  • In this paper, the problem of designing a feedback controller for a robotic manipulator, which is activated by a D.C. motor through a gear train and a flexible shaft or chain, is considered. When the response of the closed loop control system is relatively slow, a satisfactory controller may be designed as a PID controller. As the speed of the control system increases, however, the spring effect of the linkage becomes profound, and as a result, the transient response exhibits a substantial oscillation. To eliminate this oscillation, it is necessary to design the controller based on at least a fourth order system model. This, in turn, requires the feedback of the entire state variables. In practice, however, only the position of the manipulator and the velocity of the motor are readily measurable. The state variable reconstruction method or a state observer cannot be used because of the system nonlinearities such as the Coulomb frictions. In this study, an alternative controller, which is based on delayed feedback of the output variable only, is proposed, and a successful delayed feedback controller is designed and implemented on an actual experimental manipulator.

  • A general construction algorithm of the Grassmann space parameters in linear systems - so-called, the Plucker matrix, 'L' in m-input, p-output, n-th order static output feedback systems and the Plucker matrix, $'L^{aug}'$ in augmented (m+d)-input, (p+d)-output, (n+d)-th order static output feedback systems - is presented for numerical checking of necessary conditions of complete static and complete minimum d-th order dynamic output feedback pole-assignments, respectively, and also for discernment of deterministic computation condition of their pole-assignable real solutions. Through the construction of L, it is shown that certain generically pole-assignable strictly proper mp > n system is actually none pole-assignable over any (real and complex) output feedbacks, by intrinsic rank deficiency of some submatrix of L. And it is also concretely illustrated that this none pole-assignable mp > n system by static output feedback can be arbitrary pole-assignable system via minimum d-th order dynamic output feedback, which is constructed by deterministic computation under fullrank of some submatrix of $L^{aug}$.

  • In this study, the basic motor control system had been investigated. The Discrete-Time Feedback Error Learning (DTFEL) method is used to control this system. This method is anologous to the original continuous-time version Feedback Error Learning(FEL) control which is proposed as a control model of cerebellum in the field of computational neuroscience. The DTFEL controller consists of two main parts, a feedforward controller part and a feedback controller part. Each part will deals with different control problems. The feedback controller deals with robustness and stability, while the feedforward controller deals with response speed. The feedforward controller, used to solve the tracking control problem, is adaptable. To make such the tracking perfect, the adaptive law is designed so that the feedforward controller becomes an inverse system of the controlled plant. The novelty of FEL method lies in its use of feedback error as a teaching signal for learning the inverse model. The PD control theory is selected to be applied in the feedback part to guarantee the stability and solve the robust stabilization problems. The simulation of each individual part and the integrated one are taken to clarify the study.

  • The parameter modification of the initial FEM model to match it with the experimental results needs the modal information and the modal sensitivity matrix to the parameter change. There are two cases this methodology is ill-equip to deal with; the deficiency of the necessary modal information and the ill-conditioning of the sensitivity matrix. In this research, a novel concept of the feedback exciter that uses the summation of the white noise and the signals from the measurement sensors multiplied with feedback gains as the reference signal is proposed. There are 2 advantages using this external feedback excitation. First, we can use the change of the system response such as modal data by the active energy Path from the sensor to the exciter. This change of the system response can be additional clues to the system dynamics that we want to know. Secondly, the external energy Path alternates the offset of the Parameter change to the system response. That means the modal sensitivity of the parameters becomes different from the original sensitivities by the feedback excitation. Through the feedback loop, we can change the similar modal sensitivities of some updating parameters and consequently discriminate the parameters using the closed-loop modal data. To demonstrate the discrimination performance, the parameter estimation of an indeterminate structure by use of the feedback method is introduced.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a vibration feedback system in improving two safe seating postures of office workers. In addition, the relative effectiveness of positive and negative feedback procedures was examined. Participants were four office workers. The dependent variables were the percentages of time participants spent in the safe sitting postures including shoulder, back, and overall body positions during the experimental sessions. A multiple-baseline design counterbalanced across participants was adopted. For two participants, the negative procedure was introduced first after baseline and positive procedure was introduced in the next phase. For the other two participants, the sequence of introducing the positive and negative feedback procedures was reversed. The result showed that the vibration feedback system, regardless of the type of the procedure, was effective in improving the safe sitting postures for all participants. However, the difference between the two procedures was not clearly shown. The benefits of the automated observation and vibration feedback system in workers' safety were discussed.

  • In this paper new inverter control system for TG feedback a formula Control was developed. The motor control system with TG feedback controller as an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. The function of the implementation are TG feedback type, and temperature scheme. The Inverter Control System approach is based on master-slave control concept. To show validity of the developed new inverter control system, severial experiments are illustrated.

  • We describe the effects of additional feedback in external cavity semiconductor lasers, which are sensitive to feedback phase. It is shown that additional feedback with favorable phase can serve to enhance mode selectivity. The optimum feedback conditions to maximize the system immunity against unwanted additional feedback with unfavorable phase have also been determined.

  • This paper presents a decentralized input-output feedback linearizing controller for a multi-machine power system. Firstly, the controller is designed using input-output feedback linearization for modified outputs. Then we present a guideline for selecting gains of the controller and parameters in the modified outputs. Simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme and the selection guideline.

  • A New type of controller for stabilization of ordinary system in which delayed states are included in feedback loop, is presented. Simple conditions are proposed for the stabilization of ordinary systems with the delayed state feedback controller. Under these conditions, controller gains can be chosen such that desired system performances are satisfied. It is shown that by using this controller the performance and robustness of the resulting closed loop system are much improved compared to the conventional memoryless state feedback controllers.

  • To make a dynamic system a given desired motion trajectory, a new feedback error learning scheme is proposed which is based on the repeatability of dynamic system motion. This method is composed of feedforward and feedback control laws. A benefit of this control scheme is that the input pattern that generates the desired motion can be formed without estimating the physical parameters of system dynamics. The numerical simulations show the good performance of the proposed scheme
