, 학력은 고졸 35.2%, 대졸 64.5%였다. 직업을 갖고 있는 경우는 교육군 14.5%, 대조군 19.3%로 큰 차이가 없었다. 이유지식은 교육전 10점중 대조군 $7.33{\pm}0.92$점, 교육군 $7.54{\pm}1.03$점이었다. 이유시기에 관해서는 낮은 점수를, 이유식을 먹이는 방법에 있어서는 높은 점수를 나타냈으며 그룹간 차이는 없었다. 반면 교육후에는 10점중 대조군 8.33점, 교육군 9.06점으로 교육군이 대조군에 비해 높았다(p<0.05). 교육 후 이유태도는 5점중 교육군 $3.74{\pm}0.36$, 대조군 $3.52{\pm}0.35$로 교육군이 바람직한 태도를 보여주었다. 특히, 선식이용과 소금.설탕 이용, 이유식을 조제분유와 섞어 먹이는 것에 대해서는 교육군이 대조군보다 바람직한 태도를 나타내었다(p<0.05). 이유식 먹이기에 있어서 교육군이 대조군보다 스푼을 이용해서 떠 먹이는 것을 많이 실시하고 있었고 6개월 때 떠먹는 정도 또한 교육군에서 좋았다. 설탕이용 및 시판이유식의 이용은 대조군이 유의적으로 많았다(p<0.05). 또한 $9{\sim}12$개월 때 이유식 섭취빈도는 시판 우유 및 조제유를 포함한 '우유.유제품'과 '과자류'의 이용에서 대조군이 유의적으로 많이 섭취했다(p<0.05). 특히 시판우유의 이용이 대조군에서 월등히 많았다(p<0.01).이상에서와 같이 영양교육에 따른 두 그룹을 비교해본 결과 이유기 영양에 관한 교육에 따른 변화를 볼 수 있었다 특히 교육군에서 이유식을 먹이는 방법, 식품의 선택이 보다 바람직하게 제시되어 어머니를 대상으로 한 영양교육의 실시는 아기의 바람직한 식행동을 유도할 수 있다고 사료된다. 또한 이유식을 통한 다양한 식품의 경험 및 식품 섭취방법 등을 연습하는 과정을 통해 앞으로의 식생활 및 성장 발달에 영향을 미칠 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 영유아의 성장발달에 따른 적절한 영양교육의 실시가 보다 체계적으로 활성화 되어야 하겠으며 이를 위해 실제로 도움이 될 수 있는 구체적인 교육내용, 방법 및 도구의 개발이 요구된다.

스마트 폰 동영상을 활용한 피드백 자율실습이 기본간호수기 수행능력, 수행자신감 및 학습만족도에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Self-directed Feedback Practice using Smartphone Videos on Basic Nursing Skills, Confidence in Performance and Learning Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study was done to verify effects of a self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos on nursing students' basic nursing skills, confidence in performance and learning satisfaction. Methods: In this study an experimental study with a post-test only control group design was used. Twenty-nine students were assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Experimental treatment was exchanging feedback on deficiencies through smartphone recorded videos of nursing practice process taken by peers during self-directed practice. Results: Basic nursing skills scores were higher for all items in the experimental group compared to the control group, and differences were statistically significant ["Measuring vital signs" (t=-2.10, p=.039); "Wearing protective equipment when entering and exiting the quarantine room and the management of waste materials" (t=-4.74, p<.001) "Gavage tube feeding" (t=-2.70, p=.009)]. Confidence in performance was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the differences were not statistically significant. However, after the complete practice, there was a statistically significant difference in overall performance confidence (t=-3.07. p=.003). Learning satisfaction was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (t=-1.67, p=.100). Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos can improve basic nursing skills. The significance is that it can help nursing students gain confidence in their nursing skills for the future through improvement of basic nursing skills and performance of quality care, thus providing patients with safer care.

종합병원 입원 환자의 간호대학생 실습허용에 대한 견해 및 인식 (Opinions and Perceptions on Allowing Nursing Students' Practice among Inpatients at a University Hospital)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to explore the patients' perspectives on nursing students' clinical practices in the wards, and to investigate their willingness for allowing students to practice on them. Methods: This was a descriptive study. 116 inpatients were recruited from the S University Hospital. A 60-item questionnaire was applied to collect the data. The participants were 19 years and older with sound judgement, and were not in special or intensive care units. Data analysis was done in SPSS/WIN 22.0 using descriptive statistics, Fishers exact test, and the ANOVA test. the participant answered to questionnaire from April 29th 2016 to May 10th. Results: 40 participants (34.5%) stated they would allow students' practice, while 72 (61.2%) said they would allow only under staff supervision. 5 participants (4.3%) stated they would not allow whatsoever. The 3 most allowed were emotional support, oral care, and vital signs measurement while the 3 least allowed were gastric feeding, intravenous catheterization, and urinary catheterization. Conclusion: Patients were more inclined to allow students to practice on them when a member of the medical team was present. A fair number of participants said they would be more inclined to allow students' practice if they felt the student was competent; hence, reinforcing simulation sessions is vital in enhancing students' competency and ultimately practice allowance.

