A very small patch-type RFID tag antenna (UHF band) using ceramic material mountable on metallic surfaces is presented. The size of the proposed tag is 25 mm${\times}$25 mm${\times}$3 mm. The impedance of the antenna can be easily matched to the tag chip impedance by adjusting the size of the shorting plate of the patch and the size of the feeding loop. The measured maximum reading distance of the tag at 910 MHz was 5 m when it was mounted on a 400 mm${\times}$400 mm metallic surface. The proposed design is verified by simulation and measurements which show good agreement.

Universal design equations are presented for the H-plane T-junction power divider with a circular conducting post in a rectangular waveguide. For a given operating frequency and power split ratio, the post offset from the T-junction center line, the distance between the post and the waveguide wall, and the post diameter can be adjusted to obtain a minimum reflection at the input waveguide. Optimum values of the post offset are given in terms of the normalized frequency and the power split ratio. Corresponding values of the post diameter and the distance of the post from the waveguide wall are given in terms of the normalized frequency and the post offset.
It is expected, in the near future, that the use of distributed generation systems should be increased considerably. In this case, distance relay algorithm should be developed in the manner that it can reduce the error due to the in-feed effect. This paper presents a method to consider the fault current rushed from the remote end of a line. In the steady-state, the relays in both ends exchange the voltages of upper nodes. If a fault is perceived, the relay calculates fault location taking the fault current from the remote end by using voltage data of the remote ends obtained just before the fault. Even though this method has inevitable error, it can show more precise fault allocation. The suggested method is applied to a typical transmission system with two power sources in both ends to verify its effectiveness.
Impinging angle, impinging distance, length eve. diameter and injection pressure of a triplet injector were tested to evaluate the spray characteristics injected by liquid/gas combinations. Two different kinds of unlike triplet sprays were produced by changing the gas and liquid feed lines. One was the G-L-G(Gas-Liquid-Gas) type, and the other was L-G-L(Liquid-Gas-Liquid) type. Spray angles were wider with the G-L-G type than with L-G-L type. Mass distributions in spray were obtained with a, mechanical patternator. Mass distributions were not circular but elliptical distributions. When the range of mechanical patternator to injector decreased, mass distributions were more concentrated in the center region.

When conducting a powder blasting to a spinning cylindrical workpiece in the codition of 0.76~1.5(mm) in nozzle size, 1~5(atm) in working pressure, and 40~100(mm) in stand off distance, the value of surface roughness becomes under $0.283{\mu}m$, which is not enough to expand a bonding area. In the case of horizontal transfer blasting with 0.76mm of nozzle size, 100mm of stand off distance, and 2~5atm of working pressure, $0.5{\sim}0.7{\mu}m$ of surface roughness has achieved regardless of feed rate.
Restriction orifices in the feed and bleed circuit of nuclear power plant are designed using computer program capable of handling multiple hole cascade orifice assembly. Single hole stages of orifice assembly are alternated with multihole stages where necessary. The distance between stages is such that it allows full pressure recovery. The minimum static pressure is higher than vapor pressure at the operating temperature so that cavitation does not occur. Piping sizes are reviewed and increased if necessary to improve rigidity.

This study was performed to investigate the influence of spraying condition to the coating layer properties of Fe-Cr-Ni-Mo-Si-B alloy using the HVOF. The investigations, such as thickness measurement, surface roughness, hardness, friction coefficient, resistance of corrosion were carried out. Matrix is prepared by gritting and coating layer is made of Fe-Cr-Ni-Mo-Si-B alloy powder using HVOF. Alumina gritting layers are superior to steel gritting layers. The less spaying distance, the more coating layer properties confirmed. The optimum spraying condition, in this study, was proved as 13inch spraying distance with feed rate 350rpm (78g/min).
Hot filament-assisted CVD was carried out to deposit diamond films on Si(100) substrate at 90$0^{\circ}C$ using a 1% CH4-H2 mixture gas. Deposition was made at various conditions of mass flow rate of the feed gas (30~1000 sccm), pressure (2.5~300 Torr), and filament-substrate distance (4~15 mm), and the deposited films were characterized by SEM, XRD, and Raman spectroscopy. As the flow rate increases, the growth rate also increased but the crystallinity of the film was degraded. A longer filament-substrate distance simply caused both the growth rate and the crystallinity to become poorer. On the other hand, the pressure variation resulted in a maximum growth rate of 2.6 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/hr at 10 Torr and the best film quality around 50 Torr, exhibiting an optimum condition. The observed trends were interpreted in terms of the flow velocity-dependent pyrolysis reaction efficiency and mass transport through the boundary layer.

The power supply system in Korean electrified railway has adopted AT feeding. If a fault occurs in some substation for any reason, the vicinity substation must feed electric power on the outage substation through catenary. So, the feeding distance grows twice of the normal state at extended feeding condition. If substation's feeding distance is longer than normal condition, the catenary impedance and train to supply electric power from the substation. Therefore, the severe voltage drop can occur and power supply shall be not allowed. This paper presents the model of compensator against voltage drop using multi-port network algorithm. Whole traction power supply system can be analyzed with this model. Computer simulation including this model is performed based on real train schedule and increased schedule in case studies.

This paper presents an automated cow-feeding system based on an AGV and screw conveyor for domestic livestock farms, which are becoming larger and more commercialized. The system includes a hopper module for loading pellet-type mixed feed at the top of the system, a transfer module mounted with a screw conveyor to transfer feed from the hopper module to the outlet module, an outlet module composed of belt conveyors, and an electromagnetic guided driving-type AGV. The weight of the loaded feed is measured by a load cell located under the transfer module. The system reads the feed discharge information stored in RFID tags installed in each cowshed cell, and a predetermined amount of feed is discharged while the AGV is moving. A cow-feed test system was constructed to determine the design parameters of the screw conveyor in the transfer module that determine the feeding capacity. These parameters include the screw's outer diameter, the screw shaft outer diameter, and screw pitch. The parameters were applied to the finalized cow-feed system construction. A DSP-based main controller and cow-feeding algorithm for different scenarios were also developed to control the system. Experimental results confirmed that the system could supply a total of 21 kg of feed uniformly at 420 g/s for a cowshed cell which has 7 cows. The driving distance was 5 m and the speed was 0.1 m/s. Thus, the proposed system could be applied to standardized domestic livestock farms.