Compliance of mothers' breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices with WHO recommendations in Turkey

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to evaluate how breastfeeding and complementary nutrition practices of mothers of 0-24-month-old children comply with the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations for infant and young child feeding and to compare the results with selected demographic parameters related to the mother and child. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The research sample comprised mothers (n = 250) with children less than 2 years old. Data were obtained via questionnaire and were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 package program. The Pearson χ2 or Fisher's exact tests were used for assessing relationships between categorical variables. The one-sample t-test was used for comparisons with reference values. RESULTS: Most mothers (97.2%) breastfed their babies immediately after birth. The mean time to breastfeeding after delivery was 47.8 ± 14.8 minutes, and 40.8% of the mothers complied with the WHO recommendation. Furthermore, 59.8% of the mothers exclusively breastfed their children for 6 months (mean 5.2 ± 1.5 months). The mean duration to the start of providing complementary food was 5.8 ± 0.6 months, and 76.1% of mothers who complied with the WHO recommendation. Only 12.3% of mothers breastfed their children for at least 12 months (mean 7.7 ± 3.3 months). On average, mothers gave cow milk to their children for the first time at 10.1 ± 1.7 months and honey at 11.8 ± 2.3 months. The mothers' rates of compliance with the WHO recommendations on cow milk and honey feeding were 32.0% and 71.6%, respectively. The rate of mothers who complied with the WHO minimum meal frequency recommendation was 88.3%. CONCLUSIONS: We suggest that the WHO recommendations on this subject will be realized more fully by emphasizing the importance of the positive effects of breastfeeding until the age of 2 years and of a timely start of complementary food provision. Such changes will affect child health over the long term.

Grazing Behaviour of Saanen and Toggenburg Goats in Sub-Humid Tropical Conditions of Kenya

  • The behaviour of 6 Toggenburg and 6 Saanen female goats, grazing on natural vegatation in a modified sub-humid tropical environment of Kenya, was studied during the dry (January and February) and wet (April and May) seasons in 1997. The two exotic breeds grazed for 12 h daily. Observation on feeding, standing, lying and ruminating was done chronometrically at five minute intervals between 0600 and 1800 h. These grazing times were based on the current practice of small holder farmers. During the dry period, the average feeding, standing, lying and ruminating time per 12 h period for Saanens was 5.63, 4.57, 1.80 and 1.50 h respectively while that for Toggenburgs was 7.26, 3.21, 1.53 and 1.96 h, respectively. In the wet(Green) season, the mean feeding, standing, lying and ruminating time for Saanens was found to be 5.08, 4.63, 2.29 and 0.72, respectively.Toggenburgs spent more time feeding (p<0.05) than Saanens in both seasons. It was also observed that standing occured more often in Saanens than the Toggenburgs in the dry season. During the wet period, Saanens ruminated significantly longer than the Toggenburgs. The health status of the animals was determined by analyzing the respiratory frequency, heart rate, rectal temperature, hemoglobin, erythrocytes and leucocytes of the experimental animals. All the clinical and physiological parameters were within the normal physiological range of healthy goats. It was concluded that differences in the grazing behaviour of Saanens and Toggenburgs in the modified tropical environment of Kenya, do exist.

아토피피부염에서 모유를 통한 식품 알레르겐에의 감작 (Sensitization of Food Allergen in Breastfed Infant with Atopic Dermatitis)

  • Breastfeeding has been known as the best feeding practice to prevent allergies including atopic dermatitis (AD) However, the benefit on the prevention of allergic disease is still controversial. The objectives of this study were to examine the rate of sensitization to the protein of eggs, cow's milk and soy in exclusively breastfed infants and to evaluate antigen-antibody reaction between breast milk and serum of AD infant. Data on feeding and food hypersensitivity were obtained for 62 AD infants (32 male, 30 female) aged < 6 month who had visited Samsung Medical Center from September 2001 to May 2003. Food hypersensitivity was determined by measuring specific IgE to egg, cow's milk and soy. Specific IgE levels > 0.7 kU/L by CAP assay (Pharmacia, Uppsala, Sweden) were considered positive. The rates of sensitization in breastfed infants were $41.9\%$ (26/62) to egg, $30.6\%$ (19/62) to milk and $18.0\%$ (11/62) to soy. Immunoblotting analyses were performed using breast milk with the matched serum of seven AD infants (4 male/3 female). Binding patterns of AD infant's IgE to breast milk extract showed visible specific band for immunoglobulin, especially in case of a lactating mother who did not completely restricted ingestion of egg, milk and soy. These results indicate that sensitization to food allergen develops via breast milk feeding. Breast milk feeding should be recommended in infants at risk of developing allergic disease, but maternal intake of highly allergenic food might be restricted for prevention and treatment of food allergy among the babies with AD.
